Cheap and clean
Breakfast isn’t amazing
Bell’edificio, tutto il necessario in camera, ottima colazione
Very clean and comfortable, excellent location for getting to places of interest. Quiet area, no traffic noise . Well catered for as a coeliac on a strict gluten free diet, and very helpful.
Not enough information from reception about the hotel on arrival
Contemporary and plays into mid-century design. Very good breakfast. Well equipped and comfortable room.
Centrally located. Lovely friendly and helpful staff Breakfast very substantial

Clean. Comfortable. Nice rooftop bar.

Room was clean, comfortable and a good size. Really enjoyed the way the features of the building have been preserved and used within the design of the hotel.
Le rapport qualité prix est très bon, l’histoire de ce lieu transformé en hôtel et la décoration art déco sont des points forts. Le serveuse du soir au restaurant est adorable ! Petit déjeuner généreux.
Liked the shower. Comfortable bed. Good location. Industrial feel related to the history of the building.
Arrangements for breakfast - couldn't just have a coffee at that time of day. Actually I got a free coffee, but would have preferred the option to sit comfortably and pay for a coffee.
Hotel rooms and corridor carpets need a proper deep cleaning.
I liked everything about the hotel, from the front of the building and the welcoming staff to the room itself. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and overall, I had a very pleasant stay.
I like everything.
Close to the cathedral, bus and train stations. Comfy room, spacious, very reasonable price and great breakfast.

This is our favourite hotel. We return every year for our anniversary and stay in the Lord Iliffe Suite. Everything about this hotel is fantastic! The breakfast is self served, with traditional Full English, pastries, yogurts, fresh fruits, cheese and different bakery items.
I would prefer it if they brought back The White Company toiletries.
Great city centre location. Our room was a great size & had a mini fridge, coffee machine as well as a kettle & an ironing board & iron. It even had a radio next to the bed. The room was very comfortable & clean & the bathroom a great size too. We thought it was great Loved the history of the building & the items & artifacts that have been kept from when it produced newspapers.
The only thing lacking in the room was some drawer space.
Staff were excellent, rooms are very comfortable and clean.

Edifício do hotel com muita história
Algumas zonas nas imediações do hotel parecem menos seguras a partir de determinadas horas.
I have stayed here before and like everything about the hotel.
Nothing really.
Lovely hotel with lovely staff, Clean, comfortable room that has a fridge which is a bonus.
Nothing to dislike
really enjoyed my stay at the Telegraph Hotel. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Coventry and within easy walking distance of the cathedral, shops, restaurants and other attractions. The hotel has a unique character, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
I would've liked for the roof top bar to be open on sunday otherwise nothing crazy.
De super grote kamer en douche. Zeer vriendelijk personeel.
Helaas geen parkeergarage in/onder hotel. Wel parkeergarage skydome op 7 min lopen voor £12.- voor 24 uur. Alleen te betalen met pinpas.
I had booked the Telegraph Hotel for our wedding anniversary and I was not disappointed. It is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history. Our room was very comfortable and came with a settee and chair and a large comfortable bed.The bathroom was clean with a huge walk in shower with plenty of hot water. The room was warm but had air conditioning that was quiet so could be left on without disturbing your sleep if needed. I had opted for half board and was glad I had. The food was very good and the service from Peter and Cloe was exceptional and friendly whilst being very professional. Breakfast was a buffet hot or cold that you helped yourself to. There was a juice machine and an excellent coffee machine. We spent two nights at the hotel as we visited the Cathedral which was amazing and then the motor museum. We parked at the Orchard shopping centre for the duration of our stay as it is a secure car park and cost £24.00 which we thought in the circumstances was quite reasonable. We will definitely visit again.
Because it is a buffet for breakfast the fried eggs were congealed. Everything else was okay.

