I love this hotel. I visit family a couple of times a year. I always stay here and wouldn’t even consider anything else. It’s stylish, comfortable and I think good value. I asked for a specific room and they gave me one close by. I asked for a fan and was given one. The bed is so comfortable and the bathroom very modern. It’s pretty much perfect for my needs. And I like that they’re planet friendly.

There’s not much around it so you need a car. There’s a petrol station shop opposite but nowhere else to buy anything from. I don’t drive but I’m visiting family so it’s not an issue for me. But may be, if you’re expecting it to be in a town centre.

The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The fridge worked well to keep things cold. We loved the indoor pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi and even the gym. It's great value if you use all the facilities.

The food in the restaurant food wasn't great. My daughter suffered food poisoning during this stay.

The twin beds we'd requested was a king sized. Not hotels fault, we'd booked with Vio. First night was great but 2nd night we were in ground floor which was very noisy. The doors are a particular issue with this hotel as you have to bang them to close them.

I’ve stayed at the voco several times over the past 18 months, and it has firmly established itself as one of my favourite hotels in the UK. Every single visit has been consistently excellent. From the moment I arrive, the staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and that level of hospitality makes such a difference when you’re regularly staying away from home. Perhaps the biggest compliment I can give is that on a recent business trip, my employer booked me into a nearby competitor hotel. I was so disappointed with the experience that I chose to book myself into the voco instead, at my own expense. That probably says more than anything else about how highly I rate this hotel! There’s something reassuring about arriving somewhere you know you’ll be well looked after, and the voco delivers that time after time. It’s always a genuine pleasure to stay here, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. A very well-deserved five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Easy to find on a spacious site close to a main road. Open plan linked by outside private seating areas; lovely. Access to leisure facilities a bonus!

Air con in public spaces was a bit over the top but can understand why in the unusual outside heat

The bed and the shower were probably the best we have experienced. Great hotel, friendly staff and a lovely well equipped room. Great location too for a pre cruise stay being just 30 mins to the port.

It was busy at breakfast and if people were seated rather than left to find their own seat it would have made better use of the available tables. Food wise, spot on.

Friendly staff, excellent spacious room. Facilities for wheelchair users and great to have wheel-in shower which does not flood. Very good 'Brickworks' restaurant. Rather pricey but the food was excelllent.

Restaurant service rather slow, not enough staff. Hotel difficult to find, signposting from the main road would help. Also confused with other hotels nearby with very similar names.

A perfect stay ! Beautifully decorated and clean rooms. Fantastic restaurant for both evening meal and breakfast.

Baby friendly, excellent service, everyone was kind and welcoming. Helpful. Clean! And no issues.

The food restaurant was not excellent- pancakes didnt taste fresh. The squid was warm not piping hot. And it didnt seem high standards.

It's the staff who are willing to go above and beyond to rectify an issue. They care greatly about how customers are treated and want to go above and beyond to make you feel good. We also got a free upgrade after realising the room we booked would be too small for our children and us.

One new staff member at the restaurant wasn't great but like I said, the rest of the staff were mortified by his actions and went above and beyond to sort it....far more than we imagined.

Breakfast was a little chaotic and the staff were a little to eager to clear the tables. on more that on ocasion I went up to get a drink or somthing else and cam back to my table cleared even thought I handn't finishe eating / drinking what was on the table.

I couldnt have an access room. So I really struggled to sit and on the toilet as it was really low for me with a severe knee joint pain. We ordered food for dinner and it took more than 1 hr before the food was ready. We had travelled a long way and were really hungry.

One very small point no cups available at breakfast on the Saturday it was quite early into service so quite surprising paper cup offered not really addressing the issue, did not spoil the stay.

Great staff. (Special mention to Siobhan from recieption). Really knowledgeable and helpful. Real quality and luxurious pillows. Really comfortable bed Great breakfast with one exception.

No lifts. Bacon was raw, or very, very slightly cooked.

The room was lovely as was the pool and dining area and outside terrace.

Not having been told in advance that the pool had restricted children’s hours and it was quite cold in the dining area due to the aircon being high - it was more pleasant outside!

Could have provided a robe in room to enter spar. Could have a scanning entry system using key to enter breakfast area. Had to wait in a long queue to be seated. Cutlery should be self service. Waited while seated for cutlery to be issued. Went to hot food area and all food had run out. Kitchen seemed under staffed, replenishing was slow. Toasters weren’t working. Butter in a slab rather than refrigerated single portions. £25 for the food was too much. Unable to communicate directly with reception ref my booking. Kept getting international answering service who couldn’t help me. Forced to email.

Beautiful hotel, well appointed. Breakfast and evening meal lovely. The staff went above and beyond. They actually make this hotel the wonderful experience that it is. Spa facilities perfect.

Although the food was lovely. We waited half an hour for the main course to arrive. At breakfast I requested porridge, which they make in the kitchen. After fifteen minutes it hadn't arrived so I enquired about it. It was brought out from the kitchen immediately. Cold!! Never mind, you can't win them all.

Loved the interior and exterior design, by far one of the more beautiful places we've stayed! Got a free drink while we waited for our room to be ready which was so nice! The staff were all so smiley and extremely helpful. The shower in the room was amazing. Will definitely stay next time we're down!

The pillows were the only fall back, I didnt have the most comfortable night but everyone is different and it may just be a me thing!

Breakfast chef should be highly commended. Though it’s the same offering as other IHG hotels, the freshly-cooked food tasted better and it was clear that he took pride and care in his work. Great eggs and hash browns. Also, decent bedroom air con that was very welcome in the hot weather.

Hotel was exceptionally clean and modern, all staff we met were also very friendly and professional. Spa facilities were brilliant and again very clean. Food also very good, we had breakfast included and had dinner one evening and both were very good.

The only negatives are the location but the quality of the hotel makes up for this. The sauna could be hotter.

The customer service is exceptional, Siobhan was on reception when we checked in, she was very friendly and went out of her way to help, the model of good customer service. The cleaners too were so friendly, no trouble when we asked for help. The pool facilities are good, loved the sauna and hot tub. We had food at rhe restaurant and this was delicious, the waiting staff were very attentive. Very comfy bed and good air conditioning, slept very well.

As soon as we walked in, the hotel receptionist was so welcoming, David, and he made check-in so quick and easy. The room was very spacious and clean too and we made good use of the pool, steam and sauna too.

Breakfast was a bit underwhelming as lots of the choices looked a little sparse but what they had was nice! Lack of glasses, food not being restocked and no coffee was a real killer

Very modern! Great reception team, hotel was only ten minutes away from home so a great location for us to unwind & take some rest bite. Excellent facilities for unwinding & loved the adult only pool access.

Bar & restaurant staff need more training, no fault of their own. Dirty tables being cleaned after being seated. Dirty bar glasses. Finding objects left behind in our room from previous stays. Food & drinks overly expensive for what we actually received & took a long time to order & an eternity to get to our table. The service lets the hotel down.

I came here for my gcse exam and I received a good luck from the staff which made me very grateful. The staff granted me and my dad a late checkout so I could get to my exam on time. The food was really nice and I really enjoyed the mocktails served there. The pool looked really nice but I didn’t have time to have a swim because I was revising

Heating not working in room. Apparently switched to summer mode now. It was 14 degrees outside and we were wet and cold so were looking forward to a warm hotel room. Staff very helpful and brought us an electric heater which did the job.

What a wonderful stay we had. The staff were friendly. Easy check in. Lovely goodies in the room for our stay which was a lovely touch. The Brickworks restaurant was wonderful the food was outstanding and the front of house were really lovely. Would definitely come back and stay again
