Beautiful interior design, gorgeous room with bathroom, fabulous location, professional and helpful staff, freebies each day
Excellent staff and service, with a great location close to town
Nothing, loved it
- Staff are all so friendly, energetic and assistant! - Surprise gifts in the evenings throughout the stay - Free shuttle services taking travellers to the CBD, airport and even elsewhere - When an issue is raised, the staff were able to find a solution swiftly and even gave me a call before I returned to the hotel
We noted the mattress had a dent on one side on day 1, which wasn't very pleasant, but the staff was able to swap it in a short time while we were out on day 2 :)
It feels very lux and unique
Walking distance to town but away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful hotel
Nothing
Room, view and facilities are excellent, also staff are second to none.
Minor quibble needed a workspace in the room.
Everything here is SO AMAZING. Great location, great views from some of the rooms plus bar & restaurant, staff were incredible and were definitely one of the highlights. I know this may not be the cheapest option in Queenstown but it is definitely worth it. Some QT’s in different countries and cities unfortunately do not reach this level, so it’s safe to say this place is what QT’s everywhere SHOULD be like.
Leaving is always difficult!
Εξαιρετικό! Το προσωπικό άψογο, οι παροχές και το ξενοδοχείο άριστα!
Expensive mini bar items- water was $9 a bottle and that was the only available water.
We loved our king suite with mountain and lake views. The housekeeping each day was a lovely touch.
Nothing.
Newly renovated room was lovely with extra daily inclusions which our kids loved (rocks, lolly jars, hot chocolate) and made the stay more special for us, breakfast is wonderful and very friendly chef.
Access to town with kids in very cold conditions wasn't always easy as we often had to rely on walking; more frequent shuttle times from the hotel would help so much.
Room had an amazing view of the lake and mountains, just beautiful to wake up and see that. Room was spacious and had everything you would need. Bed was so comfy, and loved the bath in the big bathroom.
Fit out, decor, food, staff, all of the above...
Renovations however that cannot be avoided. A gym would also be good.
The breakfast was incredible as were the nightly wine/cheese and whiskey and chocolate tasting. Staff were friendly, but didn't seem empowered to help or escalate issues. Bed was amazing as usual with QT.
I.don't think I've ever written a bad review, and this is months after our amazing trip, so let's see: This was our first 3 nights, and more than we're usually comfortable spending, however we splurged because it was our anniversary and a real bucket list trip. The room provided wasn't the one listed on Booking.com... the view was on a lower level and obscured by a large wall and a courtyard that wasn't accessible. It was also right next to a large building site and scaffolding where the hotel was renovating. I brought this up to staff the night we checked in, and were told that was the room and they had nothing else. We went to sleep that night and were woken up by noise and vibration at 8am. I went down to reception and they apologised, but couldn't do anything. I walked into town to buy earplugs so we could have a sleep in, but it was so loud and unreasonably resonant that I couldn't help but think it was a joke. When we were about to leave for the day I checked with reception again, and they said to come back as there might be one other option. Later they showed me the new room (they said they had others but weren't authorised to upgrade based on the room rate we had paid), but again the view was obscured, and the hallways leading to what I later found out was the original QT weren't finished ... skirting boards missing, patched walls,, areas closed off, signs explaining that there were major works underway. There was a big group staying and limited rooms due to the works. We decided not to change rooms, and we had early mornings for the rest of the time, so the noise didn't impact us. The staff left an apology note and a bottle of wine, which was nice. In the light of day we found that the outdoor furniture had its sales tags still on, and there was dried sauce smeared across the peephole of the door (I let someone know, they cleaned it while we were out).
Clean, tidy, professionally fancy
The little surprise and delight moments like wine tastings in the lobby and treats delivered to our hotel room were what made this truly an exceptional experience, the bed was a dream and the location was also great
My check in was delayed by an hour
Very nice n clean
Pillows very hard No bottled water in room was a let down
LOVED our stay at the QT Queenstown! Love the guest experiences - from smoothies and pastries in the morning, cheese and wine and the gin and chocolate tastings. It was clean, staff were helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed ourselves.
