Walking distance from Time Square. Espresso machine as part of the continental breakfast. John, staff member, was kind and accommodating.

The windows were moldy, the room smelled musty. No vent in the washroom. We got the room with two queen beds and a twin, for our group of 5. When we checked-in, the 5th window bed was not made, stained and torn as in the attached pics. We requested sheets and pillows for it, and they said they ran out? We ended up getting them, after the 3rd time and person asked though. The hotel was not like the pictures at all. Would not recommend, and would not stay again.

The staff was very friendly, but on the first day, I was given a very small room where we couldn't sleep because the air conditioner was extremely loud and the bathroom floor was damaged; they moved us the next day. I also paid a $300 deposit for potential damages and was told it would be refunded as soon as I left, but it has been 15 days and I still haven't received the money.

We needed a last-minute hotel in NYC for one night, and initially this seemed like a decent option, especially for the price and location. The room itself was a good size, and I appreciated the complimentary bottled water. However, after seeing the room in daylight, I noticed more cleanliness and maintenance issues than I initially realized. The TV didn’t work, and although we contacted maintenance, they weren’t able to get it working. The shower handle was also broken, so we had to call maintenance again. That said, the maintenance staff were excellent, friendly, and very responsive. There were visible signs of wear and staining around the window shade, and the room generally felt like it could have been cleaner. The advertised “complimentary breakfast” was quite limited, essentially just a few small muffins.. The location is convenient, and I could see this being an option for someone looking for a budget-friendly hotel near Times Square, especially for a last-minute one-night stay. However, given the cleanliness and maintenance issues we experienced, I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Low price, low quality but I guess you pay for what you get. Communicating with the hotel was extraordinarily difficult and changes to my reservation were a nightmare. I left a shirt in my room and when I called back I was told that they didn't find it. Well -- it was there, because I wore it on the plane and was not in my suitcase. When I suggested something was missing they said well the staff have turned in a lot better things. May be true, but I'm still out an expensive, designer shirt.

Excellent location, 5 minute walk from Times Square. Subways accessible in walkable distance. Indian vegetarian restaurants also in walkable distance 10 mind approx. Service was really good. The bellhop was helpful and quick.

We had a wonderful stay at City Club Hotel. The hotel is in a great, safe location, close to Times Square and within walking distance of everything. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to stay in New York. What truly sets this hotel apart is its outstanding customer service. Black mold! The room was old, worn, and unclean. There was hair, dead bugs and stained carpets. I would not recommend this hotel.

Toilet seat had chips in the enamel that seem to expose the wood underneath I assume it’s a bacterial breeding ground - I didn’t complain at the time I was too busy but I think it’s an easy fix just replace it

Robenna and Billy really upgraded our vacation by upgrading our stay to a better room with a better view than the one we booked. Really amazing service.

The City Club Hotel is in a fantastic location, making it a great base for exploring the city. Robenna and Billy went above and beyond during our stay by upgrading us to a much nicer room than the one we had originally booked. Their kindness and excellent hospitality made a real difference and greatly enhanced our overall experience. We truly appreciate their help and would gladly stay here again.

Robeena and Billy are the best. When we checked in we had different rooms assign than reserved. The rooms we had reserved weren’t available any longer. Robena went above and beyond to help us have an amazing experience. Thank you!!! Awesome work for Billy as well.

Very nice hotel, clean, attentive staff, and close to all the Broadway/Times Square stuff. The hotel even had a discount program for parking which made driving into the city very affordable. I'd definitely come back.

The bed was lumpy. I straighten the sheets, but it was the mattress and the horrible mattress pad. Tiny room even for Times Square hotels. We were next to the elevators. Every time they move, it was very noisy. No place to put a suitcase.

Location was convenient and quite centrally located.

There is no breakfast apart from plastic cups, juice, and a few cheap muffins. Nothing else is provided. The only coffee available comes from an old, rusty machine. The employee completely ignored the guests, creating a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere. Overall, this felt like a total scam. P.S. Ms. Jennifer was also rude. While speaking with me, she kept her eyes fixed on her computer screen instead of acknowledging me, making me feel ignored, dismissed, and underestimated. Such behavior is highly unprofessional and unacceptable in a customer-facing role.

What an AMAZING experience! The service from Jamian was truly remarkable and to learn he was new was so warming to see such a driven and ambitious worker on your staff! The property was not at all like the pictures. There was a hole in the floor that was covered by carpet that I keep tripping on in my room and they were not prepared with proper linens when we arrived.

During check-in, Yaya at the front desk completely elevated my trip by surprising me with a room upgrade. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and featured ultra-comfortable bedding and a beautiful chocolate-marble bathroom. The staff’s both Yaya and Robenna were top-tier hospitality and professionalism made my stay spectacular. I highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone looking for a stylish , affordable and convenient Manhattan retreat!

They hotels is clean, front desk lady was very friendly, polite and understanding, room was a good size compared with other hotels, breakfast was free and available very early with us a plus if you are planning to enjoy the city before it gets crowded, the only thing that is was wrong with our experience was that for some reason our key room will not work, something was wrong with the door knob, but like I mentioned front desk assistant was very helpful and understanding opening the door with a master key for us as many times as we needed. Good hotel with a parking and valet parking.

Thank you for a comfortable stay, even though short. Your staff, especially Yaya, was very helpful and friendly! We love how close it was and how walkable it is to everything. When you say your fridge is well-stocked, you were serious about it! Thank you, and we will definitely be back.

The staff was amazing! Jay and Yaya helped me greatly during check-in and answered all questions I had! My room was comfortable and clean, and was well stocked with beverages and snacks!

