Grand Hotel Ocean City Oceanfront

I like that the Grand has food, shopping, bike rentals and everything needed at one place.

Couldn't use the lobby doors to the boardwalk since it was being replaced and this year the Grand started charging for parking everyday and this will be a deal breaker for us every year. We always stay every year but we wrote down some others we liked and will have to make a change for next year. If you wanted to charge for parking just add it to the room rates but getting hit with $11 a day surprise isn't good.

It just a absolute beautiful place to stay we usually always stay there around Christmas

Bed was comfortable.

Room is very dated. Bathroom is extremely small with no exhaust fan. Not even an inch space between the bathroom door when opening and toilet. Door room jam was broke in half/unusable. No clock in room, no outlet by bed to charge phone. I got cut and my husband went to the front desk for a bandaid, was told by staff CVS is on 17th street. Can't believe there is not a first aid kit at the front desk. Very expensive hotel but very cheap in supplying guests with anything. Not impressed. Would not recommend.

We like that there was a bar and restaurant right in the hotel.

The smell of grease downstairs was terrible and the perfume scent in the lobby was extremely irritating to even minor allergies. Housekeeping cleaned the floors and bathrooms and provided towels but not only did they not change sheets they didn’t even make the bed.

Central air conditioner 9not a private unit)was loud, bathrooms are small, when you get out of shower, you are almost in the toilet. The food at the restaurant on 6th floor was not very good, But we found good food nearby after first attempt there!

Perfect location at a quieter part of the boardwalk. Staff was extremely friendly.

It was a bit outdated - the bathroom in our room was so small the door would hit the commode. Definitely needed some updating and the cleanliness of the carpet and areas in hotel could use some extra care.

Loved the convenience of the parking to the hotel,clean,beautiful views,friendly staff. Very nice pool areas as well.

How expensive the hotel food was & would have really enjoyed having a broom in the room to get the sand off the floor throughout our stay. Would have also been nice to have the bar open while the kids were playing in the pool.

I loved how clean the room and hotel was. I loved being direct ocean front.

The front staff was not very friendly at all especially the one lady. She seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. I understand people have bad days, but she wasn't friendly at check in or anytime I had interactions with her. Paying $10 a day to park is ridiculous. We are already paying a lot of money to stay at a nice hotel, you would think parking would be included. I've stayed there a few times before and never had to pay for parking. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and we had ro evacuate. The staff never made an announcement that we could re-enter.

I really wish they would upgrade the hotel. Bathrooms really need it. We have been staying here for years and something finally needs to be done. We are gonna check out other hotels for our future visits.

Room smelled like someone had smoked in it even though they’re nonsmoking rooms. We also were woken up out of bed at 1am and had to evacuate the hotel due to the smoke alarm/sprinkler system going off. Not sure I would stay again.

The Direct ocean view was exceptional! , the hotel located at the end of the boardwalk, very close to everything. The hotel has alot of restaurants , stores, coffee shop in the first floor which is amazing.

The air conditioner was a loud once it started to turn on which was not comfortable and it was disturbing while sleeping specially for my little daughter. We were expecting that the room kitchenette has a stove , however it was not , only microwave and a little fridge. The room access key stop working several times and we had to go to the lobby to get another one. Other than that , the hotel is amazing and close to the beach and right on the calm area of the boardwalk.

We really enjoyed the oceanfront balcony and the pool. We also enjoyed the cafe downstairs, the convenience of being on the boardwalk, and the overall cleanliness of the room. The beds were okay, but pretty firm. The AC threw consistently cold air, and the TV worked properly the entire stay.

When we first arrived, my boyfriend noticed there was urine in front of the toilet after stepping in it that wasn’t cleaned up prior to us checking in to our room; however, once we called down to the front desk, they were quick to send housekeeping up to clean it. This was the only cleanliness issue we had. Also, our refrigerator in our room wasn’t working properly, but they sent up maintenance and they were kind enough to swap out our fridge. The water pressure in shower could be better. The bathroom is pretty small. Later in the week and pretty late at night, our keycards stopped working and maintenance had to come up and swap the batteries in our doorcard reader. We were evacuated one night around 2AM for an alleged faulty fire alarm on the 9th floor.

