The location was excellent for us. The staff were kind and welcoming. The room was spacious.

On the first morning we had breakfast in the hotel. The food was great but quite pricey and the service was extremely slow. On the following days we found other options nearby. The mattresses were worn out and too soft.

En tant qu européen, ne sourtout pas payer par carte de crédit !!! Ils reservent un montant en début de séjour et se payent via une autre réservation au check-out. Résultat, vous avez 2 fois le montant du séjour réservé réserve votre carte de crédit. Le montant réservé au check-in est libéré au check-out MAIS il faut jusqu'à 30 jours pour que cette libération soit effective sur une mastercard européenne. Le pire c est su ils trouvent cela complètement normal ! Bref, je déconseille fortement pour leur gestion de votre carte de crédit.

Location was central to McGill campus and downtown core.

Air conditioner was loud and broken. When asked for assistance from the front desk, they sent up someone who examined the issue and stated nothing could be done essentially since the motor was already running on low. Long-story short, air conditioner went out during the night. The handyman also found the bathroom lock was broken, and fixed it. Room was in rough shape.

The Omni team were responsive to my pre-booking questions and I appreciated their flexibility in accommodating the changing needs of our family. It was a very busy weekend at the hotel and the staff were courteous and professional. The added bonus of being able to secure the reservation while also not paying until the end of the stay was very helpful!

For what you pay to stay the rooms and getting run down. Still fine but for cost would expect more and need an update. I was in 2 different rooms recently and both times same thing. I’ve been coming for at least 10 years at your hotel many times and rooms used to be better which would be fine if rates to stay weren’t that high.

The room is very tired. Bathtub is not good for seniors and was chipped. No mat or bars for safety in the tub. Bed and pillows were great. Bar was excellent service and product. All staff were great. Just tired environment.

Nous avons apprécié le standing de l'hôtel (ascenseur magnifique). Le personnel est accueillant en général (même si cela n'était pas forcément homogène entre tous les réceptionnistes) La literie est de qualité et en plus de taille supérieure à nos attentes Les chambres sont très bien dimensionnées et offrent une vue imprenable sur la ville. La localisation est superbe et dispose d'un parking. Nous avons été accueillis avec des bouteilles d'eau offerte et à la réception il existe également des fontaines à eau citronnée à disposition

Dommage que le logement ne dispose pas de câble USB C pour pouvoir charger les téléphones. Nous avons pu cependant emprunter un adaptateur à la réception. Le sèche cheveux n'était pas si facile à trouver ;)

A friend and I stayed in the premier double room on the 30th floor. The location of the hotel was great for our weekend trip and made it easy to get around. The hotel itself was beautiful and our room had all of the amenities we could need (desk, fridge, iron, hair dryer, etc). The view from the room was beautiful and there were plenty of great spots to eat and explore nearby. The in hotel restaurant was amazing as well, we went for breakfast. Would stay here again.

The staff was excellent- especially the concierge Nadia and Veronica Who were both very personable and helpful!

The bed could’ve been a little more comfortable on my back and the room had a bit of a stuffy smell. Otherwise everything seem clean. Also, our television didn’t work… It could’ve been no battery in the remote, but we didn’t bother having someone come fix it.

The hotel was wonderful, beginning with its amazing and attentive staff to the beautifully appointed rooms and comfortable beds. We did order room service, and it was executed to perfection. Thank you for a great stay in Montreal. The location cannot be beat -- right in the center of the city, across from McGill and lined with stores and museums.

The service from the hotel was amazing. The concierge, Veronica and the front desk crew were very attentive to any requests we had. Veronica recommended a couple of restaurants and they were amazing. The room was comfortable and the mountain view was spectacular.

The tv in the room was not a smart tv. There were only a few channels and I really didn't like the tv situation at all. The room needs renovated. I stayed at another hotel that was older and recently renovated and it was amazing. For the price of the hotel, I would recommend some updates.

While we expected the Omni to be a lovely hotel based on prior reviews, the three rooms we had were poorly maintained. We had housekeeping come try to remove the black from the bathtub tiles, but they could not. The paint was chipping, the carpet was ripped, and we did not feel the room was clean.

I appreciated the good service at this hotel, there are a few items that are not by default in the room (fridge, kettle) but you just ask for it and they send them to your room for free. The housekeeping is great and a few times I thought I left the room too late but when I got back the room was tidy and done.

