The atmosphere of the hotel was very nice with interesting decor. The room was neat, bed very comfortable and just big enough for two people. The midtown location was great with Grand Central, Bryant Park and theater district nearby. Lots of great restaurants and eateries and museums within walking distance and easy access to public transportation. Also, it was nice to have really good coffee (and tea) provided/available all day.

The shower tub was slow to drain. No other complaints.

This is my second stay at the Renwick, and I highly recommend this place 100%! The rooms are great, and the location is incredibly convenient. It’s just a few steps from Grand Central, while still being far enough away from all the noise and craziness of the Times Square area. The service is exceptional. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very attentive. I especially want to give a shoutout to Suresh for taking care of our luggage and even letting us borrow a kettle to heat up some water. That kind of service really makes a difference! If you’re looking for a great place to stay in New York City, this is it. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Location was very accessible and easy to find. The rooms were clean and accommodating. The staff was very helpful as well. All throughout from the front desk staff to the hotel cleaning staff. Most especially Surresh, made quite the first impression when we first got to the hotel. He was very friendly, helpful and all around a great person. He made our day when we first got to New York. Overall it was a pleasant stay here at Renwick.

We stayed at The Renwick Hotel for four nights at the end of July 2026 to celebrate a special birthday, and I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations in every way. The hotel is a stunning historic property, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's old-fashioned. The Renwick has beautifully preserved its character while seamlessly incorporating everything you'd expect from a modern city hotel. The décor throughout is stylish and elegant, celebrating the building's heritage while feeling fresh and contemporary. Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable, with a huge bed that was perfect after long days exploring Manhattan. The bathroom was sleek, modern, and finished to a very high standard and a big plus for me, spotlessly clean. Every member of staff we encountered was welcoming, friendly, fun but professional and genuinely helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Nothing seemed too much trouble. A special mention must go to the restaurant and bar. The cocktails are fantastic, offering creative twists on classic favourites. The atmosphere is wonderful, evoking the glamour and intrigue of a bygone era, while still feeling thoroughly modern and vibrant, a very cool place to hang out! The location couldn't be better. Situated on a peaceful street in Midtown Manhattan, it offers the best of both worlds. Turn right at the end of the road and Grand Central Station comes into view, putting you within easy reach of everything New York has to offer, while still providing a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle. We had the most amazing trip to New York, and The Renwick played a big part in that. When we return, and we absolutely will, there is no question where we'll be staying. Highly recommended. 🌟🗽🍸🏨

Wonderful location, stayed in the suite, air conditioned and clean, close to all the main attractions and commutable everywhere. Staff were attentive and helpful at all times. Thanks especially to Suresh. Thoroughly recommend booking your trip here if you want to stay in central Manhattan area.

This hotel is not too big so you can feel at home. The staff is very kind and helpful in particular the man at the reception (speaking French language!) and Suvesh who was there for us when we had to leave the hotel. The room was large and very well decorated. It is in Grand Central area; not to far from Times Square and in a quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend this hotel and I will come here next time in Manhattan!

The housekeeper didn’t change my towels when cleaning the room so I had to request them at front desk.

What a fab hotel! We loved the room and the breakfast. The hotel had complimentary tea/coffee for guests the entire morning. The staff was very friendly. We were right next to Grand Central and just ten minutes from Times Square. I would definitely stay here again.

The location. So close to Times Square, Grand Central Station, Empire State, Summit One just to name a few…. Also you receive a free shot voucher at the bar. Staff were exceptional. Special shot out to Judy who made our requests and stay more enjoyable.

Great location — you can easily walk to all the main attractions in New York. We had a beautiful view of the Empire State Building from our window. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Great location conveniently located near Grand Central. The size of the rooms were also decent for New York too!

The cleanliness was not up to standard in my opinion. The room was dusty and needed a really good clean. The bathrooms also could do with an update. For what you pay, and it being a 4 star hotel, I would expect more.

Great experience after staying in The Renwick hotel for three weeks. Great location a minutes walk from Grand Central, plus very good rooms with excellent comfortable beds. But what really stands out is the atmosphere at the hotel. It is great, as every staff member really addresses the guests as a family members, which can be seen rarely. Need to mention Suresh at the front gate, and Andrew from the breakfast room, who both perform exceptionally. Hotel is a fair value for the money though, as everything in New York seems to be overpriced. Overall: very pleasant stay, would definitely come back. Recommend.

We are very happy with choosing The Renwick for our stay in NYC! The room is spacious and clean, and the beds are so comfortable. The location of the hotel is really good - you’re just a short walk away from all the sights. The staff here is also very friendly and service oriented! And Suresh is so helpful and nice to us, always giving a helping hand and opening the doors with a smile. We definitely recommend The Renwick!

