Location handy for office.

Hotel felt dated. The staircase felt like it was for staff only - looked like an old office block staircase! Aiir con unit very noisy - especially if setting to "auto". It came on in the middle of the night and woke me up! Room lighting poor - no ceiling lights! Had to rely on lamps like it was the Victorian Ages! On site parking very poor too - had to park in shopping centre. Website instructions for alternative parking very poor. Coffee machine at breakfast is foul - tastes like a cheap vending machine.

The hotel is tired beyond belief and massively expensive for what it is. I stayed in the Hilton up the road last week and the room was bigger, newer and smarter.

Fijne ligging om Londen te bezoeken. Station is maar 5 minuten lopen en rechtstreekse lijn naar Waterloo station. Ontbijt en service ook uitstekend.

Het avondeten vond ik wat minder, de pizza kwam volgens mij uit de magnetron en parkeren kan alleen als er plek is in de garage en prijzig.

The staff were friendly, the location was decent and I had a view of the tree line which was nice. When I complained about my room they allocated another immediately.

The hotel is quite tired. The decor is dated, the gym was very miserable. It feels like it would have been 4 stars in the 1980s or something. The staff do their best and are excellent. However, having stayed a week at the Hilton just around the corner, the difference was heaven and earth. Keep the cookie on arrival - that was a delicious nice touch.

Leider entsprach unser Aufenthalt nicht dem Standard, den wir von einem Hilton-Hotel erwartet hätten. Unser Zimmer machte keinen wirklich gründlich gereinigten Eindruck und war teilweise staubig. Ein Föhn war nicht vorhanden, ebenso fehlte eine Toilettenbürste. Auch die Tür im Badezimmer war deutlich beschädigt und machte insbesondere im unteren Bereich einen stark abgenutzten und ungepflegten Eindruck. Hinzu kam ein ständig wiederkehrendes Geräusch von außen, das auch im Zimmer deutlich zu hören war. Wir konnten nicht feststellen, woher es kam, aber gerade bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie würden wir eine bessere Schallisolierung der Fenster erwarten, sodass solche Geräusche im Zimmer nicht ständig wahrnehmbar sind. Auch beim Frühstück gab es einige Punkte, die verbessert werden sollten. Bei unserer Ankunft wurde uns überhaupt nicht erklärt, wie das Frühstück abläuft oder was angeboten wird. Der Kaffee, der uns morgens angeboten wurde, war mehrfach nur lauwarm. Auch an der Kaffeemaschine gab es immer wieder Probleme – entweder fehlte die Milch oder etwas anderes funktionierte nicht. Was uns allerdings am meisten enttäuscht hat, war teilweise der Umgang mit den Gästen. Zwei Mitarbeiter waren wirklich sehr freundlich und bemüht – dafür möchten wir uns ausdrücklich bedanken. Beim übrigen Personal hatten wir leider häufig einen ganz anderen Eindruck. An der Rezeption wurde teilweise nicht einmal gegrüßt, wenn man vorbeikam oder auf die Mitarbeiter zuging. Man musste selbst zuerst den Kontakt suchen. Außerdem standen Mitarbeiter immer wieder in Gruppen zusammen, unterhielten sich und hatten ihren Spaß miteinander, während man als Gast das Gefühl hatte, eher wenig Beachtung zu bekommen. Für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie fanden wir das nicht angemessen. Besonders unangenehm war eine Situation an der Bar, bei der meine Frau von einer Mitarbeiterin sofort in einem sehr unfreundlichen Ton darauf hingewiesen wurde, dass sie in die falsche Richtung gegangen sei.

Great room that was available to us as soon as we got there. All staff were cordial especially in the dining room. A very good buffet style breakfast was provided with excellent selection. Parking was very good underground. Walking the town was very convenient from here.

The hotel was very clean and the room was comfortable and well kept. The breakfast was tasty & the choices were great - it was an especially nice surprise to see bagels as they are not usually available from experience. Staff were friendly & helpful and we enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant which was reasonably priced and the waitress was lovely.

The room smelt like damp. There was dirty towels in the bathroom and the bathroom wasn't overly clean. Checkin staff were fairly rude ... When wanting to check in .... Even thou I had already paid for my visit before I arrived the got out the card machine for me to pay again and rudley was told we'll show me then that you have paid ... Menu prices in the bar on the menu said one and charged more sooo not great

Dining room easy to find. Large. Efficient and helpful staff. And the food passable but totally outweighed by the overwhelming atmosphere - so gloomy! Dark, old-fashioned dark brown, dark grey and black was so depressing! Needs a re-vamp and brighten. Definitely didn’t want to eat breakfast there the next morning, though my hungry husband did.

