Good location. Very comfortable room.
Everything perfect.

We have used this hotel before - it is consistently excellent.
Lounge area
Location was good for us. We didn’t have breakfast.
We very much needed a luggage rack. We did ask at reception but was told there wasn’t any. As we are elderly it meant we had to keep bending down to the floor which wasn’t ideal. Also a shower mat would have been good to prevent slipping.
Well looked after
Well good
Very clean and modern

Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and room was nicely furnished
The hotel is well located, close to the town centre. The room on the third floor was recently updated, so the decor and the bathroom was fresh and clean. The car area is cosy, and the selection of food and drink is great.
I found my bed mattress too soft, and it was really hot at night. The duvet was too thick for the temperature. The room doesn’t have air conditioning, so I can guess that in summer it must be pretty hot in it.
Good choice. Maybe some food could have been warmer.
Weather
Good location for our needs. Staff good. Restaurant (dinner and breakfast) good.
Having to pay for parking when residents of hotel.
Comfort, staff, room, food all excellent. Location ideal for our needs.
The room was not made up for our second night. Apparantly, we had to request a room refresh for the beds to be made etc. We have never encountered this before, but were told that the Cedar Court is a business hotel and that is normal procedure. We think they should be much more informative regarding this aspect. Breakfast was excellent, but there were dishes provided that had no description. This could lead to problems for people with specific dietary requirements. E.G. my wife is not allowed to eat grapefruit, but some of the dishes could well have had grapefruit in them and we would never have known. Again, we think that there should be specific information accompanying the dishes to ensure people do not inadvertantly consume something which was not suitable for them.
The Staff
Shame there's no grabb handle near bed in in accessible room so very difficult to dress with prosthetic leg and lift near reception too short in length for powerchair
Great professional and friendly staff, good bar and restaurant, big parking
Coffee machine in the room Breakfast selection and no queue to check out
I liked how open the hotel is and it felt very fresh and clean with the white decor. It had everything we needed and beds were very comfortable. My 2 year old was also a fan :)
Nothing
Good location and rooms were nice and comfortable, shower was excellent and the gym was an added bonus
No air con in the rooms so made it quite hot, admittedly it was during the heatwave but still would have been nice!
Nothing 🙃
This facility is not suitable for staying during the summer. There is no air conditioning or any other effective way to keep the rooms cool, which makes the stay very uncomfortable. Additionally, there is no proper air circulation in the corridors or lifts including rooms .The strong smell of cigarette smoke in these areas made my asthma worse and significantly affected my stay. Please also note that parking is not free. Guests have to pay separately for parking. Overall, I would not recommend this facility for a summer stay, especially for anyone who is sensitive to heat or cigarette smoke.
There were communications /messages sent from the hotel , just after I booked ,and also intermittently. A welcoming WhatsApp message sent to me on the day I was due to arrive at the hotel. My room was lovely. I was offered and accepted, a paid upgrade to a Superior room. The room was in a quiet location and had a large bed with incredibly soft bedding. There was also a particularly good smart T.V installed in the room. Air-conditioning is only available in the hotel public areas. I was quite worried about it, because I booked in on the hottest day of the year, so far. However, the standard fan in the room was perfectly adequate. Room security was excellent too. I made the mistake of locking myself out of my room. I explained my situation to one of the cleaning staff on my floor. She asked me a security question and called reception to check my answer before letting me back into my room. I was quite impressed by the staff training regarding random access request to hotels guest rooms.
I couldn't find any local hotel instructions (no card or in the T.V settings). The room could do with a small fridge just to keep food, snacks, and drinks cool. I don't get why the hotel is charging £4 daily for parking. There is nothing special about the car park that warrants the cost. The hotel has been refurbished - my hotel room was great - but the exterior facade of the hotel could also do with an update.
Excellent, good selection and well cooked
Car park fees should be included, in your booking rather than us having to use a machine that wasn't in use
All ok 👍 - staff , restaurant, big parking , quiet room
There should be upgrade with air conditioning in the rooms
ROOM WAS A VERY GOOD.
The staff, the food, the room
The noise, the price of food.
Great hotel lovely outside seating area friendly staff and great value for money.
paying extra to park the car
The exit from the car park. Main reception area is average, the rest is low quality and very dated
Food is terrible, rooms are dated, cashless hotel your forced to pay by card
Another great stay. Great location. Service amazing.
Trying to control the temperature.
I was very happy with the room. I have stayed at Cedar Court before and now know which floor I would like to stay on in the future. Comfortable bed with clean linen. A good choice of breakfast alternatives.
