Location 5 minutes walk to Carcassonne Cité, excellent staff, nice reception and bar area, quiet attractive garden to have a drink, very good inexpensive restaurant.

The staff struggled to keep up with demand for breakfast items and the buffet area was really too small for the number of hotel guests.

Présence d’un jardin bien entretenu et d’une piscine propre. Un restaurant avec une salle agréable. Une chambre grande, joliment décorée.

Le bâtiment est laid est sans intérêt. Il devrait être amélioré. Les couloirs sont très longs et encombrés du matériel de ménage.Les chambres qui donnent sur l’arrière ont une vue sur un espace non entretenu. Pour ces raisons, l’ensemble est loin d’être qualitatif. La nourriture est médiocre et le petit déjeuner est gâché par de l’eau servie en Thermos qui a très mauvais goût et est tiède. Renseignements pris c’est de l’eau du robinet, chauffée, stockée dans des réservoirs par l’équipe de nuit, dont l’équipe du matin se sert pour remplir les Thermos.

The location was very good, easy walking distance to the medieval city. Friendly staff, free parking. Modern & clean bedroom.

Los horarios de desayuno y comida son muy reducidos y no se coordinan con el servicio de limpieza: si a las 14:00 horas ya se ha acabado el servicio de comida, la habitación debiera estar ya hecha.

Ottima posizione vicino al castello. Ambiente simpatico. Giardino con piscina. La cucina è buona.

La sala di colazione è troppo piccola per così tanta gente. Il personale è gentile ma troppo stressato magari una domanda di una buona organizzazione? La struttura in sè non è facile a mantenere in uno stato impeccabile.

Location was fab and the room was very comfortable with thoughtful touches. The travel cot provided for our baby was also great.

On the day we couldn’t park in the main hotel car park so had to park a bit further down the road and clear instructions weren’t provided so that was a little stressful however they did their best to make sure we got there in the end.

The location, which is less than 10 minutes walk from the fortified city, is perfect as is the free parking. The room was comfortable but small with a large comfy bed. It also had a kettle which was great. The bathroom was a good size with a great shower. Always appreciate a magnifying mirror too. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Breakfast was average, nothing exceptional but they did have GF bread & cakes on request.

Breakfast was average but the buffet area was in a corner & became crowded & difficult to navigate when it was busy.

The staff were very attentive, friendly and proactive, even though some team members were still being trained when we checked in. They made a genuine effort to help and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was very good, with a great variety of fresh fruit, breads and toppings, French-style sausages, bacon, ham, French cheeses, pastries and Nespresso coffee. Free parking for hotel guests was another big plus. There is also a free public parking area just a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel, with easy access, which is a useful alternative if the hotel car park is full. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and very convenient for visiting Carcassonne.

We had informed the hotel that we expected to arrive before the official check-in time. In the end, we were delayed on the road and arrived quite close to check-in time, but our room still wasn’t ready and we had to wait until around 4 pm to access it. The biggest disappointment was the room-service dinner. The food came from the hotel’s restaurant, but unfortunately the quality and overall experience didn’t match the price we paid. It felt poor value for money, and if we stayed again, we would definitely choose to have dinner elsewhere.

Le personnel gentil ,ainsi que le personnels de chambre. La piscine propre et grande. L accès parking pour aller visiter la ville de Carcassonne qui n ai pas très loin. Le petit déjeuner très bon et bien ravitailler.

Tout était bien mais je dirais quand on a manger au restaurant le soir ,je trouvais les plat pas très bien présenté se qui n empêche pas que c était bon, mais la salade avec beaucoup d ingrédients que j ai choisi a 17 € était en fouillis et pas très avenante ( effort a faire pour la présentation). Merci

The location is ideal, there is more than ample safe, secure parking, it's super dog friendly, the staff were welcoming, and the gardens are beautiful.

The waitress for dinner was less than helpful regarding my coeliac (gluten-free) issues. She 'forgot' to ask the chef what I could eat, brought food that 'looked like it didn't have gluten in' and asked 'how bad would it be if I had a bit?'. And she forgot my husband's bread, and his beer... She was very nice, spoke super English, but was a little on another planet. The food, in the end, was delicious. Didn't like the tiny window in the bedroom.

La ubicación , el personal amable y la limpieza del lugar.

Mucha gente, es agosto, y eso hace que el desayuno sea un poco caos y la piscina más de lo mismo. Resulta pequeña con tantos clientes.

La posizione ottima per la visita al Castello ( 5 minuti a piedi ) e la possibilità di usufruire della piscina e del parcheggio interno gratuito.

La chambre était propre et fonctionnelle. Le petit déjeuner offre un large choix, et le personnel à la réception + room service ont été très sympathiques. La localisation à deux pas de la cité de Carcassonne est idéale.

