Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Family friendly. Kids pool and splash park, cribs, high chairs/booster seats and colouring amenities in Lakeside restaurant. Pools were enjoyable, buffet breakfast had lots of variety.
Resort is old and run down, needs some tlc. Staff at Islands were rude and unwelcoming when we tried to eat there, we went off resort instead.
Location was good. Calm, clean. Pools were clean and nice 👍
Furniture was old .
The pools were beautiful. Like that they r open till 11 & indoor till 1. Staff was nice. Island bar staff was amazing. Friendly. Loved the art work paintings around. Could keep the pools open longer.
I hadn't been to this hotel in over 10 years & to see the carpets r still there. No hard wood floors. The mildew & stains that they have isn't good for the guests. Also rooms r small. & the carpet has to be replaced. The amount of water tracking in isn't safe. I work at a resort. My resort would never let this happen to their buildings. They care about their guests. No matter the cost they fix stuff. Even if it takes time. Also the change rooms aren't checked enough. Too many tidy towels laying around. I googled the resort after. It's sad to see the owners don't try to upgrade things more. Its important to their community to fix the property. If they want it to look like that charge 125.00 a night. The 4th floor had no water. & guests were still renting the rooms. That's sick. I love the entrance & bar & bathrooms in the lobby we're nice, the pools. But the rooms people stay in need help. Had bugs too. I don't mean to be mean but other guests agreed. & I can't believe the owners think this is ok. I wanted to talk about it with front desk but apparently they r well aware the owners don't really care. If people see this message that r going to stay. Still stay but it's old. It's just sad cause the owners r going to have to close down to do renovations one day. Instead of doing small by small sections at a time.
The staff was great, the rooms were nice and the location was fantastic.
I would like the pools to be warmer, but they were still nice. I thought I booked a fully lake fronted room. I got a partial lake view. Not sure if I was confused or the description was.
Check in/out on this trip was fast and friendly. Pool as always was excellent
Third visit (first two were fine) but first time solo. The old rooms need to be renovated. And the 'no cell phone' rule in the pool area is never enforced which is annoying
Room needs a little love. Stains on the carpets, walls etc.
The hot springs at 6 pm were quiet and relaxing
The hot springs at 10 pm was like walking into a busy bar on a Friday night great for a much younger clientele The Heritage wing was in need of updating.
The pools were cool, but the facilities were dirty.
The whole hotel is outdated and they charge way too much for the dirty hallways and rooms. They didn’t even have hot water in our rooms, we had to shower in the public pool showers with a line up of people waiting. The furniture was chipped and the beds were super uncomfortable.
location
Dark and dingy and spell of pets
Cleanliness of carpets and rooms. Extremely noisy fan in the bathroom.
Location
Rooms need some updating. Thin walls, very noisy, not relaxing. Screaming kids in quiet areas of the pool. The staff don’t monitor or control the pool areas.
Right from check in the staff were great Checking in was smooth and we received excellent service This place could use a facelift but just the same it’s clean and comfortable plus it’s great value as you have access to outdoor pools till 11pm and indoor till 1am how great is that !! We’ll keep coming here as we always enjoy our stay!!
Pools and late hours you can use them
We’ve been coming for years it is the best place on earth!!!!!
We love hot springs! We were there after the summer holidays. It was quiet and not crowded.
None
Pool was good
Room was very outdated and rug was dirty
Beautiful lobby. Staff where wonderful
Very Very dated rooms. Carpet was so old am smelly
no towel provide in the pool, service lady mean.
hot pools were good, room was in the older part of the hotel but nice and quaint.
Room was only half made up when we arrived, bed not made only one robe. Staff was not helpful until we persisted and eventually got some form of credit for the issue.
Pool was nice
There was blood on the bed sheets and blanket, and the room was very dirty. We also found blood spots on the carpet and floor. We contacted the front desk, but the bed was not properly changed, and the staff did not seem to take the situation seriously. When I went to the front desk to explain what had happened, the staff member walked away while I was speaking and said he would get the manager. The manager came and immediately offered me 20% off, asking, “What else do you want me to do?” I wasn’t looking for a discount—I simply wanted the situation to be acknowledged and taken seriously. The condition of the room was completely unacceptable and unhygienic.
pool, restaurant
hire better front desk staff and train them in customer facing communication
The restaurants and pools were great. The room was also fine, minus the mould growing all over the AC unit.
