Staff were welcoming and friendly and the dog was well catered for. It is close to the motorway which suited us as we were on a stopover on our way home from Scotland.

The room was a bit tired and under the bed was very dirty, the dog was constantly sniffing and scraping to get at the debris.🙁

Needed a suite for my wedding party, so from that point of view it was a good size.

No personal touches considering it was for my wedding. They didn’t clean the room after I left with my bridesmaids, so first night with husband room not cleaned or bed changed.

Large carpark and location this suited our needs that’s why I choose it

Breakfast was good but the coffee machine was broken so getting a hot drink was difficult. Rooms were nice and facilities were good.

A noisy party was set up outside our bedroom for 4 hours. The loudspeaker was right outside our window and I think this was very inconsiderate and impacted us when we had returned to our rooms for a rest. The portions in the restaurant were very small for some meals.

Staff and facilities (swimming pool and health centre) were excellent.

Choice of breakfast food really good, also evening bar menu suited us and enjoyed. All staff helpful and pleasant. Plenty of different areas to relax, we didn’t use the spa as we were meeting with family who live in the area.

We stayed bank hol Monday 31st and would've preferred to write an `overall` revue because of the creamfields festival effect on the Hotel. However, being specific to question 3, BREAKFAST was good. breakfast was `normal` for a buffet breakfast but with a very good variety of fresh fruit platter, various breads, cereals, juices and hot `English` selection. Its a credit to the member of staff when I requested scrambled egg as opposed to the fried eggs available that he instantly said, `no problem` the freshly cooked egg being excellent. Coffee machines don't do it for us either at breakfast or in the room, that is just our preference. ROOM amazing, chic, large space, bath and separate shower, family dining table, huge tv (if your interested) but we thought great VFM! DINNER we didn't, unfortunately too tired! maybe next time?

As mentioned we are fully aware of our stay date (creamfields) and in our opinion there was nothing to dislike! Every member of staff that we encountered were professional and exceptional so will definitely stay again.

The hotel is overpriced and shabby. We stayed during Creamfields (was not going to Creamfields) and expected it to be noisy etc but the interior is outdated and extremely shabby. For what you pay I found this quite shocking.

Great location. Easy access to the Motorway and Warrington.

Easy access to the Motorway did bring some noise (especially with the window open in the warm weather). The staff could be more proactive with picking things up/cleaning. Food items and glasses were left outside bedrooms all day. Trolley used to clear the tables after breakfast had probably not been cleaned for several weeks/months. Luckily we only saw it on our last day!

Staff very friendly and room super clean. Made my little boy feel very welcome. Our second visit and will be back

The staff was a bit rude to my partner and thre was problems with thw toilet not flushing properly and also silver fish 1 or 2 found in tub when a guy was calling someone names and swearing while in presence of kids the staff didnt step in to calm them down to say stop swearing

Spa and leisure staff very friendly helpful and so polite. The pool and changing rooms clean and great facility to use as hotel guests. Bar staff polite ,smiling and happy to help the same as reception staff.

Breakfast staff and certain young staff within hotel not very friendly customer service non existence dropping cutlery when setting tables, didn't want to go above and beyond to help.The bedroom very hot in temperature even with two fans,very very uncomfortable,also not very clean full of dust mainly and old dated furniture. The beds very noisy and springs old on the bed.

My wife told me in the morning she could hear music in the early hours which made it tough for her to sleep.

Food was exceptional. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. That friendly and kind that we have decided to get gym memberships so we can go all the time !

The hotel itself is beautiful. The facilities, building and overall atmosphere are gorgeous, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the pool and gym, which were great facilities to have during our stay.

Unfortunately, our room was extremely hot and we could barely sleep. There was an air conditioning unit in the room, but it wasn’t working. The only fan provided didn’t help much. When we asked for help, we were told that air conditioning is only guaranteed in the public areas, not in the rooms, as stated in the small print. However, since there was an AC unit installed in our room, we naturally expected it to work. We were told they would find us another fan, but after asking twice, nothing happened. Eventually, around midnight, I went to reception again. The receptionist searched the staff area and found a small, partly broken fan for us. It helped a little, but we were four people sleeping in two beds, so it was far from enough. It’s a real shame because the hotel itself is lovely, but being able to sleep comfortably is the most basic requirement of a hotel stay.

