The location was wonderful. The breakfast was great. We enjoyed the rooftop bar. Our room was large and comfortable. The staff was very nice.

Despite the tiny elevator that can hold a maximum of 2 person at a time, there were a LOT of stairs. There were half a flight of stairs to get to the elevator, half a flight of stairs to get to our room, a few steps up and down near the elevator, a random step here and a random step there. There were a lot more stairs than we expected. It was also a bit of a maze for us to find our rooms, so I do not recommend it for the specially challenged. My mother was unable to navigate the hotel on her own during our 48 hour stay.

Bellissimo Hotel, ottima posizione e ha una terrazza panoramica con una vista meravigliosa a 360° su Firenze. Faccio i complimenti allo staff, con attenzione particolare sopratutto a Luisa, Ismaele e Giorgia.

L' hôtel est idéalement placé tout en étant au calme. Le personnel est serviable et souriant. Les petits déjeuners sont bons et copieux.

Amazing location close to the centre and to Palazzo Pitti. Very spacious rooms.

The only thing I didn't like was that the bar normally closed at 11 and guests came 20 minutes before closing, and they were told that they couldn't be served.

Great location- loved being on this side of the bridge but it was so easy to get to the more touristy areas. Our room was great, we loved the little courtyard where our room was, the staff was lovely, and the rooftop bar was an added bonus. Felt Italian as well, which we loved.

The location is incredible, although parking, like anywhere else in Florence is complex. The hotel is very nice, incredible lobby and solid rooms.

Not the craziest breakfast I ever had, but I'm Spanish, for USA standards is fantastic. It might be worth strolling around for the money. Other than that perfect place to stay!

Everything worked well for us - fantastic location, close to amenities and the traditional tourist sites but also a little away from the true hustle and bustle. Wifi and aircon worked very well (I'd seen reports saying this might not be the case but it was excellent - and it was 40 degrees every day so necessary!)

Well appointed hotel with stunning reception area. Staff very welcoming. The hotel room was lovely and air con superb. Fully controllable. Only criticism at all was cleaning staff knocking at 9.30am to clean. Strange as they knew we were in - hotel asked for keys to be left there when out. Otherwise a wonderful hotel 🏨

The location was excellent. easy to walk to all of the sites, and a beautiful view, especially from the rooftop seating. The breakfast was good, the rooms were very comfortable, and the Airconditioning was excellent, it was very hot outside.

The location was great, so was the space in the room. It was a large room. I don't remember if there was no closet to hang things or since it was one night, I didn't look! But space was huge, it was quite an old building, but very well kept. They have a terrace on the roof with a beautiful view. The breakfast was very complete. And the coffee was real coffee, not with a button machine. It was 3 of us and we had 3 single beds. We all loved it! I arrived by car and do NOT suggest getting close to the hotel to drop off luggage or passengers. It's quite busy and narrow streets. So if you are not a very confident and experienced driver, just reach your parking garage and make it by foot or if the parking is too far and you have too much luggage, take a short cab ride! :)

Location is excellent. Staff was lovely. The Water fountain was very welcomed! Cute rooftop to enjoy a glass.

For £200 a night (we booked 5 months in advance) the room was extremely small (even for small Italian hotel standards), the WiFi does not work well, and the air conditioning struggled.

The ambiance of the hotel was perfect - it had an Old World elegance and charm with all the modern conveniences! The bed was super- firm but not too firm and the air conditioning was just right! The shower was divine- modern - spacious - and scrupulously clean! I loved the breakfast even though I was always rushing in and then running out for my first tour of the day. My last morning I could relax and enjoy a truly delicious start to my the day plus take full advantage of the ‘drop dead’ gorgeous roof top vista- worth every penny of the whole stay. The only drawback was the up and down stairs between the elevators. But, once you got the routine down it was not an issue. Sort of like a party game to find your way in the maze of hallways-definitely a unique not your boring chain hotel. And the service was warm, friendly and genuine. As you can tell I loved my 4 night stay.

I had no dislikes. It was just what I had hoped to find -a hotel with a truly Florentine personality!

The location and breakfast were wonderful. The view from the rooftop was beautiful and the breakfast was good. We ate up there each day . The room we stayed in for our last night had a 14th century fresco on our ceiling. The ancient building is full of wonderful architecture and amazement.

The first room we were in for 3 nights was unclean. Even though the building is very old it can still be clean. The light switches and door frames were all smudged and dirty. There was food or throw up splattered along the baseboard that hadn't been cleaned. I complained and they took care of it but that made for an uncomfortable stay.

Ylhäällä on upea terassi, jolta näkee hienosti kaupungin sydämen ja kauniit puistot. Sijainti on mainio: Aivan kivenheiton päässä Arno-joesta, kaupungin sykkivästä sydämestä ja toisaalta lähellä suurta puistoa. On monta mahdollisuutta ja tekemistä riittää. Kannattaa huomata, että La Scaletta on nimensä veroinen, on hieman sokkeloinen ja talossa on paljon portaita. Hissi toimi kuitenkin hyvin ja oikeastaan vain lisäsi charmia tässä kauniissa vanhassa talossa. Jo sisääntulo on vaikuttava kauniine seinä- ja kattomaalauksineen. Kaipaamme jo seuraavaa matkaa tänne!

