That restaurant/pub really bad service
Hôtel moderne avec grand parking, chambre confortable surtout le matelas du lit
Great food and facilities.
The location was great. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately the lift was not working and we were on the 4th floor! Had to pay £5 for the use of the pool and £10 for parking. Would be good to have bottled water and biscuits in the room. Standard for hotel rooms nowadays.
Paying for pool use. No bottled water or biscuits in room.
Breakfast and pool facilities excellent. Room was clean and checkin was easy.
Nothing
Very Clean. Spacious Room (Twin Room)
Noisy from the Pub Restaurant on ground floor. The guests staying returning to their rooms late at night were noisy. The doors & walls need better sound proof.
The newly decorated club rooms were gorgeous. The filtered water. The club biscuit was a great touch. Large tv to chrome cast my Netflix show was a winner. Plenty of milk. Believe it or not that’s a great touch. Not all hotels give excess milk. Super comfy bed.
The pillows were not my level of comfort. Not soft. But you can’t please everyone and that’s ok. PG tips tea is a no from me. I would pay a few ££ more a night if it meant we got Yorkshire tea lol.
I always like the restaurant. The on-site Starbucks. Easier parking this time too. Friendly staff.
Lift broken not good with three bags! Then get taken to staff lifts by restaurant employee and no lift available. He kindly took my bag up to 2nd floor. Very noisy this visit. Opposite stairs. Constantly banging doors. Put phone usb c into plug by bed. This humming noise. Spent 10 mins isolating the noise. Moved usb c plug to other side of bed. Room faced car park. Last visit it didn’t. The noisy cars revving. Motorbikes revving. Omg!! Place me in a room at the back next time or else I’m paying more to go somewhere else in future visits.
Great hotel
All good
Signs outside say you don’t need to pay for parking on weekends, and the same on booking.com, however we were made to pay on arrival. Also had to pay extra for use of the facilities such as the gym which was not made clear when booking. The rooms were the least sound proof rooms I have ever stayed in, I was woken up multiple times through the night from hearing other guests outside or in the hallways.
Staff inviting, room was clean and comfortable.
Lifts weren’t working , pool was a little bit too cold
Room was clean.
Lift not working. The Jim I don’t think should be integrated within the hotel. The bath tub was a little slippery.
Pool
Lift broken ! And wasn’t repaired while we were there.
Nothing special tbh pictures do more justice
Way to busy to many public on and out facilities was full most of the times with the hot tub being quite cold and the sauna. Steam room was good
Staff were friendly, food was great. The place was clean
The lift was not working and we were placed in 4th floor, with a wheelchair bound person. Every time you want to go upstairs it was a hustle getting to use service lift, which you could only have access via the reception. This was the worst experience ever. I requested on booking for a family room which is accessible but there was no bath tub in the room for my partner to have a proper wash. We ended up buying a bucket for him to use for a bed bath. I understand every hotel has this service but unfortunately to us it was not considered. The bed was to hight for him, of which it was a hustle to help him with all the transfers. I used booking.com to book and mentioned this to them on booking but it seems this was not considered.
The receptionist was lovely and gave us a discount for our breakfast since the lifts were not working.
The lifts were not working. The rooms were not cleaned for all the 4 nights we spent there. We had to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper. The breakfast was from 8am during the weekends which is rather unusual. I’m sure they were short staffed but this was the worst experience
The breakfast was excellent. Room very comfortable.
The hotel lift did not work.
The swimming pool, steam, and jacuzzi were amazing. The room was big and quiet with a nice view of nature and with access to all needs. English breakfast was delicious and rich with great service.
The lift wasn't working and I was on the third floor. The staff told me the fob for the swimming locker wasn't working The swimming pool needs to be warmer.
The breakfast and Staff
Bathroom wasn’t clean and the restaurant was sticky
Everything
Room lovely and good facilities. Bar area pleasant Staff very helpful.
Lift not working so had to use service lift. In morning needed to summon support from reception staff as my son is disabled and couldn’t use stairs to use lift. Very difficult to contact staff to support and was late for an appointment as a result. No disabled parking available, cars on disabled spaces did not have blue badge so had to park a way from entrance to property. Cars parked erratically on pavements so had to walk on road with disabled son which was dangerous and very difficult to keep safe particularly in the dark. In the bar area very noisy and some guests noisy in corridors past 11pm
Clean, modern hotel with everything you needed for a short stay Good location for Solihull
Would have been useful to have a card telling you how to use the coffee machine but it's a minor thing
Elevator not working
Reception was favourable, and staff werehelpful.
No lift and we were on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was poor - food had almost run out.
Close to town, clean, nice gym and bar area.
Nothing to say negatively.
Lifts not working and wa over a building site
Location and bar/bar staff were good. Room was comfy.
Lift not working. Staff at reception when checking in had a attitude "well if I must, I will help"...type attitude. Meh!
Adequate rooms
Too noisy and busy downstairs
Food was excellent and staff were extremely polite and helpful.
Room was noisy in the morning as this was directly over the gym.
Personnel aimable, chambre propre et literie de très bonne qualité !
Emplacement difficile à trouver même avec GPS
Cleanliness
Modern, clean and great for parents with children.
Food was a bit limited but we did order quite late.
Great hotel, large with clean, modern facilities. Really comfortable bed and nice shower. Good iron (for pressing clothes), good little coffee machine. Provision of pods, tea bags and coffee sachets and a packet of cookies is a nice treat. Fantastic gym facilities. Nice big bar area and on site coffee shop is a nice touch. Reasonable sized car parking area.
The PIR in the bathroom stayed on for an inordinate amount of time which is a pain when you’ve visited the bathroom during the night :( Mildly worrying Security aspect: large police presence while we were there but we weren’t made aware of what the issue was?