Neat and organised. Food well presented and warm. Additional fresh fruit would be good
The 60s decor was wonderful, the attention to detail was excellent and inspiration from the original use of the building was done tastefully. We loved our room, the bed was so comfortable and great to have a coffee machine. We opted for breakfast and weren't disappointed with the selection on offer and enjoyed the dining room. It was a lovely stay and just wish we'd had longer to enjoy this stylish hotel.
The hotel doesn't have parking so was just an extra consideration looking at where to park that wasn't too far.to walk with cases. We opted for the West Orchard shopping centre which was close but didn't have access after the shops closed so one to check depending on your plans
Good breakfast, staff took some time to seat us.
The staff were helpful and friendly. My room was lovely and cosy .The little details, such as the retro radio, the red bulb, the large picture print on the wall.
There was nothing that I didn't like.
Consistently good level of service, clean rooms, unique decor, incredibly comfy beds and a choice of different pillow types depending on your preference.
Toilet paper could be of a thicker quality but that’s being very picky, apologies!
Nothing.
Filthy towels and bedsheets. Housekeeping staff keep the towels on the corridor floor when “cleaning” rooms, causing concern for unhygienic towels coming into contact with skin. We had continuous plumbing issues throughout our entire stay. Staff huff and puff if you ask them to help fix leaks and draining issues that are causing flooding in the bathroom. Rude staff and management refusing to take any accountability for poor experience and offering fair solutions. I would never stay in this awful property again. Look elsewhere, there are much better properties in the city center with excellent customer service and hygiene standards.
Thank you for giving me the best of the best stay I genuinely enjoyed my stay. Thank you for listening to my needs. 100/100. You went above my expectations. And I enjoyed my stay and it’s very close to the centre.

Clean, staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Position was great. Room was comfortable and well appointed.
The location is very central and the facilities are impressive 👏
Variety at breakfast, great choices

Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel well located for visiting the Cathederal
Restaurant was very quiet for dinner. The decor of the restaurant was a little austere.
It was really clean and had a great location.
Nothing.
Big, comfortable room, bed was large and comfy as well. Loved the decor with the old wood panelling and furniture. Good location in the centre of Coventry
Breakfast was included but could have been of a better standard for this type of hotel offering. It was fine, just a bit uninspiring!
Fantastic hotel great location would definitely stay here again

Good location, comfortable beds & good menu.
Didn't like a member if the bar staff calling me. 'My darling '. Not professional.
Favourite place to stay in Coventry, the staff are really good and the rooms are big
Return visit, friendly and stylish hotel. Staff go beyond to make the guests feel comfortable. Recommended.
All good!
This has been my regular stay when coming to Coventry to visit family its very clean comfortable and close to all the amenities. Staff are friendly and welcoming plus its part of the history of Coventry always a good stay
Nothing to dislike
Good location
A very comfortable and well appointed place for a stay
I love the use of the telegraph paper building. I thought it was clever, resourceful, and very pretty.
I thought the check-in area was a bit clinical, but it was still very nice
Great location for where I wanted to go. Staff were friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Felt safe, as a solo female traveller.

friendly staff. Great room. Great food.

Nice clean hotel location great
Comfortable with lovely bar & restaurant. Food very good. Rooftop seating area. Room design.
Parking is 10 mins walk.
My favourite hotel in Coventry! Such a lovely hotel and room for a reasonable price. Beds are super comfy and we love the shower!
The view outside, couldnt see it. Basically paid for a windowless room for a window room price.
Great room, great décor, great staff

Stayed 1 night in a duplex room. It was a quirky room
That there was no window downstairs
The Receptionist on arrival was so friendly and professional. This is so important as it sets the tone for the entire stay. This lady absolutely nailed all the boxes. Everywhere was spotless and well kept. Everything was very comfortable.
Ran out of Danish Pastries too early in the morning, my guess is these favourites can be baked from frozen on site. Just like croissants.
Very nice and quiet hotel, good bar, very comfy and at the centre of Coventry
Carpet on hallway are horrible and so inconvenient with luggage
It was central and very well maintained still looks like the old telegraph offices
Just the front door locking could do with a card code door for night
The location was good.
Breakfast was overpriced. Tea tray dirty. Towels not changed. No parking only a couple of spots to park for a shot time while unloading cases. Is a problem when there is no room as other cars taken up the space.
Konum, temizlik
Koridorun kokusu
The location and the friendly staff
The rooms were a bit too hot, even with the air con on.
We stayed at the Telegraph last year and enjoyed it. Location is great, you can walk from Poole Meadow bus station. It's right in the city centre and has a nice bar. Room comfy, altho 2 lounge chairs would be nice, but we managed to borrow one!!
Our first room was at the back of the hotel, with no view and looked at a black wall. Not nice at all. So we asked to be moved to one that was better situated (as we were thre 3 nights) and thankfully it was much better and overlooked the Theatre (which is the best side).
Hot tub
Just seem a bit empty and net curtains should be changed to blinds I would say
Great decor comfy beds beautiful bathrooms
The breakfast was basic coffee machine coffee not nice It is a shame when it first opened the breakfast was excellent
The breakfast in the morning and friendly staff
The room was still too hot with air con on
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Lovely staff. Understated hotel . Very quiet.
Great room, lots of space, great bed. Perfect location with a good care park nearby and close to centre. Good restaurant with amazing desserts
Everything was very good
A very warm and welcoming hotel, the room ticked all the boxes 😊