Minor complaint tbh. As a paying guest staying for longer than one night. I think parking should be free as there is a car park with ample spaces. I'm guessing they have their reasons but it feels a little bit stingy. Perhaps, the parking charge should be absorbed in the guests bill. It feels a little inconvenient after a four hour journey that I had to input my car details into a parking ticket machine on arrival.
Location and the room was beautiful and functional
The staff we encountered were curt and unwelcoming... particularly on arrival and at breakfast
Bed very comfortable
Scrambled eggs watery and tasteless for breakfast
Beautiful room, blackout curtains, clean
Paying for car parking
Only stayed one night. Room was a good siize, very comfortable, large comfy bed, nice bathroom, shower easy to operate.
Nothing
Great hotel in ideal location with excellent facilities. The hotel is very smart and clean with plenty of parking, located just off the M62 with easy access to several nice towns and cities. All The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The self check in and out was really easy and hassle free. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfy so a great night sleep. Didn't have an evening meal in the restaurant but did really enjoy the very good breakfast which gave a large and delicious choice of hot and cold food and drinks. Overall the stay was brilliant and would definitely recommend to anyone. A big thanks to all the staff.
Can't say anything negative about the hotel or the staff.
Friendly, clean, comfy and ideal location for us to visit our son. Lovely breakfast
Nothing not to like
Easy to find. Friendly welcome. Quick and clear reception. Tidy and clean. Comfortable rooms. Great shower. Firm mattress. Spacious lobby and bar area. Super breakfast - really great selection and good quality.
Paying to park. What? Doesn't insure my car so why add it. Just put it in the room price and I'd not notice?! Have a local beer in the bar? So many great local breweries. Noise dampener on room doors?
Great place literally straight off the M62. Cool staff, very clean and tidy rooms and bathrooms. Substantial brekkie in the morning. Can’t beat northern hospitality
Konferensstil. Fint rum.
Opersonligt.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Helped us book a taxi and took into account my.food intolerance.
Only.negative was our room was next to cleaning staff closet. So woken up early.with radios, banging etc. Everything else was great.
Great value for money.
Nothing Overnight stay great value for money.
The room was what we expected.the breakfast was good.the staff were pleasant and friendly.
went for breakfast at 8.30 the hot food could have been hotter.
Good location. Nice size rooms and facilities on site ok aka the restaurant and bar area.
Charges for car park. I have stayed before and never had to pay for parking. No air con for a 4 star hotel that’s poor in this day and age not to have air con. Staff rude and challenging no leniency for additional half an hour or up to an hour stay. Most 4 star hotels have always allowed the extra stay and never charged for it.
Nice and clean all round. Have a bar/ restaurant, but only used for breakfast.
I don’t particularly like buffet style breakfast, options were ok. Didn’t like the fact you could only get tea/coffee from machine. Especially as I can only take decaf, so could not get a decaf cappuccino as my preferred choice. They had a barista coffee machine at bar, so feel staff should have made a decaf cappuccino instead of just saying you have to have hot drink from machine.
Very clean and modern hotel. Comfortable bed. 24 hour check in out. Sports bar. Very helpful and friendly staff
Separate parking payment. Just add it to the bill or give it free to guests.
The hotel was very clean and tidy. Comfortable and quiet despite it being a busy Saturday evening. Staff were lovely and polite , a lovely relaxed stay
Only one thing I could fault was the gym equipment - odd weights made it difficult for a workout
Location, bar, sports room
No complaints
Grounds and area well tended and looked after. The staff were very helpful, polite with fabulous customer facing relations. They made me feel very welcome and resolved any issues quickly and professionally.
Location. Free pool and shuffleboard games in the Dug Out
Run down room and bag of dog poo on the steps for the duration of stay. Breakfast expensive and poor.
Friendly reception staff, very helpful. Put right our frustration and agreed to charge us £12, very good customer service 👌
Senior receptionist when we queried breakfast price said if we'd booked it the day before, £12 however because we hadn't when we were asked it was £15, except as we pointed out we weren't asked she said she'd have a word with staff yet still charged us £15.!!! Not very happy customers.!!!
The location, ambiance and cleanliness
Friendly staff on arrival, good room service
We have stayed with you before and had a good experience but last night we stayed and the bedding was dirty with mildew stains. Also we booked a late check out and got disturbed twice by housekeeping this morning before 1pm. The second staff member was very
Convenient, clean room,
Plate served breakfast was ffair to good but 9.30end for breakfast on a monday not good and probably not necessary. Car park charge.
Really lovely hotel, spacious, and welcoming! Very clean!
Handy for the motorway and my event venue
Nothing it was ok
The location and price.
