Staff are amazing especially with breakfast each morning highchair and cleaning up after ! Location isn’t bad just massive hill with a 1 year old you do get a little work out each time you come home .
Nothing has changed in 10 years from first visit . Cooling in the room was super hot couldn’t work out why the main room would go cold but bedroom hot .
Good room with great view. Clean tidy room. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The Lombardi Restaurant had a limited menu and the quality of the food was average, the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. A 'special' menu one night was very odd to the extent I engaged the wait staff with my criticism. A lasagne was offered with a "special chefs salad". The lasagne platter was served with a little side salad (the usual offer) the salad being in a size of bowl one might put peanuts in? However the special chefs salad was ALSO served in a far larger bowl say at least 200mm in diameter with far wider choice of salad items such as cherry tomatoes. Too much for one, crazy!!
The location is great, staff are very nice.
The air conditioner was too loud, and the bathroom exhaust fan couldn't be turned off. Although the staff helped us change rooms, the noise was still very loud, and I couldn't sleep well at night.
Fantastic hotel. Staff were great and the rooms were beautiful. The best cocktails in town!
Large rooms. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Amazing view from the restaurant.
Lift doesn’t go all the way up. Had to take stairs to the top and drag my luggage no assistance was given. It’s on top of a hill so it’s a long walk upwards. Parking wasn’t free
Location, facilities (well equipped gym), room (comfortable with lovely views) and helpful staff
It is a little on the expensive side- would love to stay with kids (would require 2 rooms) but will probably be out of our price range.
Spacious rooms. Attractive lobby. Good breakfast buffet.
Room overlooked heating vents. Some noise from them at night. Suggest requesting Lakeview room if your budget allows.

Staff great
Bathroom small and shower water pressure
We chose St Moritz for the final stay of our New Zealand trip and decided to splurge, expecting the five-star luxury experience the hotel proudly markets itself as offering. Unfortunately, it fell well short of that standard. Before we arrived, we let the hotel know we’d be getting there about an hour before the standard check-in time and asked if an early check-in might be possible. We completely understood it would depend on availability. When we arrived, we were told our room wasn’t quite ready, but the receptionist said she’d call or WhatsApp us as soon as it became available. We headed out, then returned about 30 minutes later to organise parking, only for another staff member to tell us the room had actually been ready. We never received the promised call or message, nor any acknowledgement that our room was available. It was a small thing, but it set the tone for the rest of the stay. The room itself lacked basic features I’d expect in a luxury hotel, especially in a winter destination. There was no rainfall shower - just a cheap handheld shower head that constantly twisted and sprayed water outside the shower. There were no heated towel rails or heated bathroom floors, leaving towels damp overnight and still wet for the next morning’s shower. The doonas were also surprisingly thin and too small for the bed, making the room feel anything but luxurious. Breakfast was another disappointment. We were told barista coffee was included, only to then find out it wasn’t. The buffet selection was very small, items weren’t replenished (including the Pana Chocolate), and overall it didn’t resemble the breakfast offering you’d expect from a five-star hotel. Cleanliness was also lacking. I accidentally dropped my toothbrush on the bathroom floor and was shocked at how filthy it was. Housekeeping trolleys sat in the corridors throughout the day, and the hallways themselves looked tired and dirty. Parking was another issue.
The location and staff.
Gym too small, low ceilings and not a 5 star standard.
Super friendly staff
Location, facilities, staff
Отличный отель. В центре города, рядом много кафе и набережная. Вкусные завтраки и замечательный вид с балкона .
Location was good
The room layout, heating and amenities was below average. the service both reception, housekeeping and restaurant was below average
Great location, great breakfast and nice staff

Great hotel in a central location of Queenstown. Very comfortable and clean room.

