Meget god morgenmad
Excellent staff and breakfast was brilliant
Nothing - it was all very nice and well done
Location was great. Super clean and staff were super friendly.
Not enough seats for me to sit and wait for my transport or even take a call.
Staff and facilities are fabulous.
The room are on the small side
I have been staying on this hotel on a regular basis for over seven years and my impressions have gone up and down like a rollercoaster from great, to good to ok, depending on the period of the year, the occupancy ratios and the size of the tourist groups staying there. The price of the hotel has almost doubled but the service was undoubtedly better a few years ago than it is today. Platinum members like myself now enjoy less advantages, and relationships with staff are quite week due to high turnover. On a positive note, the breakfast on the 2nd floor is still great with an excellent manager, and the roof-top pool is a hidden gem despite the construction of the Masan/Techcombank tower which has eliminated half the view! The location of the hotel is also great in the heart of District One and I much prefer the feeling here when compared to MGallery, Pullman or Novotel which are all quite close.
Trinh Ly Vinh Thuan -Marcus in Executive Staff Lounge is a very dedicated staff and also caring staff when I toldvhim that I am a full vegan and this is the first time I realized that Sofitel Saigon Plaza has a special menu for vegan food eater. And Marcus also kept ensuring me that I have sufficient food to consume and to enjoy the nice atmosphere in the executive lounge which I have cherished a lot during my first visit to the executive lounge yesterday and for sure I will go to visit the lounge again this evening. Kudos to Marcus for his smiling face rendered to every customer patrolling the lounge and he is a great asset to Sofitel Saigon Plaza. Keep up the great spirits , Marcus !
Beautiful rooms, excellent amenities and professional attentive staff. Walking distance to many points of interest.
It was all good.
We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Saigon. Special thanks to the Housekeeping team for keeping our room spotless, even when we put DND the whole day and only came out of the room after 7pm and went back late at night. Much appreciated. The Reception team was lovely, warm and welcoming throughout our stay. They are always proactive and offer assistance without any hesitation. We also had a very nice dinner at St25 last Saturday. The lady (Ms. Rinna?) who assisted us that evening was especially warm and attentive, with the most welcoming smile. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay such a pleasant and memorable one.
Absolutely love this hotel. The service is beyond 5*! Breakfast is amazing! Rooms and service is so fantastic. We stay here every year. Thanks Sofitel!
We stayed at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza for four nights during our trip to Vietnam and had a great experience. The hotel is very well located, with easy access to the main sights of the city, and everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless, with very good amenities. Breakfast was excellent, and we also really enjoyed the swimming pool on one of the upper floors — a great place to relax after sightseeing. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Tony and Ginny, who were particularly helpful with our check-in and check-out and made us feel very welcome. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and excellent for families travelling with small children. Highly recommended!

Great service and amenities. Amazing food with a lot of variety.
Great hotel. The breakfast is fantastic and super friendly and attentive staff. The rooftop pool is wonderful, and during summer needed!
The aircon in the room was a little noisy
Very nice hotel. Excellent service. And Very friendly staff. Specially THY,THAO,TRUC and Van That
I was at Sofitel Saigon Plaza 2 years ago and had had dinner at ST25. Alice was my server then and when I returned this year August 2026, I was lucky enough to have her help me with my meal again. I chose the curated meal for dinner. Alice was so helpful in describing each dish, chatting with me about my day, Vietnam and just making me feel special. I cannot say enough what an amazing job she did. I will come back to Sofitel every time I come to Vietnam because of the service and experience I received both tonight and on my first visit. The food was amazing, I especially enjoyed the fried chicken and lobster. Hands down the best experience and service I have had in Ho Chi Minh. Thank you Alice and all the staff, you are amazing!
The room view and the breakfast were fabulous
Nothing, all was great.
god beliggenhed, personale er høflig og hjælpsom.
The breakfast spread was awesome. The bed was really comfortable.
