Room was smaller than i expected. Mattress was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Had views across the main road and didnt hear any traffic noise. The curtains provide a complete blackout. walking distance to town centre

The occupants in the room next door were arguing and you could hear everything. Eventually hotel management were called in to calm things down. I ordered a double burger in the restaurant and requested not to have the bacon and they served it with bacon!! This was replaced by another burger, i only had a couple of bites, was put off by the first burger and lost my appetite at this stage despite the longer wait. Management compensated 50% of the food bill

I had requested a ground floor room AND had confirmation that one would be allocated We were put up in a second floor room, down a small flight of steps and along to the end of the corridor This does not help someone with mobility and pain problems and I am not impressed at all When the room is serviced, it would be nice to come back to find the cartons of milk and beverages refreshed after we had drinks, equally loo roll. Neither happened

The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. We had a room close to the lift which was quite noisy, we mentioned this to the young lady at reception and at once she apologised and moved us into another room a few doors up in a corner which was much better, also the young man on reception was also very friendly and communicated with us.

No toilet roll in room. When asked reception the guy said it’s not my job to refill. When attempting to take from the cleaners tray, she shouted and said don’t touch.

Location is great, breakfast buffet with gluten free options was good, room comfortable, bed comfortable but not very large on the standard room (std double), everything was very clean.

Staff seem totally disengaged. Definitely more training required around service & attitude. Restaurant doesn’t open until 7pm so for people with elderly parents this was a hassle. Bar has burgers & pizzas but if that’s not your thing you will need to head out. On a 2N stay room wasn’t serviced on second day. No top up of tea/milk etc. Room phones didn’t work & reception staff didn’t seem to care.

Bed, could have been more comfortable, ok for one night, but not three. The shower floor was peeling and needed to be replaced. Housekeeping was hit and miss, had to request basic items be replaced, eg loo rolls, tea bags, milk. Spa was too hot over all and changing rooms need upgrading.

Good location in Solihull, central but quieter than staying closer to touchwood. Room was clean and staff were friendly.

An intruder entered our room at 11:30pm on Saturday night. The way the family room was laid out meant the adult bed was not in sight of the door, and the kids were right in front of the door. We didn’t see who it was and complained. We were assured it couldn’t have been another guest but it still didn’t fill us with confidence that it was just a mistake. We were spooked by this especially as the kids were close to the door and didn’t rest much afterwards. We complained at the time it happened and on check out, we were told an investigation would occur and we’d get a call from a manager the following day. No call which solidifies how seriously they took this. My tip would be to always put the catch on the door when you are in the room, if going out then make sure no valuables are left in the room.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a three-minute walk from a lovely shopping centre with a great variety of shops, restaurants, and everything you might need during your stay. The hotel itself is well maintained, with modern décor and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it a pleasant place to stay.

The hallways leading to the rooms were quite narrow, which made it difficult to navigate with a pushchair. There were also a few small steps leading into the room, which was inconvenient for a family with young children. Installing a ramp instead of steps would make access much easier for guests using pushchairs or those with mobility needs. The room also did not have a fridge, which was inconvenient as we needed somewhere to keep our child’s milk cold. Overall, the hotel was well maintained, but I did notice that the floor in the rear bar area could have been cleaner. As my young son was walking around, I paid close attention to the floor and noticed small pieces of glass and food debris that had not been swept up. Keeping this area cleaner would make it much safer, particularly for families with young children.

The exterior of the building was a little dated. The swimming pool is a bonus but could do with a cosmetic uplift.

Very attractive building, smart reception and entrance. Parking right outside. The room was a home from home, very cosy and relaxing.

They charge £10 extra for parking, why not just put that into the room rate or tell you in advance?! The reception representative was very dismissive and unhelpful, almost like she didn’t enjoy her job. No warm welcome after a very long drive and reluctant to answer questions or converse. My room 300+ was such a long way from reception and there was no offer of help with my luggage. It was so far and everything just looks like a mirror image, I got lost to the room and back. The food was awful, great service and ordered to the room which was a bonus but the pizza bread was just all greasy and cardboard like, the chips full of salt and fat. The full English breakfast inedible, just not pleasant at all so left very hungry.

It was busy, but most of the times everything went well.

