I like the staff and how nice and communicative they were
Our first room didnt have AC. Our second room had bugs
Big complex, beach access and the beach bar.
Loved it all

The location
AC wasn't working
Everything was super nice
Elevator
perfect locationn w the beach beaches !!!
the beach the pools the poolside service the food !!
I liked that it was located on the beach and included beach chairs and umbrellas.
The room smelled of mildew. The tub had a slow drain. The elevators are very slow. Check in process wasn’t working online, and to actually check in at the front desk was extremely SLOW
No recibi el recibo a pesar de reclamarlo y se me cobro doble uno de los restaurantes del hotel
We love our stays here. This time when we arrived, we were unloading, the bell hopper seemed almost irritated. We were taking out our beach chairs and he said you can’t bring them in. Those are not allowed…when people are walking in the doors behind us with their own beach chairs. We took them out there anyway because 50% of the chairs out there were beach chairs. Just not something I think a Bell Hopper should be telling somebody pulling up before they even check in. Outside of that everything was wonderful.
I liked that there was another resort we could visit as well as the slide and fire pit for s’mores
I wish there was room service
Great location, several activity options for families
Outdated room with some broken features. Housekeeping never came to refresh anything. Some of the staff, mainly front desk, were rude or acted like basic questions were an inconvenience. Extra charges weren’t made aware after any point of booking and only found out during check in. We were also pressured to go to a conference to buy more vacations when I went to the desk for one quick question. I don’t think all the amenities were offered to us as they should’ve been.
Location, and the staff was wonderful.
The rooms are a bit outdated.
The beach
Management and security, the worst
It was beachfront. Had awesome amenities. We will definitely stay here again.
Very let it go environment
Nothing I can think of
Best beach hotel
Elevators slow
Die Lage war super.
Keine Möglichkeit Cash zu bezahlen. Das Restaurant beim Pool war teuer und schlechtes Essen. Keine gute Qualität! Auch keine gute Möglichkeit in guter Qualität zu frühstücken.
The property was very clean and the staff were so kind, friendly and helpful!
The property was amazing but our room happened to be between two pool areas, both of which were very loud until late hours, making it difficult to sleep until after midnight. Bring ear plugs. Also, a Hilton Honors women kept trying to get us to come to a Hilton Event- she approached me three times, I started to get frustrated with her….she didn’t work there!
We liked the little swimming pools dotted around and its position on the beach. Well positioned for subway, Dunkin' donuts and baskin robbins. It was also a base for a great dolphin trip.
Our room was dated and smelt a bit damp. The air conditioning not very effective. There was blood stains on the bedding. Most of the entertainment is in the hotel next door and not in your hotel at all. The hotel runs entertainment by the main pool and plays music so loud we came away to find a quiet pool. No pools are big. Even the main ones in each hotel. We stayed here having done a Florida road trip and this is the only hotel I regret booking and could definitely have done much better. We only stayed two nights though and didn't complain. Technically we had the room we asked for only I hadn't realised the standards were so low. One night we ate in Rumfish grill restaurant with the giant fish tank. It is quite expensive so we expected it to be quite fancy. It was not. It was like a standard family restaurant (like a beefeater) with a fish tank and kids crying and shouting. The food was really nice though. The whole feel of this place is a holiday camp on the beach. The basic rooms fit this vibe too.
The location was great, pool clean.
The room was very humid, smells like a mold, otherwise was clean. We forgot chargers in the room and for 2 days they couldn’t find it.
Fantastic location directly on the beach with so much to do for the kids and walking distance to shops.
The room was clean but very dated and could do with some updating.
Not a lot, apart from location and beach
Hotel staff, rooms. Offered refund and never got it.
Location was fairly good, ease of getting in and out of the property good, size of the rooms good.
Sadly the upgraded room that we paid for to ensure we were very close to my cousin traveling from the UK didn't have working air conditioning (we were moved but onto the otherside of the building). Also very disappointed that only one of the four elevators were working which caused delays.
Having everything right in the same place, fun food, beach
Best location on St. Pete beach. Walking distance to all restaurants and activities. Food and service were excellent. This is our go-to place for a beach trip.

Loved the beach. We spent almost all of our time on the beach because it was much nicer and less crowded then the rest of the property. The staff were also very nice and helpful.
Property needs updating. Our room was modern and comfy but much of the rest of the property felt very "motel" instead of "resort" and the pools were all small and crowded without much of a view of the beach.
Nothing
Dirty
The beach was nice and the pool area was too, I also liked being able to use two resorts. The beach team at rum fish were much more attentive and helpful than what I saw at tradewinds.
The room wasn't as clean as I would like and had to request housekeeping and elevators were hot and slow
La playa, la ubicación, la comida.
Que no le hicieron aseo a la habitación el segundo dia. Estuvimos 3 dias, dos noches.
