Great location for me
Put my case on top of the wardrobe in the room and when I removed it, the bottom was covered with white dust. First time ever had a cleaning issue at the Hotel. Lack of usb sockets that I keep say in my reviews, took a phone charger, no socket at the desk area (just odd) and sockets by bed at low level, so easy to forget !!
The breakfast was very good with plenty of choices
The writing on the menu was small and very feint. Not good at all if you have a problem with your eyesight.
24hr reception dealt very well with our very late (unplanned) check in. Location great. Room sizeable and comfortable we've though a little dated.
Everything was perfect
Everything was perfect
Die Lage und der Strand!
Zu wenig Haken und Ablagefläche in dem Zimmer.
good buffet at breakfast lovely evening meals(2) friendly staff location good particularly when we worked out the buses room good size liked the ethos of the hotel
plug that didn't work in the bathroom basin no shower mat - shower slippery and nothing to hold on to
Lovely breakfast, staff were polite and friendly, really easy going place to stay. Quite central only a few mins from town. Overall a fantastic stay and would stay again 💯
Only one little gripe breakfast was sometimes slow to come out and extra tea and toast were sometimes forgotten
Quiet location, the grounds were nice with a seating area in the grass. Arbor (restaurant in the hotel) looked really nice although we didn't go there.
Heads up about the fireworks every Friday night during the summer! Caught us by surprise. Pillows were too squishy but we managed with a few on top of each other. Shower directly in the bedroom was a bit odd; if you're not close with your traveling partner already, you will be afterward!
Great staff, very clean and nicely designed rooms.
Comfortable bed, generally charming, good breakfast
Noisy.... party of 7 on the room next door, speaking loudly, door knocking, shutting closed regularly from 6.30 am.
Location just a few mins walk from the town and beach. Fantastic breakfast selection and the restaurant and bar staff were all so pleasant .
A light in the bathroom (Juniper) was out so a little dark.
Beautiful rooms and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Food was very good and staff were excellent.
It appeared to be short staffed on kitchen staff and waiters. One morning it took over 80 minutes to get breakfast served c
Lovely room very clean in a good location for getting around and quiet
Would have liked the evening meal menu to change we only stayed 3 nights so ok not too much of an issue but any longer and we would have struggled. The food tho was very good.
Great location , excellent staff and superb breakfast
Every thing was perfect for us
Near the see front and Pavilion Theatre. Large room very clean and good breakfast. Staff excellent.
Great location!
No usb sockets in the room! Noticed crockery at breakfast was marked and the salt pepper pots where dirty on the table, ran out of ham for my omelette
Hotel and staff, restaurant and bar
No smart tv,or lock on bedroom door,or do not disturb sign
Creaky floors and poor sound insulation as noise in room above and along corridor disturbed sleep constantly until 1am. I would only use a 2nd floor hotel room here if I ever thought of using this hotel again
sehr gut ..
alles tiptop ..
Stayed here twice before. Good location, clean rooms and friendly, helpful receptionist Nicola! Nice relaxing bar area although service slow and enticing restaurant if you wanted to eat at the hotel.
Attitude of some staff members. Miserable and not helpful unfortunately which reflects on the hotel. Maybe more training for those 'front facing roles' and even those members who just pass through communal areas as they are representing the hotel too.
Lovely room good breakfast and we ate in the restaurant which was a lovely meal
It was a bit of a walk in to the town
Hotel was close to all amenities breakfast was good and staff was very helpful, bottle water was in the room
Bed very soft especially in the middle it sunk No mini fridge in the room to keep water cool also since they have no air conditioning only a small fan. All tea making items were in the wardrobe where we.put our clothes
Good food; excellent staff.
I booked from Australia and didn’t realise breakfast wasn’t included - to be honest the price I paid I expected it to be included - friends stayed in other good hotels nearby for less + breakfast ..someone told me I have paid extra for being single - not sure if true - was a beautiful room - I’ll be back next year but with breakfast !
Comfortable, clean rooms. Second time staying here as great location, spotlessly clean and friendly staff.
We so enjoyed all the food particularly a very special lamb starter. So good to see imaginative dishes and at a such a good price. Evie was great, friendly and informative. Loved the eco awareness throughout in the design and quality of the rooms, bedding, etc We thoroughly enjoyed our one night and would love to go back.
