The room have roaches and the Carpet was stained. I didn't not like bugs especially ROACHES and that made me very uncomfortable. Also, my son developed a mysterious rash around his ankle. The mattresses in room 419 needs replacing because it looked disgusting.

Clean, nice location

We were awoken at 2 o’clock in the morning. The HVAC system was roaring very loudly and the room was not cooling down. Contacted the front desk. Nobody was available to fix it. We did request a fan. The next morning agreed to send a technician to look at it. At that point, it did start blowing cold air again however the noise continued. They agreed to move us to an upgraded room on the same level and they said they would expedite the move. After several hours, I contacted them for an update and I was told we could have a different room which would be a few level down. It was getting later in the day, so I just accepted it. I did ask for a compensation due to the lack of sleep and the hot room and they said they would compensate me 50% of one night stay. I believe they should’ve given us one free night.

We were really disappointed in our stay. This hotel did not feel like a Hyatt. The first hour really set the tone. Our room wasn’t ready on time and we were supposed to be notified by phone when it was ready, which never happened. I ended up checking in on it at 4:30 and they were magically able to get us in. The lobby and halls stunk of mildew combined with abundant air fresheners. I heard screaming and crying on the elevator and waited for it to open. The elevator had broken down for 10 minutes with this poor mom and her 3 very young children/babies. They were terrified and on the phone with 911. After helping get her and the children off safely, I called the front desk and they acted as if it wasn’t a big deal and that they’ve been working on it. So I asked why there were no signs up “oh that’s a good idea”, nothing ever came of it. There were 3 towel’s and washclothes for 4 of us. I went to the front desk for more as we were about to shower “they’ll be right up behind you”. An hour later the towels came. The beds are not supported and sunk into the middle even with our 60 lb child on them. The wallpaper was peeling from the walls of the bathroom. Could hear barking dogs. No water in room to welcome as Hyatt members, no beach service of any sort. Highly disappointed for a room that was over $600 per night. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Elevators kept getting stuck

Second time staying at this hotel and my last. At check in I discovered even though the hotel is listed as “oceanfront” my room would be at the adjacent building across a busy street, not ideal for a family with little ones getting to the beach. Did pay for an “upgrade” even though staff initially stated there were no other options. Unfortunately my “ocean view” room had a lovely view of the dumpster across the street and a loud kitchen exhaust. -The outdoor pool was nice but surprisingly chilly but the indoor pool water was too murky and even my kids wouldn’t use it. - The breakfast was a huge disappointment. The scrambled eggs were a mushy, tasteless mess. Kielbasa (odd choice for breakfast) was flavorless and looked to be a very cheap meat product. The fruit was sour and possibly spoiled. My kids wouldn’t eat the food and that’s saying a lot since breakfast is the only thing they consistently eat. Only thing they ate was the waffle and even that had a huge line. - The WiFi was completely unusable. Too slow and wouldn’t stay connected for more than 2 mins. Overall the high cost of the rooms is not in line with expectations. There are better options available for less. My most disappointing Ocean City stay and I’ve been coming for 20 years.

I had a room with a beach facing balcony. The room and bathroom were clean. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast included many options, except the eggs were powdered and the hot items were warm to cold. I would return except I felt the quality of the experience did not come up to the $600 a night cost.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Hyatt Place. Went for a girls trip and we had a great time. We had a suite in the annex building so we enjoyed both pools. Shoutout to Colleen at the pool bar who makes amazing Orange Crushes!!

I have stayed and plenty of Hyatt hotels and Hilton hotels and never had this experience in a room! Stand up shower was terrible, grout looked dirty, hand towels in the bathroom when we got there were yellow as if they were purchased because the hotel ran out, very ghetto! Box spring around the edges looked dity..we asked for a different room from original because ac fan was very loud..then to go to a room that looked like whatvi described was very disappointing! Also the deadbolt lock did not work!! Room 504!

