Location is great. Close to shopping and restaurants.
Our room was located on 1st floor. We heard a lot of noise from the elevator and cleaning crew. The first night they had patio music, drinks and food available We had terrible service. Had to ask for water refill 3x. Food was not that good. Server disappeared so we had to flag someone to get our check. Overall, not great.
The hotel is in a great location in Prescott. Walking distance to whiskey row. We were in Prescott during an arts and crafts festival in the park. It is a great time and the weather was perfect.
This is a beautiful and charming, nearly 100 year-old hotel. It just has so much personality. We enjoyed it very much and it had an excellent location. It even has an elevator that is original to the building. Lots of fun historical photos, and information placed around the hotel, with period appropriate furnishings, and delicious food at the Peacock restaurant located inside the hotel. Great view from our room.
The AC blower is rather loud for sleeping, and the room was a tad bit tight. No refrigerator.
Love the nostalgia of the building and the staff is prepared to help you in any way
There in nothing to dislike it was a wonderful stay
The wait staff at the Peacock Room. The front desk staff. Everyone was nice, friendly and helpful.
The location
The price and loud air conditioning
You had to wait for elevator & it was old needed operator. Cute but needed
CLEAN ROOM AND BED.
BATHROOM WAS SO SMALL. NOISE FROM OTHER GUESTS IN HALLWAY
Location, service, and evening music were excellent.
Bathrooms could use an update.
This hotel was exactly as expected. It is old. The aesthetic is that of an old hotel with a lot of nostalgia and reminiscent of those times which is what drew us to stay here. If you want the features of a new hotel without creaky floors and doors, do not stay here. The bed and pillows were a bit firm for our liking, but that is an individual preference. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant, we loved it.
The room was perfect we really enjoyed it!No complaints

We had such a wonderful time. Hassayampa Inn excels in customer service. No matter who we encountered, they were kind and helpful and seemed to really enjoy working there. The room was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. We loved it and will return!
A historical hotel, it has original or similar accents like dark wood trim, velvet chairs, painted tiles, etc.
There wasn’t much water pressure but that is to be expected for 100 year old plumbing!
The location is in downtown Prescott. The hotel is very cool.
The beds are as hard as a rock. I know it's a 100 year old hotel, but get some memory foam pads. We slept there two nights. I would not recommend it at all. Very uncomfortable.
Lovely stay. Hotel has really history. Live violin music in the bar leaked nicely into dining room. Good value stay and dinner. Comfortable room and bed. You should stay here, then decide if its best for every visit.
Nothing, but I may have been lucky to find very close parking spot.
I got extremely sick , there was definitely black mold in there, very sour smell, can see the black mold in the corners of the bathroom. For $170 worse value I ever got
I liked the way it looked , got extremely sick after from the hotel
Helpful friendly staff. Great location.
First room (king bed) excellent. Second room (2 twin beds) small room, phone didn't work, noisy next room through connecting door.
We love the hotel location and staff . They welcome dogs so nicely . We always stay here when visiting Prescott.
The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is beautiful.
Close to Whiskey Row, but a climb back up to the hotel. Dinner on the patio was nice, but the singer guy was not really a singer as he just talked the words to the songs. He played the piano well though.
Everywhere we went in the hotel had a funky smell. The restaurant, the lobby, the rooms and hallways smelled like funky/musty almost moly. Stepping outside changed things.
Very convenient to town center. Staff were very accommodating. Comfy beds. Enjoyed riding the old elevator.
Shower was small
Location and the overall experience was nice 😊
The pillows and no bottle water in the room .
Came up for the weekend from Phoenix, wanted to stay downtown so I picked the Inn. Easy to find, centrally located. Can walk to the courthouse square or whisky row. Numerous restaurants close by. Unloaded in front of hotel and bell staff took bags upstairs. Parking is on the street or in a lot across the street. Had fourth floor room facing street corner; somewhat noisy late night, quieter in the morning. Note; hotel has old time elevator which must be operated by hotel staff, but they were always handy. Room was small but clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff was probably the best we've experienced in a long time. Had live music outside, lobby is very traditional but cozy and comfortable. Cost was a little higher than we normally pay, but worth it in my opinion. Definetly a good first time experience in Prescott.