Dirty cup and spoon in the room on arrival (but this was sorted out quickly with a call to reception). Breakfast coffee wasn't great. Can you swap the coffee machine for a bean or grounds to cup machine? Paths and garden area were a bit untidy, they just need some attention to detail.
Nice room
Sink plug didn’t work
It was fine; the window was open when I arrived, so the air was nice and fresh. There were plenty of parking spaces, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The coffee and orange juice were good at breakfast.
I was a bit disappointed by the breakfast. There was no muesli or granola with nuts and seeds, which I strongly prefer. Not all places were set for breakfast; I had to pinch a knife from another table, and I requested a plate for my toast and was directed to a very hot, large dinner plate. The breakfast time wasn't extended on Monday 6th, despite the fact that a later time would have been appreciated by most who watched the football the previous night.
The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfy. The whole hotel is very clean and welcoming.staff are very welcoming and friendly.
Nothing.
Comfortable, helpful staff, great breakfast, relaxing atmosphere.
Nothing really
Good

Lovely hotel nice interior.

Car park charges
Great friendly welcome and staff. Great location for a gig at The Piece Hall in Halifax. Easy accessible
Hotel was slightly taken over by a celebration of life limiting the use of the bar and lounge areas to people staying in the hotel.
Friendly staff. Good communal areas. Location good for motorway, but very noisy, so poor sleep.
Dated bedroom. Bathroom wallpaper peeling off walls and grout dirty around bath. Tired.
Beautifully designed
The cleaner opened our door at 10.15 when we weren’t due to check out until 11
Excellent friendly service George R excellent member of staff
There are 2 VERY different types of rooms, Make sure to ask for a refurbished room. The unrefurbished is horrible, dirty, very poor quality, would not recommend!!
Brucey was very hospitable and sound
George R was great. Very professional
George R was class really helpful!!!
Went to the restaurant for dinner with friends who were staying there. The menu choice was classic English food. I ordered the butterfly chicken at £20. Others ordered other dishes that looked ok. But my butterfly chicken was the most pitiful piece of chicken I have ever seen served on any plate of food that cost more than £2 I have ever seen. It was very small and very thin. And overcooked. It came with chunky chips which were ok but so disappointed with chicken that it’s pushed my to write this review. The hotel has improved in other areas such as the decor and the rooms but this review is only for my restaurant experience. I will not be eating there again.
Lovely restaurant and gym. Rooms are lovely and big and very clean
Nothing particular but I’ve stayed twice now and the room costs were vastly different
Came for a wedding & had a fabulous time. Food, venue were great. Room was spotless with plenty of room. Definitely recommend
Visited for my dads wedding- brilliant day the staff couldn’t be more accomatating. Charlotte B and Abbey were fantastic from start to finish. Thanks so much x
Visited Cedar Court last weekend for a wedding and stayed over. What a fantastic hotel with great staff! Rooms were spotless, couldn’t fault a thing! The wedding ran smoothly and staff could not do enough for us. Breakfast in the morning was also 10/10 with so much selection. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back again.
Location
Cleanliness of room Lack of staff present Lack of welcome Hot room Noisy guests from a function disturbed sleep
Attended a wedding reception which was well organised and enjoyable. However, the card only payment rule is discriminatory against older people and represents poor customer service. While the staff were helpful the management are clearly out of touch and clueless. You should be catering for everyone not just younger peopke. I feel let down and discriminated against.
Easy to get to and good location. Pleasant aspect.
Sadly my trip was ruined by very noisy internal heating system that made sleep impossible. Constant banging and metallic noises coming through room ceiling literally all night. Never again !
I visit Cedar Court for co-working around once a month and always have a great experience. The staff are friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. The facilities are excellent, the atmosphere is comfortable, and it's a great place to work. Highly recommended.
Superb location, excellent staff, super food, quiet comfortable room
Nothing
The food was excellent and service provided by Izzy was excellent too. Will be eating in the hotel again when on business.
I come here to predominantly go to the gym - however it’s the service in the main foyer area that keeps me coming back. Izzy and Laura are exceptional - always helpful and willing to create the finest coffees for me. I drink these often. The key strength of this establishment are the staff 100%
Comfy beds, tea, coffee, water. Nice shower/hand gel. Smart TV, lots of channels. Restaurant and bar. Friendly staff.
We had to book for the restaurant for an evening meal, choice of 6.45 or 7.15..we chose 6.45pm. On being seated we couldn't really see why, the restaurant wasnt very busy. Ordered drinks and food, the drinks came but by 8pm when people had eaten and gone, we still hadn't had food, we'd obviously been forgotten about. Offer of free drink/dessert or 50% off the bill in compensation. We took the latter.
