Very nice and great locals
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We loved being able to walk to everything in Ennis. The breakfast was exceptional.
The room was comfortable, clean and functional. We ate at the attached Pub and it was good. The free parking is a bonus
Great location. Breakfast included and free parking was a bonus. Lots of restaurants to walk to from hotel. Staff was extremely nice.
Mornings were a little loud with the pubs cleaning up behind it. Didn’t start until 6:30/7am so not too early but I am a light sleeper so that woke me up every morning.
Standard of room was excellant as was ths food and service
The lift doors are very quick to cliseand caught my elderly father out and badly geazed his arm but reception were helpful and aplogetic and asdisted with several plasters
It was well located and very comfortable. It was clean with high sleep ability.
We loved the decor The waitstaff at the restaurant were all very friendly The town of Ennis is steps away from the hotel
Nothing!
Lovely hotel. Really enjoy staying here even if it is for work. Very comfortable and all the staff are lovely and friendly and so helpful.
I cant think of anything. Any issues I had were promptly dealt with by staff.
Veronika at reception was excellent , all the staff were good.
Breakfast could be a bit better , quality and heat.
Location very good
Breakfast could have been better, bacon and poached eggs overcooked, I had to wait for freshly poached eggs
Great staff who were very helpful, friendly atmosphere, good breakfast provided, Central location. Room was comfortable, parking was secure
I wasn't there long enough to find any real negatives.
We loved the layout, room, food, service and the girl at reception, Laura. She was super helpful and pleasant to deal with.
The view out of our window 😔 (roof tops), and couldn't figure out how to get to the car park, because of the new pedestrianised street in ennis town (not the hotel's fault), but a little heads-up would have been nice
Small hotel with friendly staff in a great location
Perfect for what we wanted. Great base.
Loved the ambience of the place , the decor was class , lovely bed room and great night in the bar with music
Not prunes
Lage
Das Badezimmer müsste dringend renoviert werden.
Excellent location for the town centre. My room and bed were comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. A lot of options for breakfast.
I have a dairy allergy which I did let the hotel know beforehand and a dairy free milk was provided at breakfast. I only had one meal at the restaurant attached to the hotel which was a lovely meal but the menu was limited to what I could eat.
Location was good, and the staff were really helpful.
Very dated decor, family room was tiny, we were falling over our things. Bedroom was next door to hotel toilets, no sound insulation (we could hear everything). Didn’t help the room faced the courtyard outside the hotel which was noisy on a Friday night. Bathroom was pretty dire. All clean though.
The history of the building, decor, attached restaurant and location to walk to Main Street.
Not much. Was on there one night unfortunately.
All of iy
customer care was amazing
room a little cramped for 2 adults and 3 teenagers
sehr gute Lage, freundlicher Service
Couldn't fault anything
Would highly recommend
Clean and tidy
Nothing
Excellent location, lovely room, good bar food.
Nothing
Breakfast was very good and reception staff were excellent.
Room was quite warm and bathroom fan automatically came on with bathroom light
Third time staying brilliant location lovely hotel super staff
Bot pricey
Receptionist was highlight of the stay. , Night porter/ barman in the early morning also very thoughtful and helpful. Lovely place
Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, lovely building, great food and clean rooms.
The rooms are nice and comfortable but could do with a refresh - they are rather old and outdated. This hotel has so much potential but needs a few upgrades.
Friendly staff, excellent location. Couldn't fault it.
I had to go home!
The location was excellent , breakfast was good each morning., staff were very friendly.
All was good, the only problem we had , was the shower was poor, in that it was hard to get it to warm up.
Very central location. Wonderful staff from the start of our stay to checkout. Andrea, who manages the restaurants, was wonderful and went above and beyond giving us all of the proud history around the hotel. Heidi who looked after us for dinner was a lovely young lady.
Location
Rooms very small. No air conditioning, bathroom had very little shelf space. No fridge or safe in room. Very basic hotel
Location, very clean, good food and wonderful staff
No air conditioning in hotel during a heatwave. Room was very uncomfortable because of the extreme heat, fan provided was ineffective.
Friendly staff.
Nothing to dislike.
Good facilities, access to high street good, beautiful architecture of the main hotel building, safe parking.
We discovered a bedbug on our bed. We experienced managements response as being superficially concerned, saying the right things, but actually somewhat dismissive and incredulous, bordering upon denial, despite presenting them with the live creature found on the bed. We moved to another nearby room and thankfully had no further creepy crawleys. To us, this was a big thing, where management's view portraited to us was that they did everything they should have, and that these things do happen occasionally despite best efforts - well management, never before to us in many, many travels, and never for us again in your hotel!
Beautiful building, facilities available, proximity to town.
Bedbugs! Underreaction and defenciveness/denial by management at various levels.
Breakfast was enjoyable
Friendly staff and fresh produce . Mushrooms were very tadty.
No complaints at all.
The location couldn’t have been better. It is right in the center of everything and it’s all very walkable. The furtherest I had to walk to anything was the bus station, which was 12 minutes away. It was very clean and the staff at the front desk and the general manager were all super nice and accommodating. They even moved me to a different room after my first night that had less direct sun and was cooler. I was there during exceptionally hot weather for Ireland.
I liked everything!
Good parking facilities, friendly staff
No Aircon in the rooms
Lage, Hotelausstattung, Personal
Very nice Hotel and comfortable very well located close to everything very good Breakfast Buffet. Had a fabulous stay in Ennis lots to see and do beautiful part of the country. Will definitely be returning.
Nice rooms…good restaurant…friendly staff
They hadn’t a special parking lot for the hotel…but we came in late and there no spaces…so had to park in public lot and had to get out early in the morning to move the car before paid parking started
The hotel provided fantastic breakfast, excellent service, and the perfect location to walk everywhere in Ennis. The family suite was exactly what we needed for our stay too! We even had a kings-sized bed, and a couch for our son to sleep on. 10/10!
The only thing we didn't like is there is no air conditioning in the rooms, but normally that's not an issue in Ireland at all. We happened to be there during a heat wave where it was sunny and warm the entire time, which we are absolutely not complaining about! The weather was perfect our entire trip!
Nada.
Breakfast was fabulous, including both hearty, delicious and healthy choices. The location of the hotel is also fantastic -- next door to the Clare Museum and walk-able to just about everything else. Staff were great, and the original architectural elements of the building (former convent) and literary / historical elements were charming.
My only negative observation is that the lobby's interior decor is definitely overdue for a refresh -- the black and red color scheme is a little much! I came away with the feeling that "this could really be a beautiful hotel..." Too bad. But, the other attributes definitely made our stay worthwhile.
Location was great. Free parking.
Room was dated. Small and stuffy. Breakfast was bland. Fried eggs were like shuttlecocks.
Location
Friendly staff,excellent food,superb location.
The staff were so nice and helpful. The room were clean, the breakfast were nice. The location was great
Location perfect. Breakfast had plentiful choice.
Lack of bar food after 9pm. We didn't need full menu at that time.

Right in the centre of the town , restaurant in house
Nonthing
Convenient location,good facilities.
Nothing.
We had a nice stay but nothing amazing - for a 4 star hotel you could expect more. I paid 400e for 2 nights mid-week, which I thought was quite expensive, considering the twin room was nothing special. The food didn't feel fresh at breakfast, some of the fruits were rotten... The location was great though, right in the middle of the town. :)