The first thing that caught my attention at Sofitel Saigon Plaza was that this is a seriously detail-oriented hotel. Pre-arrival communication was very detailed, special arrival arrangements were well coordinated, and it all suggested an operation that really knows what it is doing. Which could explain why I was so surprised when, upon entering the room, the first thing I saw was an unflushed toilet. Kudos to the Duty Manager who not only appeared calm & composed, but genuinely apologised and tried her best for a recovery. While I did appreciate that courtesy, I could not help but mentally remind myself that a similar amount of care and attention paid to the recovery would have gone so much further if it had been spent BEFORE anything from the room was put out. I was just as bewildered on another front. It was obvious a lot of effort had gone into arranging our arrival before check-in, but paperwork way too simple to be resolved at that moment, were only addressed at the very end. However, it got worse: we sat with management that discussed the room but helped us [...]. There were a variety of points at which things that remained to be done could have been resolved, so it was hard to see how it only became urgent once we had already checked out. Personally, the room never felt as cool as you would feel in a luxury facility and that played against our comfort during our stay. Staff were unfailingly courteous, and I actually believe they wanted to help. But my feeling was that the hotel's focus on details was stronger in the booking process than during the experience as a guest. The big gestures rarely defines luxury. That memory is recalled more frequently through the small things that guests never notice, because they were quietly done correctly from the start.
I have just checked out of Room 1619 &before continuing my journey to Munich, I simply wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. yur wonderful team made my very first visit to Vietnam truly magical. It was far more than just a hotel stay. It became another unforgettable chapter in my family’s long journey with Accor, the Heartist philosophy. Thank u so much for the beautiful welcome touches. I absolutely loved the elegant rose petals around the bathroom, the fresh bouquet displayed on my table, the warm welcome amenities & every thoughtful detail your team prepared. Those little surprises transformed my arrival into an emotional& memorable Heartist moment. The Phở I ordered through room service late at night was absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect introduction to authentic Vietnamese cuisine, and I can already understand why it is loved around the world. I also wanted to sincerely thank you for embracing my partner Allen YAO, Ching-Han YAO, through your thoughtful welcome. Seeing his photo included among the personalised touches genuinely meant a lot to both of us. One small favour, if possible. I noticed your team had prepared a beautiful one minute welcome video highlighting my life journey, career achievements and personal milestones. it means so much to me. If I may offer one small piece of feedback, it relates only to Club Millésime. The lovely lady who worked 20 July 2026 at 6 AM there was absolutely fabulous. She remained warm, professional and attentive throughout my visit. However, I genuinely felt for her because she appeared to be managing the lounge on her own. At one stage, another guest waiting to check out looked a little anxious simply because she was trying her very best to assist multiple guests at once. This certainly wasn’t a reflection on her performance. In fact, it demonstrated how dedicated she is. I simply wondered whether an additional colleague during busy periods might help deliver an even more seamless luxury experience. Tram Nguyen (Club Millesime) cannot thank you enough. There were also no slippers or hairdryer in my room. It honestly wasn’t an issue for me as I have short hair and simply dried it with a towel, but I thought I’d mention it in case housekeeping would like to know. As someone working in actuarial science, we often discuss guest satisfaction through measures such as Net Promoter Score, reputation and long term loyalty. Yet experiences like this remind me that the strongest predictor of guest loyalty is something far less measurable. Genuine human kindness. Your team created those emotional connections beautifully, and I have no doubt they are the reason guests continue returning to Sofitel. Thank u once again, Alistair, and team for ur generosity, leadership and genuine hospitality. Please extend my heartfelt appreciation to every Heartist who made my stay so special. Until we meet again, I wish you and your entire team every success. (Thanks to the lady from the entrance who is out of the box from the entrance to club milesime, and the lady who is there from 6AM today too + Wayne + Midnight FO, the tall man and GUEST RELATION TEAM, they are the best). Merci infiniment. Merci beaucoup. Xin cảm ơn rất nhiều. Hẹn gặp lại! Mart R 1619 Sydney, Australia
Stayed here with a group, and the team absolutely nailed it. From check-in to departure, everything ran seamlessly. The rooms were comfortable, the service was genuine, and every interaction felt warm and effortless. A really nice touch was being personally welcomed by the General Manager on arrival and then seeing them again to say goodbye on departure. Small gestures like that make a lasting impression. A special mention to ST25 by KOTO, where the dining experience was the perfect finish. Properly good food, thoughtfully prepared, and full of flavour. Big credit to everyone behind the scenes for making the stay such an enjoyable one. Jay
The frient staff service from hotel entrance and throught out during my stay. It has good range of gym equipment and space and yoga classes and separate space.