Our AC/heat unit had an entire sheet of mould spores growing all across the entire thing. Wasn’t able to turn the unit on, and had to sleep worrying about getting sick from the mould. Especially having chronic health concerns as it is.
Location, clean room, comfy beds.
Food was just ok in the hotel venues and in the town .
I am extremely disappointed with my stay. The bathroom in our room is absolutely disgusting and clearly has not been properly cleaned. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. I called twice yesterday to complain about the condition of the bathroom, and I had to call again today because absolutely nothing was done. Despite bringing this issue to your attention multiple times, nobody came to clean it. I honestly cannot understand how a hotel can expect guests to accept this level of cleanliness, especially when the problem was reported repeatedly. We are paying for a hotel room, not for a dirty and unhygienic bathroom. This has completely ruined our stay, and I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with how this situation has been handled. I expected much better, and I certainly do not recommend this hotel based on this experience.
I really enjoyed all of the pools. Especially the steam room.
Our carpet could have been a little cleaner
I love the adult hot spring pool the view is fantastic,
I did not like that the steam room was closed. The door was broken off. When I spoke with the staff they said we have 5 other pools. No Sorry or thank you for notifying us. The rug in our room had several stains. One of the elevators was not working the whole time we were there. I'm sad giving a not so good review. My visit in early June was much better
Location
Too busy
The bathroom area was separated so the sink was in one section and the toilet and bath/shower was in another.
No safe in our room. Poor signage throughout, especially at the pools. Pools are various temperatures and they were not marked, aside from the 98F Adults Only Pool. Staff did not monitor the pool area and people were diving and doing cannon balls in all the deeper pools, including the one in the Quiet indoor pool. Staff were not overly friendly and our room was booked for 4 people but was provided with towels, water bottles glasses and cups for 2 people.
The location and the hot spring
The litter around the pool (by guests).
Hot spring pools were lovely. Various temperatures and really lovely. Really friendly and helpful staff.
Room was a bit hot but it was August so to be expected in an older property.
Great lakefront location. Room was cleaned daily, but only after requesting it directly due to apparent understaffing (staff noted check-outs take priority).
Disappointing stay—in urgent need of maintenance and updates. The rooms and facilities are outdated and have a noticeable musty, old-building smell. While the pools were warm, they were small, overcrowded, and had dirty edges. Overall, this hotel requires a major renovation and significantly better attention to cleanliness and routine maintenance. Given the high price, I expected a much better experience.
The longest wait we have ever had at a hotel reception to sign in, almost an hour. The front desk staff was not very friendly. The room was clean but everything was very old and no updates Service in restaurants was very poor takes forever to get a drink.
The hotel was absolutely filthy. Black mold, pubic hair in the bathroom, dust and cobwebs everywhere. We booked a 5 night stay and left after 1 night, both congested from the dust and filth. Numerous other customers were heard complaining about the exact same thing. The rooms look nothing like the photos…..the decor is from the 60’s and I think the bed is as well. Stay away from this resort!
Rooms were outdated but clean, bed were super comfortable.
The pool was crowded and dirty. The indoor pool says quiet zone but its not enforced. The children are loud and jumping around.
La pileta con agua termal
El hotel está mal categorízado. Feo olor suciedad en pasillos e instalaciones.
Pool area
We had a gas leak! I reported it to the management and my concern was minimized. I was told that it was being taken care of. We waited for 1 hour and then the manager started screaming, everyone need to evacuated. It was poorly handled. The manager lack effective communication. She was adamant for us to go back to our room. I was experiencing headaches and nausea. I informed her that she need to move us to another room. She refused because, it was fully booked. She told me that I should either sleep on the hotel couch lobby or find another hotel. No apologies whatsoever.
Very easy to get around, staff was very helpful and friendly!
We liked everything
The location is amazing. Places to eat outside of hotel were good. Waiting staff for drinks at hotel were plesant and effient.
Rooms were gloomy. Carpet had stains. We had a room with adjoining door to next room and you could hear every word they were speaking. Bathroom and bed linen were clean and bed was comfortable.