Very smart rooms with cosy beds, booked a family room and it has a great size. Great location. Shower was great and all mod cons, air con great with nice classy features. Really liked the shower gel and hand soap etc
Noisy slamming doors and corridors noisy at night, not easy with a little one. Had to use a QR code to ask for more loo roll and milk, put request in at 6.45am via qr code and nothing arrived, queried it via reception on way out later and staff wrote it down. Had loo roll on return but no milk. Room wasn't refreshed so had no milk for tea/coffee, requested again via qr code never arrived. All that technology and not a cuppa in sight. Not so easy to pop down again to ask with a sleepy youngster in tow. Also didn't know had to pay parking charges on arrival has to pay 2 days worth on my card, not ideal.
We have stayed in the room before, but now it has been upgraded the rooms are stunning! :) All the staff are lovely and so welcoming every time we come to stay! One staff member even helped us come set our smart TV to watch movies Every time we ask any questions they are always happy to help us with a smile on their face :)
Just the distance, if we had to travel out for food places there is a distance but that's it!
Gym and pool
Breakfast quality could be better including coffee. Offer of fresh poached eggs would be good.
Pleasant room. Everything worked, which was nice! For a single night it was fine!
Car park looked chaotic at times. Luckily we arrived at a decent time.
war mir vorher bekannt
das Bett war etwas schmal
The location staff
There was nothing not to like
Facilities, including swimming pool and the bar and food
Nothing
Good facilities.
Paying for parking and paying to use the health club.
Clean fresh and lovely staff
Self check in and out just takes the humanity out of hospitality
Everything was clean and crisp
Nothing
Comfortable room and nice shower.
Only one lift
The hotel was fantastic. The facilities are fab the room itself was excellent and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bar and grill food was delicious. Would definitely stay again.
Lift too small Long waits Car park charge
Property fine but AC very low in cooling & bed was so high so uncomfortable felt due to high bed
Bed was very high
Lovely room, very comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. The service and food in the bar was very good.
It was very busy in the bar and reception area but no noise once in our room.
Room size
Too minimalistic it terms of items in the room. No laundry bags No slippers The towel were clean but funny smell
Beautiful clean tidy hotel, very impressed.

Clean, friendly staff, comfy bed, Starbucks
Breakfast wasn’t great
Really great hotel. Lovely food. Comfy bed. Lovely staff
The lift is too small need more as we waited ages and it’s tiny
Great location for airport, reasonable prices.
Lovely modern room either coffee machine
Nothing
TV don't have netflix
The hotel was perfect for our one night stay! We had a wedding in town and the hotel close to airport and ameneties. Staff were very helpful and rooms so clean and looks so new. Loved it. Will definitely go back went we visit birmingham again
It was perfect
Breakie was good
No room cleaning and fresh towels when this was advised at reception and when reported next day was told that the cleaner had said she had ...room was not cleaned
Lovely polite friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Amazing room, really comfortable and stylish
That there were no quorn or Linda McCartney sausages for breakfast. Peas and carrots don’t belong in sausages lol
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and really accommodating too, super clean and easy to get around- parking was fine too and easy to navigate around
nice & clean car park space available
they didn't mention online that they will charge 10£ for parking
The hotel was clean, had lots of facilities, the breakfast was good.
The Television in room 341 was junk. It switched on ok, tried to change channels and either it said failed to start channel or crashed and went to a program that no one wants and the remote wouldn't do anything except switch it off. In the end I gave up and went to sleep. Everything else was perfect!
Room was clean, bed was comfy.
Perfect location, the bar/ restaurant and the facilities were good
Our shower didn’t have hot water, the air on didn’t work. We paid the same as other wedding guests yet our room was not to their standard
Close to the airport
Aircon in room was broken during heat wave, we were provided a fan but it didn’t help. Couldn’t open the windows for air, due to scaffolding blocking the window. View was of scaffolding and building site. Some lights in the room didn’t work, so the room was very dull and dark. One switch in the room did not work as it didn’t turn anything on. Tv remote on and off button didn’t work, the tv was unplugged from behind it due to this, when we checked in. Bathroom handle had orange/yellow something dried on it. Hotel lobby had a leak so there was buckets in it.
When i reserved the price shot up. I ended up paying much more than planned. Reservation stated car parking but when i arrived at the hotel they charged me for parking stated it wasn't included. Also i couldn't see out the window it was obscured by huge unsightly equipment on roof.. an eyesore .....not what you expected to see out the windows. I should of asked to be moved
The property wasn’t too far a drive from the airport and the staff were mostly friendly. Not sure I can say anything else positive. The hotel is pretty terrible.
The hotel is covered in scaffolding which looked terrible considering we were there for a wedding. The grounds outside were really dirty, cigarette butts everywhere. Full of gym people and definitely not suitable for a wedding.
Very friendly staff
Lots of birds muck on room windows
Rooms are lovely, they’ve gone the extra mile with the referb
Breakfast finishes by 9, didn’t realise so we missed breakfast
All staff pleasant and helpful and the food we had was lovely, would definitely recommend 😊
Nothing to not like
Neat and tidy,easy access
Having to pay to park in hotel very disappointing
Good facilities
Check in was slow
All good very comfortable great facilities