There was a problem with sound on our TV which made it unwatchable but reported it on leaving and I’m sure it will be corrected.

Good location for the beach, 10 minute walk. Nice comfortable room and bed with good sized en-suite. Nice breakfast, ate dinner once in the restaurant and it was really good food. Lovely staff. Overall great for a short stay.
The location was perfect for the beach, although it was on an incline. The food was excellent, whether for breakfast or dinner. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Unfortunately, the city has gone down because of homelessness and drugs, so the hotel is near the city, where this is more prevalent, so the area can feel unsafe.
The staff were amazing, food delicious and the rooms were lovely.
£7.80 for a large wine when infact it was only a medium measure was not the best.
Loved the room especially the bath tub. Really friendly staff very helpful.
Breakfast lovely although we waited over 30 mins when we ordered it on day two
All staff were excellent! This is one of the best experiences I have had in the UK. Friendly, flexible and just lovely. Room was great. Bedding top quality. Breakfast room very nice. Restaurant very good.
The only thing I think could have been a bit more special is the outdoor area. It needs some creative planting especially around the green frame - some climbing plants etc to add interest or potted trees. It is rather bare.
The location was good
It wasn’t well ventilated. There was only a small fan that was quite noisy
Great quiet location.
No AC which I know but the blind that would help with airing and cooling did not open a close, so the room became too especially after running the shower!! Lack of USB sockets that I have mentioned many, many, many times before!!! Came down for breakfast at 0945am, all was well until 1010 when one of the staff started to clear the breakfast table !! I said I have not finished and why are you clearing the table, the answer was ‘because’ before he sloped away after touching the glass of water I had been drinking, why???? Should be allowed to finish breakfast and step away from the table IMO!!
I stayed at The Green House for two nights with my partner as were to attend a wedding in Bournemouth, and the stay was such a lovely experience from start to finish. The hotel is located on a quiet street, while still being within walking distance of Bournemouth’s seaside and pier. It took us no more than 10 minutes to walk down to the park and pier, and there were also convenience stores and restaurants nearby, which made the location very convenient. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a lovely lady at reception. She informed us that our special request for a bathtub had been accommodated and that we had actually been upgraded to a room with a bathtub at no additional cost, as our original room did not include one. We were also offered fresh milk, which they kindly would bring up to our room. The room itself was spacious, beautifully presented, and very cozy. It had double curtains, and our window overlooked the hotel’s outdoor seating area, which was lovely. Everything was clean, and the room had a very romantic atmosphere that made it perfect for a couple. The bathtub was particularly elegant and felt like a real luxury for us. We took a well needed bath both nights of our stay. We also really appreciated the thoughtful little touches throughout the hotel. Outside the rooms, there was a small table with complimentary popcorn, jellybeans, and fresh fruit for guests to enjoy. The restaurant downstairs was beautifully decorated, with fairy lights and a charming wooden tree sculpture in the middle of the dining area. The large windows overlooking the outside area were another lovely feature, and we were able to watch squirrels playing outside while having breakfast, which was such a nice little addition to our mornings. Breakfast offered a selection of cereals, yogurt, and different juices, as well as a breakfast menu with plenty of freshly prepared options to choose from. The friendly staff also served us toast, jam, and coffee alongside our chosen dishes. We ordered Eggs Benedict, Avocado toast and a traditional English breakfast, and all three were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. My favorite was the Eggs Benedict. We felt very well taken care of throughout our entire stay, and we genuinely loved our time at The Green House. The combination of the welcoming staff, cozy atmosphere, thoughtful touches, great breakfast, and excellent location made it a wonderful experience. I would happily recommend The Green House to anyone visiting Bournemouth, especially if you are looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay within easy walking distance of the seaside and pier.
Good location, nice building and pleasant staff
We were put in a top floor room (attic style) which in the summer heat was unbearably hot and this meant we could not sleep. The room had no bedside lights and a bath in the room.
Lovely hotel. Staff are great. Food is fabulous. Location spot on.
Room too hot, fan not powerful enough. Saturday a Wedding was on and the really loud disco and peoples loud chatter went on very late making it hard to sleep.
We stayed for 3 nights and had breakfast once, I think that says it all really.
The bed as it was like sleeping on soft foam with cotton wool pillows.