The longest wait we have ever had at a hotel reception to sign in, almost an hour. Small extremely dated room with dark wood furniture, old chairs not resembling any advertisement photos at all. No laundry service or breakfast provided. Difficult to get to 4th floor as button was absent in main lift. General appearance of hotel and lobby was very shabby and carpets need a good clean and replacing. Having just stayed at a beautiful hotel in Penticton, this hotel was a shock and beats no resemblance and very disappointing.
The location is amazing, obviously, with the lake and amenities close by. The pools were appreciated by my family. Have to give a shout out to the Front Desk Office Manager. He exceeded expectations for customer service at every opportunity. He was always around and first one to say 'what do you need'. Exceptional. Family took advantage of the Harrison Water Sports activities and they are a 'must-do'. Lots of fun and well organized. Then you have the lake - who can complain about the location? Absolutely stunning.
The check-in takes a long time although once you get to the front desk, the staff are patient and helpful. We were able to get access to our room earlier than the 4 p.m. check-in which was greatly appreciated. The hallway carpets in the 'old' wing were really old, in fact the whole wing (where we stayed) was in need of an upgrade. The food service by the pool was not great even though the servers were doing the best they could. Except for the bartender - he was terrific. The breakfast buffet was not worth the cost, better to go to the restaurant and order off the menu. There were limited lounging chairs available around the pool and people would grab them in the morning and hold them all day. Typical frustration in 'resort' like accommodations.
The hot springs are always delightful and feel so nice.
We usually come in the later months of the year, and then there are less kids. Don't have quiet zones and a 10pm curfew for children if you aren't going to enforce it. Some people come to relax and having screaming children running around jumping in the pools is certainly not relaxing. Will not be returning during a school holiday period again.
Me and my daughter came there as a fun getaway because she graduated from grade 12 and off to university in September. I was there for three nights and I wanted my room clean like one of those nights or even two of those nights and I put my tag up but no one came. Very disappointed in that and I had to fill out something and my purse didn’t have a pen and they didn’t supply a pen in the room which is so weird because every hotel I’ve been to always supplies a pen and a pad of paper there is no housecoats. I had the phone for that very disappointed. It wasn’t like this 10 years ago when I went with my husband. Will not recommend this to anyone else. For the price you pay you should be getting way more.
Pool was good
Late check in ,staff not very friendly, dinner wasn’t great at hotel restaurant and fries soggy
The amazing pools
A bit dated interior
The location, the mattress and pillow.
All the rest. Check in helpers some rude, hot tub filthy...
We have been going to Harrison for years and have always loved it, we couldn't wait to return however the last two times we have been in 2024 and now 2026 it is no longer the same. We love the location, the staff, the hot pool in the building was great and the hot water/water pressure in the showers was great.
It is so outdated especially for the prices they are charging! Sadly, we paid less than half at a Super 8 and had a far more enjoyable stay. As mention we have been coming here for years as part of our family tradition but we will not be returning unless there have some major upgrades and changes for the prices they are charging.
I have stayed at this report 6-7 times over last 15 yrs or so, never again. We arrived after a gruelling 3 hr drive due to traffic only to find a huge, slow moving line up to check in, almost 45 minutes in line. The rates are quite high and they now charge a resort fee on top of the &350 nightly charge. After check in we went to the pools to unwind. It was pure chaos. There were no more towels available even though you could see stacks of towels piled on people’s chairs. There were scores of children in the pools. They were completely unsupervised; screeching , throwing body boards and jumping off the edges without looking. I was swimming and one kid landed 6 inches from my head. One guest took us aside and advised us that she only used the pools before 9 am and after 8 pm. The inside pools had a huge sign, “quiet zone” There were at least 20 screaming kids. I understand that kids have a right to play and have fun, but without any supervision” it renders it impossible for adults. We went to the steam room only to find that it was broken. The outdoor pool area was strewn with used towels and dirty dishes, The room itself was clean and well appointed.
