Comfy beds, plenty of parking & good breakfast
I thinknit was in 102, I think it was. Very loud, lots of odd sounds all night that kept me awake. Out side of that it was good.
Very expensive for such an old building
Location
Firm bed
Nice breakfast, decent room and pool , nice staff
From the moment we walked into the lobby, the front desk staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room itself was clean, well-maintained, and had great amenities like a strong Wi-Fi connection, a mini-fridge, and a microwave.
Rooms were musty smelling and dirty. Staff were not friendly. Poop towels were hand towels and had to be left at the pool. Front desk staff watched us wait at the desk while they smoked outside the from door. Beds were horribly uncomfortable
Breakfast was good, lots of parking
Breakfast was fine
-ein typisches, gesichtsloses Motel, aber geeignet für eine Nacht.
The pool wasn’t available to use and we were told that it would be by the morning so we did stay in promise it would be but sadly it wasn’t my kids were pretty disappointed
Lots of fruit flies all over the room and washroom, bath tub and toilet bowl clogged. Staff are rude No signs or advice that they cleaning the pool at 12nn and they let me and my 4years old wait in the lobby for 15mins before someone (frontdesk) informed me.
Was a really nice clean hotel and very friendly staff
Elevator is slow
The beds were awful. There was a stain on my pillow case and hair. The room otherwise seemed ok for cleanliness. But for the cost I was underwhelmed.
It was clean and quiet.
Location to the hockey arena.
Toilets kept plugging in multiple of our team’s rooms. No hot tube. Beds not very comfortable. Expensive for what you got.
Hotel is very dated and worn down.
didnt use either
The staff were incredibly kind. Both the check in and out went well. The hotel smelled amazingly clean, which was comforting.
Unfortunately the breakfast was not very good. The orange juice wasn't working.
The property was clean and safe. We had rented the king size room with the hot tub. The main door bolt did not close. The hairdryer did not work. We had to keep asking for extra towels and pillows and unfortunately, when I booked, they did not inform us, the pool was closed.
Was a ok stay unfortunately the pool was down for renovations which was not told about upon booking apparently in fine print. If a discount was offered would have made it a better stay. 250 a night and no pool not worth it.
The breakfast was mediocre, those breakfast sandwiches that they put together. We’re not that great. I took one bite of mine and threw it in the garbage. Then I had a bowl of cereal and a glass of apple juice.
Somebody at 4 o’clock in the morning decided it would be really good to drag something steel across the pavement outside and woke me up
Ease of access
I really think that hotels need to up their attention to fitness rooms. It’s like they just buy a bunch of used, outdated equipment to check a box. As a person who incorporates fitness in my daily life, it’s disappointing to see the effort put forth on this.
Friendly helpful staff
Great that it's right next to McDonalds. Bedroom light was more of a strobe light and unfortunately the pool was closed for renovations. Otherwise not bad.
It was very old and dated.
Everything was fine I enjoyed my stay
Nice room
Good property to stay in.
Rooms are dated and filthy, mold on roofs, broken doors, bad smells. For 218.99 you would think it would be nice
.
The hotel was great. I guess the complaint I would have was iur room was booked in the middle of a teenage sport team. They were loud, doors left open and beeping constantly, nicely asked them and front desk but nothing was done.
Property is way worn out
Loved the spa bath and room
Nothing
Overpriced, dirty, disgusting
The staff was kind and helpful, but there weren’t enough of them, and better training and maintenance are needed. The lone front desk attendant seemed overwhelmed, handling multiple tasks at once. The room was also untidy, with crumbs and hair in the bedding and only three pillows for a room meant for four. Additionally, the hot tub wasn’t working, and the breakfast—both in terms of quality and freshness—was disappointing. Overall, it felt like the hotel was poorly managed.
Place was clean and had all the amenities. However we decided to stay with our daughter because of the pool and waterslide. Pool was ice cold, waterslide not functioning and dark and creepy as 8 out of the 10 lights in pool area are burnt out. People were friendly and rooms were clean.
Good stay
Was there for the night, I did not try the breakfast or other meals. good supply of hot water
It was fine.