Nous avons trouvé que certains équipements ne sont pas adaptés au nombre de personnes pouvant occuper l'hôtel : le buffet du petit déjeuner peut vite sembler trop petit pour accueillir tous les occupants de l'hôtel. De même pour la piscine : une dizaine de transats seulement (vs une capacité de 80 personnes dans l'hôtel). Les douches obligatoires avant d'accéder au bassin fuient lorsqu'on les utilise : le jet d'eau atteint la zone dans laquelle sont installés les transats (et donc les vacanciers)... L'éclairage dans la chambre est tres limité. Les stores ne sont pas occultant à 100%. L'isolation est également à revoir : depuis la chambre, nous entendons tout ce qu'il se passe dans le couloir. L'une des personnes s'occupant du buffet du petit déjeuner n'était pas très aimable avec les clients, et nous avons aussi assisté à ses réprimandes des autres membres du personnel (devant les clients, cela est encore moins correct). La qualité des services est à revoir, nous n'avons malheureusement pas eu la sensation d'être dans un établissement quatre étoiles...

Buffet au top mais l organisation demande à être revue , trop exiguë, donc peu accessible , machine à café HS deux matins de suite ...

Het hotel ligt op nauwelijks 200 meter van de Middeleeuwse stad (tip: overdag is het er erg druk, bezoek het 's avonds laat). Het zwembad was een welgekomen verfrissing bij de tropische temperaturen. Aangenaam personeel en een prima ontbijt. Wij waren zeer tevreden.

L’emplacement pour les vélos est petit (4 places seulement au niveau des racks à vélo) et non couvert et pas très sécurisé. Nous n’avons pas eu de problème car nous étions les seuls vélos (famille de 4).

The location of the Mercure Carcassonne is excellent. The historic fortress of Carcassonne is very close by and easily accessible on foot. This makes the hotel an ideal base for exploring the impressive old town and its sights. The surrounding area is also pleasant, making it a very convenient place to stay when visiting Carcassonne.

Unfortunately, the check-out experience completely overshadowed what had otherwise been a very pleasant two-day stay at the hotel. At the front desk, I was speaking with another member of staff when Pauline interrupted the conversation, provided information that was simply incorrect, repeatedly cut me off, and addressed me in an unnecessarily abrupt and dismissive manner. I observed a similar interaction with a Chinese guest who was equally surprised that nobody had informed him about the city tax upon arrival. Instead of calmly explaining the situation, Pauline responded to him in much the same curt and unfriendly manner. Incidentally, I had not been informed about the city tax at check-in either, so this also came as a surprise to me at departure. Working at a busy hotel reception can undoubtedly be stressful, but dealing with guests professionally and respectfully is an essential part of the job. If someone is unable to handle that pressure without becoming rude or confrontational, a customer-facing role in hospitality may simply not be the right position for them. This was particularly disappointing because the hotel itself, its location, and the rest of our stay had left a very positive impression. Unfortunately, just a few words and a few minutes at the front desk were enough to undo much of the goodwill built up over the previous two days.

Dommage qu'on ne voie en fait pas la citadelle depuis la piscine qui est assez petite. Mais ce qui m'a le plus déçue, c'est que je suis allée à la réception sachant que j'y avais oublié 2 gourdes. Le staff m'a dit que les objets trouvés étaient maintenant gérés par une app, mais qu'il n'y avait pas de gourdes actuellement. Dans la journée après mon départ, j'ai reçu une notification comme quoi elles avaient bien été retrouvées et qu'il fallait que je paye 25€ pour qu'ils me les renvoient ... J'aurais donc apprécié que la personne à qui je me suis adressée regarde avec ses yeux plutôt qu'au travers de son ordinateur!

The hotel was a great location for visiting the medieval city and it was easy to find and park which was a bonus. We loved the pool to cool off in.

It was hot and the AC in the rooms was not good enough. Also the lighting in the room and bath room was terrible and the bedside tables were so small you could hardly fit anything on them.

Bel hôtel avec un beau jardin et belle piscine à 5 min à pied des ramparts. Personnel accueillant et chambre très propre et calme. Bon petit-déjeuner et nous avons très bien mangé au restaurant.

Le store dans la chambre laisse passer de la lumière même fermé, un rideau occultant serait un plus.

Planche commandée pour l'apéritif. Après 20mn d'attente, on nous a dit qu'il y avait des problèmes en cuisine, que ce serait encore long.... on a dû annuler. Manque de chaises ou transat au bord de la piscine. Parasol abîmé.

L'ensemble du personnel, y compris la direction, se montre particulièrement attentionné, contribuant ainsi à rendre votre séjour des plus agréables. La piscine est très attrayante. Un parking sécurisé est à votre disposition. L'établissement est situé à seulement deux minutes à pied du centre-ville.

La chambre 42 s'est avérée bruyante en raison de sa proximité avec l'accès à la piscine, les autres clients n'ayant malheureusement pas respecté le bien-être de chacun. Il est à noter que malgré cette nuisance sonore, les collaborateurs ont eu l'amabilité de nous proposer un changement de chambre.

Arrivée à 14h possible, chambre prête qu’à 15h Gel douche vide dans douche. Personnel agréable (sauf la responsable a priori qui ne dit pas bonjour). Petit déjeuner copieux et piscine agréable (même si là encore un rafraîchissement de la rampe semble nécessaire).
