Great location in Harrogate. Good food at the restaurant and for breakfast. Room was comfortable.

Generally the room was clean, but the cleaning crew’s attention to detail was lacking some - dirty dishes were left in the hall and a vacuum cleaner was left in the middle of my hall for a whole day and night. There is an elevator but the floors still have stairs to some rooms, so if you have mobility issues you will need to check on your room’s location.

Asked for a room with no stairs required to access. There was a lift but several flights of 3 stairs was required, this was hard for my travel companion. However, this is an old building ( 150-200 years) so the staff did the best they could.

The hotel is very central and only a short walk from the Main Street and train station. The staff were lovely and the food was good.

The Harrogate Inn is an expansive old building, oozing with reminders of a Victorian spa town. The bar and restaurant areas are beautiful spaces. Our room was on the small side (compared to spaces throughout the building) but was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a nights stay. The included buffet breakfast had an excellent selection of food, including a variety of fresh berries and other fruit. I didn't have any cooked food, but it looked pretty good. Overall the Inn was excellent value and we would like to come back, for more than one night this time.

My room 303 has obviously not been refurbished as it was very tired and scuffed. The bathroom whilst clean, was in a poor state and the ceiling was peeling and damp. I felt it was overpriced for the condition

Shower over the bath which was very high & difficult to get in & out of. Couldn’t turn shower on & off on first day, had to call someone to come & sort it out. This definitely needs to be changed to a walk in shower. Tissues in room not replaced, just took empty box away Lift was put out of order for cleaners before check out time of 10.30 so had to carry cases down 2 flights of stairs. Surely this should have been done after check out time.

We paid for late check out however we were disturbed twice, once somebody from housekeeping knocked on the door asking if we had late check out and then another staff member just opened the door without knocking. Again then asked if we had late check out

Great location and a lovely hotel, with a charming bar full of history and character. The hotel was clean and tidy, and we really enjoyed our spacious Superior room for three nights, decided to stay an extra night. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Breakfast was very enjoyable too, with freshly poached eggs available on request. We had a very pleasant stay and would happily return.

Dogs allowed in restaurant at breakfast . No AC. Rooms a bit tired.

The food was great from the fish goujon sandwich at lunchtime to the chocolate orange cake and coffee in the afternoon and the burger and mussels in the evening. Drinks were reasonably priced and the service was very good. The buffet breakfast was as good as you would get anywhere and for it to be included in our room rate was a real bonus. We were not travelling with a dog but the doggy menu, choice of meals and free snacks would be very welcome if we had been.

The shower was a little lacking in power and the toilet took a bit of mastering to stop the water running all the time which stopped the cistern from filling.

The room was small but cozy. The hallways felt slightly dated. Car park was very tight to get into.

The shower had a lot of mold growing. WiFi wasn’t great. Window wouldn’t open anymore than about 5cm.

The place was perfect, great location in the center. The staff where very good. And the bar areas was amazing, on first site it was wow, The room was clean and could tell as recently been refurbished to a good standard. Will definitely be returning

Dogs didn’t realise dogs could stay every where I turned they was a dog in the restaurant at breakfast and barking at 10pm at night , I would not return again and would not stay dog friendly I can’t believe it x sorry but your hotel was beautiful

Hotel à l’architecture superbe et situé en plein centre. Nous avons été très généreusement surclassé dans une immense suite et durant notre séjour nous n’avons eu qu’à nous réjouir de la gentillesse et de l’attention parfaite de tout le personnel. Les salons, bars et salle de pdj sont extrêmement cosy et les amoureux d’Art Nouveau seront ravis de prendre un repas dans ces salles de rêve.

Really dirty carpets in room. General air of shabbiness. Terrible food at dinner (in fairness they were horrendously short staffed). Very noisy if you are on the road side.

The guy on the reception check in desk was unhelpful to say the least when it came to the parking situation, it was bank holiday so the carpark was full, but he made no effort to help us find parking, and made no suggestions. Youd think the staff would know what to do when the carparks full. The check out lady was very friendly.

We waited 1.5 hours for our food after placing our order. Got a free drink but staff should have warned us about the wait as my dad has Parkinson’s and has to time his food in-between medication.