Everything was at the resort and having access to both tradewinds was awesome.
Some of the cleaning staff were really rude.
Beautiful location and excellent service
Rooms are dated and damp/musty overpriced
They have everything there or in walking distance
Nothing
Smores at night, towels and chairs available slide was nice for kids. Enjoyed the fish tank next door
Rooms are small, carpet was sticky in our room Hallways were HOT, but worse the elevators were a nightmare. Building seem dated. Only one elevator worked and it really didn’t work efficiently-took forever and was really inconvenient. Most of the time we were forced to climb the stairs multiple times a day and being on the fourth floor with a bad back it wasn’t pleasant at all! Parking fees were ridiculous. You’re already paying to be a guest then the extra fees to park on top of room cost is so unreasonable.
Clean and staff was great
Everything was exceptional!
Location
Our room wasn’t even ready at check in time and we had to wait. Everything is broken . The elevators are horrible. We got stuck in them twice . After the second time I took the stairs only. It’s very rundown . For the cost it’s not worth it . The food was good at the grill and the beds were comfortable thankfully.
Amenities , location
Paying for parking
We loved the location, the beach, all of the activities, and resturants in the area. I loved that the room has complimentary beach chairs and umbrella. They also provide beach towels. The room was clean.Beds were comfortable.
The property as a whole is dated. The elevators were very sketchy. Sometimes the buttons wouldn't work putting us off on the wrong floor. The room we had was very small. The public areas were dirty.
Location, beach, staff
The overall appearance is that it looks old. Water pressure in shower was low. Air conditioner had to be reset multiple times. Resort fee and paying $25 per day for parking seems high. Most of the amenities were at Island Grand which I think is nicer and more modern than Rum Fish.
All of the staff were very nice and accommodating. Location great. Lots of food and drink options on site. Loved the live music. Beach towels provided. 2 beach lounge chairs provided. Property well maintained. Lots of activities.
On site food a bit pricey. Waterpark bounce area in the ocean only on 2 days a week. We couldn't do it 1 day due to lightening and weren't able to do it at all due to schedule. We stayed for 6 nights so should have had atleast 2 opportunities to use. Plus its $40 a person which is pretty expensive. Elevator was hot inside no air circulation
The atmosphere, live music, beachfront location

We loved the onsite restaurant. Delicious food
Love the location and our servers were so friendly and food is really good .
Food: 10/10 Views: 10/10 Service: Hannah’s humor MADEEEE our time here. She really played along with our jokes. Highly recommend asking for her!!
Nice location, nice staff great things incuded ! Felt like we weren’t in Florida .
Things close up a little to early 6 is a bit early but we made do .
La playa privada genial, las camas cómodas, me gustó que tiene su cocina
El precio muy exagerado para el tipo de habitación
Location was great. It was right on the beach and had ample restaurants and places to eat on-site. The air conditioning in the rooms was nice and cold.
The chair hut to reserve chairs didn't open until 9a. On vacation we enjoy being on the beach bright and early. You had to get in line around 830a to reserve your chair which was annoying. Hotel was a bit dated and ice machines were not working on the 4th of July.
While the locations was great and there is a nice beach there were several things that made me wish we went to the Tradewinds next door. The rooms on the website look much bigger. Internet was HORRIBLE, as I had some work to complete and could not. Elevators were very small for the luggage carts, HOT, dirty, one was broken and they were slow. And had to share with the employees with large carts as well. NO ice machines were working, had to go down to the front desk to get ice in the middle of summer...?? Our daughter came to visit for a day, we were told it was no problem just tell the gate, they charged her $35 to park. For a "RESORT" this place was 2 stars tops.
The beachside and the bars.
This room was not as expected for the price I paid. It was supposed to be an upgraded room. The room had frayed carpet and the door had a big gash in it. The bathroom was dirty and the tub did not drain. Maintenance came up twice and it still did not work. Missing lightbulbs in the room and they never were replaced.
The access to the beach and the view were phenomenal. Definitely felt like paradise
The beds are hard and we saw 2 HUGE roaches
The proximity to the beach and other pools.
Reception desk is unreachable and short staffed. We lost water to our room and were not notified and once I went down to let them know the guy said "well you can go swim" !!!!! Absolutely not. We will not be back next year.
Beachfront, amenities, live music, wildlife(ducklings, squirrels, aquarium), convenience, staff was exceptional and very welcoming
Water pressure, elevators were down and shady, later check outs are only an hour more than your original check out, food is pricey
Bryce was very nice and gave us nice info
Gulf Side kitchen staff- Mimi, Erin, Jake and the rest of the staff that worked 6/28-7/2/2026... absolutely amazing people!! The friendliest staff ever, so nice and really make your visit feel special. I cannot say enough of how awesome they are!! Thank you!!
Awesome food, Tatum our server was great. Recommend RumFish Grill highly!!