No gym onsite. Would love a gym and sauna. Also assistance with luggage would be appreciated especially as we had two little ones with us.
Complimentary snack and drinks
Room abit small
Beautiful renovation and upgrades to the bar and restuarant since our last visit. Very friendly and helpful staff
We had a towel delivered to our room with two large holes in it. We had room service with mains and desert one evening and did not receive spoons for our desert. On more than one occasion we went to use the bar or restuarant and it was booked out for an event so had to leaveour accomodation
Good view. Good breakfast selection. Good facilities. Good minbar etc. Turned down my bed - fancy!!
Breakfast overpriced.
Bathrooms were huge, rooms were modern. Reception with wine and wiskey tasting 24x7. Condiments with different variety at different hour+ free chocolates at night. The best concept ever
Rooms were not clean enough, tables had soo much dirt. Room service left the room 25% done
Stunning finishes. Turndown service is 10/10 Breakfast and wine tasting in the lobby 100/10
Maybe a little bit away from town? But really it was fine. 10/10

Views from the bedroom and the vibe of the hotel
It didn’t bother me as I know about renovation and construction however the QT is currently undergoing a large extension and expansion which has a few changes to exiting the building
Location. View. Well appointed rooms, as you would expect for the price.
Renovating, didn’t see any notification on this. Although guest areas seemed mostly unaffected. Don’t like 10am and 3pm check in. We checked in just before 3pm and had to wait for our room to be cleaned. The staff member checking us in asked what we had planned for the day, at 3.15pm…I said a couple of drinks and dinner…plus pot luck parking on the street, or pay $50 per day
Great location, attentive staff.

We had an amazing stay at QT and didn't want to leave. The little treats we received every night was such a welcome surprise. The staff were all amazing and super attentive taking care of anything we needed. Harry at the front desk/driver was super helpful during our stay. The room was amazing and we had a stunning view of both the lake and The Remarkables.

The hotel’s location and interior are fantastic. The rooms are very clean and the beds are incredibly comfortable.
During our stay, the hotel failed to inform us that they were undergoing extensive renovations. Consequently, all facilities were offline. Furthermore, there was no communication about the concierge relocating to the Esplanade, which made navigation a bit tricky.
Modern, clean, staff welcoming. Treats throughout the day in the lobby. The way the duty manager dealt with our concerns and the remedy offered were on point and what I expect from a property of this standard. The room was excellent ...only problem was the noise from renovations.
Well, we were not informed at the time of booking or after that the property was undergoing major renovations. We arrived late on a holiday Fri...was nice and quiet. We went out early after breakfast Sat at 7am. Came back 930 to the room vibrating to hammer drills, saws and hammering which filled the room. I called reception and the receptionist offeree no remedy. Hoping it was short lived i waited an hour ...it was continuous. I recorded several minutes and caught up with the duty manager. Who, after hearing the recording offered several solutions. To top it all the breakfast was cold....even at 7am. All this was addressed to his credit. I understand the renovations are near completion and I am sure they we will only add to a positive experience. It has not put us off a return visit. But check the situation before booking and if needed see if there is a room away from the renovations. The weekend overall was excellent though
The view was exceptional
Property undergoing renovation hence strong paint odour coming into our room all night Amenities weren’t replaced Bathroom very cold
Beautiful hotel with stunning views of Lake Wakatipu. The staff were so helpful and accommodating and the food choices are excellent.
The lake facing rooms are quite cold and the hotel is undergoing renovation which is causing some minor disruption
Staff ,service and rooms where amazing
Clean , friendly , detailed service
It was very clean. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help. It’s was very central to all restaurants and shops.
Nothing.
The complimentary wine tastings, morning juices and snacks were a nice surprise. The staff were very hospitable - they were always on call and quick to accomodate.
