Large rooms, great bathroom, breakfast very good.

1. The mirrors in the room were in the wrong places and not sufficient light - therefore putting on makeup and shaving was difficult 2. The large windows were unable to be locked therefore the room would be easily accessed 24/7 from outside. Not an acceptable situation

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood, very close to the bus station, that takes you direct to city center, or by foot will take arround 30 min. Breakfast was very good (good to try scotish breakfast).

The room and bathroom are pretty small.

Stank van uitwerpselen in de zitbank in het restaurant. Beperkt ontbijt

Ligging was prima. Met bus binnen 10 min. in centrum Edinburgh.

Kamer was erg klein, ontbijt was redelijk. De koffie heel slap en er werd bij het buffet niet aangevuld als iets op was. Personeel was de ene dag vriendelijk en attent en de dag er op was er ander personeel en die was minder vriendelijk en attent. Personeel achter receptie was wel vriendelijk.

Super nette Dame an der Rezeption die uns tolle Tips gegeben hat. Würde jederzeit wieder hinfahren. Wirklich super - auch die Anbindung an den öffentlichen Verkehr.

Manque évident d’entretien, moquette sale, table de nuit sale, joint de salle de bain noir. Extrêmement bruyant parking d’un côté, aucune isolation phonique, clients qui entrent en pleine nuit et qui hurlent dans le couloir. Porte de salle de bain vitrée avec un jour de 10cm en bas, aucune intimité, pas de brosse de toilettes.

Hôtel très agréable, plein de charme. La réceptionniste était très chaleureuse et pleine d'humour. Mention également particulière pour le breakfast, royal

Im Restaurant werden 12,5 % automatisch auf die Rechnung gesetzt als Trinkgeld, finde ich frech. Das würde ich gerne selbst entscheiden. Der Service und das Essen im Restaurant würde ich nicht mit sehr gut bewerten, an zwei von drei Abenden mussten wir nach dem Servieren des Essens darauf hinweisen dass wir Besteck zum Essen benötigen ....bei den Preisen würde ich erwarten dass alles entspannt und unkompliziert von statten geht.

Breakfast was lovely, a full scottish. Room was small but had everything we needed and was quiet. Location was amazing, 5 minutes walk to the Murrayfield Stadium.

If you are being picky the windows are single glazaed and the road traffic noise would upset some, but we didn't mind it really.

Bushaltestelle ist sehr nahe gelegen und so gelangt man problemlos in die Innenstadt. Das Frühstück war okay - auch frische Speisen sind im Angebot.

Man merkte leider die Erschütterung in den oberen Stockwerken, wenn ein Bus durchfuhr. Beim Frühstück waren manchmal keine Teller vorhanden und mussten extra bestellt werden. Halt viel junges, nicht professionelles (meine Meinung) Personal. Bad wurde nicht täglich geputzt und WC Papier nicht immer aufgefüllt. In der Dusche war nur eine Regendusche vorhanden; ist mühsam so zu duschen mit langen Haaren, wenn man die nicht täglich waschen möchte.

Good communication before staying, we were able to get a room on the ground floor after realising there is no elevator in the hotel. The services are good. Despite a bit far from the city center, the transportation is quite convenient.

Just in case that there is no AC in the room and hence one might need to be careful during summer. But for our stay in late August, the temperature was good.

We stayed in a junior suite and it was nicely decorated and spacious. Bed was large and comfy. It is on a busy road and you can hear traffic even though windows are well-damped. Not a big deal with ear plugs. We had a great meal in the restaurant one night but then had a terrible experience for breakfast the following morning! There's a couple of nice cafes close'ish (Dine and Coco Bean). We appreciated the nice touches with Nespresso and Tunnocks each day. Bus into town was super-easy to take.

It seemed a bit pricey in comparison to other cities we've been to. On-site parking is extremely limited.

Reception staff friendly and helpful & restaurant staff. Would of been 5star but the girl on breakfast shift (25/8) clearly doesn't want to work, has no people skills and an attitude that doesn't belong anywhere in hospitality. This 1 staff member let the whole team down.

Quite warm and room on road side so having windows open required ear plugs for sleep.

The staff was nice. The hotel had parking. The hotel had on premises bar and resturant.

The photos did not show the huge pop up tents to either side of the hotel the hotel uses as a beer garden, which elimates most of the parking, which casued staff to park directly outside our window, waking us before 7am. Hotel owners seem to be trying to run the place as something other than just a good hotel to the detriment of their guests.

Great location for bus line or taxi into city. Very close but outside city limit so more affordable. Big family room was nice, but shower and bathroom not optimal. Frosted glass doors only lent for little privacy with more teenage kids. Bathroom also was right at entry door. Mini fridge was really too small for much and really didn't keep things very cold. During heat wave while we were there, the lack of ac was a problem. Requested and supposedly booked taxi didn't show for an important early booked tour. Staff was great at customer service recovery of getting a taxi for us for immediate service, but a lot of added frustration/stress at the beginning of a long day. If not for those minor things, they would rate a 4 or 5 with us, but it was not an optimal stay and not all on them.