The rooms are a little bit small and I understand that this is a historical site. Food at the restaurant it's excellent. Very centrally located to the town Square shopping and more restaurants. The lobby is very comfortable, a good place to take a break after being in the sun.
Love the woodwork in this turn of the century landmark. Lobby is way cool, good coffee bar, restaurant and evening bar. Premiere location, 2 block off whiskey row! And pet friendly!
Overall all carpeting was fine, but need to be replaced on the staircases.
The entire property is so historically interesting. The rooms are smallish, as was probably typical for the times. You can feel the stories beyond the present time. Efforts have been made to retain the original interior with bits of modern world added as need-be. The restaurant Peacock Room has a fantastic 20's vibe with it's Art Deco appeal. We enjoyed this step back in time.
The property lives up to its reputation as a landmark! We were only there for one night and were not able to enjoy the ambiance in full.
The ambience. The front desk staff was excellent. Location perfect.
The workout room was dismal. For the price, there should be free breakfast.
Classic hotel. Lots of character. Friendly helpful staff. Well done
Lovely old hotel charm.
Wonderful Historic hotel. The staff was so willing to help, whether it was carrying bags or operating to elevator. The patio is lovely. Happy hour and live music was favorite. Walking the downtown was fun. So many shops and restaurants.
There wasn't much of anything to not like. The bathroom sink was very short. Kind of expected in such an old hotel.
Excellent location for all events! Beautiful Inn, very clean and well maintained. Easy access to the center of town by foot! This historical Inn is absolutely breathtaking!! Second time we stayed and continues to amaze us as to how nice it is!
Very little, because it is a Historical Inn. For its age it continues to welcome you! The rooms are a bit small, but the larger rooms are for King size beds and have refrigerators. One elevator and many stairs to all floors.
This hotel has a way of making you feel right at home and of course the friendly staff makes it impossible not to enjoy your stay. The relaxed vibe that this place has is undeniable. Recommendations for hotels are extremely subjective so I will just say that I definitely will stay here again.
A small walk from courthouse park.
The confined space in the bathroom. I almost hit my head each time I had to pee, I’m female do I sit each time.
We love this inn! It has such a historic charm to it. The rooms are quant and perfectly acceptable, despite being an old facility. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, just a couple of blocks from the center of town. We had an excellent breakfast in the dining room.
There is only 1 old elevator, and you need an operator to take you up and down. Otherwise, you need to be able to walk up a few flights of stairs.
Staff was exceptional! Location is awesome.
Nothing
The property is located a block off Whiskey Row.
It is an older property, the rooms are small and the floors creak when you walk across them. That is also part of the charm.
We love the historical aspect, the location and the staff are always great and helpful. We always stay at the Hassayampa Inn when in Prescott
You have to enjoy the historical nature of the hotel which can mean smaller rooms etc. but we are fine with all of that for the charm.
Beautiful property with a fun history.
Carpet on the stairs kinda smelled like wet dog.
The staff was so courteous and kind, I had an injury to my leg and they exceeded what I expected. The staff were so helpful in showing me the things that I could do so that I could get around. Their kindness was so much appreciated. The courtesy and kindness that they showed me exceeded in every aspect.
I know the hotel is old. It would’ve have been nice if the room would have been a little more spacious than what it was. Because of the injury to my leg. I had to a clean myself in other ways because I could not step over into the. I don’t know if you have wheelchair accessible bathrooms at the hotel if so, that needs to be part of your website so your customers can book that kind of room.
Location was perfect !!! We ate breakfast at another location
The bathroom was very small in our room. Other than that it was very nice
What a remarkable experience. A magical place. Yes, it’s old and yes, it’s charming. The management and the employees elevate the experience to exceptional. The food is excellent. From the coffee to the coffee cake, from the omelettes to the scallops with risotto, the food is unparalleled. And the bar is a genuinely fun experience. Great drinks and entertainment, indoors and outside on the patio as well. A repeat guest, there’s simply no reason to stay anywhere else. So many people make this place so very special, regardless of the season of the year.