The room was well furnished and of good quality. Reception was friendly and helpful at check in and check out and booked us a taxi. The breakfast was excellent, with good explanations given and custom cooked options. The bed was very comfortable.

Overall it was good. I thought the messaging on the lift ("you are not authorized to use this floor") sounded officious - a reminder to swipe our card would have been better. We had a room set up for those with disabilities - which was a good thing for the hotel to offer. In our case, we did not realise light switches were lower down (under card that kept the air conditioning working) and the bathroom door banged into the main door - we also needed someone else to explain to use that the card by the door was not a room card, but to keep air-conditioning on. These were minor inconveniences.

It's an excellent hotel, the staff is very friendly, especially Laura, who is very nice and a very sweet person.

Room and service were good. Staff were friendly. Kateryna at the breakfast service was super friendly and helpful.

Decent and spacious room with good supply of basic amenities. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Reception staff Daniel is very efficient, helpful and humorous who helped our check in process smooth and worry-free.

Only issue was that the room was exceptionally hot. The air con did not come out cold and even with a fan we were sweltering.

I would like to compliment Laura for her outstanding service during breakfast. She was warm, friendly, and approachable, making guests feel genuinely welcomed. When I wanted to make myself a coffee, I found that the guest coffee machine was out of service. Without me having to ask, Laura immediately took the initiative to prepare a coffee for me using another machine located away from the guest area. Her proactive attitude, willingness to help, and attention to detail turned what could have been a minor inconvenience into a pleasant experience. Laura’s excellent customer service and positive attitude are a real credit to the hotel. Thank you, Laura, for going the extra mile to make my breakfast experience enjoyable.

We had a great stay here. The rooms are very comfortable, but the dining experience was a real highlight thanks to the amazing restaurant staff. This whole hotel was amazing, very close to a shopping centre and very close to Taco Bell which my daughter was happy about. The staff would bend over backwards to help and they were all extremely friendly, the hotel was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was amazing, full English, a variety of meats and cheeses along with a variety of fruit. Plenty of parking also. Will definitely stay here again as it was also only 15 minutes away from Thorpe Park.

The hotel itself is modern, clean and well presented, with comfortable rooms and good quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The location was convenient for our needs and, on the surface, it has everything you would expect from a branded hotel. Unfortunately, what let the stay down for us was the level of customer service. We stayed on a busy Saturday and fully appreciate that hospitality can be demanding, especially during peak periods. However, basic courtesy and a welcoming attitude should remain a priority regardless of how busy things are. Our arrival didn’t get off to the best start, with the first member of the reception team coming across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. Thankfully, a second member of staff, who I believe may have been a supervisor, stepped in and handled things much better, helping to recover the situation. Sadly, the same lack of warmth was evident when we checked out. I simply asked for directions to the car park from reception and was met with a rather abrupt response of “over there, turn left at the lift”. The tone made me feel as though I was asking an obvious question rather than seeking assistance as a guest. There was no “thank you for staying”, “hope you enjoyed your stay” or even a simple goodbye. It’s a shame because the hotel itself has plenty going for it. However, hospitality is about more than just rooms and facilities. The little things matter. A smile, a please, a thank you and a friendly farewell can leave a lasting positive impression. Unfortunately, those basics were missing during our stay. Would I stay again? Possibly, because the hotel itself is perfectly pleasant. However, I do hope the customer service experience improves, as it currently falls short of what I would expect from a Hilton branded property.

My experience was great!! Any issues that came up were immediately sorted out! I was served by the lovely Kate at breakfast! She was wonderful and worked so hard to look after everyone during service. Really appreciate the warm hospitality from all the staff, but Kate especially went above and beyond.

I was really impressed. The hotel is modern, well-designed, and the service I received from staff was first-rate. The breakfast was good,, and the price very reasonable. A couple of problems that occurred were sorted promptly. My only suggestions for improvement would be to improve the internet speed, and to offer larger bath towels!

It was a comfortable place to stay in an otherwise unappealing town.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel itself was beautiful, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. A special mention goes to Kateryna, who served us at breakfast. She was so lovely, attentive, and friendly, making each morning a pleasure. The breakfast team as a whole were fantastic and provided excellent service throughout our stay. What made our stay truly special was how the staff went above and beyond for our daughter's 3rd birthday. They surprised her by singing Happy Birthday, gave her a lovely teddy bear with the hotel's name on it, and presented her with a little cake on a plate decorated with a "Happy Birthday" message. These thoughtful touches meant so much to us and made our little girl's day extra special. We can't thank the staff enough for their kindness and for creating such wonderful memories for our family. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again in the future.