L’équipe a été à l’écoute de nos recommandations en nous attribuant la chambre au 17eme étage avec vu sur l’Empire State Building à l’occasion de notre 10ème anniversaire de mariage. (Chambre spacieuse pour New York). La chambre était propre et faites tous les jours. Le personnel agréable et souriant. Toujours quelqu’un pour nous ouvrir la porte ou nous aider à porter la poussette. Après une coupure d’eau en pleine nuit à cause de travaux ponctuel dans la rue, il nous a été proposé une autre chambre pour pouvoir prendre une douche.

RAS. Une suggestion : Prévoir un pot dans la salle de bain pour pouvoir mettre les brosses à dents.

This is my second time visiting the city and staying at The Renwick. My first trip I was impressed by the staff the area and the stylish interior. I am happy to say once again I am left impressed, while there are quite a few changes the heart of The Renwick has not changed which is the staff!! I received the warmest welcome from Jasmine who I must thank for also adding Bryant park to my itinerary Another thanks to the house keepers who always kept the room clean. If you are visiting the city this is the place to stay!

Location ideal. Spotless clean. Booked, prepaid a Suite for the 4th of July weekend. At check-in, was told by front desk clerk Suite not available. He then called someone in management who told me I will received a 30% adjustment of payment done that will be transferred to original form of payment (PayPal through Booking.com). I accepted the downgrade and went to room 1409. Stay uneventful but the size of Tuna Tartare dish at the bar. I was given a knife and fork but actual plate was 4 tiny crackers with minuscule tuna portions on top, easily eaten in one bite, no need to touch utensils. Spain's tapas are main course dishes in comparison. I gave the hotel a Discover card for incidentals. Yet, the adjustment in room price was done BUT difference transferred to a Mastercard which IS NOT MINE, as shown in copy of room account I requested at check out. I contacted the hotel by email with a detailed explanation but no one bothered to even acknowledge receiving it. The 30% adjustment as calculated by hotel is US$ 152.21. Again, I was promised a refund but adjustment monies went to neither PayPal or Discover, the only forms of payment I used at The Renwick. Who owns that Mastercard ending in 8979 is a mistery to me. In sum, I was cheated out of the booked Suite and the adjustment in price. Double whammy. Even though the amount of money is small, what matters is the principle. I was given a cheaper room instead of what I paid for, I am entitled as promised to get a refund. So be aware if a similar scenario arises when visiting The Renwick. A shame, weekend in NYC was otherwise amazing.

The Airconditioning was very weak. The first night we checked in had to change the room at 1AM in morning as could not sleep due to poor airconditioning. The new room had better but still inadequate air -conditioning. And these were the FIFA days when the heat wave was not there. The bedroom and washroom are very limited size - no frills, most basic. There is a large living room area that is dimly lit and dingy. So overall one sees the size of room at 500+ sq ft, huge by NY standards but bedroom and washroom small. It is a no frills place, old, painted new. BTW there was a coffee maker in room but they refused to provide tea bags.

The hotel looks a lot nicer in the photos. In reality, it seems tired, the interior, the dirty windows, the loud AC units, the internet repeatedly didn't connect. My room (3rd floor) had a loud set of compressor units right outside the window that screeched through the night. I know, New York New York. Can't expect too much. I've lived here for 17 years. But still. I wanted to like it - but, sorry, won't come again.

The hotel does offer free coffee in the lobby every morning. The bar /restaurant is very characterful, and every night it was busy. We did eat twice, in the restaurant, and the food was very good. Location is excellent, we are 1 minute walk from Grand Central Station, 4-5 mins walk from Bryant park and NYC library, 10-15 mins walk from Macy’s and Empire State Building, and around 20-30 mins from Plaza hotel/ Trump tower/ Central Park, but this depends on traffic and number of people walking. There are plenty of bars / restaurants nearby, and near Bryant park, there are some lovely cafe’s. The hotel road is quiet.

Our room, whilst big and roomy, lacked a wardrobe and storage, and the bathroom lacked sufficient facilities to dry/ hand wet towels. The shower temperature was also very difficult to control, and we had to ask for sufficient towels for the room on three occasions. The carpet in the room looked very worn.

Had an amazing stay at The Renwick Hotel for my birthday. I travel to New York often and this is by far the best hotel experience I've had in NY! Jasmine and Jose went above and beyond to make sure the staff was excellent. Because of Jasmine and Jose I will pick The Renwick hotel for all NYC trips, business or leisure. There is also a great bar attached to the hotel with amazing staff as well. Bo at the bar made amazing drinks. Look forward to returning very soon!