The access card can access to other floors and not as what they claimed to your floor. It is the same range of breakfast type.
A truly amazing experience. Firstly, the team. All the employees are really customer focused and extremely friendly. The GM, Director of operations etc are grounded and integral part of the day to day running of the hotel. Food selection at breakfast was excellent. ( Missed i Indian food though!) Restaurants are well decorated, thoughtful Menu’s, rooms clean, very well lit up etc I could go on and on. Will look forward to going back.
Had an amazing stay here. Travelled as a family with 2 kids and the hotel was very accommodative to our requirements. Thank you to the attentive and ever smiling staff of Sofitel Saigon Plaza for making our stay so memorable.
We stayed at Sofitel Saigon Plaza for seven nights as part of a group trip and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we landed at the airport until our departure, every arrangement was handled professionally and seamlessly. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, the food was excellent, and the overall hospitality throughout our stay was exceptional. A special word of appreciation to Mr. Alistair Minty, the General Manager, and his entire team for taking such wonderful care of us. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to guest comfort made our stay especially memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the property and felt very well looked after throughout the trip. We would be delighted to return and highly recommend Sofitel Saigon Plaza to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
Awesome hotel . My 2nd time here and the service levels are impeccable . Staff go out of the way the make your comfortable . Truly home away from home .
Stayed for a quick business trip due to the good location within D1. Loved the room, the amenities and the service. Very efficient and always friendly. Special shout out to Ms. Thuy! Also met the GM Mr. Minty at the breakfast, a true British gentleman. Looking forward to stay again soon!
I recently stayed at Sofitel Saigon Plaza and overall the experience was excellent. This is a hotel I would strongly recommend, especially for travelers who plan to spend more time enjoying the hotel itself and want a more relaxing stay. The location is strategic, making it convenient to get around Ho Chi Minh City. My room was not very big, but I did receive an upgrade, which I appreciated. The room was comfortable and came with a coffee machine, which was very convenient for me. One thing I really liked was the thoughtfulness of the service. The hotel offers a pre-order breakfast to enjoy in the room, and although I did not use it, I thought it was a very considerate touch. Housekeeping was also very well organized. They provided a request card where I could fill in what I needed, and the person preparing my room followed it accordingly. I usually ask for more drinking water, and with this card, it was very easy and efficient. Another detail that made the stay memorable was the evening service. They would knock on my door to ask if I needed anything, and if not, I would receive a chocolate from the room service team. On my last night, I even received two chocolates, and honestly, this small gesture really elevated the overall experience for me. It showed genuine care and attention to detail. The staff were helpful and kind, and the lounge service was good as well. The view from the lounge is very nice, especially around sunset. I also appreciated getting an early check-in at 12pm and late check-out at 4pm, thanks to my Accor Platinum member privileges. The gym was impressive too. You can clearly see that the equipment has been upgraded, and they are using Technogym, which is a premium brand. Everything was good overall, except that the second treadmill from the left did not feel properly calibrated. For someone who runs regularly and is very familiar with treadmills, it was quite noticeable. Breakfast was another highlight of the stay. The choices were great, and I especially loved the coffee selection. Since Vietnam is the second-largest coffee producer in the world, I really enjoyed exploring the different styles available. My favorites were the salted coffee, egg coffee, and coconut coffee. The raw honeycomb was also a very interesting touch. On top of that, I really loved the juice bar. There were so many colorful options, and just seeing the vibrant juices in the morning made me happy. Overall, this was a very enjoyable and well-rounded stay. The service felt warm and thoughtful, the breakfast was excellent, the lounge was pleasant, and the hotel created a truly relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Sofitel Saigon Plaza to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
Excellent choice of food Very good staff service
Every thing was perfect
We stayed there for 3 nights on our first lag of Vietnam trip. The hotel is fine, however some stuff feels a bit dated. For instance air conditioning system, with old fashioned control panel which makes it really hard to adjust / control. On the other hand, the breakfast is the best I have ever had plus hotel crew is very friendly and helpful. Very good location for sightseeing. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
It’s an old hotel with really old and poorly designed rooms. The placements of nearly everything is inconvenient. However the food is fantastic.