It was lovely and cosy bed was comfortable. Only thing we had Sunday lunch which wasn’t the best and after I’d paid the in. Collection sent me a voucher for 20 percent off so we were not happy 😡

The door on the initial room I was given wouldn’t lock, but staff promptly moved me and otherwise I couldn’t complain. Would probably be worthwhile bringing earplugs as think the windows are single glazed and so you can hear the traffic.

Lovely hotel, great location, compact bedroom with very comfortable bed. Nice selection of tea and coffee. Roomy bathroom with a powerful shower. Excellent buffet breakfast in a beautiful dining room. Teapots not just mugs was an unexpected treat as was the lovely crockery. Not the usual white plates and bowls. Very pleasant helpful staff in the dining room.

Main entrance being closed at 11pm. Needing to use.room card to access side door. As a result I made sure to be back before 11. Seemed a bit early to be closing main entrance.

The historical architecture of the hotel was beautiful, so well maintained and a real atmosphere for those staying. The team were all so attentive and genuinely lovely, that’s what really made the stay.

The only thing we didn’t love, is the bed. The mattress was just not to our liking. Nothing that the hotel could have done, but we didn’t have the best nights sleep simply because the mattress springs were uncomfortable for us.

We booked this hotel on recommendation from a friend . The hotel is in a great location, nice room with a lovely atmosphere in the bar area. Reception seemed strange as it was at the bar so didn’t feel very welcoming . We stayed for 3 nights and only had house keeping on one day whom then left our door open! We had a meal in the bar on our last evening and this was very good. Parking is first come first serve BUT be warned our car was hit in the car park we reported it to reception who said they would check their cctv. Haven’t heard back yet! Ample parking on the road outside (pay and display) We visited Leeds for the day and would recommend Ingleton waterfall trail which was beautiful. Overall a nice hotel

This hotel is in the centre of Harrogate close to the park. The bar is busy and noisy .We ate in the restaurant but had to check the booking 3 times as they had us in the bar first and then for 2 not 4 as requested. Even then the table was set for 3 !! All 4 meals were nicely presented and reasonable value . Our room was clean and large . Good size shower and heated towel rail even in August.The bed was OK but the pillows were akin to a rock ! Disappointed.

Room 220 shower needs attention

Got lunch here and fish and chips was a generous portion (chips a bit overcooked). Fish was fresh and tasty. Chicken pie had obviously been under a heat lamp for a while as the crust was rock hard. Filling was a bit over seasoned but tasty and chips were over cooked. We are around 4pm so maybe get better quality earlier for lunch.

Beautiful old property. The bar and restaurant areas are delightful with chandeliers, stained glass and old wooden bars. We had a downstairs superior king room which was 2 singles pushed together. Not great bit OK. Big sitting areas, excellent shower. Plenty of room to move! The breakfast is generous and the staff very helpful.

The floor in our room had very dodgy floor boards under the carpet. We decided on going to the hotel restaurant and ordered a seafood platter which had zero cutlery/tongs which, given it was a share plate, not good. We had to ask for separate plates, tartare sauce or similar. We had to keep on asking for basics such as a slice of lemon or lime for G&T’s, the bread that was supposed to go with the platter, etc. The cooked breakfast was not appealing - it had bacon that was dreadful, an undercooked soggy mass. Such a shame as it’s a lovely setting.

The hotel is located in a nice area of the town, very close to lots of restaurants and shops. The public areas of the hotel are very ornate and interesting. The bar and restaurants have a good atmosphere without being noisy. There are also tables outside for when the weather is fine. Our room was clean spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was really powerful. We had breakfast each day and there was a good selection of hot and cold food to choose from. We had dinner in the restaurant on one occasion and the choice and quality of food was very good. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our visit

Parking at the hotel is hit and miss, I could only find space on one of the three days we were there. There is parking in front of the premises but overnight stays can only be purchased from a third party via their online app, requiring registration. I had trouble accessing it the first time I attempted to book a space and am expecting to receive their £100 fine.

The key card stopped working 3 times in 12 hours. Ridiculous! The room was small, which I knew but the ventilation unit outside was really noisy and made our stay unbearable.