I couldn’t believe the condition of this resort during our stay. In my experience, the property was dirty and extremely poorly maintained. Our washroom had extensive black spotting and growth across the ceiling that appeared to be mould. It was disgusting. I’m attaching photos so you can see the condition for yourself. For me, this goes beyond an outdated hotel or poor housekeeping. The amount of apparent mould raised a potential health concern, which I intend to report to Fraser Health along with the photos. The location and surrounding nature are beautiful, which makes the condition of the property even more disappointing. Based on what I personally saw, the building appears to have suffered from a serious lack of maintenance and investment. I also find it very difficult to understand some of the 10/10 ratings after our experience. They simply do not reflect the condition of the property that we personally encountered. Beautiful location. Terrible condition. Stay somewhere else.
Location close to Vancouver Pools
The hotel is very old The rugs need to be changed. Needs major Reno For the price it should be better Staff seemed annoyed Pools are great But rooms need work
The staff was friendly, professional and helpful. The pools were clean and well-maintained.
The room was out dated and not as clean as it should be for the price...black hair in the bathroom tub, bathroom door would not close, carpet was not clean/vacuumed, furnature worn and damaged, etc. I have been to the resort many times and was surprised to find the room so run down...too expensive for a room in that condition....
Just one of the staff was nice. The room was not ready until 5 ish(pm) but they discounted for that.
Smell so bad in the room like wet smell. Especially washroom shower curtain has stinky smells. And I asked for the robes 4 times but I got them after 2 hours. And the pools…. Especially inside pool.. so dirty….
Extremely disappointing experience, especially for over $500 for one night. The entire resort felt dirty and poorly maintained, including our room in the West Tower, the hallways and the pool areas. There was garbage in the halls and even dog feces in one hallway. During the day, we rarely saw staff anywhere around the resort other than at the front desk. Very little visible housekeeping, grounds staff or anyone monitoring the pool areas. Guests were playing music on personal speakers around the pools and people were smoking marijuana. It was nothing like the relaxing resort experience advertised. Overnight was even worse. People above us were running around, yelling and slamming doors. At 2:43 a.m., guests near our room were fighting in the hallway, screaming, swearing and slamming doors. Our kids woke up crying and scared. My husband went to the front desk for help and nobody was there. He checked again after getting our vehicle because we seriously considered leaving. Still nobody. I then went down myself and checked more than once. Nobody was there. Ultimately, we decided it wasn't safe to get on the road with our children at 3 a.m. after being awake most of the night. The next morning I spoke with the manager, Jackie. She offered 20% off and repeatedly asked why we hadn't called the front desk. We physically went to the front desk multiple times looking for help. She said she would speak with her supervisor and that one of them would call me. Nobody did, and instead my credit card was charged the full $515.04. I then emailed the resort directly to give them another opportunity to address this privately. That email was also ignored. I understand a resort cannot control every guest, but it absolutely can control cleanliness, staffing, security and how management responds when something goes wrong. I gave them multiple opportunities to make this right before posting publicly. Unfortunately, they chose not to respond.
It was my birthday. We both, me and my spouse, as a senior citizens, having widely travelled in the word, found the experience nasty and unfortunate. Hotel room No 129 given to us in the old wing was not worth the price we paid. The hotel wing was just not old but shabby. Corridors smelt bad, the carpets were worn out and there was bad odour all around. So was the room. It was hot outside and we entered the room temperature was also hot and AC was not on and it took a while to adjust the room temperature. You expect alteast a cool room when you enter room after travelling all the distance you come from. The shade lamp in room was not working, The small size TV in the room had its picture blurry ( made complaint but no one showed up to fix). The tiney one cup Coffee machine was not connected. And as a senior (75 years old) it was hard to lean and go under the table to plug the machine to put it on. Washroom light was flickering. The tiniest ever fridge I have seen in my life was in the dingy washroom which is not hygienic at all to store your food in the fridge in washroom. The paid on entrance door side of washroom is coming off. I was given to understand that its free parking at the back but I went around in the night and there was no parking available. Took 3 rounds of the parking to find none. The mattress on the bed near side of washroom found to be sagging and I had back paid when I woke up,
The hot springs were all amazing and enjoyed the overall stay. The view from our room was of the lake and was nice. Walking distance to all restaurants, lake and amenities. It was clean and the beds were comfortable.
Hotel is in need of refurbishment and was old and dated. The hallways were a maze and signage wasnt the easiest to follow to get to rooms.
Loved the pools.
I had the "please make up my room " sign on for 2 days and Noone came when we were out of the room. We were out of the room from approx. 9 am - 3 pm then from 5 pm - 8 pm.
