Hotel Berchielli

The hotel was in a cul-de-sac and hard to find - by me, by the people I asked for directions, and by the taxi I ultimately had to hire to get there. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but it was dark and looked directly into the apartments of the neighboring building - not the canal/river. The breakfast was good and most of the desk staff were courteous, though somewhat grudging in providing information.

My departure could have been improved. I was waiting for a taxi to the train station. Some ten minutes later, this man told the next lady that there were no taxis available. Off I rushed.

Haus hat eine wunderbare Lage direkt am Ufer des Arno, und ist vom Bahnhof zu Fuß trotzdem nur rund 15 min. entfernt. Sehr gutes und vielfältiges Frühstück.

Das Hotel erstreckt sich über vermutlich 3 Altbauten, ist damit etwas verschachtelt und wirkt wie ein Labyrinth... Das Einzelzimmer war unter dem Dach, am vemutlich heißesten Tag des Jahres war es entweder sehr laut (mit Klimaanlage) oder sehr drückend heiß (ohne). Zum Schlafen nicht so ideal, aber da kann das Hotel eigentlich kaum etwas dafür.

The location is great, and easy walking distance to most everything.

I thought from looking at photos of the terrace area there was a view. Sadly, there was not. Additionally, one of the lifts was not working properly for two of my four night stay. I thought I was going to be trapped when the internal door only partially closed.

hôtel très bien placé (tout se fait à pied) et service impeccable. le petit déjeuner était bon avec beaucoup de choix,? la chambre était grande avec une belle salle de bain.

La chambre avait 2 fenêtres qui donnaient sur des cours intérieures donc sans lumière. la lumière a toujours été allumée dans la journée ce qui est bien dommage.

I really liked it here. My single room was large, clean, had a comfy bed, giant bathroom, fridge, desk, slippers. It was VERY lovely and quiet. Tastefully decorated. The outdoor garden on 4th floor was great, breakfast had a large variety, Front desk staff was kind and made me feel welcome. 4 minute walk to Uffizi, 15 minute walk to train station. I hope to return. Thank you!

This hotel was spectacular and closely located to the Ponte Vecchio. The location was perfect and the staff extremely friendly and accommodating.

Perfect location, convenient to most landmarks and is on the riverside that provides fantastic views of the Arno River and the other side of the river. Staffs were friendly and professional. Will stay again next time visiting Florence.

Loved everything. The location is perfectly overlooking the river and The Ponte Vecchio bridge. The view from the executive room is spectacular!. All staff with excellent customer service including the bar man who tried to custom make my spritz and turning down the bed, was another lovely touch.

The stay was nearly perfect. However, the hotel has several landing areas with no lift access, which meant carrying suitcases up and down multiple sets of stairs. This was inconvenient and definitely impacted the overall comfort of the experience.

De locatie was werkelijk perfect; de kamers keken uit op de Arno en je kon vanuit de hotelkamer naar de Ponte Vecchio kijken. En je zat vlak bij het oude centrum: alle mooie bezienswaardigheden waren binnen 5 tot 10 minuten lopen bereikt.

We waren daar op een van de warmste dagen van het jaar. De airco was daar duidelijk niet op voorbereid.

Sicuramente la posizione sul Lungo Arno e nel centro della città è la prima cosa che piace. Ma anche l’accoglienza e l’ospitalità della reception sono veramente di livello.

Az elhelyezkedés és a szoba zseniális, ahogy a reggeli és a személyzet is. Egy estét töltöttünk csak itt, de szívesen megszállok újra.

Az amit a kocsimmal műveltek az elfogadhatatlan. Ugye a belvárosban van a szálloda, így inast kértem, hogy vigyék el és parkolják le. Azt még elfogadom, hogy a sportosabb kivitel miatt gyorsan mentek esetleg vele, de az a sár ami az oldalán volt mikor visszahozták, illetve az, hogy minden el volt állítva (nem az ülés, hanem a teljes fedélzeti számítógép) elfogadhatatlan. Feláras szolgáltatásért elvárhatom, hogy vigyázzanak az autómra és csak a szükséges módon használják.