The team at the Sofitel have been amazing. Everyone is friendly and looking for ways to make the stay a memorable experience. The beds are very comfortable, the buffet breakfast is superb and the views are delightful. We have greatly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be returning again.

Arrived at the hotel and taken straight to the Club Millesime for a smooth check in. Our corner room on the 18th floor had amazing views of Ho Chi Minh City including the Landmark 81 and Bitexco Tower. Also received a lovely greeting in the room of 3 chilled beers and local snacks. Club Millesime access provides you with all day refreshments and snacks and in the evening from 6.00 - 8.00 cocktails alongside a selection of hot and cold food. Breakfast is buffet with a large and varied selection including banh mi, dim sum, noodles, rice, congee, pho and the usual bacon, sausages and eggs, pastries and fruit juices. Our usual table was always reserved for us. All staff were so wonderful and delightful to chat with. Rooftop pool was amazing but some days got too busy so unable to get a seat.
Beautiful hotel, prime location and friendly staffs, especially club Millesime staffs
There are many aspects of this hotel that we would rate as exceptional, but what truly sets it apart is the consistently high standard of service delivered by every member of staff, across all areas of the hotel. Importantly, we observe this same warmth and attentiveness extended to all guests - not just regular visitors or VIP clientele. Vietnamese hospitality is already renowned for its genuine warmth, gentle nature, and willingness to please. However, the team here, under the guidance of executive management including Alistair, Estaban, and Eban, elevate that hospitality to another level entirely. Guests are made to feel genuinely valued, comfortable, and able to fully relax knowing they are being exceptionally well looked after. What also impresses us is the way the team thoughtfully cater to guests of all ages, often without any request or prompting. This was especially evident during our recent stay from 2–10 May, when we travelled with our grandson. He was absolutely delighted, and thoroughly spoilt with thoughtful touches including his “Little Prince” accessories, a ride-on toy, and other age-appropriate gifts and activities. It was such a treat for us to watch him enjoy these extras and, truthfully, even the adults enjoyed them too. Thank you to the entire team for creating such special memories for our family. The rooms are immaculately presented, dining options are plentiful, and the rooftop pool area is a standout, with refreshments and bar menu available, and a view overlooking the city. In summary, while there are many lovely properties in central Ho Chi Minh City, this hotel consistently exceeds expectations and, in our view, will not disappoint. Warmest regards - and can't wait to be back! Tapsell Family
Stayed this week at Sofitel Saigon Plaza and had a rather mixed experience overall. The positive side of the stay was definitely the service from the reception and bell service teams. The staff were helpful, welcoming, and always willing to assist, which I truly appreciated throughout my stay. The room itself was spacious and functional in terms of switch accessibility and layout. However, the condition of the room felt quite dated for a Sofitel property. The bed quality was disappointing , the mattress felt worn out and shrinking, some parts of the linen were torn, and the pillows felt old and uncomfortable, which made it difficult to get proper sleep. One thing that also surprised me was the lack of a power outlet beside the bed. Having to charge the phone on the work desk instead felt inconvenient and unusual for a hotel of this level. Housekeeping service during turndown also lacked warmth and personalization. Staff simply knocked, handed over two chocolates, said “chocolate for turndown,” and left without even greeting the guest properly. It felt more procedural than luxury hospitality. Breakfast was another area that did not meet expectations. The selection was quite basic and lacked variety. I recently experienced breakfast at the JW Marriott Café in Saigon, and the difference was very noticeable. Some of the bread and pastries at Sofitel seemed stale, and the croissant in particular was disappointing. Overall, the stay felt average. There was no real “wow” factor that made the experience memorable, especially when compared with properties like the Metropole in Hanoi, which delivers a much stronger luxury identity and experience.