Very dated hotel, clearly making the most of the monopoly they have on the hot springs. One of the 2 elevators in our tower was out of order for the duration of our stay and due to the volume of people this caused inconvenience all round. We had a room for 4 people but it was only set up with 1 bath towel beween the 4 of us. Just a lack of care and attention to detail all round The pools themselves were a pleasant experience (the indorr ones are slightly better) but they are the only reason to visit. We only staed one night to break up our road trip and glad we didn;t have to stay longer
The customer service here was extremely concerning. I was double charged, and while trying to resolve the issue, a staff member emailed me another customer’s FULL credit card information, including their card details, CVC, billing address, and full name. Receiving someone else’s sensitive financial information was honestly shocking and raised major concerns for me about how customer data is being handled. What made the situation worse was how the hotel handled it afterward. Instead of properly acknowledging and addressing both the incorrect charge and the privacy breach, they ignored both their mistake and my attempts to resolve the issue, and eventually stopped responding altogether. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about booking here, especially knowing that the hotel retains sensitive payment information and that another guest’s information was mistakenly sent to me.
L’emplacement était fabuleux , beaucoup de commodité près et piscine chauffée.
Ne pas y aller l’été pour les hot spring naturelle car elle sont presque vide. Hotel vieux, la toilette coulait dans notre chambre.
The main desk staff tried to be helpful and accommodating. The towels were new and clean. The lobby is nice and clean. There was a good view of the lake.
The room in the West wing was not very well kept and was old and smelled musty and dirt trails going down the carpeted halls, Let's be honest- the hotel is run down and good renovations are needed. The rooms look second rate at best. The food areas are all cheap food, expensive, unfriendly food staff. The pools were overly crowded with kids and some adults constantly jumping, diving, splashing and loud. Just overall disruptive and the signage on the wall of the -Quiet indoor pool- did nothing, just as bad in this pool. I could tell others were just as upset by the lack of consideration for others. The resort needs to enforce some basic ground rules for behavior, by having a pool monitor- its sad but people just are illmannnered and inconsiderate of others in the pools. Pools were all way, too crowded. Also the kids spray area is a joke- please put in a seperate play pool for the kids and actually give back and reinvest some of your profits by making your pools more accomodating and cleaner for the mass of people that traffic through them. The pool house and bathrooms all need remodeling-gross! We do not like sleeping under a cell tower on the highest tower building as these are known to cause health problems couldn't they have placed it a bit further away? Why directly on the building? The first night they worked hard to accomodate with a cot bed and extra towel within 5 mins. The remaining three days after we moved to the West wing it took 4 hours and 3 phone calls and a visit to the front desk to get a cot that my son said was completely different in comfort and quality. It also took over 2 hours to get towels. East wing has orange wrist bands and the West wing had blue wrist bands for the pools. I asked why and did not get a good answer except that is how we do it. Way overpriced for a supposedly "classy" resort. I would not have a problem paying what I did if the resort had lived up to expectations of a higher class resort.
The food is basic for the kind of hotel. Except in the Cooper room we had a very good dinner-meal!
Upgrading is needed for the price we pay! Looking old ! The grounds need to be cleaner upgraded The pools are dirty! Your advertisement is not showing same as it really looks!
I know there are so many bad reviews, which are probably justified The check-in process is the worst. I have seen in my life lineups for check-in and then you check it in the rooms aren’t ready even though it’s 4 o’clock and then we were told to not get back in line when we are called with the room ready, but there’s no line dedicated to call back so you look like you are budding in and people started yelling at some guests. We paid for a nice room and it was great. Cozy bed. Enjoyed the pool- however recommend changing your license so can get a drink at the pool. You can only get a drink if get food. They only have a food licence. Nice to have a la carte breakfast in copper room bistro. Had a fabulous dinner and music in the copper room on the Saturday night. First class service and the food was five star. It was a shame there weren’t many people there I would suggest you don’t say you have to have reservations if space available and let people come as walk-ins because it is sad for the band for it not to be full. and Harrison is beautiful! really enjoyed the pub with live music as well. So I would recommend it as a great getaway. just be ready to be patient and hope management makes some much needed improvements.