My wife and myself stopped for 4 nights at the end of July on a room only basis as we were spending some mornings with family. Breakfast was a bit more expensive paying an a day to day basis than if we had booked in advance but that was our decision. The breakfast was good value even at the higher rate. A good selection and lovely food (hot and cold options), with the full English, eggs Benedict etc being made to order. As others have said it was a bit strange having to pick your milk up at reception as there was no refrigerator in the room but it was still better than those little UHT milk sachets you get in most places. Room was very hot even with the window open but that the fault of the weather and not the hotel. The use of the fan (provided by the hotel) was a welcome addition and did the job well. Parking - seemed a bit odd having to pay extra but that seems quite common in the area and this was one of the cheapest at £10 per night. We were a bit concerned that we couldn't pre-book but there were plenty of spaces available and it wasn't a problem. A great location just a short walk from the town and a great view over the bay for the firework display on the Friday. Yes - we would stay again.
The whole ambiance
Blind, coming off the runner, TV sound very tinny, noise from above and below the room, sofa not comfortable at all and feathers coming out of it.
Room was perfect and a relaxing place to return to. Staff at breakfast were always very welcoming and helpful.
Evening meal expensive for portion size.
The room was lovely Clean nice bed & bath. No aircon but provided with a fan. Nice coffee machine. My husband liked the popcorn & jelly beans. 7 minute walk down hill to beach. The food in the restaurant in MY opinion was not great. I know they have 2 aa rosette but it was just mediocre food on the set menu. The quality was poor grey fish in the fish & chip option .....yuk Come on you are by the sea ....serve some beautiful white flakey cod! Can't be hard! Warm rice pudding with ice cold sorbet....strange.
The location was idea and quiet, and not too far from the buzz of Bournemouth seafront. The hotel was very spacious and generous, all areas accessible and the life even went down to the rear car park - a real help with our luggage. Room names not numbers and a door key not card. didn’t dine but the breakfast was ample, nice bar, staff and facilities. Will very much consider if returning.
I stayed for a week and was very comfortable here. The breakfast was tasty. I ate in the restaurant one evening and that was very good too. I arrived by train and got a weekly ticket for the buses which I used extensively. There were bus stops very close to the hotel with regular services.
Nice building in central location, 10 minutes walk from The Pavilion and sea front.
The night concierge was extremely unhelpful and reluctant to help resolve a few issues that we had.
Very helpful reception staff supplied us with another fan during the hot spell. Lovely room nice and quiet. Fabulous breakfast.
Absolutely loved my stay of 6 nights at The Green House, Bournemouth. First time in Bournemouth, for a training course. I will be back to stay in The Green House for sure! 9/10 - slightly unfair as it was purely down to no AC and we were in the spell of Heatwaves. However there was a fan available. Staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. My room - Wild Pear - was fabulous with a roll top bath! Toiletries provided were fabulous. And the breakfast was amazing. Made fresh to order. Close to the beach and the pier. Thank you for a great experience & hope to see you soon 😊
First - lovely staff - very professional and helpful - especially the restaurant staff and receptionists. But…… we were ‘upgraded’ - in this instance meant a room at the top floor of the hotel - no air conditioning and noticeably hotter than downstairs. This made sleeping challenging so eventually used our own fan to try to cool down the room. £10 to park each day??? Why? I’m disabled but still needed to pay. Poor! Plugs in room limited so needed to boil kettle on floor. and… a bath in the room in a bay window. Who in their right mind situates a bath there? Strange! Sink made of granite which had fissures in the bowl and looked very black and unhygienic. Food was lovely but the set menu didn’t change much. My family came to visit and we wanted to eat out so asked if we could have a refund for the evening meal (we’d booked half board) we weren’t having but they couldn’t do this as we’d booked through Hotels.com. So whilst the staff were really lovely, I couldn’t recommend it unfortunately- mainly for lack of ac, (summer stays) the quirky bedroom and no pool which could have helped make the stay better (but tbh we did know that when we booked).
Breakfast was excellent. It was busy, and service was a little bit slow as a result, but quality was really good, and the staff were superb.
Our room had a large walk-in shower at the end of our bed, which was rather odd.
Everything! Such a lovely hotel.