I am a light sleeper so I always ask for a quiet room away from elevators but turns out the elevators are not the main noise source. I got a south west corner unit which is facing away from Sherbrooke. The rooms have floor to ceiling glass windows which are not great at isolating sound and for some reason i had a permanent engine sound from outside. There is also echoes from the back alley but I think this is less of an issue the higher you go. The corner units are also next to the stairs and a few times i heard steps up and down which is weird considering i was on the 10th floor. The room has a communicating door leading to the adjacent room which is the worst for noise; luckily i had decent neighbors and only heard conference calls during the day and nothing that would ruin my stay but this can't be a good system. Besides the hallways are a straight line and everything echoes, a lot of people still don't know you have to be silent in hotel hallways but it's not really the hotel's fault Front desk staff is oddly lacking in French skills but not an issue as we can always switch to English. The door staff speak much better French. The TVs could use a bit of an upgrade and for a spacious room the TV could be bigger but not a deal breaker

We are absolutely disgusted and embarrassed that we recommended this hotel to our friends and stayed at the Omni Mont Royal (August of 2026). The bare minimum you expect at a hotel is cleanliness. If you are staying at this Omni you will find extremely dated rooms with old carpets, popcorn ceiling insulation, bathroom amenities that are prison-esque (no water glasses, q-tips, shower caps, soap holders, or any other type of bathroom item) and a musky smell. It’s also loud if your room is facing Sherbrooke Street (even on the 10th floor). What is totally unacceptable is the repugnant filth. Our friend’s room had long black hairs in the shower and short ones around the toilet and the rest of the bathroom. The next morning, our friends addressed it with management at the front desk who assured them it would be cleaned. We toured all day and when they returned to their room at 4:30 pm the maid was in the room (which was bizarre as we thought management would have prioritized the cleaning after our polite but graphic description of the filth). After a late dinner they returned to their room, tired, and found hair (multiple types) still in the bathroom. Upon awakening in the morning, they inspected their sheets and found blood droplets. This is after already informing management of the disgusting condition of the room. The lack of care and concern for basic cleanliness is simply unacceptable. This is NOT a 4-star hotel. It is a declining dated property that we were ashamed to host our friends in and are astonished it is associated with Omni. The next morning our friends complained to a different manager - so finally after two nights in a disgusting room it was properly cleaned and they made amends with our friends. Please understand that the room was originally in appalling condition and stayed that way even after contacting management who did nothing to address the issue initially. Apparently, hairs and blood don’t prompt management to act unless you complain multiple times. To be fair, the location of the hotel is good, the bellmen were excellent, the lobby is pretty but they destroyed us with the unsanitary conditions and the dated, musky grossness. My wife cried that our friends had this experience due to her booking us all in this place.

My wife and I loved our stay. It had three elevators so you never had a wait. The rooms were clean with minor quirks (cabinet hinges would continue creaking after the door was fully closed, the toilet gurgled whenever the faucet was run), but they were amusing more than distracting. Having Chromecast set up on the TV was a nice touch. The front desk was helpful. Add to that the location - two blocks from the major shopping district, and three from the heart of a two block strip of restaurants, and we were quite happy to be there. We used to go to a different hotel for our trips to the Fantasia Film Fest, but the price was competitive and we'll happily walk an extra block over the other location to stay here again.

Very uneven experience. The hotel is in a great location, and the room was nice. The service however was very poor. Our in room WiFi didn’t work, across 8 different devices. When we asked the hotel to look into it, they put us through to their internet provider - was not looking to debug internet connection for them on my holiday.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und unsere Sicht war wunderbar. Der Wasserspender, die täglichen roten Äpfel zum mitnehmen und morgens die Kaffeetheke sowie der Teestand zur freien Verfügung war ein richtig guter Service.

Leider haben wir die den Kaffee und Tee Stand am letzten Tag zufällig entdeckt. Der steht neben der Rezeption, wird morgens aufgestellt und Nachmittags weggeräumt. Wir sind am Nachmittag angereist und jeden morgen aus dem Seitenausgang rausgegangen, somit haben den Stand nicht gesehen. Ich hätte mir gewünscht beim Einchecken von den Mitarbeitern darauf hingewiesen zu werden.

Really great location near McGill College and downtown shopping. Had a wonderful time exploring the city and the location made it that much easier. Lots of places you can walk to and convenient access to public transportation to get you other places. Our only issue was the room, we had a difficult time sleeping because the air conditioning was broken and when it was on it made a terrible high pitch squealing noise. So we did not get much sleep during our stay.

Excellent hotel for all travellers. The hotel is located near McGill University so it is walking distance to major tourist attractions. There is a subway stop near by or bus options. A few blocks away there is a bus stop you can take to the airport, but have coins not cash not card. Odd, but true. The rooms are spacious with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was a generous portion, hot, and delicious. For lounging in the hotel there is a quiet basement area, a bar, and a lobby. The staff all maintain friendly customer service.

