ibis Coventry Centre

Starf were very helpful and the hotel being so close to the city center, it was very conveinient for visiting the Cathederal, Art Museum, Shopping Arcade and resturants. A great stay all round. A&Gxx

Das Hotel und die Zimmerl sind schon ziemlich "runter" gekommen. Könnte mal renoviert werden; war alles sauber aber bestimmt schon über 20 Jahre abgewohnt. Würde es für den Preis nicht nochmal buchen. Frühstück war nicht so dolle; Angebot spärlich; haben unseren Joghurt für Müsli selbst gekauft.

did not take cash and having to pay for parking. It was because spending cash was not available that i did not have breakfast there or any other food or drink. very disappointed that you would discriminate against those that like to use cash. The policy is very unfair

Staff very helpful and friendly, location to train station was great and the fact there was a small bar with snack food on offer was a bonus.

Room design, and USB adaptor in room didn't work. However reception lent us a plug to enable us to charge phone.

Great location within a 10-minute walk to the town center. The staff were polite and helpful, and the breakfast was fine. My first room had a couple of maintenance issues with a leaking air conditioner and sink, but the staff acted quickly to move me to a new room and resolve the problem. Overall, great service!

The breakfast had limited variety and was repetitive from day to day. Additionally, the warm items were rarely served hot enough.

Great location and i closeto city centre. Good value for money

I had a very comfortable stay at Ibis. The staff provided excellent customer service and were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The facilities were clean, neat and well maintained, making the overall experience very pleasant. I would happily stay at Ibis again.

Perfect location. Few minutes by feet to: Coventry railway station, City center. Amazing garden view. Stuff that really cares about everyone. Very nice breakfast. Hopefully I will come back.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, check in and out were easy. There were dogs staying there, all well behaved so that was very nice!

Breakfast was pretty basic, especially for a vegan. The building was lit but felt quite dark. It is 3 stars, just, I would say. Charging for parking is obnoxious.

I was quite surprised to find out that parking was charged separately during my stay at ibis. I honestly didn’t expect to pay extra for parking, and this was something I didn’t like about the experience. It would be much better if this was made clearer before booking, as it adds an unexpected cost to the stay. Apart from that, my stay was okay, but the parking charge was definitely disappointing.

They obviously have a problem with their sewage system as the room smelt awful. Also, the lighting in the room was very dim & depressing. There was no socket next to the kettle either so had to either carry a hot kettle across the room or move the whole tray. just a strange set up. There was also no toilet brush in the bathroom. On arrival I was charged for parking which had not been made obvious when I booked. When I scanned the QR code in the room, the parking charge info was incorrect as I had been charged more than stated price.

The location was excellent. A short walk to/from both the railway station and city centre. The bed was comfortable.

The main entrance doors were filthy. Dirty carpet, lack of air freshener throughout, smell of sewage coming from the sinkhole, sink plug broken, shower head feel several times because it didn't fit the bracket, leaking air con which dripped the whole night and the smell of spilt beer beneath the bedside table (was still wet). The lights in the room aren't soft enough and it was hard to strike a balance for a relaxing setting The reception/bar area is devoid of any soul. I stayed here many years ago and the difference is stark. It's uninviting and dark.

Hotel is in a good location right in the city centre, the bar and food are reasonable quality. the bed generally is quite comfortable

You have to pay for using the car park, £8 a day is very pricey and there are no nearby streets to park for free on. The tv in my room didnt work, i vould not get any reception. There was no bin in my room, although the cleaner visits every morning. The tap water tasted terrible and i suspect it was recycled.

The staff at the Ibis were exceptional. Very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were basic but clean and great value for money. We had a couple of small issues which were fixed immediately.

The staff on duty over the weekend were so helpful with everything and worked really hard. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and functional. Opportunity to park car in 24hr blocks for a very reasonable price very important to my stay. Air con throughout a luxury during this prolonged spell of heatwaves! Good choice at breakfast and 24/7 service. Thank you.

Charged £8 for parking- no need for this, car park was empty. Not sure what the noise was but some machine sounded like we were next to a construction site but from 6am on a Sunday morning, not the most pleasant way to wake up

The location was good -a few minutes walk from the city centre. The staff were very helpful and friendly (e.g. the lift had just broken down so the receptionist carried our cases up to the second floor). We appreciated the air-conditioning in the hot weather

The staff are friendly and the hotel is walking distance from the station, about 10 mins. It served its purpose for an overnight stay. Basic but nice, clean enough, and it has a pool table downstairs.

The room carpet was a bit grubby with stains on the carpet and dust under the bed. The kettle was nowhere near a plug socket so I had to move the kettle next to the bed to boil the kettle. And the teaspoons in the room had a very bad smell, like they had been put up somewhere where teaspoons should never be. Get clean ones from the canteen.

It was a welcome 'port in a storm'. The storm was the chaos of the rail network during the heatwave which meant that I couldn't get home. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

It's a tired hotel in need of refurbishment. The room was on the second floor and the only lift was out of service. Although the controls in the room gave the impression that there was air conditioning - in reality the unit that looked like an a/c unit was no more than a fan that could circulate the air.

Road closure, made it difficult to access. Staff unable to tell me that despite the road being closed I could still drive down to access the hotel - I was told to drive back into the city centre - and come back out again!!!! I didn’t go into the centre - so I couldn’t go back into it!!

Excellent location. Staff were happy and helpful and pleasant enough to have a laugh. Breakfast was great. Nice to choose your food and not have it already plated.

Roadworks by the entrance were confusing as o didn't think the road was open due to not knowing the area. Got there in the end. Lifts weren't working at the time of my visit. Not a problem to me but would be for the elderly with suitcases. Again not tge staffs fault

the room was ok fior a 3 star hotel, the bed was so comfortable and there was a fan if you needed to use it. I really enjoyed the breakfast as well. Lovely hotel and the staff were so helpful. Will def stay again

Room decor outdated. Carpet in room dirty near the bathroom white stains. Curtains had moth holes. Kettle not near a PowerPoint ? Remote for TV did not work I had to get it replaced. Door in room 133 did not close tight so when the door in the hallway opened/ closed the door banged. I think the receptionist had to cook my meal though he tried his best it was not very nice. Everything was very fried. No chef available ?

Room fulfilled its obligations. It had a bed. There was a shower and a toilet. There was someone at reception when we arrived AND when we left. There was a bag drop available.

The room was badly designed. Three times on the first night, we were woken up because by shifting in my sleep I had hit the light switch for the main lights. The switch was far too close to the bed. The shower didn't seal properly and water went all over the bathroom floor every time someone showered. The bathroom door stuck and was noisy to open or close at night. There weren't enough towels. The lighting, both natural and artificial, was too low - not very good for working, putting on make up or trying to find a lost earring by. I was disappointed that the accessible entrance was difficult to find. The location isn't brilliant being tucked away in a maze of one-ways and pedestrian access through a series of dubious underpasses.
