It was all to a good standard

Adjoining room, the people next door were loud. I was kept awake by their tv and then woken at 5 by them

Probably the best leisure facilities I have encountered at a hotel at this price point.

Rooms are a little old fashioned, but thats nick picking. Everything was pristine, the beds were comfy I couldn't have really asked for more.

Temperature / no ventilation / paint falls from the ceiling / rotten wood of the slide door. / horrible smell of the towels./ shower temp difficult to adjust. The fan is loaded with nasty dust. And the cost of a breakfast./ cost of hotel way out of proportion!

The layout, space, connection to what we needed

This is a beautifully presented hotel and Spa. The restaurant food is lovely but a little more expensive than you'd pay at a local cafe. Facilities were well used by patrons and kept beautifully clean. i love the balconies what a fab addition also the air con is good. The bed are very comfy, and there is a full bathroom ensure. Extremely happy to find an iron and ironing board and a trouser press

The pillows were a little hard and I felt like i was, sliding down the bed

The location

It was mid heat wave, a broken fan which I requested a new one, no air con, windows wouldn’t fully open & the view was awful, the middle of the out door area was overgrown. Food massively over priced the same as the prices for wine & beer, the prices they charged would match a 5 star hotel with the prices for the food to match a 5 star restaurant! Basic sandwiches massively overpriced. We had to go to reception 5 times to ask if our room was ready as it was still being cleaned past 3.30pm! Breakfast was included in our booking but wasn’t when we arrived

Had problems with air conditioner and noise of water dripping constantly at night. Some staff were less than accommodating.

My only comment and it wasn’t an issue is some items like the towel rails and taps are starting to look a bit tired but everything was great for us.

Restaurant and gym was good. Pool and spa areas were decent.

Rooms had a bad distinct smell in them. Room wasn’t cleaned properly before stay, empty wine bottles and caps found in room and balcony.

From the warm welcome received from the chap on reception on Saturday evening to the lovely rooms allocated (107 and 109 which have interconnecting doors) - everything was way better than we expected. The two pools were great..it was lovely to swim on Sunday morning without having kids in the way as they had their own pool. Beautiful ladies changing rooms with lots of showers and changing rooms. I've already recommended the hotel to a friend who has now booked a spa weekend later in the year. Really impressed with everything.

Only that the lift was out of order on the night we stayed..my 87 year old mum would have appreciated it.

No air con, the room smelt of cigarette smoke, dust hanging down from the long mirror. Customer Service lift out of order.

It was really great except no tu.blers for water

Easy location, helpful staff and the aircon in my room was a godsend in the recent heat! Great pools with adult only and family areas. Room was clean and comfortable.

The shower could have been a little better, and the loo made a noise when flushing though both of those were minor issues. Had to pay extra for a fridge in my room - would be nice perhaps for all rooms to have them?

Unfortunately our air conditioning did not work, the remote got replaced but it didn't work. When we arrived it was 31 degrees, however for bed we decided to keep the balcony door open to sleep and there was a nice cool breeze that helped us to sleep.

Bathroom was very clean. Good shower and a bonus a bath. Lovely big mirror that was well lit. French lady at breakfast was very kind and welcoming and eager to help.

Beds were uncomfortable. You could see they needed replacing as the underneath had sacked through to the floor. Curtains were hanging off the rails and it was hard to cover the windows completely. No complete privacy. Receptionist was very unwelcoming and only brightened up when I apologised for being early and agreed to an additional charge to check in early. I tried to explain to her that I had messaged ahead to ask if we could check in earlier but said we don't get messages from booking.com as if it was my problem. We ask for 3 things from a stay. A good bed, a good shower and friendly staff so you feel welcomed and at ease. Im afraid it didn't measure up. Even a swimming pool won't make it better. Very expensive for what we received.

From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt like a peaceful retreat. The gym was outstanding, the staff warm and welcoming, and every meal was delicious. Our massage was exceptional and truly elevated the whole experience.

We stayed 2 nights after the first nights stay housekeeping came to refresh the room. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned towels left in the bath. the bed only just about made. I doubt if they spent more than 2 minutes in there. On the first night there was a wedding which kept us awake until 3.00am Breakfast was only just ok.

