Portrush Atlantic Hotel

Friendly welcome from all staff we encountered. Dog friendly, bowls and bed supplied if needed. Comfortable bar/restaurant. Dogs allowed in the bar area only, which is perfectly fine and the staff were very accommodating to dogs. Food in the bar arrived quickly and well presented. Breakfast was a self service buffet with a good choice of hot and cold items.

No negatives.

At breakfast the staff tried to sit us on separate table when there were larger tables available. There was no orange juice at all this was very poor. Also run out of other juices.

Hotel a little dated and not very attractive from outside. Parking not easy. Room quite nice, comfortable bed, but very dark due to small windows.

I liked the location was very central and the easily accessible. The hotel was very clean and the food was good. It was also great having a lift.

The food wasn't bad

I paid extra for a seaview, room 125 has just about got a sea view because it faces a row of shops. The room I paid for was apparently supposed to have a walk in shower, that's why I chose it, it was a shower over a bath. It was a family room for 4... they supplied 1 hot chocolate, 1 packet of biscuits containing 3 lol, for a family of 4??

It was comfortable & clean, staff are very friendly, breakfast was great, plenty to pick from also the bar food is very tasty 😋

The Hotel is well located,

The hot breakfast was cold. The accommodation was ok but the problem was someone trying to get in at 11.30 at night from the adjoining room and when this was reported to the staff, nothing appeared to be done. Very disappointed.

Rude night staff, Joseph. Couldn't close windows and room overlooked a street with lots of noise spilling from bars and cars racing round till all ors,dud not get to sleep till 4am. . Was tild Couldn't be changed rooms abd had to just get on with it. Wrote a review on their Facebook page which they promptly deleted

lovely room, clean and the breakfast was good

very noisy the family room we were in was at the back of the hotel which meant we heard bin lorries or deliveries very often also children running from room to room around 12am slamming doors while my own children were sleeping then had a baby crying next door to us about 5 in the morning and the parents being loud so we didn't get much sleep my son is autistic and struggled with the noise

Stayed here a few times now always fine, two points however the hot food breakfast was lukewarm and £15 per night to park your car is a bit of a joke,don’t be telling me you can park on the street as your receptionist did as with the one way system you have to do laps to get a space .

Weather was warm, and we missed air conditioning. However, a fan was left in the room for our use , and that helped .

Room was clean, shower and bath was very good. Bed was very comfortable although pillows were a bit soft for me. Breakfast was really excellent 👌. Plenty off options. If you left breakfast hungry you can't blame the hotel.

Parking a bit of an issue. I know there is not much room at the premises but maybe if you had a choice to book parking even for a nominal fee this could maybe work.

The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and the rooms were spotless and well equipped. We were greatly impressed with the breakfast the next morning as the food was delicious and there was a great choice of items on the breakfast buffet trolley to avail of. One of our party was Gluten free and one was vegetarian/vegan and again the staff were able to cater for their needs and cooked the GF breakfast to order ensuring a very happy diner! We will be back again soon, not least for the breakfast!

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this hotel! We were very impressed and the room rates were fabulous when taking into consideration the ample breakfast buffet the next morning!

Toiletries including body and hand lotion which many hotels of Northern Ireland no longer provides. Shortbread cookies offered with in room coffee / tea provisions. Street parking directly infront of hotel. Very convenient.

Windows are small so limited view of the gorgeous sea directly available from the hotel. Rooms seem dark due to small windows.

Location is fabulous. Beds very comfortable. Staff friendly.

Breakfast set up, Too dark, Area very confined, Queue for tea and toaster only one toaster for all guests. Waiting on these areas meant you breakfast was cold. Bathroom toilet flush handle appeared to be attached with silcone, the bath overflow outlet was black and dirty needs refurbished. The lighting in the room was very poor.

