Fantastic location, especially if your room has a sea view. The gardens were very picturesque and well maintained. The staff were very helpful, especially Graham the night porter, who went to great lengths to ensure that an issue we had with our room was fully resolved to our satisfaction. Wonderful customer service!

The bar area was rather small, we ended up sitting at a dining table in the adjacent room. A larger area with more relaxed seating would have made our experience more comfortable.

The staff were all so polite and well mannered. The hotel was clean and the food was excellent. A five minute walk to the beach made the hotel a great location.

Just a few minor things in the room. No refrigerator, would of expected that in a 4 star hotel. The TV reception wasn't very good and would cut out time to time. And no hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes or towels.

Gardens, view, general location. Room had air conditioning (needed as under the roof and window smallish). Hotel well-maintained.

Staff at reception were uninspiring. Our room was not ready at 15h.00 (on a day we know hotel was not full). Barely an apology. Just told to come back later. Tea on the terrace meant going to the bar to order. No gym or pool.

Lots of noise from outside the room. We were on First Floor near the lift and there was an awful lot of noise, plus a very uncomfortable squeaky bed.

Good location. Staff absolute gems, particularly Graham. No fridge in the room, no microwave or any heating options. Half a litre water for five people and we bought the rest. The reception guys - two lady’s and a chap - literally had ‘no’ as an answer for any questions or requests, even the ones they’ve said they’ve sorted online. Hotel as such was clean, bathrooms were spacious and neat, beds comfy and carpets in good condition. City food places and the beach from the east cliff were easily walkable or five minute car ride. With so many great things, this should have been a 10/10. Every guest we spoke to felt the reception team grated with them. Lasting impressions…

This hotel required guests to pay £17.50 per guest for breakfast per day!

We had a lovely 2 days stay at Hotel Miramar after a long travel from The Netherlands. The location is perfect, direct access to the pier and beaches, yet very calm and relaxed. The staff was very friendly and we can recommend the restaurant

No complaints, or issues except for an inside door handle that was loose (easy fix). The Hotel has one EV charger but this was sufficient at this time of year

Location was amazing. Loved sitting out front of the hotel in the evening havjng a drink (...or two!!) The No. 43 resturant was really lively and the food was really good. Bhumika and Jessica made us so comfortable and were very accomodating during breakfast and evening meal. Thank you so much.

The hotel is close to the beach which is good and a reasonable distance to town.

It needs a proper revocation.The prices you charge are not worth the hotel.The furniture is very old,everything is old i must say.To me it looked like a 1970’s hotel costing a leg,for what??For Being a walking distance from the beach??No.You guys need a serious revocation and a sound proof because we could hear footsteps the entire night.

Unsere Email mit der Bitte um ein Zimmer mit Meerblick wurde nicht beantwortet. Ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gab es auch nicht mehr. Einige Zimmer sind nicht renoviert. Unser erstes, nicht renovertes Zimmer roch leider sehr nach altem sich auflösenden Teppichkleber. Das war nicht auszuhalten. Wir mussten das Zimmer wechseln.

Aus der Dusche kam sehr wenig Wasser. Teilweise sind die Zimmer sehr klein. Ein Zimmer war direkt über der Küche, es hat gestunken und war sehr laut die ganze Nacht. Es ist ziemlich veraltet.

I really liked the hotel. Perfect for our stay. My only niggle was that the shower sometime slowed to a dribble.

I loved the quiet location, on top of the cliff yet so close to the footpath down to beach and the promenade. Running down for a quick dip in the morning before breakfast was fantastic. The hotel is pretty, well looked after, clean and in good condition. I think they had a refit fairly recently. My room had a bathroom which looked quite new. The gardens are lovely and manicured. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy the sun. The staff were friendly, the breakfast nice and plentiful. I had a good sleep without any noise at all. Thank you, that was a great experience.

Comunication,we were told first morning no breakfast was booked for our room.Had to sort it with manager.Restaurant was closing at 9-30,was not informed of this.When I booked it was 8-00-10-00 .We did get some breakfast in the end.We booked an evening meal in the hotel no record for that.Wasn't happy ,shouldn't happen.

I think in the hot weather a small fridge is not much to ask for in the room. If there is no air-conditioning at least provide a decent fan, not the cheap noisy one that was there.

It was the venue for a Birthday Party therefore an obviously choice to stay overnight.

Reception staff had to be prompted to allow us to store our bags before we could check in. We arrived by train.

Excellent location! All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful which makes such a difference.

My only complaint. We stayed during the recent heatwave and my room had no air conditioning just a noisy fan, so sleeping wasn’t easy.