I was told my points and my stays on IGH Hotels membership by reception wouldn't count or be addded as I booked through booking.com which has been happening and I thought that wasn't fair and i wasn't told before hand and I would of thought this wouldn't be an issue as the saving tp guest and I feel this isn't fair for member of booking.com and Igh to be punish the person booking and also not to advertise it anywhere before booking stay on anywhere on the site. Please address this as it loses the good you do. I was even told when ring direct that it would be cheaper for me to book it by booking.com or by direct but I wasn't told I wouldn't be receiving my stay or points to my membership by doing so.😥

An unexpected find. We will use again when travelling and staying in the area

Nothing changed since my last visit. No mini bar in the room, and they say that it's because the are a sustainable brand. Most other VOCO hotels have mini bars. The super king was two twins pushed together which is fine however the topper should be much better quality so I cannot feel the join during the night. Breakfast was average, hard croissants which were not tempting.

The location is good great walking distance into the shops. The beds are comfortable and very importantly the pillows too. Staff were kind and professional. Nice to have a pool sauna and steam room although dated.

The lack of knowledge. We was directed to the garden by front desk only to be stopped because it’s not open as works are being carried out. Not sure why front desk did not know this. We also booked a room with an extra large bed its states when booking it is larger than a double bed which they are not. We went yo front desk to enquire if we had been put in the wrong room. They said this is an issue with booking.com and has been raised several times. I did say it is falsely advertised and we booked that larger room for the larger bed. The lady was very polite and apologised. It wasn’t her fault but we didn’t get the room we booked. The first room we was in didn’t have a working fan in the bathroom so the mould gathering around the fan and other areas made sense after noticing it. Not the cleanest of places. Could really do with a revamp to match other IHG hotels standards. The staff are clearly trying to do the best with what they have. The room was very hot during the night (air con not working) and they did change rooms for us which was perfectly cold. Shout out to the man who moved us rooms too he was very polite and professional too. The swimming pool / spa area is dated and unfortunately when we went in we was advised a swimming lesson was due to happen which was full of small children in a small pool. Not ideal when wanting to relax. (Again not advised anywhere on booking.com) Breakfast… ermm well what can I say the orange juice was very nice. The rest was very very below par. Such a shame, even the pastries weren’t soft. So so many lovely breakfast spots in Solihull centre 5 minutes walk away.

Very disappointing visit , our AC didn’t work for 2 nights and we couldn’t get anyone to fix ( apparently no joy on Sundays as know one knows what to do) Floors were not cleaned , we had same bits on carpet daily, it appeared all that happens if your staying more than one night ( we were 4) is you just get clean towels and that’s it nothing else moved, hoovered cleaned etc . considering prices would have expected better. We paid to upgrade to a superior room , we shouldn’t have bothered as no walk in shower as expected and noise from bar ( we were over ) every night as people spilled out at night.

Die Lage zur Innenstadt in Solihull war perfekt - zu Fuß in weniger als 10 Minuten. Auch die Lage zum Tudor Grange Park, in dem ein Musikfestival stattfand, war in ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Roomservice hat jeden Tag das Zimmer gereinigt und die Handtücher ausgewechselt. Zudem gab es kleine Dosen mit Wasser (mit oder ohne Kohlensäure). Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, war sehr gut ausgestattet (u.a. Klimaanlage, Bügelvorrichtung), hatte eine ruhige Lage und ein sehr bequemes Bett. Das Personal war insgesamt sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei einem erneuten Aufenthalt in Solihull würde ich dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

Mostly a good experience with staff, food and value for money being of a high level.

Air conditioning was not controllable from the room and was on a 2 hour timer which meant that we had to get up every 2 hours to reset it. We were informed on departure when we queried this that we had to contact reception so that they could override the system. Guests should be informed of this on arrival in particular on hot and humid days.!

It was very central we attended the Solihull festival so was a 10 min walk and there was lots of parking , the hotel was spotless , bed was the comfiest ever , iron, ironing board and hairdryer which was a bonus . The breakfast was on another level , buffet style but covered , everything you could ever want and if it weren’t there you asked and got it made. All the staff were amazing from reception, waiters and cleaners , I have no negatives at all about this place just perfect 5⭐️

The hotel is a great place to stay rooms and facilities are great and bed was very comfortable Exellent location for Solihull Town centre..