We booked a luxury room and a standard room. Only the luxury is worth it! the standard is so small u can hardly stand in it! The luxury is huge!!!

The location was very convenient to Edinburgh. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the attached restaurant was very convenient.

It was a warm summer in Scotland during our stay, and although it’s not very common in these older buildings, some air-conditioning or a fan would have been helpful to keep the air moving. It was a little pricey, considering the size of the rooms. We also found the food at the restaurant to be very tasty, but also a little pricey.

Tolles Zimmer, schönes Bad, sehr schöner Frühstücksraum mit leckerem Frühstück. Parkplatz direkt am Haus und ebenfalls eine Bushaltestelle 50 m vor dem Haus mit regelmäßigem Busverkehr in die City. Immer wieder sehr gern und in jedem Fall sehr zu empfehlen. Ein Hotel mit sehr viel Charme.

Bed could have been a little more comfy considering it was a luxe room

Wir waren im Nebenhaus in der JuniorSuite untergebracht. Wunderbar alt-englischer Stil. Großes Zimmer mit großen Betten, wunderbar weicher Matratze, Kaffee und Tee-Bar, Minibar, großes Bad mit Dusche und (!) Wanne. Alles sehr sauber(!). Sehr gute Pflegeprodukte im Bad. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker… kleine Auswahl als Buffet und gutes typisch englisches Frühstück als Menü wählbar. Auch das Dinner sehr lecker, vielleicht etwas klein ausfallend für den Preis. Das gesamte Personal sehr aufmerksam und sehr höflich und freundlich! Schöner Biergarten in der Front. Genügende Anzahl von Parkplätzen hinter dem Hotel. Das Hotel liegt 50 m von der Bushaltestelle entfernt. Perfekt! Mit mehreren Linien ist man innerhalb von 15-20 min im Zentrum. Die Busse fahren alle 10 min(!). Also… wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden beim nächsten Edinburgh-Urlaub dieses Hotel wieder buchen!

Mein Mann und unser Sohn waren im Haupthaus untergebracht. Deutlich kleineres, aber trotzdem gut ausgestattetes Zimmer. Leider sind die Fenster nicht zu öffnen!!! Das ist in einem kleinen Raum schon nach kurzer Zeit sehr unangenehm. Keine steuerbare Klimaanlage! Nur Ventilator im Zimmer!

Room was on the third floor and really hot. This could be dealt with by placing a fan in front of the window but the fan cord wasnt long enough to reach the outlet. I asked fot an extension cord but staff couldnt find one. I was told when we checked in thst breakfast was not included. So i did not eat breakfast because i would only est domething light. When we checked out they said breakfast was included. This hotel could do better

Lovely afternoon spent in The Bothy staff were attentive food was very good and price was as expected I appreciate it was a quiet Saturday considering it’s opposite Murrayfield Stadium with no rugby/concerts on and we probably wouldn’t have gone but we will definitely be back again

The Murrayfield Bothy has a great beer garden and plenty of outside space if you get in early to avoid the queues. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However the portions of food in the restaurant were far too small.

Stayed here whilst attending Luke Combs concert at Murrayfield. Great location and a lovely hotel. Lovely welcome from the lady on reception. Room was nice. No air conditioning but they had put a fan in the room, it didnt do much but nice they thought of it. Bed was the comfiest ever and we both slept so well. Couldnt fault the cleanliness either or the little extras in the room. The only thing that made this a 4 star review instead of a 5 star was the attitude of two members of staff (was unable to get names). One worked in the restaurant/bar area who felt it appropriate to interrogate us about why we were there, we were having a drink whilst waiting to check in. Second was a gentleman who was at the door, could possibly have been a manager who decided it was okay to have a go at us about the fact we didnt have our wristbands on to show we were staying in the hotel. I get this was for security but we are neither 5 year olds waiting to go on a bouncy castle or needing chastised as such. We had the wristbands in our hands and our room cards to show we were staying. There should be an easier way of doing this than making people wear residents to show they are guests.

Went here for food and drinks before the Luke Combs event at Murrayfield. Service was 10/10 and went with the theme of the show. There was live music and marquees outside to get everyone going before the show. Would definitely recommend and perfect place for before a concert!

The staff was friendly and the location has a good and walkable connection to Edinburgh city. The free parking is also a very useful extra for those who travel by car.

Our tipp to all travellers who wish for a happy and hygenic stay in Edinburgh: take your money elsewhere or prepare to request a refund after staying here. Our three night stay at the Murrayfield Hotel was truly one of the most unhygenic hotel stays we have ever had. We stayed in the Cozy Room at the Murrayfield hotel for 241€ per night. The room was absolutely filthy, including a carpet covered in large stains throughout the whole room, a headboard full of dust, grime and stains, multiple hairs in the shower and a stained bedframe. Everything was run-down and looked like it had not been seriously cleaned in ages. Employees were seen folding fresh towels on the floor in the hallway. This stay would have not been worth 70€ a night. The pictures on their site are not representable of the state that this room was in. Absolutely disgusting and an audacity to offer such filthy, run-down rooms at those absurd prices. This place is not worth what they charge. If you nevertheless decide to stay here, make sure you refuse to stay in a room at the back of the hotel, as you will be woken up between 6 am and 7 am every day by loud noises from the yard, glass being thrown out and people talking loudly.