Breakfast was amazing
Clean, good bed, nice atmosphere
Air cons would be wonderful
Quiet good bar area. Big rooms
Staff pleasant and helpful, clean and spacious room, off road parking, nice outdoor seating area.
Due to exceptionally hot weather room was extremely hot with no air con window only opened 6 inch due to safety catch small fan provided but did next to nothing, struggled to sleep till temp dropped about 3am.
Great room, very clean , staff friendly , always happy to help and noting is ever a problem
Parking is rather difficult
We can't wait to come back. We stayed in Crab Apple which was such a beautiful room and loved how the bathroom merges into the bedroom. We had the best night sleep in our massive bed and I loved the Victorian roll top bath so much I had 3 baths during my 1 night stay 😂 The location is fantastic- a short walk into town. We had a delicious breakfast and will definitely need to try dinner at the Arbour restaurant on our next stay. Thank you to our friendly and attentive servers, talented chefs and the attention to detail from house keeping!
Wish I had booked longer!
-
Close to the beach
Fairly run down. Building had chipping paint. Gardens unkept and tatty. General maintenance not great
Lovely helpful and cheerful staff. Comfy bed with exceptionally comfy pillows - the best I've ever had in a hotel! Good shower and very clean. Lovely breakfast cooked to order.
As it was so hot (35 degree heatwave) it would have been nice to have air con but realise this is not possible in an eco friendly hotel, and a small portable fan was provided. It was also a bit strange to have the kettle and tea coffee tray in the wardrobe - but goes with the slight quirkiness of the hotel. These were very minor things and did not take away from the overall very good experience.
Nice quite area. Close to the beach.
The room was very varm. Our room was to close to the kitchen and felt you share room with the kitchen staff.
Spacious room, friendly and helpful staff, good location, pleasant outdoor area
Essen und das Personal
Sehr unbequeme kleine Betten, Zimmerausstattung sehr veraltet, im Sommer ohne Klima viel zu heiss. Wir haben 3 Tage Aufenthalt gebucht und nach einer Nachr abgebrochen.
Location was great, access to the town centre and bus routes very good. Room was a good size, as was the bathroom. We had a very good meal in the restaurant one evening. A wedding took place on the second day of our stay, the Green House contacted us in advance to give us the opportunity to change our booking and minimised the effect it had on our stay.
Really would have preferred a sofa in the room rather than a bathtub. As it was one of the hottest weekends of the year, some air conditioning would have been very welcome but a fan was provided. Breakfast on our first morning was incredibly slow service - 45 minutes to get our cooked choices - but once it came it was good.
The room is very modern and comfortably furnished. Location of the hotel to the beach is just a 5 mins walk away, and about the same by taxi into the town centre. Great that the reception and bar are both 24 hours. Has a lift, which is essential with heavy bags! Reception staff were polite, friendly and welcoming. Late night bar person was lovely, and a credit to the hotel (seems to be learning the ropes)
The fan in the room was really inadequate and the room felt more like sleeping in an air fryer. Although a bottle of tap water was provided, and a jug of fresh milk offered at reception on check in; in 34 degree heat, a little fridge/minibar really would have made all the difference. Waiting at breakfast to be seated, was chaotic. No real system and could have been done so much better. Having to wait for the lift whilst housekeeping took priority over a customer, is really poor. Air con would really make a massive difference in this hotel and get so many bookings.
Our 3rd visit and never disappointed. Staff go over and above. We ate both nights in the restaurant Arbor ~ both meals were outstanding.
Nothing!
Very convenient for beach and shops.
The only things that let it down was the bed was a little uncomfortable and breakfast was very slow.
Prachtig pand, fantastische kamer, zeer vriendelijk personeel. Ligging dichtbij strand en pier.
Niets
The Deluxe room we had was so spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend upgrading although if it’s only the room for a night you need then I’m sure the double rooms are equally beautiful and cost less. The breakfast was amazing , 10/10 there. The gentleman serving in the morning is outstanding at his job. We sat in the garden a couple of nights after coming back from the town and had a drink from inside the hotel, prices very reasonable and staff accommodating. Location is uphill from the town but luckily not too far but bear this in mind.
My only small gripe is that you need fresh milk for tea/coffee when you arrive but there is no fridge to keep it in so it’s pointless really. Also we had minimal sugar sachets and tea bags which were clearly forgotten by housekeeping. But overall that’s a tiny observation, everything was wonderful.
