Very comfy bed, okay breakfast and tea/coffee downstairs for a great touch.

The location is not great and a lot of homeless people nearby. If you do not use public transport or taxis, you have to be fit to climb the hills. We love walking so it was okay. Having a mouse in the breakfast room during our morning meal pushed us over the edge. When reported to the staff nobody came to remove it. Disgusting and disappointing so no coming back for us!!!

Il rapporto qualità prezzo è giusto, sicuramente nelle foto pubblicate dalla struttura le camere sembrano più grandi ma per il resto ha funzionato ok. La colazione ok, scelta tra toast, bagel ecc marmellate, burro di arachidi, burro, philadelfia, cereali, uova sode, porridge e banane o mele.

La dimensione del letto era davvero piccola, il mio compagno non ci stava in lunghezza. La posizione è confinante ai quartieri frequentati male ma basta prendere un Uber per tornare la sera e sei tranquillo.

Wir hatten ein sehr kleines Zimmer, was für zwei Leute mit Gepäck sehr eng war. Unser Gepäck mussten wir unter das Bett schieben, damit wir um das Bett rumgehen konnten. Stuhl oder ein Schrank war nicht vorhanden

L'emplacement est très bien et safe. Par contre, la taille de la chambre est vraiment pas adaptée pour deux lit Queens size. Nous voyageons pour 3 semaines donc avec 4 valises et il n'y avait pas assez d'espace. Nous sommes restés 3 nuits, l'hôtel n'a pas pris en compte cela. La salle de petit déjeuner est triste et le petit déjeuner très sommaire. Nous avons fait 10 hôtels au total et nous avons pu trouver mieux et moins chers ensuite. Aucune interaction avec le personnel, ils ne font aucun effort pour échanger. Le restaurant dans l'hôtel, cuisine grecque, est bien et la serveuse était très aimable, ça nous a fait du bien!

Místo je strašné, na ulici bezdomovci, parkování hotel nemá a musíte o dvě ulice jinam do parkovacího domu za peníze a pak pěšky k hotelu mezi bezdomovci, dost hrozné.

The double room was so tiny that you coudne even open two suitcases at once. No room to pass anyone. Probably the smallest hotel room I’ve ever seen.

Geräumiges Doppelzimmer mit komfortablen Betten. Wasser- und Kaffeeekocher auf dem Zimmer. Badezimmer ausreichend groß. Eigentlich gute Lage am Anfang von Nob Hill, relativ nah zum Stadtzentrum. Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Fishermans Wharf und Pacific Heights sind auch zu Fuß erreichbar. Freundliche Mitarbeiter. Frühstück war vorhanden und für amerikanische Verhältnisse okay und gewisser Auswahl.

Wegwerfgeschirr fürs Frühstück. Nur zwei Blocks vom Hotel entfernt beginnt das Problemviertel Tenderloin mit vielen Drogensüchtigen und Obdachlosen. San Francisco wirkt im Stadtzentrum um den Union Square etwas heruntergekommen. Öffentliches Bussystem nicht gut ausgebaut.

Check-in was fast and straightforward, the hotel itself is nice and clean ( I loved the vintage elevator). The room was spacious enough for 4 persons. A little worn-out here and there, but generally clean. I loved the location, walking distance to major attractions and nearly on top of the closest bus station.

The breakfast style, serving and variety-wise was pretty... sad. Coming from Europe, maybe I have expected more, but all-in all we could finally find something to eat. I cannot understand the preference for disposable cutlery and dishes (saw this also in other US hotels), while it lowers the meal experience it's also not environmentally friendly.

Good location , well away from suspect areas and in a nice middle class area, room was exceptionally small but we made do and it was comfortable, breakfast is basic but nice and well topped up for all guests.

Nob hill is a bad neighbourhood with addicted on the streets. The hotel is definitely not a 4 stars, more a 2. Rooms super small. Toilet did not flush correctly. Breakfast very poor with only industrial products. Staff unprofessional. Fitness room was ridiculously small with 2 machines literally and 1 bench. You can only train alone there. Never again! I would not recommend it.

La atención de las personas que atienden la recepción me pareció excelente. El desayuno estaba correcto. Las camas eran bastante cómodas.

