When I showed up, there were two police cars out front of the hotel. The police were in the hotel. There was no staff around when I went in and looked around and noticed that you can't check in till 4 PM. The reception area was dirty with stuff all over the place so if that’s how they keep the front of the hotel I can’t imagine how well the rooms are kept clean.. I didn’t feel safe in the area, which is the reason that I didn’t stay at the hotel that evening

i like the food beside the village inn! its was called a crossroads restaurant. good job for the service, tge quissadilla is really good and theyre soup is perfect! i want to go back there again. thank you and we appreciate the service!

The room was a great size, very clean.

The new locks on the doors are a keypad, it was a pain to put in a 7 digit code everytime you wanted to open your door. Would have preferred a key card. The bathroom sink and toilet did not drain very well, but were still able to be used.

Lock with password need to be punched manually and I got one not working even it said unlocked, had to go down and asked staff help. End up with opened another room. The room we got is still like unfinished renovation with wires wrapped with tape, wall with filler waiting for paint. Feel lack of standard. Staff refused to open even a little earlier we got there 3pm and was told 4pm to check in when showing website shows 3:30pm check in, reluctant to check in for us. Staff refused to let you to check in even earlier a few minutes with excuse of room is not in the cleaning, which is just a lie. When complaining with the room condition the staff said we can cancel it but since we have already been in the room and can only refund partially. Be very careful booking in this hotel.

Was not clean and tired looking, door stuck trying to open. The door closer arm was broken. The towel rack in bathroom was broken and barely hanging in place .

Room had old rotten food in the fridge window and screen had been replaced with cardboard and duct tape that had failed (air conditioning installation) Curtains were short one panel, couldn't block out the light. Tub was dirty. Won't go back

When I prepaid for my room I got there and they would not accept my visa debit card for deposit. Which I found strange as everywhere else does. Then I asked for my money back and he said I had to go through booking which I did. Booking told me the hotel had to approve the refund. Which he told me otherwise. I have been waiting for days. Even emailed twice.

It was under construction. We had no water for part of the night.

The staff were amazing, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

Carpets in halls were filthy and need vacuumed. Room was not the cleanest. Slept in shirt and pajama pants sheets looked dirty but I was too tired to care. Went to have shower in morning and no shampoo

Wifi you could say was non existent, the tv had no cable. Heating was loud , room was like being in a dungeon little window,bathroom room was very small and the exhaust fan was loud and not very good at all

Comfortable, clean, and quiet place. It’s conveniently located close to the border and highway. The front desk staff was very kind, helpful, and even gave me a free upgrade, which I really appreciated

not well maintained, little staff, stayed there a week - they aim for the least amount of service possible. having to beg for toilet paper at midnight is a low point of travels in canada. I would not recommend and will never return

Staff was very accommodating and very pleasant and helpful. 1st room on 2nd floor would not open...so I was given a room on the 1st floor..and it was clean.

The rest of the Inn was very shabby and the carpets in the 2nd floor hallway was filthy!! Also no breakfast.!

Nothing the employee at till smelled terrible of weed and repeated multiple times that means to me that he was under the influence of just weed March 1st I paid by credit card of ODSP And he rejected me by physically pushing me out though I am trying to get away from my abusive ex and I strongly believe that funny business going on as I saw him siding with known criminal addicts and I have recites but still treated terrible

The food in the restaurant was excellent.staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The staff was very friendly. Seems to be family owned. Lots of children at work with their parents, not a positive or negative.

There wasn’t a “hot” breakfast. One apple in the bowl, minimal spoons for yogurt, you could make toast or bagels. The heat was broken in my room, gave us a space heater and we had the adjoining room, so blasted their heat and kept doors open until bed time. It wasn’t very clean, a bit dingy.

Multiple issues with key to room. Bathroom had nick out of toilet seat. Bathtub had chunks out of and looked like mold on bathroom wall. When I pointed this out, I felt we should have been given another room. I have lung issue and this made me very uncomfortable.

I came for work at the courthouse across the road and the location was good.

The hotel was no nice, smelled very bad and disgusting. My floors were sticky upon checking in, there were stains on the walls and the chair and my bedsheets were never changed once during my 5 day stay.

There was no breakfast, which sucked, But the room we had was awesome. People

Easy to find. Would be ok for a single night stay.

Unfortunately, the key cards had to be fixed all three days we were there. There were 4 dead yellow jacket wasps on the floor by the window and we killed 3 more. Not a good experience for someone that is allergic to stings. The room was not touched after the first night but was done up after the second night. Bed was made, used towels taken away but only one towel was left. Hard for the second person to have a shower with only one towel.