What an amazing restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was awesome, and Jake was an amazing waiter. He was funny, kind, and took care of our every need. Our grandkids had a blast. Thank you, Jake, we will definitely come back. God bless America.
Most of our stay at the hotel was fine, however, we did encounter one major issue that really revealed a huge problem with the resort which was the customer service. We had booked about 12 rooms for a 10 year old baseball team and that process was great. They worked really well with my husband in securing the block of rooms and ensuring everyone got what we needed. The problem came when our boys and their siblings were playing on the large waterslide. Now as parents, we all understood that sometimes kids will tend to get themselves in trouble because they are kids and in a large group, however, what happened is not something that should ever happen to any child or to any person to be exact. Our kids came running back on Friday afternoon telling us that the worker up on the slide was forcefully throwing them down the slide and it was not in a fun nature. Now this obviously is a second hand account of what happened, but I believe our children and am recounting their version of the story. Our boys get threatened and scared. My 13 year old son also told me and in his words that the worker on the slide whispered in his ear,"that he wished that she would have gone down the slide on his(the worker's) lap". Again, I can't prove anything and this was my sons words. My son felt very uncomfortable though. So after we as parents find out about the pushing down the slide, we all made our way down there to only be met with not great customer service. We had already stopped security and made them come down with us. When a female manager finally made it to the slide, her first course of action was to talk to the young man who was on top of the slide that our boys said pushed them down the slide. She then sent him into the hotel and off the beach. She then proceeded to just stand there and said nothing to a group of angry parents. My husband and I then approached her and one of the first things she had said was that she had been getting reports of our children acting up all day on the slide. Which if that is the case, how come we were not notified and how come ours kids were still allowed on the slide. I did remove myself from the conversation at that point because I was very unhappy with my kids being blamed. That manager did eventually walk away from all of the parents saying she was done with them(from what I was told). Now my biggest problem with that is how she did not want to address the issue but also how she was to blame the kids because they were causing problems. Now from a human being perspective, when did it become okay for anyone to lay their hands on a child or anyone just because they were acting up? Never. We even called the police but they did nothing either because of course they only talked to the worker too. Not once did anyone from the hotel even ask to speak to any of the children only the parents. While I do believe the second manager we spoke to did handle the situation better, I still feel like nothing was resolved. We were told an investigation would happen and we would be notified. However, I feel like because it happened on Friday and our check out was for Sunday, someone should have stopped by our room or called us before we left. Here we are Monday evening and still not a call. One of the employees physically touched my child and crickets from the resort. I had expected A call from the general manager first thing Monday morning. I hope something gets changed at this hotel or in the future a child will get hurt if they are okay with their employees laying hands on their guests. I truly hope and pray that they figure out customer service there for the guests in the future, but I know I will never be back there again.
Even though there was some weather in the area, Seth and Cortez were so helpful and sweet, we will definitely be back.
Great location and amenities
Great for family vacation. Many pools and the beach is beautiful. Kudos to Kase & Seth at the chair/umbrella hut..not only did they set up our “camp” on the beach for the day they were very informative about activities and resort details. Truly went above and beyond!
Available amenities
No washcloths in our room. Not as clean as it should be, mold around side of soap holders in shower. The arcade game in the lobby was very annoying. Only one elevator was working.
Don’t go on the slide they throw you and cuss at you
Trent was amazing! Good food good service
Tina at Gulfside Kitchen does an amazing job. Always our top choice for lunch!
Our bartender Chela was an absolute delight and her customer service deserves 5 stars. Excellent conversation
This hotel is definitely using AI for their photos. Completely deceiving. My comforter had blood on it, the WiFi was spotty at best, and the room was last updated in 1992. We ended up cutting our stay short (as did many others) and went to another hotel. The hotel staff wouldn’t check us out on the requested early check out date.
We decided to stay an extra day because we liked it so much, and we got moved to 6818 and the door to the bathroom you had to use all your strength to get it open!!