Checking out we were informed the tourist tax was €14.50 for one night, i was then presented with a had held type machine and was told to quickly choose a number stupidly I did 15 please bear in mind I had no idea or explation his actions. Checking my bank all I see is tourist tax €29. I was scammed out of €15. Also the male receptionist quickly took all receipts I got no receipts for tourist tax or unknown other charges I am not impressed Plesae I would like an explanation

Excellent emplacement. Le personnel, plutôt expérimenté, était d'une attention remarquable — on sentait un vrai savoir-faire, comme dans les hôtels d'autrefois où le service était un art. La décoration a un charme un peu rétro, qui donne à l'établissement un cachet authentique, loin des hôtels standardisés d'aujourd'hui. Salle de bain bien équipée spacieuse.

Le bruit de la climatisation ainsi que le grincement gênant de la porte de la salle de bain Lit un peu affaissé.

The location being a block off of the Ponte Vecchio Bridge is just spectacular, the breakfast was as good as at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room was small but very well appointed very nice bathroom. There was a roof garden on the fourth floor that was so nice to sit out at in the evenings. The staff in the breakfast room and at the registration counter were most helpful and very pleasant.

My room had a twin bed, but I knew that before I got there. It was very hot in Florence, almost triple digit, and the room air conditioner was just adequate. The bathroom had an odor.

Our 2nd time staying at this fabulous hotel. The location cannot be beat. It is close by to everything in Florence. The view out of our window of the Ponta Vechio is something that you could only get from this hotel. We could never stay anywhere else. It will always be our home in Florence.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location couldn't have been better—right in the heart of Florence and within walking distance of all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and we slept very well every night. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day and was always fresh when we returned. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and was a perfect way to start the day. Overall, this hotel made our stay in Florence even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Reaching the hotel by car means that you have to drive in restricted roads and be fined by the local Police. The hotel does not inform you upfront about this, although we have repeated our request to have a parking place

We received a loft with a small sitting area at the entrance and the bedroom and main bathroom on a floor up over a wooden staircase. While it was beautiful, it needed a lot of going up and down the stairs, which might be not easy for some people. Otherwise comfortable, had also a nice balcony. Breakfast was very good, with a lot of tasty choices and very friendly service. Nice large lobby. Very close to all attractions and shopping.

Great location; classy upmarket feel. Very professional and helpful staff everywhere including the reception, concierge and breakfast staff.

Even though the room felt nice and clean, our air-conditioner was struggling and at night, it felt like it was still too warm. The a/c was leaking on to the carpet and by the second night, even though the leak was fixed, we were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes I suspect coming through the a/c vents.

Firstly the hotel is in a fantastic location, the room was large and although a little dated it was very clean. The staff were all friendly, especially in the breakfast room where the service and choice was great. The bed was large and comfy and there was air con which we appreciated in the heat! We had 3 nights here and it was perfect for our city break.

Das Hotelpersonal hat mir vorab per WhatsApp die erforderlichen Hinweise bezüglich der ZTL gegeben. Die Übergabe des Fahrzeuges war völlig problemlos. Ein Page half beim Trasport des Gepäcks. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig. Insgesamt machte das Hotel einen sehr gepflegten und eleganten Eindruck. Dinge wie Stoffservietten und saubere Tischdecken findet man heutzutage leider nur noch selten. Im Zimmer wurden 3 Flaschen Mineralwasser kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt.

Ich hatte ein relativ kleines Einzelzimmer mit Blick auf einen Innenhof, dort verliefen verschiedenartige Leitungen und Rohre und ich habe davon abgesehen, das Fenster zu öffnen. Leider passte es nicht ganz ins Bild dieses schönen Hotels, dass man den Kaffee im Zimmer offensichtlich aus Pappbechern trinken musste.

Lovely, formally decorated hotel in a great location. Employees couldn’t be nicer! Beautiful buffet breakfast was the nicest of our entire trip.

The air conditioning could not cool the rooms enough. They offered to bring standing fans, which we appreciated and which helped some. The bathrooms, while beautiful, were a little funky - the tubs were a bit tall to get into in order to shower. The old fashioned keys with heavy weights made it necessary to leave the key at the front desk when heading out - but then had to wait - if the staff were busy- to collect the key when returning to room. Rooms were spacious except the single room, which was more like a closet with a bed that felt like an uncomfortable cot. Beds in other rooms were fine.