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The only staff members who were consistently kind and welcoming were the housekeeping team, and I truly appreciated them. Unfortunately, the customer service and hospitality from the front desk completely ruined my experience. I drove four hours from Pennsylvania and didn’t arrive until around 2:00 a.m. I was checking in as a walk-in, but there were computer issues that prevented the front desk from completing my check-in properly. Because of that, I was simply walked to my room without receiving any of the usual information, such as breakfast hours, the Wi-Fi password, pool hours, or checkout details. The entire interaction felt cold, unprofessional, and unwelcoming. The following day, I went to ask about pool access. Since I had checked in at 2:00 a.m., I honestly believed my checkout would be the following day. Instead of simply explaining that checkout was at 11:00 a.m. and that pool access was no longer available after checkout, the woman at the front desk spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner. She made me feel little and embarrassed me in front of my children and treated me as though I was trying to get something for free or hadn’t paid for my stay. Misunderstandings happen, and I would have completely understood the policy if it had been explained respectfully. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and courtesy from the front desk left such a negative impression that I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel to others.

Pets are welcome but makes the place smell like pets. Makes it feel unclean.

Pools were closed for cleaning during peak hours of the day. We requested a microwave for the room, and were made to feel as though it was a bother. And had to do a follow up call after a couple hours of it not showing up.

The swimming pool water was entirely too cold. Even my seven year old grandson didn't swim last Thursday because the water was so cold. We purposely choose a hotel with a pool. My daughter and I couldn't stand to even stand in it because it was too cold

Bar service was awful, breakfast was terrible as well. Area was dirty, no bowls, food containers empty and coffee was disgusting. Parking to load/unload my vehicle was a pain, area was super congested with zero assistance from hotel staff.

I paid $500 for an ocean front room and I was slightly underwhelmed. I think the building could use a facelift. It wasn’t as nice as I expected it to be for the price. On the upside the staff were friendly, we got an early check in and we had a good experience at the bar/ restaurant.

Clean, modern, and attention to detail! This hotel was very nice, updated, clean, and kept up. It blows other OC hotels out of the water. The price may be higher but it is worth the comfort. Free breakfast, nice parking lot, outdoor shower to rinse off sand, complimentary waters, good quality bed linens and towels, nice quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash. 3 nice pools to pick from and several areas to eat in the building… Pool bar, indoor restaurant, Franco’s pizza below on boardwalk. Pet friendly and everyone’s pets were behaved and non disturbing. Safe Family friendly place to relax and enjoy your stay.

Dog friendly There was a dog in our room next-door. As soon as the owners left, all it did was whine and bark and make noises all day long and in the evening also. Overnight, it would also make the noises and I would hear the people going in and out of the room to take the dog out. We didn’t get much sleep. We even checked out a day earlier.

The location was great. Housekeeping was wonderful, Nika was great.

The room was clean and spacious. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, though the refrigerator was tiny.

Not only was this not oceanfront, it was an ANNEX to the hotel, ACROSS THE STREET. “City view” in the room description implies location in the building, not a completely separate location! This room, at your discounted price, was $500+ per night! There was NO staff in the building. A sign at the lobby desk said for services GO TO THE OTHER BUILDING. My husband forgot his toothbrush and had to go to the other building latte at night to get one. Breakfast was very crowded, and food was cold. Outside the elevator on our floor there were 3 huge laundry storage carts that filled the area and blocked the windows. There was a very strong chemical smell at the entrance, possibly carpet cleaner? It caused a headache every time, but was the only entrance! Management was very sympathetic, but was limited in what they could do since we booked offsite. The manager said she could get us only a small credit from booking.com (since we hadn’t booked direct ..which was $200 more per night! ) Definitely NOT what we expected from a Hyatt.

The location near 15rh street is great. The hotel is comprised of two buildings. The main building is oceanfront. The second building is on the other side of the highway. The breakfast is average. The rooms were clean but slightly dated. This is a great option if you need to sleep 6 in a room for a short stay.

