Plenty of parking, McDonald’s right next door if you fancy something to eat. Room was big and spacious, bathroom was a let down as a lot of rust and dirt - needed a good clean before using
Stayed for one night before the Waterford half marathon. Room was basic but clean. Staff were helpful, Shariq was extremely kind.
Room was basic but very clean as was the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the temperature in the room perfect. The staff at reception were friendly and check in was easy. We asked for a cot which was very clean.
Don't stay here, there are better options available at a similar price. Very tired and dated with lots of noise.
Clean and conferrable. Very good staff. Good location for my families needs. Plenty of food places near by. Rooms were fairly spacious and beds very comfortable. Parking was very good too. Would use again.
Awe ful room 5 sink very loose. In room with my two grandchildren on route to seeing my family. Needs a good paint. After complaining by email I received a phone call from reception to call them back I actually can not ring Ireland from my mobile phone as I live in the uk. Very over priced only thing good about hotel is free parking. I would spend your hard earned wages somewhere nicer. When I go back to Ireland I will be popping in to speak to the manager if I haven’t gone a little higher before I go back in three weeks time
I was just ok. No air conditioning. Had to ask for fan.
Pleasant stay. Like others have said it's basic but clean, the bed was extremely comfy, and the staff are pleasant and polite. Had no shower gel or shampoo but soap was in a dispenser. The shower head in room 1 really needs descaling. Apart from these few flaws it's was very comfy. But expensive though, but things are these days, would stay again 😃
One of my worst hotels that I have stayed in. The was NO phone, refrigerator, soap or shampoo. A hostel, or tent camping would be better
Very basic for the cost
It's a Travelodge so I'm not going to waste anyone's time or beat around the the Bush. It's clean, the beds are comfy, bathroom spotless, the decor is the same as any Travelodge you've ever been in. Staff in the desk were very, very friendly day. Plenty of parking out front on site. No bar, no breakfast room, no shop, no frills. Ludicrously expensive for what you get, but it does the job.
Room was quiet despite being next to McDonald's the room was fairly clean bathroom wasnt that clean a few hairs on the wall and shower curtain no shower gel in the dispenser the bed was comfortable but the carpets were very dirty so many stains otherwise the place was nice staff were friendly gud location
Family vacation room was fairly clean staff were very helpful had an enjoyable time in Waterford and tramore
Excellent value as always with Travelodge. My first time staying at Waterford and I will definitely be back again. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect and the manager Noel is a nice guy and is very helpful with things to do and see in the area. Safe car parking, a good shower and a good night's sleep is all you need.
Good overnight stay, perfect for requirement.
The price was great, the location was great, the room was quiet, the staff was helpful. The carpet was gross.
Absolutely fantastic welcoming friendly staff. The rooms were well kept. Highly recommend a stay here. Definitely will stay again when we visit next.
perfect
This is a great economical option for a stay in Waterford. The hotel is clean, safe, and welcoming, but keep in mind that you do get what you pay for. There is no lift and the walk to our room was through about 5 different door/passageways.
Probably would not stay here again. Poor location
Great staff
It was overall pleasant experience and I would love to come back. The reception was good and best part is the location.
Close to the town centre and an easy walk (20 minutes). Took our dog with us and there is a park opposite which was good for him to have a run around. Staff very friendly and Shakedown diner did a lovely breakfast
We only used this hotel because it was pet friendly - which it definitely was. Our dog was very welcome. The interior of the building is pretty run down and lousy, but our room was clean and completely adequate. If you are looking for a luxury stay, this is NOT your place, but if you need a safe, clean, dog-Friendly hotel, then I recommend it.
A quick stop off in Travelodge Waterford with the family. Friendly staff and management that helped in anyway they could. We were looking for extra pillows for our kids and it was not a bother to them to help out. Room was clean, beds are comfortable, stay was enjoyable.
I had a great stay at this Travelodge. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short visit. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again!
Had a lovely stay at the hotel. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The staff were really pleasant and helpful on check in. They gave information on where to go in the city for dinner. The hotel was reasonably priced and in a good location. Would stay again.
The overall stay in the hotel was acceptable but the beds were very rough. The staff were good and it's very close to the city
Fittings hanging off the walls in my room.TV mounting wobbly, bathroom grab handle insecure, no soap in shower dispenser. Breakfast facility had ripped seats, no seat on the toilet, no soap, no towels or dryer. Corridors dirty and smelly. On the positive side the bed was ok. Very overpriced and won’t stay here again.