Las habitaciones dan contra la calle y las paredes son muy delgadas por lo que todas las noches nos despertamos con gritos de gente de la calle peleándose. No había echufes disponibles adentro de la habitación exceptuando el del baño y el del minifridge (=no había enchufes en las mesas de luz!). Las habitaciones eran muy muy chicas, no había espacio para apoyar cosas, exceptuando el piso. No había dónde colgar las toallas, tampoco dónde apoyar dentro de la ducha elementos de higiene personal (a no ser el piso).

Nice sized rooms, and beds. Close to tram and bus lines. Quiet neighbourhood, but walking distance to trendy night vibe. Excellent Mediterranean restaurant in the hotel.

Good size rooms, very clean and great decoration. Beds very comfortable with plenty of towels and pillows. Staff were friendly. Good breakfast selection. Location was good for accessing different areas of San Francisco. 24 hour reception and the hotel felt safe and secure.

The hotel was great, but at night I would recommend getting an Uber home and not walking. We walked back from dinner and the local area is overrun with homeless people with a lot of drug use. The mornings the road is awash with people half unconscious. If using an Uber, or walking to the Powell and Hyde stop you won't even notice it but just be mindful if like us you have children with you.

The persons at reception were very understanding as I checked in rather late just needed to rest & get organized on my way to airport - gave me very good advice about not parking in tow away period & tried to get the tub stopper for me to take a bath - did not hold water with lever up or down. Thanks! I made it to SFO on time & now in UK!

Bathtub did not work in my room

Great location, clean room and the woman from housekeeping who cleaned our room was lovely. The robes were great, and the bedding was very comfortable.

The front desk staff needs to do better with being more welcoming and helpful. We were tourists. We asked for a map, and the man’s response was, “Sorry we are out of maps.” Ok, that’s understandable, but there was zero follow up about where I can get one. They were not unkind, just completely indifferent. The room itself needed a few things: Much better mattresses Hooks for coats, towels, etc. There was one hook for the robes and a towel rack for the hand towels and washcloths. No place to hang the bath towels. Five or six hooks would have made a huge difference. The breakfast was a bit disappointing as the fruit was sad and they used paper plates and plastic ware. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel that I assume has a dishwasher, so why be so wasteful?

The interior smell of the hotel from the lobby to the elevator to the hallways was so bad I had to mentally prepare myself to enter the hotel. The coffee in the lobby was from an automatic machine that you could push a button and it was so undrinkable. It was laughable. The front desk staff was unsmiling and awkward most of the time. Or just completely silent. The size of our hotel room felt like it was for a doll. The sink in the bathroom was so small. If I stretched out my hand, I could almost touch the wall walls of the sink. I would never stay here again, or recommend it to anyone.

A fürdőszobában nem volt polc a személyes dolgoknak . A szobában nem volt hálózati csatlakozás vagy USB a telefon töltéséhez, egy éjjeli szekrény volt . Környék vegyes összetételű emberekből áll , a sétához nem mindegy , hogy merre indulunk el - kilépve a szállóból balra jobb környékre jutunk . Úgy tapasztaltuk , hogy San Francisco - ban sok ilyen környék van .

Unfortunately, my experience did not match what I expected from the hotel, especially after booking what they call the penthouse suite. My biggest issue was the parking and valet situation. Valet costs $67 per night, but there is no dedicated attendant waiting outside. There are only about two or three spaces available for arriving vehicles, and everyone has to go inside and speak with the single person working at the front desk. That person may already be helping guests check in, so the entrance quickly becomes crowded. Each time I needed my car, the hotel had to call the valet, and it took approximately 15 minutes for the vehicle to arrive. The wait itself was not my biggest concern, but for $67 per night, I expected a smoother and more convenient process. The valet also stops operating after 10 p.m., meaning you are on your own if you return later. Guests should plan their days carefully because quickly leaving for lunch, running an errand, returning, and then heading back out is much less convenient than it would be at a typical full service hotel. My second major concern was the condition of the penthouse suite. I paid approximately $250 per night, so I understand that this was not an extremely expensive luxury suite. However, the photos felt somewhat misleading compared to the room I received. There were dirty footprints inside the jacuzzi, which made me uncomfortable using it. The shower also had extremely low water pressure. The water was hot, but it barely flowed from the shower heads. There was visible calcium buildup, and the shower heads appeared to be long overdue for replacement. The most concerning part was that, once the water began collecting, a significant amount of long hair came up from the drain and began floating around the tub. I do not have long hair, so it was clearly left behind from a previous guest. Those were the biggest issues during my stay. The parking setup and cleanliness of the bathroom made the experience feel less comfortabl

