The hotel is very dated. stuck in the 90's. The room was dirty and had a unpleasant smell when disturbed. The bathrooms were not cleaned well at all. Hotel main entrance and elevator dirty. Air conditioner did not work

The plastic forks at breakfast were curved and bendy in a way that made them awkward to use. Metal utensils would have been better both for ease of eating and for reducing plastic waste.

The only issue was the AC that was right next to the bed, so very cold for your legs,poor architectural design. I would stay here again.

Reviewed Dec 25, 2024Hair dryer shocked me when using it. Luckily staff brought another one. Utinsils are plastic and plates small paper. Its hard to enjoy a breakfast like that. Beds felt like you were rolling towards the middle and duvet kept getting out off the cover. :( Upside.....Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Reviewed Oct 15, 2024We called to book an stay in Florida but were booked at Slave Lake Canada we tried to cancel but we were told we had to pay for one nights stay we never even left Florida or stayed a single night at the hotel. This is a total fraudulent rip off of two seventy year old customers, and should be illegal I will check with the Attorney Generals office. We were trying to to get out of the path of the hurricane not drive to Canada

Reviewed Sep 18, 2024For whatever reason, hotels in Slave Lake are incredibly expensive. The price I paid for my room created very high expectations. For the most part these expectations were met.
I brought my high level of expectations to the breakfast room. The food was very good, but I was surprised the only meat on offer was sausages. My real complaint, however was having to eat my breakfast on a paper plate with plastic utensils. Disposable plates and utensils are out of character for the type of hotel this establishment aspires to be.

We had a suite with fridge and microwave and no paper towels. I had to ask for coffee pods to be left for the mornings. Overall not a great stay and I will NEVER stay at a holiday inn and suites