Went 10 minutes before check in time and was told to come back. Beds were not made properly and room was not clean. Most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Not worth the money we paid. Also no air conditioning like advertised.
Helpful staff at front desk
A terrible place, it costs like a five-star hotel, but in reality it is an ordinary roadside brothel. There is mold everywhere in the bathroom, and the extractor fan has probably never been cleaned, I had to clean it myself because the humming was unbearable. All things are shabby and look shameful. 🤢 And the worst thing in this hotel is the manager. The employees are friendly, but you can feel that they hate him. He makes up rules that are not even on the official website and treats customers like homeless people.🤮 I paid 1500€ for 13 nights, and at the end manager told me that I did not respect his hotel🤬
Great location. Fantastic size rooms. Lovely receptionist. Comfy beds.
20 mins walk to centre . 5 mins In car . basic hotel rooms but very clean . Had a comfortable stay. would stay here again as your saving a lot of money in comparison to staying directly in the city. Everything is nearby also . lildl at the back , supervalue and a shopping centre . McDonald's and supermacs next door .
Uncomfortable bed, poor room condition, noisy
This hotel is past its prime, but it is relatively inexpensive and is adequate for a few nights. The room seemed clean and the beds and shower were ok, staff friendly. It was impossible to work out how to adjust the heater and I had to get the (obliging) receptionist to help me. The constant fire doors were a pain with luggage and the corridor smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.
Clean and comfy
Very friendly staff, let me store my surfboards safely overnight.
Excellent location, clean and friendly staff
The staff was very nice. They were painting the facility while we were there and were freshening it up
Fab would use again
We booked this room with our 12 year old son, and the bed he was given to sleep on was a type of camp bed. He said it felt like sleeping on cardboard and was complaining the next day with aches and pains. The other issue we had was that the room was too cold because the heater kept switching off.
We recently stayed at the Travelodge Waterford. We would definitely stay here again. The room was spotless, cosy and very clean. The person at reception was very accommodating and helpful. We would recommend staying here.
Nice and comfortable. Good location
good place to 😴
Stayed for the night as a stopover on the way back home. Basic but did the job. Only complaint would be walls very thin woke at 4.30am to neighbours laughing and talking very loudly.
Pleasant stay, no fuss, polite staff, warm comfortable clean room. Need a taxi as slightly outside city centre but not bad overall
In principle the room was OK although the heaters were poor and you needed to take blankets off the other bed to keep warm although it was close to were I wanted to be
I stayed at the Waterford Travelodge for one night (thankfully!). I’m staying for business so proximity to where I’m working tomorrow was the deciding factor here. I know people might say ‘what do you expect, it’s a travel lodge…’ and ‘you’re not paying much’ …well, my expectations were low before I arrived…I hear you! Sure the bathroom could be cleaner for example - there are stains up the wall that just need wiping away (standards?) However, I do believe that despite being a budget hotel, being able to suitably heat the room through the night of your stay is a basic requirement. I walked into the room not expecting much but it did feel cold as I walked in…so I turned on the rad (of course it was off, it’s a travelodge)… however, the radiator is limited to 2hours max at a time and only to (a supposed) 21degrees (it doesn’t feel like 21 in here!) so I sat with a hot drink and my nose was cold. I mean… c’mon Travelodge, this is crazy! Needless to say, they will not be getting any repeat business! Had I arrived this afternoon and discovered this, I would not be staying. #ridiculous

The hotel is excellent value for a budget stay, very well located. The staff are extremely friendly.
Bedroom furniture is very old. Carpet was very dirty. Bathroom not clean. Very poor condition. not value for money
Very happy with our stay at the Travelodge in Waterford, it's convenient to the city, has great parking and the rooms are quite with comfortable beds. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Waterford, it's a nice hotel.
Clean and quiet, perfect for our trip around Ireland. Food was good only a short covered walk away..
It was a bed for the night that is all no WiFi chargers in room unless you went down to reception Very much needing a freshen up
Very comfortable room and a relaxing experience overall.
Value stay - good for family in overpriced Ireland
Very poor hygiene levels
Close to Everything
Building is dated and had a strong odor. The ceiling in our bathroom showed black colored mold, and the curtains had visible stains.
Property is dated, not bad just to shower and sleep, but amenities are super slim.
Liked that at was walkable to downtown. Comfy beds. Took along time to get cold water. Good supply of instant coffee/ tea. Shake Dog, restaurant chain, location was awesome. Great deals! Missing a do not disturb sign. Only one chair for Two people, suggestion would be side table with chair...can always move the desk chair over to the table.