Walking distance to town and historical charm.
Our dinner in the dinning room was a very bad experience.
The staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel is charming and very clean. Love the old elevator.
Nothing!
The location is amazing - one block from courthouse square/Whiskey Row - and the rooms are comfortable and have modern amenities while retaining their historic character. The staff and service truly are exceptional, and unique in my experience in a property that is such good value for money. The property has free parking, a restaurant and breakfast room on site, and will assist you with just about anything should you need it!
The layout of our room (King suite) this time around was smaller/less comfortable than on a previous visit - the door led into the bedroom rather than the sitting room, and the bathroom was *tiny* and not accessible without disturbing the occupant of the bedroom at night. However, the convenience of being on the "ground floor" (up six steps) made up for it. The sofa bed was *extremely* difficult to pull out, and was a two person job both to open and close.
Very friendly staff, especially Shane. Clean room and good shower for a historic landmark style hotel. Live music each night on the patio which is a nice touch. Spacious lobby, but very small bar.
Breakfast choices are good; service takes a bit of time so don't expect to get in and out quickly. Food is over-priced but the quality is good. If you just want a cup of coffee in the morning, there isn't a free set up in the lobby, so you'll pay $6 at the coffee bar they have available. Location is downtown and a block from the courthouse, but you'll be walking back up hill which could be a challenge for anyone that struggles with getting around. The St. Michael's is in a better location for Shops and Whiskey Row, however they don't have a lot of rooms with two queen/double beds, so it's more favorable to couples. The Bistro at the St. Michael's has better food and at a lower cost. I've stayed at both hotels' multiple times over a 30 year span.
Room and vintage decor ..restaurant and bar on site! Good location
Bathroom could use some deep cleaning and I know it's an Historical Building but it smells that way too
How stuffy and stale it smelled
Great room, location and vibe
Parking a little tricky
The Hassayampa Inn has it all in Prescott AZ. It is across the street from the Courthouse Square, Whiskey Row and great shopping. Restaurants abound. The staff is amazing and the older hotel has been mechanically updated but retains the 1920's charm. The staff is first rate and will make your stay the way you want. Monica at the front desk is the best!
This was a girls trip with a friend and sister having a birthday. Just a one night stay which was absolutely fabulous! The hotel is very historic and beautiful and we arrived during happy hour with a musician playing on a quaint patio. The hotel has been updated but has kept the authenticity of its 99 year history. Black and white photographs line the walls, a fabulous fireplace and mural in the lobby, and a vintage elevator which is apparently one of two in the state. If you visit, I hope you have the opportunity to meet Shane, who welcomed us at the front desk and then multitasked as our bellhop. He was extremely patient with us, coming out to the car and collecting everything. (It was ridiculous what we managed to bring for a road trip and one night.) Beyond just being courteous, he set the tone for a festive and enjoyable evening. He gave us a ride in the elevator, (only operated by staff) and took us up to the 4th floor where Faith the rumored ghost roams the hall and haunts the room she stayed in prior to her suicide. He had one surprise for us which I won’t share here as I don’t want to spoil for future guests. Shane and his wonderful spirit and generosity of time totally made our stay an adventure and my sister’s birthday a great success. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable time and I hope to return some day! Ginny Ward
Nice staff and coffee counter in lobby. Comfy room. We stayed an extra night bc it was so nice. Good food in restaurant.
All good
Every thing was great.
Had to call an attendant to use the elevator because it is original to the historic building.
Tout vraiment tout
Rien
I liked the fact that it was close to activities in town (whiskey row) and within walking distance. The building had a lot of character.
The price was not great for the accommodations and small room. Since the building was old, there were some smells in certain areas that were not pleasant.
The location is perfect; you feel like you've stepped back in time. I love the decor throughout the hotel.