The Super 8 in Slave Lake is an o.k. establishment with a few quirks. The breakfast is definitely not something to write home about, it's a pretty standard continental but I would put it on the lower end of quality and selection. The Gym was a bit odd - you had to go to the front desk to get a specific access card for it and sign in/out of it. Not sure what the story is behind that. Outside of that had mid-level equipment (Bike, Elliptical, Tread) and a bench. Missing lots of weights in their rack. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, the facility is just a bit shabby.
Clean rooms and helpful staff
Breakfast was very good. Staff -excellent
Beds could be more comfortable
It was a good option for spending the night.
Smelled disgusting lobby and room. Beds are soft and rugs stink in rooms I won’t be back . They say they’re changing the rugs but I am not so sure that will help. It’s dark and dingy and pretty much a working man’s place to stay . Nothing classy about it
Nice spot, close to main street, and the box stores. A touch outdated here and there, continental breakfast was passable. Pool looked small but at least they have one. Right next to McDees. Pretty much a Super 8:) but clean, friendly and bright.:) comfy bed, clean bathroom. No desk but I just slid the table over, worked great.:)
Loved the location of the hotel.
The other guests were extremely loud at inappropriate times and the staff did nothing about it when I complained.
Enjoyed my stay all above was good. The environment and the staff were amazing! The rooms were such a comfortable stay!
The staff , they were friendly
Nothing really
The rooms would benefit from a DEEP cleaning (walls & carpets). Small Renos would go along way; paint and new flooring. The grout & caulking in the bathrooms should be redone, dirty and cracked; a musty smell.
The 1 staff member was friendly
No hot breakfast was offered not even cereal or toast and no room service /stay over service wasn’t told until after we paid and checked in no discount or upgrade offered as a courtesy for the inconvenience
We liked the alarm on the room door. It let us know when the door wasn’t fully latched or when our kids were trying to escape.
We went to that hotel specifically for the pool. However it was very cold. Our baby was shivering the whole time so I had to take her upstairs and run her a warm bath too get her to stop shivering. It was not as enjoyable as we had hoped. The hotel itself was also very cold until we turned the heat on in our room.
The rooms were clean and beds were comfy.
The front desk staff seemed annoyed if you asked them anything and seemed quite grumpy.
Safe and clean
Old hotel in need of many updates. Toilet did not flush, TV did not work. There was food on the walls that just had not been cleaned. The kids loved the pool and the bed was comfortable. Took a long time for checkin. There was no staff present for approx 10 mins. Would not stay here again.
It was ok. Check in and check out were good. Pleasant staff. I mean, it's not a five star so I was not disappointed in any way other than the the lack of a form pillow. I didn't ask for another one so maybe they would have had one for me. Cleaning staff was friendly and breakfast was ok too. It was a little pricy in my opinion but I guess everything is these days.
Such Wonderful friendly, helpful, professional, accommodating staff! SUPER clean suite - very well stocked!! Breakfast was absolutely delicious! Pool was so clean and fun!! I will be back. Only point of improvement I would like to suggest: - we were in ground level suite and it would have been nice to have an additional SHEER curtain to be able to let in the sunshine and retain our privacy - instead of us keeping black out curtains closed and using artificial light.
Check into the hotel. The hotel did not look clean. The staff was good to deal With. Went up to my room and there were dirty towels in the floor. Went back down and there was only one other room available. check into the second room and under the sink on the floor was full of hair. very dirty
Nothing special about this hotel. Very average. Wouldn’t stay again. Gym was very poor.
Right Next to McDonald’s for morning coffee
Kids loved the waterside. Great place to stay!
The room was ok, there was a nasty spill that had dried in the fridge and was left. The breakfast was terrible. The saving grace for this place was the pool and the front desk lady both were great
The furniture in the room was disgustingly dirty .. the couch and chair both had numerous stains. The breakfast included was lousy .. very little choices and the pancakes were close to not edible. I stayed one night only because I could find other accommodations.
Property showing some wear.

6.8/10Mixed: rooms offer amenities like strong Wi‑Fi, mini-fridge and microwave, but multiple guests reported firm/awful beds, stains and hair.
