Great hotel with plenty of free parking overlooking the river and close to shopping Mall and downtown stores/restaurants. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. We were on the 4th floor overlooking the river and walking trail. Room was large with two windows, two beds, Nespresso coffee maker, refrigerator and large TV. Bathroom was very clean, towels fluffy with cosmetics and a hair dryer. Shower was hot with good pressure over the tub. Included breakfast was superb and Included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and home fries. Yogurt, cereals, fruit and a pancake maker were also available. Service was warm and inviting.

High sides of bathtub, no safety mat or grab handles made it difficult and dangerous for limited mobility people to shower safely

I like everything about it

This is a beautiful hotel. The room was spacious and very clean. It was quiet! We had an amazing view of the tidal bore. Also, the back patio was right on the river, great for a coffee or a drink There was a small boardwalk attached so a short stroll took us right to our restaurant on the Main Street. The hotel had the right balance of history and modern convenience. For us, it was a good choice.

I was very disappointed in the breakfast. The dining lounge and service were excellent. I was prepared for a simple offering. But it was not good. The hostess offered us omelettes and bacon. The omelettes were made with powdered eggs. They bounced. I couldn’t eat mine. And the pre-made bacon consisted basically of thin strips of salt. Honestly, a little creative thinking could transform the breakfast offering. Real egg is a must if it is part of the menu. Also, before dinner we ordered a drink for the patio. My husband had a rum and coke that looked as if it consisted mainly of a small glass of tinted water. And my Bloody Caesar felt like a mix without the punch. The bartender was lovely but perhaps not comfortable mixing our drinks.

Etwas außerhalb. Am Fluß. Mit dem Auto jedoch gut zu erreichen. Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden. Gegenüber Einkaufszentrum. Bequeme Betten und unser Zimmer zum Fluß war sehr ruhig. Frühstück war okay. Terrasse auf Flußseite. Insgesamt eine Empfehlung.

The breakfast experience was honestly quite disappointing, especially for a 4-star hotel. The scrambled eggs were soggy and cold, and the pancake machine wasn’t even working. On top of that, I had to stand in line holding my tray, waiting for someone to serve me food. I was honestly so embarrassed and uncomfortable with the whole setup that, although we stayed for two nights, I didn’t even go back for breakfast the second morning. I’ve stayed at 3-star hotels where breakfast was properly set up as a buffet and guests could serve themselves, so I really expected much better from a 4-star hotel. Having to stand there with a tray in hand waiting in line for someone to serve basic breakfast items was simply not the experience I expected. The food quality and breakfast service definitely need improvement.

I didn’t like that there was no microwave and electric kettle in the room; we had to ask the lady we saw at the corridor about a microwave, and she said there was one in the floor by the corridor and we can pick it up if we want. and for hot water, I had to repeatedly go from the 5th floor down to the 1st floor several times a day just to make tea. I drink at least three cups of tea a day, so having no proper accommodation for guests who need hot water was extremely inconvenient, especially for a 4-star hotel.

Breakfast was such a dissapointment! you don’t expect to hold a black trey and be served over the counter like you were in some cantine.. and than clear your trey.. after all , this is a 4 star hotel.. the smell of the bacon makes it’s way to the 5th floor , and actually to the whole place all morning… only good thing was they had cappucino and latte. you had to stand in line to be served, as it was the same server who served the food..

Very favorably located hotel, right at the tidal bore in Moncton. Rooms extraordinarily spacious and clean. Comfy and spacious bed. Friendly and forthcoming staff. Good, albeit not outstanding breakfast: Hashbrowns, bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, jam. Great coffee and cappuccino available.

Very effective but noisy HVAC inside the rooms. All the hallways were very cold (due to a bit overeagerly set AC) in the hotel of perceived 16°C when it was 26°C outside. Neither comfy nor environmentally sensible.

Location is central to downtown Moncton with a grocery store within walking distance. The river boardwalk is right outside the hotel.

Breakfast is included, but the processed food is average.

My room was quiet. My bed and pillows were comfortable. Very clean room. Liked the patio and location on the river. Ample parking.

Wish there were more choices of tea. No honey available for tea. No tea choices in our room. I wish the refrigerator had a freezer inside of it.

An excellent hotel at the perfect location on Moncton. Close to the city center, the local Mall and supermarket. The room was large, clean and included a Nespresso coffee machine, a jet shower and bathroom amenities. The stay included a very good breakfast as well. Highly recommended!!!

We enjoyed the spacious room with river views and one of the best complimentary breakfasts we’ve had.

While on the riverfront, it’s not within easy walking distance to restaurants or shops.