This hotel is very central and the staff are amazing. The hotel is very nice with a lovely rooftop pool and bar. Two things really blew us away. First we had an issue with our room and had almost no sleep. We asked to be changed first thing in the morning. No pressure or questions - we had a new room within 40 minutes and our bags delivered - brilliant. The second thing was the breakfast. This has to be the best in any hotel we've ever stayed in. To top this off the restaurant in the evenings is a Mitchlin Recommended. We had the most awsome food. We did feel rather conspicuous though as, after 24 hours travelling e really were not dressed for the occasion! Highly recommended. And we love the lady going round with croissants table to table in breakfast.
Tout était parfait : du checkin au checkout. Personnel au petit soin, chambre parfaite.
Absolutely fabulous service, food & beautiful hotel.highly recommend! Zoey on reception is so helpful.
This is a great hotel - I can recommend it great checkin and then we got very good rooms with everything you need fantastic breakfast with fantastic staff - it was a pleasure The pool area is amazing - lots of sundeck chairs and an inviting pool The poolbar people did a fantastic job - a credit to sofitel
Well I had another very good stay at the Sofitel again. One of the highlights was being met at the airport by the beautiful Abbie in National dress which was a very lovely surprise I was not expecting great PR Abbie. My checking was flawless as usual, my room was ready which I was not expecting as it was early in the morning and I had not asked for a early check-in, Thank you guys. The WiFi is good a/c good and bed is very comfortable, well done to the housekeeping staff. I spend time at the club which is very good, thanks to Tram,Astrid,Chanel, Zoe Tina,Nhi,Brian,Marcus. The Boudoir bar is a great place to meet up also the bar on the 3rd floor, its a speak easy style of bar. If you need help go to Concierge, Tim Andy,Ricky Wayne and another's. In short it's a great hotel and they are starting a major upgrade soon so it'll be even better..
Lage
Very good hotel, great breakfast and very clean. The staff were all excellent, we really enjoyed our stay.
Classic French luxury. Good club lounge with friendly people and good drinks and food. One major turnoff was an outside party across the street which woke us up at 0630. Maybe improve noise insulation during the much needed renovation.
The stay here was our last one after the wonderful trips to Danang & Phu Quoc. The location of the hotel is quite good considering that all the major landmarks in the city are nearby. The concierge staff was really helpful in guiding us for visiting the nearby malls & the city bus tour. The restaurant staff was really friendly & special shout out to Ms. Van That & Truc. But our experience of staying here was dampened by what had happened on the last day while going for the buffet breakfast. The lady at the restaurant entrance told us that we need to keep one of our kids outside while only rest of us could go in for breakfast or else we needed to pay for my kid. This behavior was very rude & I had to immediately report it to the reception. The reception staff apologized for the treatment meted out to us & told us that there’s some system bug so the lady at the restaurant was not able go through the reservation details in the system. But if that’s the case, we could have been told to wait a while until system bug was restored instead of telling us bluntly to keep one of our kids outside.
The location was incredible and the food amazing
The rooms would need some minor renovations, such as the walls and some pieces of furniture
Good experience in the hotel. Accommodating staff especially Brian who allowed late checkout.