Great location with large free car park. Friendly greeting on arrival. Great sized well equipped gym. Nice room with shower, bath, tea and coffee. Lovely evening meal, and a great breakfast selection too. Recommended!

If I really had to nit pick, the furniture in the room was a bit tired, and for me the pillows could have been firmer, but those are genuinely tiny things that didn't spoil my stay whatsoever. The TV didn't seem to have any channels, so I just watched BTCC on my phone instead. It would have been nice if I could have cast that to the TV, but it was no big deal.

Staff were super friendly. Very accommodating! Overall enjoyed the stay.

Pretty much enjoyed everything. Only thing is the restaurant prices are quite high especially if you want food just for lunch. A lunchtime menu would be better

poorly maintained hotel with no AC Doors of the room are extremely loud as they're getting closed Dirty glasses and carpets with clusters of hairs on them worn out room with holes in the wallpaper, the curtain had a tear, at the reception asking us 15 GBP fee for a little fridge in the room which should be a standard for a 4 star hotel. The overall experience was uncomfortable and far below expectations.

No aircon anywhere in the hotel, stiflingly hot room, it was like trying to sleep in a sauna.

Second time staying at Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa, and once again it was a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, always willing to help, and consistently provide outstanding service. A special mention goes to the French-speaking member of staff in the breakfast area, who has been exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always greets guests with a warm smile. Their friendliness truly made each morning even more enjoyable. Thank you for another great stay!

Pillows terrible. Very lumpy. Asked for another one and exactly the same. Restaurant looked like a canteen and food a bit pricey.

The staff were amazing.

It was run down, there was no air con in the rooms, I was on the first floor and it was unbearably hot. The building was also very run down.

The hotel was v welcoming and the reception staff v friendly.The bar was excellent and we enjoyed relaxing there.

There was a misunderstanding for payment for breakfasts . Four breakfast swerve put under one room which caused a lot of confusion.

No plug sockets next to the bed. Very small shower but the bathroom itself was a good size - plenty of room to make bigger. You can hear everything from other rooms.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the young lad on reception and Arthur from maintenance. The outside area by the bar is very relaxing.

The air conditioning unit couldn't cope with the extreme heat and poured out water, which I spent time mopping up on the wall and carpet. The food is very overpriced for the quality in the main restaurant.

Very nice room with a coffee maker included. Complimentary drinks were a nice touch. Balcony was lovely and cool. The grounds were great. The cot was very comfortable for my baby.

The fan wasn’t working very well. It didn’t help much.

The gym, decent equipment and air conditioning

The hotel does not have air conditioning if all rooms. To get a room with air conditioning you had to book Superior King or Deluxe Double, we checked in on a Sunday for 6 nights for business and booked a Superior King with breakfast. There was a heat wave with daytime temperatures from 35C to 39C, we were given a smaller room without air conditioning. Went back to reception and explained what we booked. We ended up with a Deluxe Double as all the Superior rooms were taken. Reception said our booking did not include breakfast, so we had it added when we checked in. Every morning we went to breakfast we were not on the list and the person checking the list had to call reception. The lack of air conditioning included the dining room where it was too hot to eat dinner there. The two indoor pools were not air conditioned while the water temperature was in the low 20s. It was not comfortable. On the Friday before our trip I sent an e-mail to reception asking if they had a recommended taxi service from Heathrow. On Thursday our 5 night I received this e-mail “Central Reservations<stay@theqhotelscollection.co.uk> Thank you for contacting The QHotels Collection Admin Team, We have received your email and our dedicated team will be working really hard to respond back to you as soon as possible!”

The location of the Hotel is great for visiting Family in the area, also electric charging on site

There was no hot water as the boiler was broken so could not take a shower. Very dated worn out carpet and not very clean. Hotel was locked up on arrival.

Room allocated was comfy and clean. The room got very hot with sun beating in through the windows, had to fully open the windows to try to cool the room also with the room fan on full power. Had an issue with the room TV - no signal, ring reception, no answer, so fixed it myself.

Outside the open windows a very loud EXTRACTOR FAN ran ALL NIGHT which disrupted our sleep. Mentioned fan issue on check out to be given an apology only.