We were on an extended trip, staying in many different hotels along the way. Chateau Moncton was one of our favorites - clean and classy with a caring, attentive staff. Seeing the Tidal Bore from our window at 2:00am was a bonus!

I liked the location of the hotel.

Shower pressure was below average so women take longer to get shampoo and conditioner out of their hair. Breakfast was inefficient and lacking. Chateau Bedford is a better hotel in every way.

AC was too loud

During our 19 day road trip of Eastern Canada this was one of the best places we stayed at. This hotel and the Hew & Draw in Corner Brook, Nfld were excellent. The Chateau Moncton was the best deal, for sure. The parking was close to the front door. The staff were very friendly. The hotel has two well functioning elevators. The hallways are wide and well light, and each room has a unique name, which makes it easier to remember which room you are in. The room was large with a good desk, comfy bed and nice bathroom. The wifi was absolutley the best we ever experienced (300 Mbs) in a hotel. The included breakfast they offered hot and continental breakfast choices. The hot breakfast was not self-serve. It was served by a staff member and that meant everthing was well organized and clean. They also offered specialized coffees such as capaccinos and lattes at no extra cost, using a very fancy coffee machine. Our room and restaurant overlooked the Petitcodiac River, which is very interesting. We actaully saw two surfers surfing the Bay of Fundy tide surge at about 9:00 PM, that was amazing and we saw it becasue we happened to be looking out our window at that moment. The hotel and river have a long boardwalk that we took advantage of, and that was very enjoyable.

Communication by the front desk staff. Was told about getting a higher level room if we stayed on first floor one night, then it was never possible. Felt like they told us this just to get us in and not to have to deal with it again. Young staff, didn’t communicate with each other between shifts.

Excellent location for everything we wanted to do. Beds were very comfortable, a nice breakfast offered and an outdoor patio off the dining area to enjoy the river view.

We did find the air conditioning system was noisy. We had to shut it off over night. Would like to see makeup mirrors in the rooms.

I only spent 1 night.The staff was friendly and very helpful. Check in and check out was pleasant and efficient. The room was clean and spacious, with an excellent view of the river. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The hotel's location is awesome and close to everything in Moncton.

There was a long breakfast line waiting on the chef at the omelet station, but that is not too terrible a thing. The rate was high, but within the range of other hotels in the area

Wonderful one night stay at the Chateau Moncton. Location was great. Our room was very spacious and had a lovely view of the river which allowed us to watch the tidal bore roll through in the morning - a very cool added bonus to the room! Breakfast was alright. There was a variety of options from premade omelettes, yogurt, bagels, a pancake making machine, muffins and hard boiled eggs. Would definitely stay here again!

Right next to the river, get a room with river view to enjoy the view on the mascaret. Staff is friendly and welcomes you with a smile. They are always willing to help. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are comfortable. The location is perfect, few blocks from downtown Moncton, easy access to highway. Good choices in the included breakfast scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes, self-made toasts, pancakes machine easy enough that a kid can use, bagles, yogurt, muffins, fruits, 3 choices of juices, coffee brewed in a self service thermos or specialities coffee (just ask at the buffet), hot water for tea or instant oatmeal. You'll for sure find something that you'll like and enough varieties if you stay for few days. I got amazing support from the front desk on my last stay. Definitely my go to hotel when going to or by Moncton.

We booked in for 3 nights at Chateau Moncton and had an excellent stay. The Staff are smiling and attentive, the room was clean and well appointed, and the breakfast excellent. We particularly enjoyed the patio out back, next to the river and boardwalk. A very nice area for our breakfasts on a warm summer morning. Parking was ample as well and location great for getting around. Full marks all around.

.There were stains on the bed sheets and comforters. My room was out of body wash, and even though I requested it from the front desk, it was never delivered. The hot water and coffee thermos in the lobby were usually empty. They also charged my credit card more than the confirmed amount shown on Booking.com. I had to discuss the issue with the front desk before they finally refunded the overcharge.

The hotel is in a lovely location on the river, right beside the Riverwalk. The views are attractive, and it is convenient to shops and restaurants while still being close to downtown. The building feels spacious and welcoming, and the staff we encountered were friendly. Our room was large and reasonably good value, especially with complimentary parking. Unfortunately, two aspects of our stay were disappointing. There appeared to be an ongoing leak that left a large wet area in the carpet outside the bathroom. We mentioned it twice during our stay and again at checkout. Each time, we were told that maintenance would be advised, but no one followed up or offered to move us to another room. We were also looking forward to having a drink at the end of a long day, but the bar had a limited selection and very little atmosphere. There is a lot to like about the hotel, particularly the location and the size of the rooms. However, the lack of response to the wet carpet left us disappointed, and overall the stay did not quite meet our expectations. Based on this experience, I am not sure we would return.