Do NOT stay here. We came to Rumfish to enjoy a few nights with our 7 year old and 12 week old (her first beach trip) but it has been nothing but chaotic, unpleasant, and disgusting experiences with no help from management. Our first night here our AC was broken, the floors were filthy as if they hadn’t been cleaned, and our shower drain was clogged and a regular shower turned into being stuck in ankle deep dirty water. The final straw for that room was POOP on the toilet seat from the previous guest which had obviously not been cleaned by housekeeping… a total health hazard. Then the room started to smell like raw sewage. When reporting to the front desk we were told first that there were no rooms available but when we asked to speak to a manager they suddenly had a room available that was in “upgrade”. The room did have a gulf view instead of a courtyard view but it was so much smaller than our first room and had no full size fridge, only a mini fridge, so I did not consider this an upgrade when we have a baby with formula that needs to be refrigerated as well as a pack n play and stroller and extra items that take up space. It took us hours and hours to go back and forth between the front desk (as you can never reach anyone by phone) and then hours moving our items to our new room that we wasted our entire first day and night. Our second room also had multiple issues. We have had no hot water our entire stay in our new room, despite someone coming out and saying it was fixed. We had to take cold showers and cold baths with a crying 12 week old baby who can’t regulate body temperature. Our mini fridge in the room was also BROKEN which we didn’t know until the next day so I had to throw away over $60 worth of my baby’s formula and multiple perishable food items. The front desk has been less than helpful with trying to make true amends to the situation, barely offering us anything by not charging us for daily parking and resort fees (which we didn’t even get to use due to our constant back and forth between the front office). When trying to reach the director of the resort I am not being responded to. Beyond the multiple health hazards like human feces and having to throw away special allergy baby formula, the Tradewinds lost what could have been lifelong business from my family. Do not waste your vacation staying here.
This place is absolutely disgusting. Worst place we have ever stayed at. First off, check in they are very understaffed at front desk. No matter time there will always be 10 people waiting to talk to the desk. We finally check in get to room to just find it’s not what we booked. We had booked a 2 queen bed gulffront villa with balcony. They put us in a 2 double bed without any balcony. So I had to go back down stairs wait in line again, to only be told our room wouldn’t be ready right now (mind you it was after 6 pm) and they would call me when ready. So we go to dinner, I get a call while there to say there is an engineering issue and they can not move us. They will remove our resort and parking fees for our stay. Now the only reason we even booked this place was due to it having queen size beds as my husband is 6 ft 6 inch tall big guy. Double beds is not what we paid for. So when we get back from dinner i go and wait in line once again. Explain situation and then am told they have a room for us with queen beds. New room is so gross. Reeks of mildew. Carpet on floors which is gross by the beach. Carpet needs to be ripped out. I know there is mold in there. We stay only to avoid moving again with 2 little kids now that it is after 8 pm. We should of gone home. Found more disgusting stuff during our stay. Ice bucket full of water in cabinet, dirty silverware and cups. Giant cockroach we got to see the morning leaving. My husband regrets looking under the bed before we left as is was covered in nasty crap and garbage. My kid suffers from asthma and allergies he is sick from staying in a moldy mildew room. Whole place is gross. No ice to be found. I went looking with my own Tupperware. Ice room in our building was absolutely disgusting. I doubt that is ever cleaned. All ice was out in both buildings. This place should be shut down. O and to top it off they still charged me for resort and parking fees. I called yesterday and left message with my name and number and was told I would be called back. Never got a call. Called 4 times today to just have it ring and ring and ring. Do yourself a favor and literally stay anywhere else. Can’t believe we paid what we did to just end up sleeping in a dirty hell hole that made my kid sick.
Brittini and Steph are extremely pleasant, always smiling, and make AMAZING DRINKS!
Activities for kids
My room smelled like sewer
Kase was very helpful and extremely kind! Definitely recommend!!
Kase was amazing!!!! He helped us with whatever we needed, also he told us the best places to eat at, thanks kase
Great service and food! Mark was great!!!!
Mark at the Gulf Side Kitchen was excellent. So kind and makes you feel at home. The best place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This whole resort was more than I expected, will be back!!!
Overall, the stay was okay! I was here for a professional development and looking to relax in my downtime- it is a very family friendly resort. I personally would have wished for more than 1 adult only space. Finding a quiet space to relax on this 40 acre proved challenging, even at the beach. However, for families and children? An amazing spot- lots of kid friendly amenities. Wonderful to be right on the beach. Additionally, the property is HUGE and unfortunately the front desk staff gave very little orientation. However, all of the support staff- from golf cart attendants to the recreation team, to even the bariesta on the Rumfish side (wish I remembered her name!) were super helpful and willing to answer any questions. Stephanie at the Cabana bar was amazing- engaging and genuinely cared about the guest experience. I ended up sitting in front of this bar, with 2 rows of beach chairs, most often- due to her friendly service and less children around :)
Kayla and Victoria were amazing. Always attentive and fun to talk to while we were hanging out. I recommend them they are the best.
Victoria and Kayla were fantastic! The beach side bar was a great experience, the vibes and service were top tier!
kase was the best we couldn’t have had a better day at the beach!!
Location, reception service, Mariah was very friendly and helpful, congratulations.
Kase was very helpful setting me up at the beach was super respectful
Case just recommended me the best Clearwater beach spot of all time.
Kase was very helpful with setting me up at the beach, he got us towels and umbrellas and helped us find a good place to eat.
Kase was the best!!! he helped us get a great seat and enjoy the beach!!
Amazing experience love the people there. Kase was great.

Bryce is the best beach boy we’ve had super respectful! Never want anyone else!
Bryce is the best worker here! Make sure you ask Bryce for help