Everything was very clean! The bed was very comfortable. We had a great view of the ocean. The property was right on the boardwalk, so we could walk to restaurants and entertainment. The outdoor pool was amazing.

Breakfast sandwiches and ice cream we got there were so delicious. Loved our stay! 3rd time there and we'll be back:)

I liked it more than I expected to. Everything was great. Yes the hotel is older, but it’s kept up. The room was large and clean. Beds were comfy. The hallways could definitely using a good carpet scrub, but overall, it was great. Incredibly convenient. One stop shop for sure.

The price of the restaurants inside of the hotel. My medium cold latte was $10 and our breakfast was $55 for 2 people for eggs and bacon and coffees. The overall price is definitely high for a basic east coast beach stay. I loved the hotel but they charge too much. This is ocmd not the carribean.

Bed was comfortable. View was wonderful. House keeping was great. The food was good and the bar at the pool mixed nice drinks. Check in was easy . we got lucky and we're able to park right in front .

We didn't like the fact that there were no walls between the balconies just bars. We could stay closer to the active part of the boardwalk for the same price and have a more private balcony. Thats the only real issue we have .

The price was not bad. They had places to eat, but the places to eat were a little pricey, one side parking was an option

The pillows were terrible. The bed or boxspring made noises when you lay on the bed. In the shower when you turned it on and made a loud sound the entire time. From what I read online from my understanding parking was $10 for the covered area when I arrived they told me it was $10 to park in general. It didn’t matter if it was covered or not.

The only things I liked were being close to the beach, the swimming pools, and the pool bar.

I was very disappointed that one night of my reservation was canceled even though I had paid and had sent a message in advance explaining that I would be arriving late. I was also told that the hotel had a sauna, and the property advertised a sauna, but when we arrived, there was no sauna available. This was very disappointing and misleading.

I love the location. It was right on the boardwalk. It was clean! Staff were friendly. We had to go back and get about 11 different key cards though that’s my only complaint they quit working continuously other than that it was a great place.

The Grand is definitely one of our favorites: location, amenities, easy beach access, restaurants are all great. We love the large rooms, closet and kitchenette. Balcony was nice and had beautiful ocean view, the railings could use a painting. The Hotel is very clean.

The only negative is the mattresses and pillow are not comfortable. We have noticed lately that the mattresses and pillows are lacking luxurious comfort of hotels in this price range. We could feel the springs in the mattresses and the pillows are lumpy, too soft. We really want to continue visiting, but mattress/pillow upgrades are really needed!

The view was very good, overlooking the ocean, which was my request. So no complaints there. The parking garage was convenient, but I should not have been charged as a guest.

Since I went through booking.com, I was not entitled to other upgrades even though I requested a king-size bed with no children. I know there were other rooms available. So, the games being played is very disappointing to experience, considering I paid well over $250 per night for this room. The room and facilities are tired. The room key kept deactivating if it was next to a cell phone in my wife's pocketbook. Had to get it reset three times. Entry to get into the room was fickle, and the door seemed to be swollen or very tight to open. It took me, as a man, some strength to push the door open. No shower coming off the beach to rinse your feet. A beachside hotel should always have this. The breakfast sit-down restaurant was fair at best at a premium price. I would not recommend it. This place needs a facelift.

Terrible experience with the front desk staff and hotel. Do not book here! I paid in advance for a three-night stay. A family emergency kept us from arriving on the first night, so I called that morning to let them know. The woman who answered told me it was no problem, mentioned parking was $10 per day, and assured me we’d be fine. She never noted it in the system. When we arrived the next day, our reservation had been canceled as a no-show — and my card had already been charged for all three nights. The only solution offered was to rebook at the current rate and wait 7–10 business days for a refund on money I’d already paid. No one attempted to accommodate us. No manager was offered. Just “sorry, that’s our policy — if you don’t show, you get canceled.” The fact that I called ahead and was told I’d be fine didn’t matter to anyone. I understand hotels have policies. What I don’t understand is being penalized for a mistake your staff made. I left and book at the Hilton Inn garden, right next door!!