Room very nice and spacious. Checkout woman was excellent and very accommodating at time of checkout. Location is very good, attached restaurant very good and excellent customer service. Our waiter was the best!

Floor little sticky. it was odd texture and felt gritty. The hallway to get to room was dirty. The cleaning people had already been by and had left a pizza box, and wrappers and other papers outside of our room. Not a good sign to see the trash on floor surrounding area of your doo. First front desk gentleman was ok, not overly friendly, said would text when room ready, NEVER received a text. Wanted to use changing room inside of pool area and couldn't access without a key.

Be prepared to pay big money for an Ocean Front Room, so you can have a Barking Jack Russel Terrier as your next door neighbor and the Hotel will be completed powerless to do anything about it. The Hotels on either side of this one Do Not allow Dogs, For obvious reasons, All of the dogs are at the Hyatt

Room view was not good also didn’t like the fact that on balcony it brights lights outside that stays on all night hard to sit on balcony at night hrs

The housekeeping didn’t fully clean the rooms only put new towels ,emptied the Trash cans a roll of toilet paper never put fresh linens on 5he bed 😡

We loved our Memorial Weekend at this property even though it was raining quite a bit. Everyone was very sweet and accommodating. Martesha is a gem!

I have not stayed here yet but I got high hopes. I had a slight issue booking online but I called the front desk and a manager named Martesha made it right and really went above and beyond. So far the customer service here is excellent and I’m sure the hotel will be as well

When I searched the property on booking I selected Oceanfront. My room stated sea view from balcony, so expected a room on the side with ocean view. Upon arrival at the ocean front property I was told we were in a new location across the street. The hotel staff was nice enough to move us to the oceanfront hotel. The booking filters were misleading.

Colleen was very sweet and my favorite bartender ever! We love her and all of them are missed every time we leave!

Not thrilled about paying for parking or not being able to eat any food of my choice in the dinning area and the television wasn't working properly and the internet kept getting interrupted.

Not to happy with Hyatt. Rm245 bed are sink in, very uncomfortable. New mattresses are needed. My back is still hurting and I left yesterday. The shower had hair in it, there were old finger nails or toe nails on the floor. And the bedding smelled like mildew..

Room was 65 when arrived adjusted temp to 73 (air). Air ran constant never got over 68. Called and engineer he dismissed us. He set temp to 78 and said give it two hours. Still 68 running constant. We turned heat on to seventy to go to bed. During night woke up to 78. Complained. Desk clerk rolled her eyes and dismissed complaints. Told her the engineer was worthless. She said that was rude. Told her i was an engineer for over 30 years. Will not be returning. Told her the thermostat needed replaced she did not care. Glassed over.

Only thing liked was location. Have been going there for years

The bathroom shower heads were broken. The housekeeping staff for the suite building 101 was not available when needed (could be because of less occupancy at the suite building)

My first visit to the Hyatt was simply to meet up with my cousins for drinks, but it turned into a memorable experience thanks to Coleen at the lobby bar. Her service was exceptional—she was attentive, efficient, and consistently delivered great drinks with a friendly attitude. She also provided excellent local recommendations that made our visit even more enjoyable. Coleen’s hospitality truly stood out and is a big reason I’ll be choosing to stay at this Hyatt on future trips.

We were a family of 4 adults, and the room was perfect for us. There were 2 beds and a couch. The room was lovely, we had an oceanfront with a balcony. The balcony had a small table and chairs, which was nice on the drizzly days. Our view was perfect. We enjoyed breakfast each morning in the lobby. The last day was extremely busy and the staff did an amazing job at trying to keep up. It was the first time we ever had a fire alarm sound while at a hotel, and the staff did an amazing job handling the situation, and promptly got us back in our rooms. The shower head was very powerful, but we liked it. It was very forceful so might be rough for small children. We will definitely stay there again, and would definitely recommend staying there. We had no problems finding parking , they offer plenty. everyone was friendly and helpful.