Truly a wonderful experience all around! Everyone is friendly and helpful and we felt fully taken care of. Spacious room, pet friendly, kind staff, great water pressure in the shower, and loaner umbrellas when we got caught in a downpour! The food at the Alice Bar was fabulous. Highly recommend!

Spacious room and I do like the classic style interior. The hotel staff was friendly and the rooms are clean with a spacious bathroom as well.

It is time for an update. The hotel starts to feel worn out. Elevators did not smell clean. Bathroom faucets were hard to get completely closed. The shower head was fixed and too low for tall people.

I found the hotel rooms quite dated and needed updating in terms of functionality. The first room I was booked into had a slow flushing toilet, the showerhead had low water pressure and it kind of smelled of stale cigarettes. We asked to change and were moved to a room on the 28th floor which was much better though i think the bathrooms still needed to be updated in terms of aesthetic and the beds sagged a bit. The room itself was very spacious with a beautiful view of Montreal. What saved the whole experience were the impeccable staff who were lovely at every turn from the doorman, to the front desk to the support staff (we had issues with wifi as well) to even the servers in the restaurants and lounges.

The hotel is very well located. Our room was a good size for a family of 3 and it was clean and comfortable. However, the carpet was threadbare in areas and the room did look tired and in need of a refresh. The housekeeping team did a good job and kept us topped up with bottled water, which we appreciated. Months prior to our arrival, I requested a lower floor room in advance as I suffer with claustrophobia and so I desperately try to avoid elevators. I was assured via email that my request would be taken seriously and that I would be allocated a room on the lowest floor, the fourth floor. Upon checking in the receptionist firmly stated, I had to have a room on the 6th floor, which made my stay a real struggle taking 6 flights of stairs numerous times a day. Had they informed me that a lower floor would not be possible in advance, I would have chosen a different hotel. The fire escape stairwell was unkempt and unpleasant. I noticed a water leak from one of the pipes in the stairwell and reported it three times to three different receptionists over two days, before the leak was repaired and the dangerous water puddles on the stairs were cleaned up, which was disappointing also. We stayed at the Omni in Toronto last summer, which is in a completely different league to this Omni in Montreal, so this hotel did not meet with our expectations and I would not stay there again. The hotel was advertised on British Airways holidays as having an outdoor pool, but sadly we discovered that it is permanently closed. My husband used the gym, but wasn’t impressed. There is mention of a Spa at the hotel, but it does not offer treatments or have a jacuzzi or sauna, it merely sells cosmetic products. This hotel has great potential, but needs a lot of work to get it up to standard. On a positive note the bar area was lovely, with a pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.

We owe our great experience of Montreal to the concierge, Veronique! She was such a wealth of information that she tailored our excursions around areas of Montreal not just Old Montreal and the Port. She also helped with our restaurant plans and knew where to send us for great food and great service. She didn’t just provide us with an itinerary. She went above and beyond when upon our return from each outing/experience when we entered the Omni lobby, she would come up to us and see about our experience. She was truly amazing! The bell man, check-in, food service, and bar attendant were attentive and kind too. Service exceeded all expectations and truly made the trip to Montreal memorable. Thanks again Veronique! Room was average.

we had such a great experience at omni mont-royal. from arrival to departure, everything was top tier. as first-time visitors to montréal, the location was central and our room was spacious & well-maintained. the staff, though, were the true stars of our stay: welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, and just downright nice. for any future visits to montréal, the omni mont-royal will be our first choice.

This hotel was a huge disappointment and definitely not worth the money. It was one of the worst hotels I stayed at during my three-week trip to Canada. The check-in process took far too long, and the reception staff were rude and unwelcoming. The room was poorly cleaned, with dog hair all over the carpet and floor. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting basic cleanliness and professional service.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The desk and door staff were very friendly and helpful. The Restaurant staff worked well under pressure and the bar staff were friendly and chatty. The location was close to the Metro and not too far from good shops and restaurants.

Minor quibbles - one day we got back in the afternoon at about 4.00 and the room had not been cleaned. On the last day, as we were about to leave we were told that there were still outstandings when I had settled the account several hours before.

While the staff were very polite, the hotel and room was in need of renovation. Toilet and bath had cracks, bathroom floor covered in long hairs and checkout tried to charge us for bar drinks that weren’t ours. Not posting photos as not nice! Pool view rather sad.
