Crystal Beach Hotel

Breakfast was very good. The location was easy to get around. We liked the parking garage since we were on motorcycles. Also, having a balcony with a nice view of the ocean was a plus.

A localização é boa porém até o píer tem que andar bastante até as atrações, principalmente para quem tem crianças ! Só não gostei que fiquei em um prédio ao lado e quando queria ir ao bar tinha que sair de onde eu estava !

I loved that it was right on the boardwalk and my view was the ocean. The room was a good size and the beds were really comfortable slept well in them. Staff was friendly and asked everyday if I needed anything. That there was big bottles of shampoo and body wash not those tiny little things that barely have enough for one use. That there was a restaurant by the one pool and food and drinks were great at the Barracuda staff there was friendly also.

Probably that there wasn’t an inside pool for those rainy days or don’t want to be out in the sun. That you have to pay for parking each day while staying there that should be included since you are staying at that hotel. No designated area for people that smoke.

A little more polish is needed but a good visit

Everything was real good for us. We did not have room service the 3-day we stayed but when we needed anything the staff were very accommodating and kind. Only thing that would be great would be if I could get really good rates and come to the hotel more often. Send coupons :-)

Everything! From cleanliness to customer service. It's been 5 years since my family started staying at crystal beach hotel, everytime we are pleased with our stay and continue to do so for our summer vacation.

Not finding Bible in our drawers.

Perfect location on the boardwalk, beautiful oceanfront view, very clean, comfortable, and accommodating. Convenient parking. Two pools on site are well maintained & clean. The rooftop pool area is a great chill spot for adults & kids to catch some sun, cool off in the pool, and grab some great food & drinks from Barracuda’s Bar & Grill for a great price! Super friendly, welcoming, & attentive staff.

The ocean view, conveinence to the breakfast/bar . Beds were very comfy.

The five adult sleeping area was bad. The sofa bed was missing springs and fifth person slept on the couch which was uncomfortable.

Everything was very nice. The only thing was paying for parking this year.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It's on the boardwalk. You step out and you're there. Remember that you are the far end of the boardwalk. It can be good or bad depending on your preferences. Crowds have thinned out but there are fewer stores. The pool and the bar looked good, especially the food, although we didn't eat there. Plenty of restaurants and convenience store nearby

This is an older hotel, and it shows. There is no central air, at least in the section we were staying at. The room unit constantly cycles, so you go from hot to freezing. We had a room with two (queen?) beds but they basically filled the room. I especially don't like hotels with the lobby on the second floor. Parking was tight but you can find a spot. Price-wise, they were very competitive with other boardwalk hotels.

This was my second stay and this time is was not a good experience. Several housekeeping issues, maintenance issue

I called 2 times and spoke with reservations and requested our 2 rooms to be close together and the were on separate floors and the male at the check in desk could of cared less he was not nice at all and had very poor customer service i suggested he leave his attitude at home next time we have stayed at this hotel a number of times and we have friends and family we have sent your way .

It had gummy bears on the floor left behind by the previous people…the blanket on the one bed had what looked like a blood stain….and we saw a roach…finally you’re required to pay $35 to park

Staff exceptional! Cleanliness excellent, everything in room was functional. We had balcony facing ocean which was wonderful.

Beautiful location ...We had 2 cars , plenty of room next to the hotel for free parking for the 2nd. Car ..Comfortable beds I slept great...Big bathroom , clean...Great view for the full on ocean and sun sets..

Now there's a extra parking fee added ..Room already paid for...parking fee isn't fair...I was thrown off about the $ 59.00 dollar parking fee...

I found this hotel very enjoyable. Beds were comfortable, clean. We used the coffee maker and refrigerator/freezer. I would stay here again. Very easy to get to beach. The only downfall was parking garage that had no elevator just stairs. I loved the ocean front room.

Good location. Quiet and peaceful

The hotel was a little old. The lobby was very crowded and hot during check-in, and our room wasn’t ready on time. The pool was small and dirty, and the water pressure was very low.

Very clean rooms . I also like that we got extra towels without any problems. Housekeeping excellent 👌.

Coffe machine not working

To everyone who worked at reception: I give a "five plus"—they were very attentive people, and the service was 100% perfect.

I stayed at this hotel for eight days, and the housekeeping was terrible. Even though I asked, the bathroom wasn't cleaned a single time during those eight days—yet they still took the tips. I had to ask them to clean several times before they finally came.

Parking

Very old Tv with no batteries in the remote . broken toilet, STAIN MATTRESSES, broken PHONE I was not able to reach the office. No safe. i had 2 cars I was told o well got to go find elsewhere in public for my wife’s car I offer to pay extra still no help there were several parking spots in 3rd and 4th floors. I will NEVER GIVE MY BUSINESS TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.