This is an older resort hotel that is definitely in need of an upgrade. Our dog-friendly room in the far west wing was very basic, shabby, run-down. However, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was adequate, but again very basic. We did like that they offered signs to put on your door if you had a dog. That way no one bothered you or the dog in your room. I was VERY concerned for safety, as the ONLY entrance into that part of the hotel was via the lobby, which involved a long hallway walk through another building. No back entrance/exit. That could be problematic if there is a fire or emergency. It also made getting your luggage to your room quite difficult, as you had a long walk with your stuff. And it was really inconvenient when you needed to walk your dog. The pools however were great. They were clean, and it was very soothing to soak in the various pools. The adult pool was a big, loud party at night. I felt sorry for the people in rooms right near there. Overall, this place really wasn't worth the price you paid.
Disappointing Stay Despite a Beautiful Location One positive aspect of our stay was that our room was ready an hour before the official check-in time. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was disappointing. The front desk staff member seemed unfamiliar with the hotel layout and directed us to the wrong location for our room. We had to return to the front desk to get the correct directions. We were assigned a room in the West Wing/West Tower, which felt extremely dated. The shower made a loud noise whenever it was turned on, the paint on the bathroom door was peeling. The mattress was old and noticeably sagging, while the carpet was worn and clearly showing its age. The view from our room overlooked a metal roof and the backs of other rooms, with stained walls. There was only a partial view of the pool. We had breakfast at the Lakeview Restaurant buffet. The food was average and unremarkable, consisting of boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, pastries, fruit, and other standard breakfast items. The cost was $33 per adult. With many restaurants and cafes within walking distance offering good food, we did not consider the hotel's dining options to be a significant amenity or added value. Considering the room rate of $425 for a one-night stay, I expected a much higher standard of accommodation. While the early check-in was appreciated, the condition of the room and overall experience did not justify the price. Overall, the West Tower room felt frozen in time. Worn carpeting, an aging mattress, and tired furnishings made the accommodation feel decades behind the resort's otherwise spectacular setting. Although we plan to return to Harrison Hot Springs each year to celebrate our anniversary, we will be choosing alternative accommodations for future visits.
The place is a dump! So disgusting and dirty. Pools were cloudy because the chlorine chemicals were not rightI Gross things floating around in the pools. The next day, nothing had been cleaned up by 10am! Bottles and cups and garbage every where. Smell of urine all around the pool. I would never stay here again and never recommend it...even after a year later I am still mesmerized by how that can be.
Given the location of this resort, there is potential to develop a luxury experience but unfortunately this resort falls very short. In summary, the whole resort needs a good clean, the carpets in the lobby, corridors and rooms are dirty and stained and there is a smell of dirty carpets along the corridors. The rooms are dated and the bath in our room was stained. The dust on some of the picture frames around the hotel demonstrates the lack of care and cleanliness. The pool areas are ok, but there are not enough loungers or chairs and guests were having to leave towels and clothing on rocks around the pool or on the floor. The pool floor looked like it needed a good scrub. There was always a significant queue at the front desk and check in took quite a long time. We only stayed for one night, I would not have wanted to stay longer.
Thr hot springs in morning!
The place is run down and very old. The hotel management don't care to upgrade because of the abundance of customers.
Afternoon tea idea but not that it was served with paper cups.
The room and wing was a bit grungy
Location
They need to do some renovations!!
Staff were super kind and helpful
Kitchen staff need to check food before it goes out we had three end chunks of Roman hearts in our salad
NOT “Hot” hot springs. Incredibly disappointing! Not to mention: -No 3rd robe for my kiddo - only 2. -Dirty room upon arrival. Sand and food on the floors. Dirty sink & tub. -Late check in, room wasn’t ready until 6pm, when check-in is stated as “4pm.” -Filthy indoor pool you can’t even see the bottom of -Quiet pool NOT quiet, kids screaming. -Floors outdoor everywhere disgustingly dirty -None of the “hot springs” are actually hot!! -Steam room not working -No towels for pools -Multiple massive spiders in our room -Filthy keurig in room -No room service exists -Not accessible for disabled patrons, having to leave the building and walk outside then back inside again to access an elevator, and, the elevators not reaching every floor. The mineral pools were very relaxing. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. AC units worked great.