The rooms were spacious and clean, the pool and spa facilities were great very relaxing, breakfast was plentiful and varied.

Aircon would have been lovely, although it wasn’t too hot I wouldn’t have wanted it any warmer.

Breakfast needs improvements - the cooked breakfast was not hot enough just warm & there were no eggs, I had to stand and wait to ask a member of staff and when they brought out a fresh lot they were cold! Cereals would be better served in dispensers rather than in large open serving dishes. Table service was extremely poor no one cleared anything from the table so we had to stack our own plates and dishes when we got toast & tea

Stayed in room 55. Woken on Monday morning at 6.30am by an aerobics class. Could make out every word of the songs. Asked reception to do something but nothing happened. Told the operational manager would give a partial refund but they’ve done nothing. Not returned my phone calls (not that you can get through), not emailed/ phoned me. Customer service appalling!

Great hotel to stay at with the dog

We stay at the park Royal almost every other month , victoria on the reception is always very professional and a credit to the hotel . We are regular visitors & breakaway members the room we were given was not the best room on this occassion we were next to the gym entrance , & overlooking the car park , we are always given a nice room , the food was lovely as always , there seemed to be a lot of new staff , a lot of the tables in the dining room were not cleared straight away & i had to clear my own table in the bar to take a seat near the window , We had a fire alarm at 12.00 midnight , which was very well organised and hats off to the fire marshall who too the role call very calm & professional , i did not recived my Breakaway card and chocs which are always normally a nice touch

All value for money got wrong dates mixed up rang them up and they were great & helpful x

Mooi hotel, je kunt er lekker in de bar zitten of gebruik maken van de spa en zwembad zonder bij te betalen. Honden waren ook welkom en er waren koekjes en ballen voor ze in de hal. Ontbijt was goed, personeel vriendelijk

We hadden in de nacht rond 12 uur een brandalarm en moesten allemaal het hotel uit. Degene die de lijst had om te kijken of iedereen er was, moet getraind worden. Hij had een megafoon en daar had hij duidelijk de situatie uit kunnen leggen wat er aan de hand was en dat iedereen op de verzamelplaats moest wachten. Er waren een paar kamernummer opgenoemd waar niemand op reageerde. Tegen de tijd dat onze kamer aan de beurt was, gaf de brandweer weer vrij. Hopelijk gaat het de volgende keer beter georganiseerd, zodat er geen ongelukken gebeuren.

The staff were fantastic from reception yo bar lounge staff and breakfast restaurant staff. Must say Victoria on reception was exceptional. However the hotel is looking a little tired. We booked a double room but did not have a safe or water and our coffee was not replenished at all. That was a little disappointing.

Large bedroom.9 Nice bar area to relax, Pool table good for children to play on plus swimming pool onus. Breakfast service was ok but they appeared short staffed but they did the best they could, coffee machine kept not working but again staff quick to fix it. I chose this hotel as it was dog friendly, but charging £25 per dog per night is excessive to say the least. If I had been aware of this when booking, we would not have stayed here.

Stayed here on route to catching the boat to Liverpool to the Isle of Man. We had a family room which after one night the bed was so soft that we asked to change rooms which they did. The breakfast was ok, the coffee machines not working for one morning, croissants weren’t re filled but we kept to toast and cold drinks and were fine. The food in the bar was nice albeit a bit pricey. The pool was enjoyed by the kids

Bigger than we thought very corporate wine very expensive and not good quality. Prices per bottle around £10 more than pub nearby and the pub had better wine.

The temperature of the room was a little high they did provide a fan but it wasnt much use. The bathroom could do with an update And the room service menu is a little restricted as a solo traveller i dont like eating in the restrauant

Check in process was a pleasant experience with Laura who addressed a few of our requests. Equally, all the staff were pleasant throughout our stay. Breakfast is good. Look forward to staying there again soon.