This hotel is in a great location, convenient to many trains, but not right in the madness of Times Square. Our room was surprisingly quiet, you could only hear people while walking in the hallway, not in your room itself. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and decorated nicely. The double bed room and bathroom was also large for a NYC hotel (standard size for other smaller cities). Coffee machine downstairs in the morning was also great with multiple options for espresso-based drinks. The only negative review that I have is that I didn't think to get a print out of my itemized receipt upon checking out because most places email them to you. I have tried contacting the hotel numerous times via the chat link, phone call, and email to get it but still not have had any luck yet.

Terrible treatment by manager. Had a late check-out for 1pm or 2pm… at 12:30pm manager and managerial staff called and knocked repetitively, stating I must leave now or they will “drag me out of there” and will “call the police.” This was done with utter rudeness, like hanging up the phone on me, walking away from the door in the middle of a harangue, etc. . I left in a rush without being able shower, properly change clothes, or even properly pack. It felt like I was in ICE detention not a hotel.

Prior to this, the following occurred. Day One: -TV in the room not working. We had to call fr desk and wait. They sent up the doorman (who was the one congenial person we encountered at City Club) and it took him quite some time to fix it. -No instructions about hotel policies, guests’ rights, or even safety policies in any ‘City Club Policy Book’ in the room. First time I have encountered that in America. It was like “if you have a problem, you are on your own.” Criminal negligence? -One of the two key cards did not work on the first day. Day Two: Shower on-off button was stuck, so either you could not get the tap convert to convert to shower or you were scalding. No hotel manual, so no way to fix this. This happened to myself and my 12 yo daughter. -For no reason, in the middle of the night, the toilet did not flush and overflowed, covering the entire bathroom. Day 3: As aforementioned, we were told that we could check out at 1pm at the earliest, although we had in-writing requested 2pm and in-writing told they would “consider it.” When I called the front desk about this when the toilet overflowed (the night before checkout) even then the front desk person said “he did not know about 2pm but ‘for sure, boss’ but 1pm was a go.’” -EXTREME (POSSIBLY CRIMINAL) BEHAVIOR WHEN THEY ‘DECIDED’ THAT CHECK-OUT WAS TO BE AT 12:30PM. THIS ENTAILED MULTIPLE (AT LEAST 5) RUDE, ONE-SIDED PHONE CALLS ASKING, OR RATHER THREATENING, TO ‘CHARGE ME FOR A LATE CHECK-OUT’ OR ‘AN ADDITIONAL NIGHT.’ WHEN I TRIED TO RESPOND, I WAS HUNG UP ON. THEN, THREE PLAIN-CLOTHED MEN W/O ID, KNOCKED ON MY DOOR, SCREAMING THAT ‘I BETTER GET OUT BEFORE THEY DRAGGED ME OUT.’ ONE MAN, IN A BRIGHT RED SHIRT, CLAIMED HE WAS THE ‘MANAGER’ AND SAID ‘HE WOULD CHARGE ME FOR ANOTHER NIGHT AND CALL THE POLICE RIGHT NOW.’ I ACTUALLY WANTED TO TALK TO POLICE, BECAUSE OF THEIR BOORISH BEHAVIOR, NO POLICE SHOWED. WITHOUT SHOWERING, I HURRIED TO PACK, GET CHANGED, AND LEAVE.

The accommodation was fine with me. I liked that despite there being no gym, I got to go to any Crunch fitness for free. 10/10 location. I gave it 3 stars because the breakfast was hardly a breakfast, just yogurt, pastries and coffee. I also got charged for drinks in the mini fridge that I didn’t touch. I’d like my money back for that

Le petit-déjeuner est extrêmement décevant et ne correspond pas au standing attendu. Il n’y a pas de véritable buffet, seulement quelques produits très basiques (un yaourt, du thé et quelques biscuits). Les croissants proposés ne semblaient pas frais ni appétissants. Nous avions réservé une chambre Queen Luxe, plus chère que les chambres standards, mais le lit était très petit pour deux personnes. Une personne a dû dormir sur le canapé. La chambre n’était pas confortable et l’hôtel paraît assez ancien. La vue était également très décevante : un bâtiment se trouvait à seulement un ou deux mètres de la fenêtre, ce qui rendait la chambre sombre toute la journée, comme s’il faisait constamment nuit.

I was looking forward to this stay. I travel frequently & have a health condition that prevents me from time to time. I needed last minute so I gave booking.com a try—they were willing to honor my early morning cancellation as long as th hotel would. I spoke to staff who reassured me it wouldn’t be a problem. Worst customer service ever. Just don’t go.

Is it really nice size of the room

This room was perfect for our family & really beautiful! The King Duplex provided us with ample space considering typical NYC room sizes. The fact that it has 2 floors was amazing, that way the kids enjoyed their own space & privacy downstairs. The king bed was so comfortable & the primary suite was just beautiful with the accents on the ceilings & the huge window! It was an exceptional place to stay. The lighting in the bathroom could've been better but the shower & water pressure were great. Extra bonus was plenty of full length mirrors throughout the room for teenagers to get ready! All in all we were very happy with our stay at CC & will definitely return in the future.

The hotel served its purpose which was a room for one night. The positives are the location which is close to Times Square, the size of the room was good, hidden areas for the refrigerator and safe, good bed size, and quick check in and check out. By the contrary, grab and go breakfast was mentioned in my Booking.com reservation yet I did not see anything. The hotel is close to Times Square so it may be noisier for some people. The room (beds, bathroom, main areas) was clean but the wallpaper was dingy which took away from the positives of the room. The faucets in the sink and bathtub need to be repaired. They work but one has to finagle how to use correctly. One shouldn't have to do this. The room served its purpose however given the opportunity I would choose another hotel.