For the price, it could include breakfast. I think breakfast included would be a great addition to this hotel.
Beautiful historic hotel located downtown Prescott where all the fun is near by Whiskey Row yet far enough away that the hotel is quiet. Our room was very comfortable, clean, very quiet with nice amenities. Be sure to call the hotel directly. Don’t be miss led by sites pretending to be the hotel. This happened to me and it was our first time visiting this hotel. I called the hotel to confirm the reservation and was lucky enough to get Shane at the front desk. That is when I realized that where I made the reservation wasn’t really the hotel, but Shane cleared everything up for me.Made sure I got the room that I wanted and went above and beyond. When we arrived, we were helped to our fourth floor room with all of our luggage. We enjoyed a Mother’s Day brunch at the Peacock room, which had delicious food and amazing service. Highly recommend this hotel. If you’re going to be visiting Prescott be sure to call the hotel directly in the evenings and ask for Shane. He’ll take great care of you.
We travelled first week of May 2026 to visit my mom. The hotel is located downtown Prescott, AZ and is very beautiful. We had a room on the 2nd floor (Main floor) so we didn't have to use the elevator. Our room was a Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed. The room was large enough for our needs. The staff told us that since we were on the main floor, if the noise got too loud, we could close the hallway door, but we never had too. We never had an issue with the noise level. The bed mattress was comfortable, but the pillows were all medium loft/firm, and I prefer a soft low-loft pillow that flattens. The TV was smaller than what you might find in a newer hotel, but it was adequate. The bathtub shower was nice in that there are separate hot/cold faucet handles so the temperature was easy to control. The sink though was the one item that was a problem for us. It is located directly between 2 walls so there was hardly any room for my wife to get ready each day. The sink has no surrounding countertop and there is no shelving directly above sink to put makeup or curling iron, etc. The on-site restaurant, The Peacock Room, was very nice and has wonderful food. For breakfast I had the Skillet Bowl which was nice and the next morning had the Lemon Soufflé Pancakes which were fabulous. The pancakes were very light and very tasty. The best part of our stay at the hotel was the fabulous service. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. Ten minutes after checking in, we received a call from the front desk to ask if everything was OK with our room. We were always greeted when leaving or arriving in the lobby.
The feel of being in a historic hotel. There was some nostalgia connected to the stay.
I was quite pleased overall. The room was small but fine for one person. Two people may have felt a little cramped.
Everyone was outstanding in service, and with a smile.i loved everything about this hotel.
N/a
Nice bar and restaurant.
The air conditioner in our room 402 was rather loud.
way over priced with no benefits
rates and no breakfast
Shane and Tara were both very helpful when we the Cura Awit family checked in. Shane helped with luggage, the elevator and welcomed us each and every time we entered the Hotel The young barista girl was also very curtious each morning. Our room cleaners were very polite and did a fabulous job. Our 5 day stay was wonderful. Thank you.
Location and that it is a historic building
Over priced for room
Remember it is a old hotel but do not let that stop you from booking a stay.It is updated the rooms are smaller but will be fine for your stay. The rooms were clean and bed very comfortable. The shower and toilet room are small and tight. We stayed in suite 204.The staff was excellent they take care of there customers friendly and attentive to your needs
Clean and comfortable
Location of parking lot
Small room
The interior of the hotel was beautifully furnished, like walking into the past. The charm of the hotel just felt warm and inviting. The bed was so comfortable, best sleep ever, the staff was so friendly and willing to help with our needs. Would definitely love to stay here again
The only thing was the bathroom was so small, there wasn't any room to move around. My husband was disappointed that he didn't get to visit with Faith the local ghost .
Short visit for us, we did not eat in the restaurant this time. We are old, so the stairs were a challenge.
Nothing.
Location and friendly staff
No negative
Very nice for being so old of a building
Shower is very small if you’re a tall person I’m 6’2” so it takes some finagling to shower but it’s very doable
The deluxe king suite was very cozy. Also the old time elevator was a throwback for sure. I loved it.