I stayed here for one night and had a really disappointing experience. The first room I was given had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, to the point it was hard to breathe. I asked the receptionist to change my room and even suggested she check it herself, but she refused and only reluctantly moved me. The second room was a loft-style room and extremely hot in the middle of summer. I ran the AC for about half an hour with no improvement, so I went back to ask for another room. The same receptionist became flustered and said no staff were available to check the room, so I’d have to wait an hour. Since I had to leave at 4am, waiting wasn’t an option, so I ended up staying in the hot room and barely slept. To make things worse, the hotel didn’t provide the 4am wake‑up call I requested. Overall, the service was unprofessional, the staff seemed poorly trained, and despite having other rooms available, they refused to help. I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world, and this was genuinely one of my worst experiences. Management really needs to retrain or replace staff.
The central location and the high quality of everything.
I should have liked a sheet on the bed as well as a duvet. Then I could have just been covered by the sheet.
Personnel très agréable. Localisation excellente. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!
Tout était parfait
The location is very good.
I was put in a very dark room with no windows on the first floor. And I was told that it says on the room description that there were no windows in this type of room. But when I checked, it wasn't written anywhere 😞 I had to pay more money to have a room with a window. Very disappointed 😔😔
Brilliant location. Quiet even though it was in the city centre
Water went slowly down the wash basin
Beautiful decoration and customer care
Reception a bit hiden behind the bar
Friendliness and welcome
We had to wait too long for dinner on Saturday night. We realise that there was a birthday party occasion at the same time.
Very near to where I needed to be each day
The air conditioning in the bar area was far too cold
Leider kann man keine frische Luft in die Zimmer lassen, denn die Fenster sind geschlossen!
Le confort
Pas de parking dans l'hôtel.
I had an excellent stay — genuinely one of the nicest hotels I’ve used in a while. The staff were friendly, the room was spotless, and everything felt well looked after. No complaints at all about the facilities or the service.
The only issue was the bed. It was one of those setups where two singles are pushed together to pretend they’re a double. As a larger chap, I naturally drift into the middle — straight onto the ridge where the two mattresses meet. Not painful, just awkward, and it made for a rather uncomfortable night’s sleep. If the hotel offered a proper double mattress, it would have been a faultless stay. Everything else was exceptional.
The whole experience. From the staff to the rooms everything was perfect
There wasn't anything that we didn't like
Good location
Breakfast that should have been warm was cold, not so comfortable bed
It was an excellent breakfast and staff were polite and helpful. The room was nicely laid out and the overall feel of the hotel was lovely.
The wonderfully restored/repurposed hotel was a joy to stay in. It was perfectly central to the University, where I spent my time over two lovely days. The bedroom was designed to the theme of "Mad Men"perfectly and was spotless.
I'm sorry but I can't even stretch to a minor criticism here. I will return there again and it is a perfect hotel for anyone with business with Coventry Univeristy.
Prime location
Tv not connected to internet
It is easily accessible.
There was no parking
There wasn't any fresh fruit out for breakfast and the orange juice out of the machine was quite watery. I liked the room and the location
Fresh fruit options at breakfast
The staff.
Breakfast was overcooked and sparce Rooftop was advertised as open and was not. Advised to.carry drinks upstairs and no snacks or food.
Excellent Location in the centre
Nothing not to like
The rooms and character of the building seemed quite nice. The rooms were reasonably well appointed and clean. The climate control worked well.
Lack of parking or at the very minimum offloading. The situation is fraught with obtaining a ticket or not being sure where to stop for people unfamiliar with the area.
Nice looking hotel (used to be a newspaper/print house building. Stuff very nice.)
would skip the hotel restaurant (food not so great)
Location
Great location. Rooftop bar lovely bonus
Main bar closed at 10. As we didn't want to have to go out this was disappointing.