Sorry didn’t have breakfast
We love this property and have stayed in various room categories, over the years. Lovely, views from the bar and dining, love the hot tubs in the gardens and a quiet destination within walking distance of the centre
Missed the fireplace that used to be in the lobby,
Conveniently located 5 min walk from town. Beautiful setup inside the lobby, restaurant and room. Very clean and modern.
Amazing view, wonderful staff and very comfortable room.
Loved everything
Cosy
Felt cold at times though. Especially in the corridors between floors and we would have liked to have experienced the fire in the lobby. Would have added atmosphere and warmth of course.
On-site restaurant was superb. Staff were all welcoming and very helpful
Air Con system was a bit noisey
Great location, friendly staff and lovely welcome. Loved the hot tub garden, I plan to take my family back soon
It was great location, large room that was clean and the service was great!
The hill to get up to it
Great hotel, clean, large rooms, nice service. I had a room with a view but it was just the back garden - couldn’t see the lake but that was the only fault!
Have previously lived in Queenstown but never stayed at the St Moritz - worked at the heritage on Fernhill so it gave me similar vibes, the staff were friendly and customer service, especially housekeeping staff was great I would recommend St Moritz Queenstown to take good care of the staff that do their best to provide the service that’s needed in a high end hotel, I wish the Heritage did that for me instead of disrespecting me and other staff, treat your workers well
Only ambience and location
Staff attitude. No one was accommodating for even simple requests
Great location
Room quality was not up to a 5 star standard
Excellent central location yet quietly tucked away (5 min walk to Ferg Burger and Ferg Bakery etc.) and you get awesome views as soon as you walk 5-10m from the hotel lobby. The room was very clean and spacious, plus the hotel staff were all super friendly and accomodating to any requests including a later check out time.
Nothing - loved staying here.
The room was very clean, had exceptional room service and an amazing view of the lake and mountains.
The fireplace was getting serviced so we were disappointed.
Great Location. Bed was really comfortable
The location and design of the hotel is fantastic but some quality and service aspects let it down badly. Our room was really nice but the badly sealed outside door/window leaked cold drafts and we needed the heater on to compensate. The hotel has an onsite laundry room which was great to catch up after three weeks on the road, $4 for a wash and $4 for a dry. Fortunately the facilities weren't busy because half the machines weren't working. Only one out of 3 washers worked and one drier broken, so 6 machines, 3 broken. On the first night, we tried dinner in the bar. It started well but then two of the staff looking after us went on their break and nobody took their place. The maitre'd spent the evening stomping from one side of the restaurant to the other trying to look busy. The barman spent his evening teaching a new staff member how to make cocktails. It was impossible to summon service for another drink, dessert or simply to clear our table. No wonder there were only 3 sets of customers in the place on a Friday night. This experience and a peek at the reviews for the food meant we steered clear for the rest of our trip. The hotel is fantastic but there's clearly a lack of top down management as many of the staff don't seem to realise it's the guests like us that pay the wages.
The room was large with a wonderful view. I changed rooms because my first room did not have a view of the mountains. Changing was no problem. The staff was remarkable and so helpful. Food was excellent
Everything was great
Extremely friendly staff
Overall it’s a great place to stay
Absolutely lovely hotel - but it does have a short steep hill approach. Room beautiful large and very comfortable with small garden area. Within walking distance of centre of Queenstown. This was a favourite place of ours in South New Zealand
Spacious
Room temperature cannot be adjusted, ie.cold
Great views, fantastic restaurant... Bed was super comfy.
This hotel was amazing! So clean and well maintained. Bed was incredibly comfortable and shower and facilities were great. Beautiful view from both our window and the restaurant. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond for guests. The breakfast buffet and bar were also fantastic. Definitely one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in and would absolutely stay again in future.
Nothing!
The staff were spot on and the property was great
The hill to get to the hotel
The location was very close to wharf area and an easy walk. The view from the balcony was nice.
We were in Room 303 which is directly below the restaurant/bar/kitchen. It was extremely noisy all day until very late into the night. It wasn’t great. I would imagine any rooms in this area would have the same issue and for the star rating and price we would expect better.
Very stylish
Had to ask for milk in the room
Spacious room with a great shower. The option to not have daily cleaning but have vouchers instead, was really appreciated. Reusable glass bottles for water and milk was also good. That view!!
The hill!! Having an interconnecting door to the room nextdoor meant it was noisier than expected for such a peaceful hotel.
Beautifully presented suite, spacious, clean and very comfortable with everything that we needed. The only thing on the downside was that we faced the back of the hotel facing a laneway and adjacent road.
A room with a view! Steep walk up to the hotel!
The personel was amazing, very friendly and well heard, the room was big and the confort perfect
The room was very spacious and the staff were very friendly.
The location was the only challenge as it was uphill grom the lake.
The location was amazing and the staff were great.
Our room was next to some sort of an exhaust fan that kept us up all night. It sounded like a jet engine. We didn’t get any sleep, after a long day of travelling to NZ.
Location was great, room was clean, house keeping did a great job, great dinner recommendations from concierge staff.
For the price we paid an included breakfast would have been ideal. The price we paid for the full breakfast bar was too much in my opinion. We also paid for a room with a view, but a large chunk was of the driveway and roof next door. Every night we were disturbed by bins of smashing glass being filled or emptied directly below our room.
Put in a crap room even after I had emailed the GM.. I am a group GM in the industry, so I write a welcome card to all GMs staying in my hotels.. after complaining that there was no air con in our room we had a room upgrade and an apology card with wine.. nice touch from guests services..
Location
Staff location etc great
The room we had looked straight onto the ramp and all night 2 huge air con motors kept us awake. Would have been nice to know we had a bad room for $500 a night :( I did mention this at checkout but ...
The view of the property was good
Parking. Don’t promise and let customers pay for something you cannot provide
Walking distance to town, excellent views
Nothing
We had a really enjoyable stay at Hotel St Moritz Queenstown Our room was excellent, and we were fortunate to receive an upgrade thanks to ALL Platinum that made the stay feel extra special. The lake views were a real highlight, hard to beat waking up to that in Queenstown. Breakfast was also very good, with a solid range and quality to match. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would happily return.
We had the best experience from the moment we stepped foot in St Moritz Queenstown. Beautifully appointed lobby that reminds us of Swiss Alps resorts and the front desk personnel greeted us warmly and professionally upon our check in. We were staying in the 2 bedroom apartment on the 6th floor and what a beautiful room it was. It was cozy, luxurious and the beds were amazingly comfortable, it was definitely a welcomed respite from our long drive from Ashburton. My boys loved the pillow menu and fell asleep straight away using the lavender pillows. We stayed over the Easter long weekend and the boys were so happy to have Easter Bunny visiting in the middle of the night to drop off some chocolate eggs. The view from the Lombardi hotel was just stunning overlooking Lake Wakatipu, can I just say that Summer the barista makes a mean coffee! We are from Melbourne, Australia, and we are very picky about our coffee but hers definitely hits the spot! The only issue we had was that the shower ceiling height is very low and my husband had to lean back to use the shower, as his head hits the ceiling when he is showering (as the ceiling is sloped down in the shower area), but he is 194 cm tall so a bit taller than the average person. Apart from that, we could not fault anything! Such an amazing place to stay and we look forward to staying at St Moritz Queenstown again in the near future. A big shout out to Gaby from the reservation team for going above and beyond in assisting us with our reservation mishap. Gaby, you are the best and St Moritz is very lucky to have you in their team! I am sad that I didn’t get to see you in person when we were there, but hopefully next time!
Great property by Accor group, situated walking distance from main market. Staff very friendly and caring, special mention Luna, Ata & Alex. Hot tub available for guest and parking available at property. Its a luxury hotel. Great view from Bar and Restaurant.