What an amazing facility! The rooms are comfortable, the restaurants are fabulous and the staff is exceptional. We at a couple of meals at the ST25 restaurant and I have to say they were the best experiences I’ve had in quite some time. The staff attends to your every need. A shout out to Mille and Percy - simply amazing staff! The food was a culinary delight.
We stayed at this hotel as part of a post-cruise land package with Amawaterways. The hotel is near the heart of Saigon within easy walking distance to the zoo, presidential palace, Notre Dame cathedral, and main post office. We had a good-sized room on the 17th floor with views of the city. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious with a large walk-in shower. The restaurant had many options and we also used room service which provided our order quickly. There is a roof top pool with views of the city and plenty of seats to relax. The staff was friendly and efficient.
I visited the hotel and enjoyed latte coffee and a croissant. It’s tasteful and I loved it. BTW The hotel ambiance is great and the staff are professional.
Luxury bedding, towels, coffee machine. Staff super nice. Food and drinks are great. Central location. Lovely dining and bar area.
Every thing, the private check-in/out, a la carte breakfast, cocktails dinner. Staffs were excellent, approachable and helpful. Modern facilities at close proximity to everywhere that we need to go in district 1. Beautiful swimming pool. We used the pool and sauna every day.
Nothing. Thank you Sofitel for a wonderful stay. Will definitely come back and stay here when we're in HCM city again next time.
Had a wonderful few days in this hotel. Lovely room and service. Great breakfast assortment. Highly recommend and very close to key attractions of the city with easy walking distance.
Had a very nice stay at the Sofitel, although it is very busy, with many tour groups, including ours. Very comfortable room, with deliciously soft pillows; however, didn’t particularly appreciate the deep purple decor. The WiFi was a little temperamental, and the lighting system impossible to figure out. Had to unscrew the light bulbs of 2 lamps to turn them off. The restaurant was great, both for breakfast and dinner. The bar in the barbershop on the 3rd floor the best thing in the hotel! Plus, got a great haircut and shave.
Very noisy building work being done in hotel. Our room sounded like a building site. A card in room apologised for the noise- but it was awful. Apart from that, lovely hotel, breakfast delicious. Rooftop bar restaurant stand out at night with view of night time Ho Chi Minh
After 2 nights of being totally spoiled at The Hotel des Arts Saigon, we headed for 1 night at the nearby Sofitel Saigon Plaza. The main public area is large and impressive with fresh flowers and friendly doormen to welcome you. Check-in was a little uncomfortable as the female member of staff almost immediately started to try and sell me the Explorer subscription. I politely explained I already had a paid for subscription and therefore didn’t want to take another at that time but did say I would read the information she gave me. We had only just arrived at our room when I received the first of many WhatsApp messages, again from the female at reception listing all the benefits of the Explorer card. The room itself was very dated. I am not sure who decided on the Black and Purple décor but it was as dark as it sounds. The furnishings were rather scuffed and dented. It was not a room we wanted to spend much time in! I had stupidly left my jacket at the Hotel des Arts and we asked the concierge if they would mind calling the hotel so we could pick the jacket up later. Once they had done this they asked if we would mention them on Tripadvisor. More than once. I am (of course) all for praising great & friendly service but this was the 2nd time in less than an hour that we felt slightly pressured during our stay. We used our drinks vouchers in the Boudoir bar, as it was the only place to get a drink and it has serious Vegas-Vibes, with lots of gold and trimmings everywhere. The male member of staff hardly uttered a word to us but we did get our preferred beverages so I am putting that down as one of the few positives. We left the next morning to continue our Vietnam adventure and didn’t look back. Quite simply the Sofitel Saigon Plaza is just not for us.
Thank you to Anh Tai at Concierge who went above and beyond the call of duty for me on this trip to Ho Chi Minh City. Thank you for all of your assistance for the recovery of my lost property Tai, much appreciated. Bri

Classy hotel with very helpful staff. Ate at one of the restaurants and had great meal at a good price. Had one or two matters in room that needed sorted and done within minutes.