Maybe the $50 / $55 buffet breakfast is a bit of a stretch for hotel customers - it was a nice breakfast but for that price you might as well explore the cafes and restaurants in Queenstown for breakfast instead.
Great staff, comfortable bed
Some building works going on, lack of storage in the room.
I love the QT hotels, always great service and super comfortable for a longer stay. We were upgraded to a larger room as well. I love the comfortable beds and turndown service
They were doing renovations to part of the hotel, so had no pool, spa etc available which was a bummer. We also had to switch elevators to get up to our floor
I felt the level of service was exceptional. The rooms were about $150-$200 cheaper than, as an example, the Sofitel. The room was larger, the service was far in excess of expectations and the location was brilliant. The turn-down service every night was unique and had a local flair. The foyer had provisions for 22hrs per day free of charge. In the morning it was freshly squeezed juice and a pastry or similar, the afternoon had wine tasting and cheese and late there was whiskey and cheese.
The only complaint I have had little to do with the hotel and more that Google Maps directs you to enter off Brunswick Street. If you are using Google Maps for directions, set it to the bus stop at the front of the hotel on Lake Esplanade.

Comfortable Bed and amazing Facilities. The staff were kind and welcoming. The room was excellent and they even offered a shuttle bus into town. Also the hotel has amazing views to wake up to every morning.
Not much we didn’t like about the property. Would note that the property is currently under construction which we didn’t know about. Also when booking a terrace note they aren’t private but a shared terrace with multiple rooms.
High quality, attention to detail and amazing rooms. The staff were so welcoming, and the rooms with lake and mountain views made us want to relax at home!
The service was impeccable could not fault so friendly breakfast was absolutely fit for a King or Queen. Comfy beds, very high class luxe hotel. Views weee the best
There was nothing not too like
Good service and best view

The view.
The fact that you call yourself a 5 star with no restaurant, gym, pool or wellness is a joke. You also didn’t mention that there was construction work happening during the stay and the shower pressure was terrible.
The property is luxurious, clean and modern. the staff were friendly, welcoming, always happy to help. family had a great stay.
Danger to Life and Safety!!! This hotel created a serious safety hazard that put guests’ health and safety at risk. While walking back to my room, I tripped over an obstacle that had been placed in the middle of the corridor. It was around knee height and extremely difficult to see in a dimly lit walkway. Placing an installation like this in a walkway is completely unacceptable and highly dangerous. As a result of this unsafe setup, I dislocated my toe, which became badly swollen, and I had to go to the hospital. This incident cost me two weeks of my holiday. I was unable to walk properly or explore New Zealand because my toe remained swollen and bandaged for more than two weeks. My 20-day trip to New Zealand was ruined. If this had happened to an elderly guest or a child, the consequences could have been far more serious. Someone could have fallen, hit their head on the wall or floor, and suffered a concussion, a skull fracture, or another life-threatening head injury. I would also like to point out that it is extremely irresponsible to place a warning cone behind a door, where it is completely out of sight for anyone approaching from the other side (see the attached photo). It is shocking that a hotel charging premium prices would create such an obvious safety hazard. This is the kind of negligence you might expect from the cheapest hotels-not from a property that claims to provide a premium experience. To anyone considering staying at this hotel: think twice. At the very least, make sure you have comprehensive travel insurance. A stay here could put your health and safety at risk and leave you dealing with a serious head injury. I will continue posting this review on every platform until QT management takes responsibility for what happened. I could have suffered a concussion or an even more serious head injury during a long-awaited holiday, yet QT has accepted no responsibility whatsoever. If anyone from QT management would like to contact me regarding this matter, they can reach me at the following email address: fabianstrzelczyk2@gmail.com Until then, I will continue sharing my experience EVERYWHERE and informing future guests about the negligence and safety concerns they can experience at QT and the lack of appropriate action taken in response to this incident. SHAME ON YOU, QT!
we would have loved a jacuzzi and a gym
Very close to all amenities
Great staff Appartment close to everything you need
Great location and close to town centre with a picturesque view of the lake and snow capped mountains every morning when you wake up. Every day in the morning, afternoon and evening the hotel provides complimentary foods and drinks in the lobby area.