My wife and I found the staff not very helpful and quite offish with us communication was not very good at all.The next morning we woke up and thought because the hotel room was so nice and bed so comfortable we would try to book a room for next year only this would have been for 3 nights only to be told quite sharply we couldn't book that far in advance we've never had that problem with any other hotels before shame as your hotel would have been our first choice.

Perfect hotel in centre of Solihull. Very convenient for us for Summer Fest Festival, took us about 13 minutes walk to get there. Car park outside the hotel, easy to find a spot as plenty of spaces. Staff very nice and helpful, bar was open long due to World Cup games and staff was serving us without any complaining. Room quite big and plenty of space for all the luggage, Air conditioning in the room was a blessing. Also iron and ironing board, hair dryer, safe in the room to leave your valuables. Really good nigh sleep.

Some waiting staff don't know the menu. Hotel management have no system for managing car parking, to the point of instructing staff to turn away cars of patrons who've already paid and parked there. Not acceptable.

Upon arrival, the member of staff who greeted me was very kind and welcoming. We had a nice chat and she got me checked in quickly. The location of the hotel is great. You get free water in the hotel room which is also good.

All staff in the morning were miserable. I get that mornings aren't great but would recommend the staff consider other jobs if they do not want to do customer service. The person checking me out could not get rid of me quicker and did not care to ask how my stay was. Parking you have to pay for which might not initially be clear. Bathroom was a bit unclean and water leaked out the shower.

Staff are amazing from reception through to the spa & the restaurant The beds are so comfortable it’s unbelievable, it’s one of the few places away from home I can sleep. Very happy with my stay, I have stayed several times and will continue coming back. The only thing I would say is that the disabled changing room / shower in the pool area needs a reallly good scrub, the first thing I have ever found to be a problem there. Apart from that 10/10 for everything else

It’s a convenient location for where I was going. Rooms are very comfortable.

The staff are very standoffish. We asked for a glass of a particular wine to be told that there wasn’t a bottle open and we would have to buy the full bottle. An hour later we got the glass of wine we wanted and no mention about having to buy the bottle.

We really liked the location of the hotel, however, the bathroom was quite small in the sense of placing toiletries etc. Shower pressure was amazing though! The person who checked us in and out was lovely

Jada at the restaurant and bar, was amazing. She was Very helpful, very attentive to our needs, very sociable and excellent at her role. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options, we also could order additional items that were not set out in the buffet with lots of options.

When we first arrived, the staff were using the main available lift a lot which meant I had to stand and wait a while, which is a bit tricky when pregnant. Also, We wouldn't recommend getting breakfast and dinner in one deal as dinner was one fixed menu which didnt have much variety. So if you stayed more than 2nights you'd only be provided the same dinner menu again and again. At the end we couldn't even enjoy the starters and had to request bread and butter, which they were thankfully able to provide, but overall our dinners were not the best.

An urban location but fortunately none too noisy (either from road traffic or passing drunks). Not our kind of preferred architecture as it's much too modern....porcelain and glass. We didn't like paying a tenner for a day's hotel parking, but can understand why the hotel makes this charge: proximity to Birmingham airport. It's perfectly possible guests checked in for a night and then left their car at the hotel for two weeks. The room was fairly comfortable, although the kettle didn't work. This was replaced promptly within 10 minutes. A satisfactory breakfast, nothing outstanding but by no means bad. Horse for courses, and we'd prefer a much older hotel with more character, and out in the countryside.

Air conditioning not working for 2 of our 4 nights stay. Know one on site on the Sunday to remedy the issue. Room was oppressive with heat. We didn’t sleep well for 2 nights. No fridges in rooms , weather was hot and drinks went lukewarm as unable to keep cool. Considering prices and hotel description it’s unbelievable they don’t have fridges in all rooms.

When asked for glasses to be brought to the room, empty champagne flutes I was informed that there would be £5 tray change!! Very unnecessary, I had all my bags etc so it would have been nice to not have to pay £5 for someone to just bring empty glasses to our room. Plus £10 parking when staying over is quite unfair too.

have stayed here 10+ times now, and this time felt compelled to write a review due to amazing friendly service by travis on the bar. He’s by far the best member of staff and a credit to the hotel. the rooms are modern, tastefully decorated and, thankfully given the current weather, have great air con. gym is good and pool etc are lovely. a brilliant quiet classy location just a few minutes walk from vibrant solihull town centre. natasha x