It’s a lovely old building and the staff were friendly. The bed was very comfortable!

The room could have done with more plugs and some USB points. No where to put anything in the bathroom. Sadly on the day we left there was no hot water.

Price was decent, room was clean and overall experience is positive. There is a good parking nearby "SFMTA - Polk Bush Garage". Overnight rate (in after 10PM - out by 9 PM) was only $10.

TV was looked to watch only channels. We are in 2026, let people watch youtube. No accessible plugs around bedroom.

We stayed here just for value and somewhere to wait until our flight in the morning. The place inside is really nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room was really nice.

Only issue is drug addicts in the area outside but this isn’t the properties fault.

So exquisitely unique. Didn’t get to try the restaurant on site but the menu sounded delicious. Loved all of the attention to detail with decor and amenities.

Parking was a bit tough- but that goes with anything in the area. The front desk was knowledgeable about our options and guided us so we wouldn’t get a ticket for incorrect parking.

Unfortunately, there was very little to like. The location was convenient, but that was overshadowed by the condition of the room and the complete lack of support when we raised our concerns.

The room was unacceptable from both a hygiene and safety perspective. The bathroom door was covered in brown splatters beside the toilet, the shower was visibly dirty with apparent mould, and the bathroom had a strong damp, mouldy smell. The toilet cistern was broken, leaving exposed sharp porcelain edges that posed a risk of injury. Most concerning, the bathroom fire sprinkler had been obstructed with what appeared to be paper towel or toilet paper, creating a serious fire safety concern. The room was also poorly maintained. The lights repeatedly flickered, and the soundproofing was so poor that we could clearly hear guests in the adjoining room having a normal conversation, leaving us with virtually no privacy. What made the experience even worse was the hotel’s response. We documented the issues immediately after check-in, showed photographs to reception, and requested to speak with management. We were told the manager was out of town and that nobody else could assist. No alternative room was offered, no attempt was made to resolve the issues, and we had no choice but to leave and find accommodation elsewhere. This was not a matter of minor cosmetic issues or an older property. The room failed to meet basic standards of cleanliness, maintenance and safety, and the hotel’s complete lack of response made the experience even more disappointing. I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Our experience at the Nob Hill Hotel was, unfortunately, one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had. Within minutes of checking into our room, it became clear that it had not been cleaned or maintained to an acceptable standard. The bathroom door was covered in brown splatters beside the toilet, the shower was visibly dirty with apparent mould, and the bathroom had a strong damp, mouldy smell. The toilet cistern was broken, leaving exposed sharp porcelain edges, and the room lights repeatedly flickered. The most alarming issue was the bathroom fire sprinkler, which appeared to have been obstructed with what looked like paper towel or toilet paper. Seeing what appeared to be a tampered fire safety device was deeply concerning and immediately undermined our confidence in the property’s maintenance and safety standards. To make matters worse, the walls offered virtually no sound insulation. We could clearly hear guests in the adjoining room having a normal conversation, leaving us with little privacy or comfort. We photographed all of these issues immediately after check-in and showed the images to reception. We asked to speak with a manager but were told the manager was out of town and that nobody else was available to assist. No alternative room was offered, no meaningful attempt was made to resolve the situation, and we were left with no practical option but to find accommodation elsewhere. Despite being unable to use the room because of its condition, we were still charged the full cost of the first night’s stay. We were refunded only for the unused nights of our booking. Hotels don’t have to be luxurious, but they should be clean, safe and willing to address legitimate concerns when they arise. In our experience, the Nob Hill Hotel failed on all three counts. Based on our experience, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to others.