Lovely hotel, beautiful old building. The inside has a french country feel. Very clean. Friendly staff. The hotel has a very nice restaurant that serves delicious food.

Lunch before rugby @ Murrayfield. Staff very aware that kitchen would be very busy as it is peak time just before the rugby, and staff very good at getting all orders in asap. Food was ok, ambience was great. Very nice experience.

Todo en general, viajamos en familia. Estuvimos en una suite, habitación muy amplia, baño doble, camas muy cómodas. Ubicación en autobús cerca del establecimiento a 5 minutos te lleva y trae directamente al centro. Autobuses también para llegar y volver al aeropuerto directos también. Desayuno tipo bufet y a la carta sin coste adicional.. se divide en varios edificios pero pegados unos a otros. Tiene un pequeño restaurante y cerca una taberna.. personal muy amable. Wonderful staff and amazing food. Very comfortable seating area to watch the World Cup. I would highly recommend to tourists that want to experience an authentic, warm and safe Scottish gastro pub experience without the crowds that the city centre offer and it is only a 5 min bus journey from the city centre. It ticked all the boxes for an enjoyable evening.

Ліжко було фантастичне.Постіль на вищому рівні. В кімнаті були халати, кімнатні тапочки, утюг, чайник та смаколики( як комплімент від готелю) нам дуже сподобалося. Хоча кімната маленька 8м було комфортно. Чудовий сніданок та дуже красива територія. Повсюди квіти та витриманий шотландський стиль. Добратися до міста дуже зручно, поряд зупинки автобусів та легко викликати таксі. Також нам сподобався персонал, всі дуже вічливі та приємні. Тому можу рекомендувати готель. Всім гарного відпочинку ❤️

Була дуже маленька кімната, а душ взагалі міні. Якщо хтось більше ніж 90 кг ви туди не зайдете. Все було чисто окрім люстри та витяжки в ванній, багато пилі яка злітала шматками.

We stayed in the House, and were upgraded on check in. The room was perfect and very comfortable! Easy parking and convenient access to transit to get into city center. Also, had a delicious meal our first night at the Bothy… we wished we could have stayed longer!

The staff!! Loved the location and accessibility to the city. The room was really big and the bathroom was really nice! Loved the space and it looked the part.

The bedroom would have been something quite special before it the wear and tear. There were definitely elements of that. I think the room could have done with a makeover, but it was definitely clean and looked great if you ignored a rip in the curtains and the ripped fabric hanging down from below the ottoman bed chair. I’d stay again, it just needs a wee revamp. The Bothy restaurant served me Bacon, Chips, formed egg and dehydrated peas instead of the “Thick Cut Wiltshire Ham blah blah blah”…. sent it back.

The location was ok, bus stop is pretty close . Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was ok too ( had to wait about 40 min for it , but we were not in a rush). Bed was nice size and very comfortable.

Our room was on a top floor, there is no AC in a room, only small fan available which is not enough for a size of the room. It was very stuffed, no air especially at night. Shower is tricky to use ( it’s hard to turn it on , was not working at first). Carpet is quite dirty . All the furniture have got marks and stains, the wardrobe was crooked on one side , toilet seat and shower tray have got marks as well, need replacement.

I have just arrived home from having a meal with my husband and grandaughter. The meal my grandaughter got was fish overcooked with4 large burnt chips . I had a salad which was poor to say the least . Because i had taken my grandaught there last summer holidays we persevered and ordered her the berry sundae . Which she remebered from last year . After a 15 minute wait i asked how long it was going to be till it arrived ,the young lady arrived back and threw down a sundae glass with ice cream and a strawberry cut in half , no whipped cream no chocolarw sauce or crushed nuts as advertised . It cost me £4.50 for this desert!! When i went to complain and asked for the duty manager , the young lady who served me said she was the duty nanager and told me , we have been trying our best . Its been really busy !!!!!! This is the worse £67.00 i have spent on awful badly presented tasteless food. I will be sharing my experiece omplain i asked for tge duty manager

Our room didn't get cleaned on the last day and although i wasn't overly bothered i went and asked the reception to make sure they at least came back with some water for the night as we were meeting guests in Edinburgh and wouldn't be back until late and were disappointed that there was no water in our room when we returned. I thought the food was borderline expensive for the quality of it as most restaurants in central Edinburgh were cheaper and better quality food .we asked for a Caesar salad without Anchovies which is how it came but they had literally just removed the anchovies from what we can only assume was a premade salad as it was soaked in anchovy flavour