Location fantastic for seafront and town. Buses nearby . Great staff , comfy bed . Excellent food .
Chair in bedroom unsittable on. Not much hoovering done over 5 days and towels reduced in number. Coke on tap not bottle or can
friendly staff. comfortable room. beautiful bathroom
All was lovely but could do with a saucer on tea/coffee tray to put the coffee bags on.
Lovely bathroom
Mattress was a bit soft
Great evening meals
Outside temperature was mid 30s, no air conditioning, not acceptable these days. Breakfast was average. Also its disgusting to have to pay for the car park at £10/day
The property was clean and in a good location, but our stay was significantly affected by the lack of air conditioning. We visited during a major heatwave, and the indoor temperature became extremely uncomfortable, especially at night, making it very difficult to sleep.
The lack of AC.
Just would like a lock in the inside of the door and a do not disturb sign
Beautiful boutique hotel with a very warm welcome at reception. Nice touches throughout. I requested an early check in and they delivered on this. We were very grateful as we needed to get off to my daughter’s cheer comp.
I was a bit nervous on being told parking is first come first serve. We arrive around 13:00 for 15:00 check in and we were fine.
Staff was great
Small room walk back from beach is up hill
Location was great Staff were welcoming and friendly Room very clean and tidy
Dinner service was a little slow, we were asked to wait a bit longer for our table, with a child and already being later than planned due to traffic we were after a quick dinner before bedtime
Great location for me
Lack of USB sockets within the rooms Very hard to cool the room during the heat wave; no A/C in any area including the rooms; and I knew this before booking. Small fan in the cupboard not that effective. Health and safety prevented me from opening the window more than a few inches to create a better flow of air.
Toller Service😍
Die viel zu weichen Matratzen
Excellent location, very close to the beach, restaurants, cafes and venues. It is a cosy hotel, rooms are clean and spacious, downstairs bar has excellent choice of cocktails and the restaurant food is to die for!
Loved the location, close to everything
Breakfast good with plenty of choice service sometimes a little slow. Cosy room was adequate but short on storage. Bathroom very small but good large shower. Bottled water was provided and replenished daily as were tea and coffee. Fruit and snacks were on hand too. Short walk to town and beach
We opted for DB&B however whilst the food was good the dinner set menu choices were quirky and limited the daily fish special was the same on 2 consequent nights and on the other 2 nights the accompanying sauce and gnocchi was the same and not to purr taste.
Ontbijt uitstekend en kamer heel mooi en proper.
Heel smal bed voor 2 personen, denk 1m30.
Location, breakfast was excellent as was the whole experience idmf our stay.
The building, the location. The restaurant was fantastic!!!👍😀
Not their fault but their was a wedding and there was lots of noises and door slapping.
Location and room decor and facilities
Think outside needs some work as does not reflect the quality of the interior. Think they need to have USB ports in the room.
Breakfast was really good with a wide variety of choice from cereals to fresh fruit salad and a good choice of cooked items even catering for items not on the menu like a bacon butty. The hotel is on a quieter road so not much traffic noise.
I had no complaints at all
The bed and bathroom
Poor lighting in both bedroom and bathroom. Difficult to apply makeup
Everything
Nothing
I loved it here, friendly staff great rooms and great location
Clean, comfortable with good decor.
Paying £10 for 1 nights parking
Lovely hotel in a fairly quiet location. Food was good with a nice breakfast and evening meal, though a little pricey on the latter outside of the set menu.
Would have liked a mini fridge in the room and a few more plain tea bags/sugar in the room. We appreciate the hotel isn't modern which meant we could hear the footsteps of the room above quite noticeably.
Umfangreiches Frühstück. Freundliches und aufmerksames Personal.
Been here many times; excellent breakfast but inconsistent potion sizes; daily.
Lack of usb sockets in the room; however this time I found a hack; there is a usb socket on the size of the tv with the tv powered on it would slowly charge the iPhone / iPad.
Clean and tidy friendly staff
No fridge in the room Dinning room staff a little bit lacking experience,, keep tables clean bring butter with toast and keeping empty glasses stored up , bin for cereal box’s at the buffet table
Lovely hotel and great staff