Wedding on Friday and Saturday so busy, couldn't sit outside, long queues to get a drink. Incorrectly charged for things we didnt have, so bill had to be recalculated. They advertise parking at the hotel but don't tell you it's £15 a night until you get there.

The location was great & the views were amazing.

Bedrooms were tired & mattress was very lumpy & uncomfortable. Breakfast wasn’t great & definitely not very good value for money. No air conditioning in the bedrooms just an old dusty dirty fan, understaffed, staff weren’t very accommodating, no room service, food wasn’t available after 7pm if there was an event on.

The hotel appeared to be short off staff, at times the bar was left unattended and the clients had to wait for the barman to return before being served. We were advised that there was on site parking, on arrival we were told we would be charged £15 per night to park our car - this should have been advised at the time of booking.

A lovely hotel with attentive staff and a great outside seating area. The gardens are beautiful. Parking was also good for a hotel relatively close to the town center. Would definitely return.

Grounds are particularly attractive. Sitting on front terrace is very enjoyable. Atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and pleasant. Sea view from room no. 209 excellent. Bathroom small but clean and everything worked ok!

Breakfast menu is adequate but rather 'ordinary' Cereal bar is fine and good selection, (peach slices delicious!)

Having to pay for parking on the large car park provided by the hotel left a bit of a sour taste. It wasn't very busy, so I felt parking could have been complimentary for guests. It wouldn't deter me from staying again, as I otherwise enjoyed my stay, but I thought it was a little disappointing to be charged extra for parking on top of the room rate.

Proximity to the centre and the beach

Old, tired, not worth the money we paid. Wifi was poor. Our suite was very old. The bathroom cracked and dirty tiles, tv reception poor - couldn’t get BBC1. The outside ratten furniture on our balcony was rusty and coming apart. For 2 nights we paid £580 - not including breakfast or parking.

Wonderful location, gorgeous coastal views, and the private parking was a huge plus. The hotel itself is a beautiful, historic building. Room was clean and staff were friendly .

The property is beautiful no doubt, but the rooms would benefit greatly from a refresh, as some of the furniture and cushions showed noticeable wear and tear. Because we visited during a hot summer spell, the room felt quite warm and stuffy. A small desk fan was available, but it wasn’t cool enough.

Generally everything was great but there was no aircon in the room and also no fans and it was an exceptionally hot few days so it was hard to sleep but one thing to comment on was the female staff in the bars and restaurant were not particularly friendly however the male staff appeared a lot more amenable. Food was very good too

Room was tired and dusty, really needs a refurbishment all round to modernise the rooms. The kettle had a strange yellowing mark across the top which wiped off, and the hair dryer was yellow through age.

Not much. The parking was good for cars and no extra charge.

NO air conditioning in room or hotel restaurant or public areas!! It was horribly hot and the staff didn't have enough fans for everyone in rooms. I had to wait a full day for a fan. Windows didn't open more than 4 inches. No one seemed to take a sense of urgency given the high heat and never put fans into the restaurant areas. NOT a four star...maybe a 3 as the view from front patio is of the water.

The location is fantastic, the garden and view are amazing with sea view. The staff were lovely as well. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom towels were excellent quality, a rare thing when you stay away. The breakfast was really good. The starters on evening menu were lovely, the cheese soufflé was really good.

The veg with the evening meal, in our opinion, did not go too well. Collection of plates from garden tables was very slow.

It’s a beautiful building in a perfect location. The was parking and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The room was very large with a fantastic seaview and a very comfortable large bed

Really great location if looking for something slightly out the busyness of the city centre. Very picturesque property with lovely outdoor space. Sea views from the room were lovely

We stayed in a room directly above the restaurant which meant from approx 6-9pm it was extremely loud from the restaurant music. Asked for it to be turned down slightly but still very loud so not ideal if looking for a quiet stay during these hours. Not very many comfortable places to relax outside of your room. Would be nice to have more cosier sofas/chairs to relax if the weather isn’t nice to sit outside. Room was clean but other areas felt like they could do with a clean, carpets especially.

Breakfast was good. Table service which l liked.All staff were very friendly.Nothing was to much trouble.Will definitely visit again. Close to the pier a local park and the shops were within walking distance.

Hotel Miramar was very smart - obviously a big investment in carpets and soft furnishings. The tropical, well-maintained garden with its sea view from the terrace was exceptional, made a great holiday atmosphere. Our room was larger than expected, very comfortable. It is situated in a prime location on Eastcliff Overdrive, with wonderful views to Bournemouth Pier and beyond Poole. A real bonus was the superbe Russell-Cotes museum, garden and art gallery, a three minute walk away. The continental breakfast was good. Staff at the hotel were very helpful, attentive and polite. Hard to beat overall.