Outstanding spa break!! Customer service from Allison on reception, Donna Marie in the bar and mason in the restaurant was exceptional! The package was great value for money - the spa treatment was high standard - food in the restaurant was excellent. Three ladies who go regularly to spas - this was definitely one of the best! We’ll be back 😁😁😁

Nice room, good breakfast and great spa area. A flying one night visit where we were welcomed by a friendly lady on reception, and were pleasantly surprised with the room facilities and cleanliness. The view was nice and we used the spa for a couple of hours which was well equipped as was the gym. Breakfast was great in the morning and overall we enjoyed the stay although we didn’t eat there in the evening or use the bar so are rating on limited experience.

Stayed at the hotel 3 times always enjoyed it, staff friendly, room good and this time we used the spa that was excellent.

When I booked the 3 night stay with booking.com I stated we were tacking a small dog and they came back with there is no cost for this. I then got an email from Park Royal saying it would be £25 for the dog. It wasn't until we got home we realised it was £25 per night, if we'd known this at the time we would have stayed elsewhere in the area. Rather steep cost for a dog a miniature Schnauzer that doesn't shed hair or malt, when we left you wouldn't have known a dog had been in the room.

Room was nice. Spa was nice and easily accessible, with a bar at reception too. I was working nights, and the 2pm fire alarm wake up wasn’t great. I’d of been fine with it , should it have been real, but I was a drill😔 Hey ho. Can’t be helped but it did ruin me for my night shift. I’d happily stay here again, I might be putting a note on my booking that I’m working nights next time lol.

At breakfast the food was not replenished quick enough so had to wait ages till they brought out freshly cooked, and the coffee machines werent working and it seemed the staff had no idea how to fix them ☹️

Spa treatments were brilliant and the relaxation room before/after was lovely and peaceful. The sauna and steam room were a good size. Jacuzzi tub is a tight 4 person one so quite intimate with strangers. Pool was a lovely size, however 1 lane reserved with kids swimming lessons. Only 6 loungers by the pool and a couple of large sofas where the parents of kids swimming lessons were so quite cosy if you wanted to sit. Crushed ice and a cold/hot shower with lights. Changing rooms good size, with plenty of mirrors and hairdryers. Hotel room very big size which was good amd breakfast buffet was great. We also had a pizza at lunch which was delicious. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here a year ago to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary (55years) and were looking forward to a similar experience. The Hotel is very conveniently located close to the M56 motorway and Liverpool and Manchester Airports. A two night deal inclusive of Breakfast and Evening Meals, was similar to the previous visit. During our stay however we noticed a deterioration in the standard of the room with a non-functioning roof fan and windows that would not stay open for ventilation, small details with significant consequences. The room however was very clean and the bathroom seemed to have had a refurb of sorts. The first meal was disappointing to say the least. I could have walked a fair distance on the Gammon, small, tough and gristly. Luke appeared to be the only Member of Staff on duty and showed amazing tolerance and perseverance in trying to keep all the customers happy and should be commended for it. The second meal was a huge improvement reminiscent of our previous visit. So in general a pleasant experience but with room for improvement. The Staff are very caring and helpful but a few more would not go amiss on occasions. The breakfast is very good both in quality and quantity, a great experience for us both.

I had a massage with Annmarie and it was hands down the best massage I have ever had. I had such bad back tension and was worried I would only receive a tickle, well how wrong was I, I left feeling so relaxed and fell asleep during the treatment! My back is finally free of tension. I will be back again, thank you!

Everything was excellent. Lovely helpful staff. Got us in our room early, free toothbrush as I'd forgotten mine, clean, comfortable rooms. Great choice at breakfast. Excellent value..one thing wrong. The gym was below our room and we had a rude awakening with very loud music at 6.30am for 45mins...some energetic exercise class. Apart from that...all good.

My room was clean and comfortable. The location was near to family so convenient. Breakfast was plentiful and the spa swimming pool pleasant but if I stay again I would have my swim in the evening as the morning swim was accompanied by loud dance music and an over enthusiastic aqua excersise group. 😉

We are members of the health club. Whilst in the lounge area I overheard a young member of staff (Reece/Rhys) giving a more mature lady an introductory talk on membership. He was really pleasant, professional, sympathetic and encouraging with this lady, asxwell as enthusing about enjoying his own emoloyment. Well done young man

Breakfast was delicious but not all trays were full and had to wait. And the plates were too hot to hold without napkins. Need more coffee machines as long queue so breakfast going cold.