Parking is very limited and quite expensive per night for valet.
The rooms were beautiful and beds super comfortable. The staff were always very helpful.
The in-room menu didn’t have enough healthy options.

Rooms - well renovated, with lots of amenities (including a blue tooth sound system); each twin bed is a generous full-sized queen. Location - close to the heart of Queenstown & walking there along the lake path is marvellous. Staff - friendly and warm Free generous tastings - local wine, cheese whisky and chocolate at different hours of the day and night. F&B - the bar & lounge at the top of the hotel is an incredible spot to sit & work during the day or unwind and catch the sunset, supported with both light snacks or full meal options .
The upgrade is exceptional - accessing from the lake front so much better than the previous entry. Rooms great and well thought out - bed so comfortable. View for breakfast so lovely - making the most of Queenstown views.
My only negative would have been my view out to the street and a little bit more street noise than I would have expected - but didn’t spend so much time in my room, so maybe a bit picky
The property is freshly renovated and the styling is beautiful. The hotel has complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner drink and snack services in the lobby. Complimentary shuttle buses to the city and airport. The room was amazing, bed and pillows so comfortable. They also have Dyson air straight and appliances.
Only downside was that our room was cleaned very late each night. One night our room wasn’t cleaned until 5:30pm.
Location, recently renovated and felt like the price point was very fair.
Ultra modern hotel in fantastic location. Friendly helpful & efficient staff. Very clean.
Hotel was close walk to the main town Comfy room with awesome view of the lake Friendly staff- thank you Bruno for going above and beyond Area by the reception that served drinks and treats was great. Also the treats in the room were fantastic Bar on level 6 had a good vibe Great space for conference
Getting up to the higher levels was confusing (hotel was still being renovated)
The location is excellent, the rooms are large and the staff are incredibly friendly.
Rooms were two hours late to check in, but this was rectified with an offer of a late check out. Ongoing issues with a cold shower were disappointing (evening time).
مريحة في موقع ممتاز مع طاقم عمل رائع وخدمة مميزة
الموقع جيد، لكن النظافة بحاجة إلى تحسين كبير
Overall clean and comfortable.
Confusing instructions between hotel and staff. Shower has low water pressure. Mixer was not functioning properly, resulting in sudden cold water in middle of shower (and that's during winter)!. Hotel is under renovation which can result in noises.
Everything, it was incredible!!
We travelled to Queenstown for our engagement and right from the get-go the staff were so helpful and sweet and went above and beyond to make this weekend the most special weekend. They were so helpful in arranging anything we needed! The rooms were cleaned everytime we left the hotel, everything in the hotel and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food and drinks at the bar/resturant were excellent and the overall vibe of QT in Queenstown was perfect. However, the staff are definitely what sold the stay for us and made this a perfect weekend - massive thank you. We will definitely be back :)
N/A - everything was perfect.
Amazing staff, and amenities. You really feel like you’re looked after.
Amazing location, large comfortable and beautifully enervated bedrooms, generous beds and lots of unexpected lovely surprises: complimentary morning pastries, wine & cheese tastings in the afternoon, whiskey & chocolate after 9pm. We came back one afternoon to find a dark chocolate bar and a bottle of creamy milk for us to make hot chocolate in the milk foamer. How incredible is that? The shampoos, conditioners, bath gels and body lotion also smelled really good. In room sound system and selection of coffee and tea also exceeded our expectations.
I wish the website had been updated to mention the all day bar and food menu on the 6th floor with stunning views (only its breakfast was mentioned), it also didn’t mention the complimentary gym passes at a nearby fitness centre for guests