Das Frühstück im Copper Restaurant war gut
Die Zimmer waren einfach schlecht Kaffeemaschine war kaputt. Kleinste Fenster! Keine Bademäntel…
Location, pools, nice spa experience
No staff enforcing rules. People leaving garbage all over pool grounds. “Relaxation pools” full of kids screaming, jumping, roughhousing.
The pools were nice
We were put on the floor for guests with pets. Bit unclean and smelly. Dogs barking when left unattended.
Check in time on booking was 4pm but I was not allowed in until 5pm as room was not done cleaning. Staffs were not friendly, tend to blame customers more than try to accommodate. Carpet in the room very old.
The attitude of the staffs and late check in
Die Lage ist optimal. Frühstück war okay
Die Spülung der Toilette funktionierte nicht immer optimal
Resort is dirty, dated with a zoo like atmosphere. Hallways smell of cheap disinfectant. We checked in, took one look at our room and the pools and checked out.
Missed checked in. Dated rooms with damages not maintained. Would not visit again.
Disappointed with the stay as we went with a few friends. The rooms never got cleaned when we asked at least three times. I talked to the manager that night and she told me only can get 10% off or the resort fee. When I emailed the managers no one replied to me for over a week and responded to one of my other friends who complained after a few days and got a response the next day. This is disappointing and clearly the mangers are picking and choosing who to respond to unacceptable behaviour.
Absolute revolting hole of a place. Looks like it hasn’t been updated since it was built and the rowdiness of the place means it’s far from relaxing. Carpets are vile and smell awful. Like a cheap Butlins weekend!! Kept awake by room next door, people in corridors, banging vending machine. Pools aren’t anything special either. Checked out after one night and when the member of staff was informed we weren’t happy she shrugged her shoulders and laughed. Save your money and book anywhere else!
We were surprised by how far below standard this hotel fell given the price we paid. The carpets throughout the property were filthy, reminiscent of a cheap motel, and the drapes in our room were dirty and full of holes. The entire room is badly in need of renovation and left us with the impression that cleanliness just isn't a priority. Unfortunately, we had the exact same negative impression when we visited Fairmont Hot Springs, which is owned by the same chain. The only positive was the nice water in the pools.
Hmmm... it's hard to know what to say. We had an ok stay at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort, but it was not worth the money we paid for it. Everything appeared to be understaffed, except the Copper Room, (which was a lovely experience). When we arrived (and every time we walked past), the front desk was jammed... too many guests, not enough staff. The hotel itself looked tired. Hallway carpets need to be vacuumed, or completely replaced. Windows need to be washed. Balconies need to be power washed. Old plastic deck chairs need to be replaced! Our room was similarly tired with outdated decorating... but it was decent. The bed was comfortable, the A/C worked fine, the amenities were minimal but acceptable. Our toilet wasn't flushing properly, but staff fixed it almost immediately. When we called with questions, the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely view of the lake. The hot pools were ok, but pretty busy, (understandable since it is a July weekend). We did not see any cleaning, maintenance or safety staff around the pools the whole time we were there (although there was sort of a "security" person at the entrance). They ran out of towels at the pool on our first night there, and we had to go to the front desk to get towels. Just a bit annoying... The Copper Room was a highlight for us. The food was amazing, the staff was excellent, and the music was a great touch. We have been to this hotel a couple of times many years ago, and it was in a better state then. I think there are plans to "restore the Harrison Hot Springs Resort" to its former glory. I hope so, because this hotel has so much potential. But it is going to take some vision, strategy and money to make this happen.
Pools are the only reason to go!!! Rooms worn out, employees complaining they’re short staffed no supplies, couldn’t even get a face cloth!! No pool bar, no staff, no good. Staff are fed up as are we as a paying customer, certainly not worth they are charging!! No valet, no concierge, no service whatsoever!!! Time to clean up !!!!
While it is a nice place many of the guest are extremely disrespectful of the environment and other guests. In the quit areas they are screening, yelling to each other and act like they own the place. Worse is that the management does not care in the least! It was a place to come and enjoy and now it is a trash land with peace and tranquility. Kids pool, fine have at it, but the indoor and adult pool is not meant for people like this. I wish management cared. Too bad it it is sinking and falling apart. Not worth it!
Location and facilities and the staff.