It’s right on the board walk, making it ideal to go to beach or just enjoy the boardwalk.

Mattress not comfortable. Charging for parking but no available handicapped parking that i need when we had to park. Called ahead to see if specific room available and was quoted an amount. Then I found the room cheaper on another site for this hotel and it said best available so I asked for the room I had called about 15 minutes earlier and then it was not available. Seems funny to me.

We stay at the Grand Hotel two times a year, and every time we had an excellent experience.

The room was very comfortable. Fantastic view of the ocean. The room was clean and had good amenities. I enjoyed all of the other attached shops in the hotel, as well as the pools. The parking garage was a nice feature, too.

The wifi was extremely slow, so I had to use my phone's hotspot for important tasks. The water pressure in the room's shower was awful and the shower head made a whistling noice that persisted through all uses.

The game rooms & pool tables need attention. I booked this place specifically because my son really likes to play pool and video games. They had 3 pool tables (1 in the lobby and 2 on the 2nd floor) but there wasn't a piece of pool chalk to be found on the entire property. One of the tables upstairs was jammed and usable and only 1 pool cue upstairs had a tip on it. Also 1/4 of the screen was dead on the Space Invaders game upstairs and overall there weren't alot of options for video games. Lastly the carpet in the hallways DESPERATELY needs to be steam cleaned.

Hotel was in an excellent area. It was quiet and family oriented. There was no loud music or rowdy people. I felt like the kids were safe to run around.

Property was great. Variety of restaurants, mini arcade, pizza/italian place, walking distance to kid zip lining and golf, mini grocery mart and gift shops.

The card kept deactivating. Had to have it reset twice since we came: Staff over all were great expect the arcade and pool area where it’s suppose to close at 11. By 1030 a staff got angry that people were still there and he wanted to clean up so he was slamming door and giving attitude which was a turn off. My families and a few other guest left due to that. But front desk staff and hotel staffs were polite and courteous. Bathroom was a bit small. The floor rug kept getting caught in the bathroom door every time we opened. But overall a great stay.

We had a ton of mosquitoes in our room when we arrived. The key cards kept getting demagnetized and we had to constantly go to the front desk, wait in line, and then get them re-coded. I know it would be a costly expense to redo the locks, but it really is an annoyance for the guest (and I’m sure the staff)

This hotel is for not only Adults but also a family friendly hotel . They have indoor outdoor pool . Gaming zone in 3 floors . They have restaurants as well I like Everything about this hote . I would go again if i go ocean city

If you want to play billiard in the lobby you have to pay for it . It must be free for the guest .

I was not happy that the indoor pool handicap left wasn’t working despite us calling ahead of time and being told it was working. The person that I was with who has multiple sclerosis couldn’t get out of the pool he had to be lifted out by 5 to 6 army men while the staff member working at the hotel just took off.

Sunday night 8.16.26 after 1am the hotel had to evacuate for an apparent small fire on room 6?.. is what we heard based on chatter. There was one hotel employee there and did not say anything or give an announcement. There was no order and we were outside for over 40min after midnight and nothinh was offered to compensate.

The location was great. Staff was very nice and the room we had on 2nd floor was spacious cool and clean.

The carpeted hallway leading to the room was very dirty and needs to be cleaned/replaced. The deck area needs updating, there was no privacy when sitting. out there, the separations between room decks was not a wall but a rusty see through piece of metal and other guests frequently invited themselves into our conversations. There was no AC in the hotel main areas or restaurant on the 6th floor. Also, I used the fitness center daily, there was no AC in this room, the ceiling fan didn't work, neither TV came in clear and the bicep curl machine is about to fall apart! I asked the hotel staff to report the fan in that room didn't work, and on my last day of use, it was still not working.