Modern and comfortable . Helpful staff
Closeness to our venue.
The fact that there wasn’t a response to the message sent originally to contact with the hotel to ensure we had two separate rooms. An extra £180 spent on an extra room. A charge for parking. No properly working Air conditioning when we are in a heatwave making the room to warm to sleep within. Coffee spill left in Elevator without staff wanting to clean it up after a visitor reported it delaying the use of the elevator for a good ten minutes.
Great hotel
Lovely staff great food and drink
Nothing
Fantastic stay at The Village Hotel, rooms were so clean, bed was VERY comfy like sleeping on a cloud & very handy for a conference I was attending. Breakfast was tasty & overall very good facilities/friendly & helpful staff.
That I had to go home 😂🙌🏼
I was given a room with water dripping from aircon had smell to it
Loved the room and the bed. The man behind the bar was super helpful.
The eggs. They're rarely good at a buffet breakfast. I should have ordered poached.
Friendly staff- facilities were great- coffee in room was excellent
Nothing-
The rooms were comfortable and clean.
The restaurant had booked out every table to non guests who were coming in to watch football, no thought or allowance was given to guests staying at the hotel who wanted to dine in the restaurant and when I checked in they allowed me to choose a food package. A poor nights sleep also when the football fans celebrated England goals the noise at 2:30am woke me and I was on the second floor, this continued until 4:30am when the fans were leaving and cheering the victory. I’m no kill joy but I feel the Village needs to decide if it’s a sports bar or a hotel during major events as the two together don’t work for hotel guests or they could keep cashing in at the guests experience and expense.
Nice location Checking was a nightmare all automated and had issues staff only staff member on just kept us waiting
Check in needs sorting Pool was too busy couldn’t get in sauna or steam room
Location
Bar staff very helpful, receptionist very rude
The room & pool sauna steam
Very busy, a lot of people using the facilities it looks more like a shopping mall when you enter, it doesn’t have that cozy feel
Clean and modern
In the extension part I Come here once a week, if your on one side phone signal ain’t the best and tv connection is awful, timed out poor signal
Room size was fine, iron in room and plenty of hangers Shower was good with perfect pressure and showergel/shampoo available Breakfast was OK not much choice on eggs but good quality produce for everything else
Only issue is building work out the front which some people might be a little put off by. Privacy could be an issue with scaffolding but the curtains close fully
Lovely area, Nice rooms
No aircon
The room is big especially family room. The beds were comfortable and amenities were readily available. The swimming pool and gym access was efficient for hotel customers.
- The gym and swimming pool was accessible to external people which made it a little bit less private and maybe crowded - No locker in the room, so had to carry valuables with me all the time whenever we went out - building works noise, but not much of a nuisance for me
I gpt a lot of help from recption due to my luggage being undelivrered and i was very stressed staff helped me.
N/A
Only issue I have is I wish there were more radio stations available on the tv
Recently renovated rooms were fresh but incredibly plain.
The bar/restaurant can only be likened to trying to eat at Wacky Warehouse.

Location
8.2/10Multiple mentions of a great location for the airport and nearby amenities; convenient for short stays and events.

6.8/10Rooms described as comfortable, stylish and well-equipped (coffee machines), but some guests note minimalistic supplies (no slippers, no laundry bags) and occasional maintenance faults (broken TV, one report of no hot water).
Amenities
7/10Good range of amenities reported (bar, pool, on-site Starbucks, breakfast) but issues mentioned with busy bar/reception, small lift, gym-heavy atmosphere, and building work affecting appearance.
Value for Money