Creaky floors from rooms above. No staff supervising pool areas where children often made a lot of noise in quiet areas.
This used to be an incredible special place I looked forward to coming to every year. Unfortunately since the new owners acquired it over a decade ago or so they have run it right into the ground. It's dirty, and run down. They don't care about anything at all except for extracting every penny from you. This once beautiful resort has no maintenance done and is dirty.
WOULD THE OWNER SELL THE HOTEL ALREADY! This is a great hotel location and facility that so so many used to love, being left to rot away to a dirty outdated hotel, its very gross now. Sell it and let someone else renovate it for all to enjoy. The owner also owns Poets Cove Resort, also run down for what it could be a boating resort right in the water.
Room was not clean, particularly the bathroom. Copper Room staff were totally inattentive. No towels at the pool. Room was not at all as described.
The hot pools are pleasant.
Completely disappointed with our experience. Our last visit was 6 years ago, different management now and it shows. No upgrades to the very dated property in many years. Our room was not ready when we arrived to check in at 3:50pm. We were asked to wait for a call to advise when it was ready. At 4:35pm- finally the room was ready. However, only 2 towels & 2 robes for 1/2 our family of 4. Down at the pools, there was only a large cart overflowing with dirty pool towels. No sign of clean pool towels anywhere. I spoke with a number of guests at the pool who all stated the same issue also occurred the day before. In fact- one couple appeared to have just arrived at the hotel pool and they were greeted by a shout by another guest floating in the water: “hey where did you get those towels??” It was embarrassing to stay in such a resort. The new owners and management should be ashamed. This was previously a beautiful historic resort hotel. Do not stay here. Save your money! The town of Harrison is lovely and there are plenty of other accommodation options which would easily exceed your expectations.
The facilities, both indoor and outdoor pools are great. I love the stairs in the heritage building. The location is awesome, and it has a beautiful landscape.
The information in the front desk about the cost of the buffet was not accurate. And unfortunately someone (probably from the hotel) took my information two weeks after I booked, and I started to receive WhatsApp messages asking for fake check in and my CC info.
We stayed for our anniversary weekend, hadn’t been in years. Was surprised to see that the resort hadn’t been updated. We had a large lake view room which was very clean. Bed very hard and pillows too flat, but some may like that. The walk in shower was great except that it just had a tiny shower head which didn’t make sense for the size of shower. We did like that the room was quiet and we were on the 4th floor by the elevator so I was worried it would be noisy but it was fine. The breakfast buffet was overpriced and some of the food was cold. The mineral pool was lovely (adult side) but surrounding grounds don’t seem to be well cared for (debris in pool and surrounding). The adult pool was packed in the evening with people yelling and drinking. It settled down a bit once 10:00 hit and it was all adults only. The public washrooms on the main floor were dirty and needed some maintenance. We enjoyed the Island bar, great service and happy hour prices. We went to The Copper Room for dinner and the service and food was great, loved the band and the attention that everyone got with birthday and anniversary requests. There was no room service, you have to go down and get more towels, wine glasses etc. if you want it. The spa and our massages were amazing. All in all I felt the nightly resort price was overpriced for what you got but we still had a good time.
溫泉飯店的地點很好
飯店舊樓的地毯太舊太髒.建議換新
The hot pools, the heritage of the location.
It’s lacking upkeeps to the basics … throughout the hotel. It did not feel like a premium hotel.
Our family booked a family room in the heritage building. When we first checked into our room, the room had a strong stuffy and smelly odour. The rooms and washroom were also really old considering the price we paid for the room. We also had bad experience with front desk people as they had a mean attitude when we asked for new pool access wristbands, when we check in, they did not specify or explain that we HAVE TO & MUST wear the wristbands during our stay the hotel. And when we asked for new ones the next day, they were scolded for not keeping them! Specifically the Middle East person who wears black glasses was super mean and his attitude should not be allowed in the industry of hotel service. Food within the hotel was also overpriced, we went to the bar lounge in the hotel and the food we got was cold when we received it. Overall, not worth it, very overpriced and bad service
The fabulous location in the lakeside
Horrible. Old smells terrible. Rooms stinks And rooms are worn out. Carpets are gross throughout entire place. Chlorine in the pools so so strong. Not worth it stay somewhere else