Nämä ovat vain pieniä asioita, eivät oikeastaan haitanneet: Kylpyhuoneessa (sviitti nro 109) saisi olla naulakoita vaatteille. Minibaari saisi olla olohuoneessa, eikä makuuhuoneessa. Olohuoneessa saisi olla myös olla roskakori. Mutta molemmat huoneemme olivat erittäin siistejä, joten kaikki oikeastaan ok.

Property was well located just steps from the beautiful bridges on the river, allowing you not to have to stay in the core of the city. The staff was very accommodating, and the room was exceptionally clean and very well maintained and decorated.

Hotel is not well kept. And having a do not disturb on the door is not respected . We were taking a nap after a long day of excursions and suddenly the door got open with no advice from the housekeeper.

We stayed with our family of five, two teens and an 11 year old - it was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better. Having been to Florence a few times we liked being on the other side of the Arno. Reception service was A+ they helped us find dinner spot the first night. The rooftop bar is also worth the stay, amazing views. The only negative was the tiny elevator and tons of stairs. Rooms were really nice - beautifully decorated. Bathrooms big enough and decent shower. Coffee in the room was nice. Location - if you stay, hit Gino’s bakery a block away and dinner in Santo Spirito area was awesome. Best gelato is at Sbrino. Only get the gelato from places with it in covered metal bins. So good.

I booked non refundable for 3 nights. On day 1 of arrival, I advised reception that I will check out a day early due to a national strike on day 3 that will cause disruption to my travel plans. They refused to refund me the last night.

The location of the hotel could not be better - easy walk across the Ponte Vecchio and into main part of the city. Just far enough from the crowd on the bridge but very close to the river. Florence is beautiful and so interesting. Street artists (painters) along the routes - and there are players in squares and piazzas every evening from folk singers to violinists to opera singers entertaining diners in many of the cafe/bars and restaurants all over town. Far better than Rome and yes I would go again for sure.

Only having three days there - not long enough. But we did spend the rest of the holiday with family members from other parts of the world in an old Italian farmhouse/villa in the Val D’Orcia (five bedrooms and swimming pool). So it was a two-part trip that ended in Florence. Did not take the hire car into Florence as the traffic/parking is a bit mad - dropped that off at the airport and took the T2 Tram right into the centre (25 mins and only a few euros). Very short taxi ride to the hotel from the tram stop at Santa Maria Novella station.

Would recommend this hotel. It is in a great location near some major points of interest including the Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, and a quick walk to the Uffizi museum. The room was very spacious with temperature control. If you're coming in late spring and summer, there will be mosquitos. But, that’s just the nature of the area and not something the hotel can control. The hotel does provide a plug in mosquito repellant. If there's not already on in your room, you can ask for one. The hotel front desk staff, particularly Emmanuel, were kind and helpful. The folks handling the breakfast buffet were also friendly and helpful. The hotel also has a rooftop bar with panoramic views.

We had a deluxe room which was quite large with a couch and large bathroom. Crisp fresh sheets. Very clean. Top 5 best hotel showers ever. Hot water and nice strong spray. Great location but there are lots of stairs. Breakfast had excellent coffee and a good selection but they do stop serving at 10 am. I think they should consider extending it to 10:30. We loved it and would definitely stay here again.

Die Lage und der Ausblick von der Dachterasse. An der Rezeption ist das Personal sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und bemüht. Und die Sauberkeit ist lobend zu erwähnen.

Das Zimmer entspricht nicht einem 4-Sterne Standard. Es hat im Zimmer kontinuierlich nach Abwasser oder Dämpfen aus einer Kanalisation gerochen. Das ist bestimmt auch der Grund, warum wir im Zimmer schon einen Dufterfrischer gefunden haben, der aber auch nicht besser roch. Das Reinigungspersonal und das Servicepersonal beim Frühstück bringen kein Lächeln über die Lippen, selbst nach einem Trinkgeld nicht. Für das Geld würden wir nicjt nochmal buchen.

Certaines photos indiquent un jacuzzi/spa, il ne nous a jamais indiqué et je pense qu’il est lié à une suite. Nous aurions aimé être au courant.

Läget var oslagbart och en fantastisk takterrass. Personalen var mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående.

Badrummet hade behövt renoveras, det kändes gammalt.

Die Bilder entsprechen nicht den Gegebenheiten. Das Hotel, insbesondere der Rezeptionsbereich, der miefige Zeppich im Treppenhaus und die Frühstückszone wirken alt, abgenutzt und runtergekommen. Dies war sehr enttäuschend und entspricht eindeutig nicht einem 4Sterne-Niveau.