Front staff was nice.
Its a place to sleep
Stayed for 2 nights. The Travelodge was in a good location for us in waterford.staff were very professional. A very good American Diner next door. i will stay again when in ireland.
Room was hot and only one window had a working open latch, and how much it could open was limited. Also lots of outside noise and smokers, so sleeping was challenging. Will not stay here again
Staff friendly and helpful
Bad location, dated property
Mold on the ceiling and curtains in the room
Would definitely go back next time i need accommodation.
Very helpful staff. Spotless room. Nice to have tea and coffee in the room!
I had to cancel my holidays after first day
.
As expected- clean, quiet and farther then downtown than it seemed - it was very dated and very BLUE
The guy who checked us in - we arrived quite late about 9.30 was best thing about it and comfy bed apart from that terrible. Needs a lot of tlc. Air fresheners etc so fusty. By sons said it was like a nursing home . We’ve been to loads of t lodges snd done better then 4 star hotels this very poor
The most grim Travelodge I’ve ever stayed in. We were booked in for 3 nights but checked out after the first night. When we arrived there were old carpets all over the car park. The hotel is obviously being used as a social housing centre. I think this should be communicated to holiday makers. The rooms are sparse. Not even a hairdryer . For €133 per night room only, it’s hardly budget hotel prices. Would not recommend.
We had contacted the hotel before arriving & requested an easily accessible room as we are both disabled. The room assigned was a fair distance from the entrance which was not suitable but the staff were brilliant & went out of their way to help. It was very unfortunate that the hotel was full of immigrants that my husband & I found very intimidating. If this is a policy of Travel Lodge then it would be only fair to inform customers. The whole trip was ruined even though the manager & staff were as helpful as they could be.
Parking was perfect and within walking distance to Waterford city
A light outside the window came on and off regularly and the hours for the breakfast weren't early enough for our plans.
Look it’s a travel lodge and so whilst you expect it to be basic you also expect it to be clean. The floors had not been hoovered since the previous quest and were there dirty. It then makes you question what else hadn’t been cleaned.
Nice location, friendly reception
Room was adequate, very clean as was the bathroom, not too many healthier options food wise,a lot of fast food restaurants
It represents value for money
Hallways were dirty. No hair dryer in room
This was a good value - a clean, comfortable room not too far from the historic part of Waterford.
Roasting warm room, very uncomfortable hard bed and only one pillow. Sink was blocked, stains on carpet and bird droppings all over the windows. Not overally safe either aa anyone can walk into the hotel without being checked. A place to lay your head and thats about that really. Charging 135 euro a night and providing mcdonalds surgar for your tea topped off the stay.
I had booked a family room for £150 , when I got to the room, it was not adequate for my family to stay in. Very very small. Basically it was a just an ordinary room with extra camp beds put in and called a “family room”.it was falsely advertised as a family room. We cancelled straight away and was told I would be refunded my money, we found the staff helpful.
Parking lot right in front of the hotel I had a nice little restaurant real close to Hotel
Good for the price.
Beds and pillows not at all comfortable. No decent restaurants within walking distance
Staff were very attentive and helpful.
Was fine for a night. Expensive for what it was but still the cheapest in the area.
Basic accommodation. One hallway stank, thankfully not the one we were in. The rooms are spacious and clean enough but the beds are hard.
No hot water but informed about it before checking in by staff who were extremely apologetic. Rest of stay was grand.
Friendly staff, basic room, clean and adequate for the price I paid. I did not feel secure in my room as there was no chain for the door and I could not lock the door from the inside.
The room was terrible. It's like we were sleeping outside. The bathroom has mold on the ceiling. After 4 nights, I'm completely bitten with bedbugs. The biggest disappointment from the hotel!!
Room smelly not very clean, curtains with stains, kids beds without mattresses. We got two paper cups for 3 of us for coffee and tea. Not recommend for families! More like workers hotel! I don't know how they manage to get 3 stars!
This hotel is not suitable for disabled guests. Had to go through 5 or 6 doors to get to our room. None of the doors could be opened by a person in a wheelchair. A person in a wheelchair would not be able to exit on their own in an emergency.
The shower head was loose and there were no instructions on how to use it. The then necessitated standing in the bath trying to decipher what each tap did. The overall cleanliness of the bathroom was poor and badly needed to be deep cleaned
You get what you pay for. Not much in the way of comfort or amenities but a bed to sleep in and clean enough facilities