The history & location
Small rooms
The driveway for dropping off your passengers and bags is very narrow, adequate perhaps for horse and carriage, but barely wide enough for a Dodge RAM Laramie Sport 4x4. Only two handicap parking spaces, so we had to park in an unmonitored, unlit parking lot across the street from the hotel. The rooms are old fashioned, on the small size, but quaint. We were given a corner room which was nice and bright, but didn’t have much of a view. Housekeeping missed a lot in cleaning the bathroom: the mirror hadn’t been cleaned; there were streaks (?) on the front of the toilet which a bleach wipe took care of — and the overall impression of the toilet bowl was that it was dirty. The worst part of the hotel is the elevator to all rooms: to get from the main floor to the elevator door, you have to climb steps (that have no handrails). Having both damaged knees and shoulders, carrying 2 suitcases and a carry-on bag (each) required three precarious trips up and down the stairs for both of us. Not at all ADA-friendly, and just plain dangerous for anyone with disabilities. As we were leaving the hotel, staff told us that we could have someone help us with our bags, but after waiting 20+ minutes in our room, we took the elevator and carried the bags down to the main floor ourselves — which was easier than carrying them up when we got here. The service was very slow in the bar lounge. The food was disappointing, the dinner entree meat was tasteless; side dishes were also disappointing — especially the “salad” which was a few pieces of spring mix (adequate maybe for a pet rabbit or parrot). Breakfast was adequate, an omelet heaped with bland cheese. Passable coffee, but my cup came pre-stained with coffee streaks and lipstick… obviously not my color. Our server wasn’t very observant, serving coffee in a cup that hadn’t been washed. Asked to replace the cup, she stared at me: perhaps she thought that the lipstick was mine? On checkout, I learned that my room rate didn’t have the pre-arranged discount applied for my group. The hotel clerk escalated my inquiry to the hotel manager, who told me that as the hotel was full the previous night, the discount didn’t apply. Huh? Last: one of those attending the meeting I chaired (not at the hotel) had their vehicle broken into during the night. Can’t wait to read their review. Prescott doesn’t have many great hotels — and I think I’ll pass this one up in the future: I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but the climb up the stairs to the hotel elevator is enough to persuade me not to take future chances of breaking my neck there.nig
This is a grand, old hotel which retains some of the glamor of times past. Rooms are a bit small, but they do a good job of including extras like microwaves and mini-fridges. The public areas retain their glory, especially the large main lobby. There is also an outdoor area with umbrellas and tables. There is a small bar that cascades into a lounge with music in the evenings. The main dining room seems recently remodeled and the food is good, though not remarkable. It is an easy walk to the city green and a ton of restaurants and bars (Whiskey Row). Just across the street is new, modern and ambitious restaurant called RWB
La Historia que envuelve al Hotel. Sus decoraciones y muebles
Charming historical building, fantastic location, super dog friendly, very quiet, lovely staff
Nothing!
Terrific friendly staff, lovely historical building in terrific location.
Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location. Loved the historic feel. Like the wood floors.
Room and bathroom were small. Might bother some but I didn’t mind. Still a very nice room. Had everything, just in a small space.
Staff was great
Location is good for walking downtown. The food at the grill is more fancy than average; if you’re looking for simple and comfortable food you might want somewhere else to eat; if you like fancy then it is a nice and convenient choice. The food of dinner and breakfast tasted good and had very good service. We loved the history that was maintained at the hotel. Information of the hotel’s history is noted in all areas.
Be aware that you cannot use prepaid credit or debit cards to pay for your hotel room but they did work for the restaurant.
We loved the architecture and character of the buildings and the location. The staff was very gracious and friendly.
Given it's an old building, the walls are not very soundproof. There were young kids playing in the halls for several hours before bed.
This is such a gem! The location is perfect and the hotel is so charming. It is immaculately clean and the staff are so attentive. The housekeeping is impeccable and the bed was made to a standard I have not seen in a long time.
There was nothing I didn't like