Breakfast was good. Staff was helpful. bed served it's purpose . Firm girl friend comfortable on it

Air conditioning in the room did not work, struggled to cool the room to 25 degrees. Bed frames are barely keeping mattresses off the floor. Taps dripped all night. Carpets are dirty and stained in the common hallways, there is no elevator and the food in the restaurant for breakfast is burnt and inedible.

Staff was very considerate and helpful, but the air conditioning in the room was intermittent and constantly turning on and off.

Good location. Bathroom not clean , hair all over the floor. Air conditioning not effective and very loud. Price point too extensive for its condition.

The property itself was convenient as far as location and places to go for meals. The breakfast included with the stay was quite good and no issues there. Unfortunately the restaurant on site is closed on the weekends so we had to go out to find other places to dine. My main issue was finding out the air conditioner didn't work. When we arrived and checked in, we turned it on and went out to tour around. When we came back it was then we found out the AC had not been working and the room was terribly warm. When I went down to the desk to let them know the lady basically told me there had been other complaints and she had been trying to get ahold of maintenance but had been unable too. Rather than suggesting a move to a different room she said I could complain to Expedia for a refund and we could go to another hotel... I don't think I am about to pack up at 8pm and try to find another hotel. Not sure I would go there again.

The A/C did not work in the 6 rooms that we booked. Staff could not help with the temperature 31 degrees it was a hot sweltering night.

Room and hallway were very hot, AC in the room couldn’t keep up. Our key had to be reprogrammed every time we left the room. The girl at the front was nice though !

Nothing, we stayed there 6 years ago and nothing like it used to be.

Outside didn't look like the photos, looked like an abandoned building, lobby was not bright or clean, rooms were terrible, hot and dirty, was not inviting at all, broken table and dirty towels left on the coat rack, fridge didn't work, smelled like stale cigarette.....more then that was wrong.....and that was the first room, second room, air conditioner did not work and it was over 30 degrees outside, smelled bad...with my health condition could not stay in that motel, I would not recommend to anyone. Stayed there about 6 or 7 years ago and it was a beautiful motel I wanted to go back, not anymore! Now we haven't got our refund, and the owners are not responding to anything, we have been ghosted by them. Not how a business should be acting, overheard a conversation on the phone telling potential customer " all our rooms are nice"...

The Carpet in the Corridor is smelly it makes nesty smeel in the room. Poor response of staff when a suddn power outage occerd at my room.it took 1hour waiting to fix.

Property was a basic clean simple hotel. Very quiet, we didn't see any other guests. The gal in charge of the restaurant and bar was nice enough to reopen the bar both nights we were there to pour us a night cap. Thanks again!!

The hotel is in a great location. Central point for getting around Sarnia. Easy in and out. The staff was friendly and check-in/out was easy. Breakfast was decent. The hotel could use some TLC. Carpets in hallways looked dingy and dirty. The floor in our room was dirty... Not lying visible with the dark plank flooring but barefeet and socks collected all the dirt and dust. Either the room didn't have ac or it wasn't working. With some love, renovations, and new updates, this hotel could be excellent.

The room was clean and neat. Curtains did not completely fit the window to block the light.

Hotel smelled musty. Men’s Restroom next to closed hotel restaurant had 2 urinals out of order and 1 toilet missing. Smelled bad. Room air conditioner was not very cool.

The air conditioning did not work in our room and it was a very hot/warm night. In the morning we were going to make in room coffee and the water reservoir in the coffee maker was disgusting, scum was floating on the top of the water. Very disappointing. Front receptionist was told about these two issues and I showed her a photo of the coffee maker.

Although we were after breakfast hours, the manager took us into the area and offered us coffee and anything still available. So a muffin or biscuit with juice or coffee were welcome to us as we eat very little in the mornings.

I use a cane and walking is difficult. I found the distance to our room a little far. At least no stairs.

Property is decent..rooms are old and beds are kind of comfortable. The AC in our unit wasn't working but they offer to change rooms byt we have only one night left and with the window open felt ok. Breakfast is ok..pancakes, eggs and sausage..some muffins and yogurt. Staff was very friendly and nice

Would not recommend staying here till summer as there was no heat in the building.The room was 66 F.They had switched to air conditioning.Went for breakfast and the host was huddled in front of a little electric heater.They should have at least notified guests before hand that there was no heating.Over all a chilly stay!

On a busy main street, limited onsite parking - most of the parking is overflow across on a side street. Decor is old and bathroom space is a bit tight.

Not many options for those with dietary constraints.

Walls needed some repair. Wallpaper peeling and drywall mud inexpertly applied. Some of the guests were pretty rowdy on night 2.