Someone pyjamas where in are bed an the bathroom floor was soaking my partner was scratching all night and when we got another room she couldn’t get comfortable so we left

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a lovely stay at the Portrush Atlantic Hotel from 29th–31st August 2026. The hotel is in a fantastic location, perfect for exploring Portrush and the surrounding area. Our room and the hotel in general were very clean and comfortable, and all the staff we met were friendly, welcoming and helpful. It made our stay feel relaxed and enjoyable from start to finish. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay at the Portrush Atlantic Hotel again. Highly recommended!

A few things could have been better during our stay. At breakfast, we found that the hot food was more warm than hot, and when we asked about pastries, unfortunately there were none left. Breakfast was entirely self-service, including drinks from the machine. We also noticed that guests, including children, were carrying hot drinks from the machine themselves, which felt a little concerning from a safety point of view. We think having staff available to assist with hot drinks, particularly for younger children, would be a worthwhile improvement. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but we feel these small changes would make the breakfast experience much better

Great location in Portrush, parking can be tricky, but you can book onsite for a fee. The was clean and well appointed and a decent size. The buffet style breakfast was excellent.

Breakfast had a good selection. The bar had a very good selection of cocktails. I enjoyed the live music.

The bathroom could do with an upgrade.

Hotel staff very friendly and hardworking. Breakfast was plentiful choice and replemished. Sea view room was lovely, bed comfortable had good nights sleep.

Unfortunately bathroom needs some TLC, eg sink waste plug should be replaced and shower screen needs to be secured/sealed properly as water runs down bath and unto floor.

We had a wonderful stay at the Portrush Atlantic. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making check-in and getting settled a breeze. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had a brilliant view out over the sea. The location is ideal for exploring the town on foot. The breakfast was excellent—hot, fresh and with plenty of choices. A fantastic base on the North Coast. Highly recommended!

Location is great ,close to shops, bars and restaurants etc Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is self service and there was plenty to choose from. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast could be a 10/10 but its slightly warm and I like my soda and potato bread fried! It seemed like it was toasted. Two small missing parts in bathroom and on the door lock. Its the little things that just need fixed. The downstairs areas are painted in dark colours and the reception could be brighter and more inviting . I always think the entrance sets the tone of the hotel, but that's my opinion. I would prefer if staff removed salt & pepper and sugar from the table before spraying cleaning products. But they do keep the area clean. Having to pay for carpark isn't great.

Staff so helpful and professional. Room warm and comfortable. Food good with good choices. Love those soft fluffy towels. Liked the newer refurbished rooms.

Window was seriously very hard to close. Door wouldn’t lock on inside. Was depending on a metal bar for security. Shower was very hard to shift position. Being a disabled bath this was a big problem, I would worry about someone with more mobility problems than me.

L’hotel si trova in una posizione molto comoda per visitare Portrush, vicino al mare e ai principali servizi. Lo staff è gentile e disponibile, sempre pronto ad aiutare. Le camere sono ampie e la pulizia generale è buona. Anche la colazione è stata soddisfacente, con una buona varietà e qualità dei prodotti.

Le camere, pur essendo grandi, risultano un po’ datate nell’arredamento. I bagni hanno ancora la vasca e avrebbero bisogno di una ristrutturazione per essere più moderni e funzionali. La pulizia da migliorare

A lovely family hotel. Food at breakfast and evening meals were delicious. Loved the pool table, darts board, football table and lots of tvs in the bar, great for kids and adults. A perfect choice for a family break. We will definitely be back.

Rooms could do with a makeover and a deep clean. Windows not able to fully open needs changing to child lock windows.

The hotel could perhaps update their sign to the carpark behind the hotel. The sign says "Ramada Hotel Carpark" despite the fact that the hotel had changed its name (to Portrush Atlantic Hotel) around 2 years ago. This would have avoided my driving around the one-way system of Portrush several times before landing on the appropriate carpark.

The view was amazing.

Room stifling hot , needs air conditioning etc . Very poor lighting in the room and bathroom.

Just back from the Atlantic Hotel ,had a good stay. The staff are very friendly,and we're close to all amenities.its like home from home .Thank You Atlantic J Thompson.