Spent xtra money for jacuzzi tub. Nice size. Took too long to fill without any hot water. Not worth the extra money. Use the money for ocean front balcony

The cleaning lady took my personal washcloths and the the dirty ones and didn’t bring us any clean ones. This happened in both our rooms. Our persoanl washclothes were different color. Reported to the front desk our coffee machine wasn’t working but they didn’t bring us a new one

Everyday I had to go ask for washclothes and towels, we had 4 in our room and everyday were only given 2

On the boardwalk so that is nice but only if you’re in the front building.

Absolutely COVERED IN MOLD. they were out of washcloths pretty much our entire stay there they would take washcloths but not give them back and we only had our room cleaned twice during our six night stay and they didn’t even vacuum the floors. when voicing the issue of the room not being oceanfront room they didn’t have anything to compensate with (even though it was booked oceanfront). Both of the pools are very tiny and packed all the time, especially since the weather was not great. The room was also so small in comparison to the bathroom you couldn’t even get on one side of the bed because the air conditioner was there. the shower was so small that as soon as you turned on the showerhead, the water is going on the floor and there’s no way to position the showerhead so you don’t have a puddle. Pictures are from on top of the kitchen cabinets. The also a panel open behind the fridge that my animals tried to escape into the walls.

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved being right on the beach. The food at the Barracuda restaurant in the hotel was DELICIOUS and their staff were great. The housekeeping and front desk employees were so helpful when we needed anything for our room. We were also happy that we could bring our dog. Next time we visit OC we will stay there again.

Great view from the balcony.

We stayed in room 337 and the room next door to us had multiple people (at least 7) staying in the room. Our last night there we were woken to pounding on the door next to ours and yelling for the people in the room to let them in. It started at 1am and continued until 3 am. My husband called the front desk and asked that someone address the fight and beating on the door next to our room. There were children crying in the hallway and yelling to open the door to let them in. They were screaming and yelling in Spanish. Once the man in the room answered the door the fight moved into the hallway with screaming and yelling. It was very unnerving and obviously was not going to end! My husband finally had enough and decided it was safer to leave the premises. As we were walking out of the door of our room a young girl and older woman were in the hall fighting and yelling. I stopped at the front desk to report this issue again and to have it addressed (call the police) but was unable to find anyone. Once in the car and started our 8-hour drive home at 3am, I called the hotel and spoke with a woman named Eve. She had stated that she was not at the desk because she was in the room talking to the people there. I explained that we had to leave because all of the pounding and yelling and fear of what might happen. She needed to call the police. I asked her to have a manager call me, but it has been 3 days, and no one has called. Also, 2 lights burnt out in the bathroom and should have been fixed before we arrived.

I was thinking that the break fast is included. But it was unfortunate.

The second day of service was not like our expectations (founded the trash can without bag, Hand wash tray was not cleaned, the bed sheet didn't change.)

Oceanfront location

No room service entire visit, shower had very slow drain, reported to front office with no repair during our stay. No room service cleaning, had to ask for clean bathroom linens and toilet paper everyday. The beds were old and hard. I paid a lot of money for disappointment. Will never stay or recommend to family and friends. Some of front desk associates were rude as well.

Conveniences of pool and ease to boardwalk

Room temperature control and manager availability, I was supposed to be contacted by manager about air conditioning problem......never was ,and ppl at the counter were unavailable for assistance

If you are a smoker they don’t let you smoke but outside downstairs. You can’t even smoke on the balcony. The lady who checked us in was supposed to tell me that when we checked in but she was to busy falling asleep and didn’t tell me anything but my room number. Then had a $200 damage charge saying we smoked in the room which never happened. Yes we smoked on the balcony because we were never told. But we were responsible and put them in a cup with water. The funny thing is we didnt even get room service so how did they say our room smelled like smoke? Every time we went out we had our do not disturb sign up so that means they went in the room which never should have happened. They did refund the money as the one lady from the desk went to the room and said it did not smell like smoke.

I love that it’s located right on the boardwalk and beach. The room was clean. Balcony with chairs was really nice, we even had a pretty decent ocean view even though we didn’t have an ocean front room. We had room 501, it was in the ocean front building but we had a side room. I was still able to get really good pics of the sunrise in the morning from my balcony. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The lobby areas were clean and smelled good!

I don’t have too many complaints, other than I’m not a fan of the jet tub and small corner shower. I would’ve rather had a bigger shower, I don’t really like bath tubs in hotel rooms, especially jet tubs. Just not my preference. Mattress was a little firm, but again just not what I prefer.

This was our second time staying at this hotel we tried one of the other hotels and we decided that this is our favorite we will be back next year

Nice location in the middle of the boardwalk, staff was polite, and the bar/grill was really good with excellent bartenders.

The shower didn’t drain so the tub would fill up with water. The toilet made a loud squeak when flushing, waking each other up if we needed to use it during the night. Full set of new towels were brought into our room only one night.

It was right on the beach

It wasn’t very spacious , beds were hard and made sleeping very hard, some of the lights didn’t work, parking garage flooded .