Location was amazing! Stones throw away from the grand central station! We got an upgrade from booking.com to gallery king suite - the room was very spacious! The checkout was easy - deposit was refunded quickly and bags held while we still went around before our flight. Also appreciate that since our flight got cancelled, we had to keep the bags a few hours longer and it was accommodated well too!

I had booked a gallery king suite and requested to be allocated a higher floor towards the back. We reached around 14:00 and the welcome was less than warm. No smiles no hello, just your room is not yet ready. Come at 16:00 and it “might” be ready then. The luggage was held by a nice gentlemen while we went about exploring the city. When we were back, we were given a room on 7th and promised that the next day another room on higher floor is getting vacated and we will be moved then. Anyways, when we got in the room, it was really hot. We were sweating in just 2 mins. When I informed them, they promptly changed my room to another one on the same floor. The Ac was working there so that was good. But it was next to probably a boiler “/maintenance room and it constantly made noise - more so prominent during the night. Anyways I thought it was for just one night as we were promised to move upstairs the next day. Next morning , I was locked out of the room as none of the keys given for new room worked and I had to spend another 30 mins trying to get in. Also I was informed that my room in system was still showing as the old room and there was no room on the higher floor available that day too. Had to stay in the same room with the noise.

The location was SPECTACULAR! Couldn’t find a better centralized spot. Great restaurants and literally 2 blocks from grand central station. Also liked that it had character and wasn’t a generic “Hyatt” however that came with trade offs.

The facilities were fairly lacking. The gym was a joke… don’t count on working out unless you just want a treadmill. The daily cleaning of the rooms was VERY substandard. The floors always looked dirty, towels/toiletries were NOT replaced daily even though they were clearly soiled (on the floor) or used. The waters were not replaced daily either. Furthermore the coffee had not creamer or sugar and the tvs weren’t smart so don’t count on streaming. Another big pain point was the restaurant/bar. While it’s great to have it attached the menu is VERY limited and having stayed there a week, eating the exact same “2 eggs and 2bacon” every day got tired fast. There also was constant confusion between it and the hotel.(I guess they are totally separate?) I was there in a party of 14 and some people had prepaid breakfast and others didn’t and no one ever could keep track of that, so I’m about 100% sure we overpaid for breakfast that had already been prepaid. When this was discussed at the front desk, the lady working there was very indignant. Also I think the photos slightly oversell what you get. Take all the pics with a grain of salt.

We stayed at the Renwick for the first time on three seperate times in two weeks in June/Jily, using it as our NYC base as we travelled to other parts of the USA. We had initially booked a different hotel for our third stay in the city but cancelled to book in the Renwick after our first two stays, as we were so impressed. I cannot say enough good things about it, location is perfect for both exploring Manhattan and the wider city, but also access to Grand Central which is literally 5 minutes walk, which we used to travel further afield. The room was significantly larger than most we've stayed in in NYC, really well appointed and very clean. The jewels in the Renwick's crown though, are it's staff (although I'd prefer to refer to them as hosts as they were so hospitable). Peter, Jasmine, Judy on reception were wonderful and others whose names escape me, were friendly, welcoming, super helpful, considerate, warm and nothing was too much trouble. The housekeeping staff, the concierge staff, were all friendly and helpful always greeting us warmly as we passed in corridors - small gestures but the kind that set this hotel apart from others in a big city like NY. We visit NYC every year and going forward, the Renwick will be our go to favourite here - see you again in 2027!

We went on a cruise out of the Manhattan Pier and stayed a few days extra to sight see. Jasmine was great, we were here before check in time and needed a late (3pm late which is hard to find) check out. They were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond. Since it is my husband’s first time in NY she made sure to tell him he could see the Empire State Building from our balcony, Our bags were handled from the Uber to the room, I had to lift nothing. The room is extremely clean and the bed is comfy, it feels like home. Thank you Jasmine for treating us like family and ensuring we can do as much as we can in little time.

I recently stayed at Renwick Hotel and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff were consistently courteous, welcoming, and quick to help with anything I needed, which made the stay feel very comfortable and stress-free. The hotel was also very clean and well maintained, with attention to detail throughout the rooms and common areas. Everything felt orderly and cared for, which added to the overall comfort of the stay. One of the best parts is the location, it’s close to Grand Central Terminal and within easy reach of the Theatre District, making it very convenient for getting around the city, commuting, or catching a show. Overall, it was a great stay and I would absolutely come back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with excellent staff in a prime Manhattan location.

We enjoyed our stay at The Renwick and found it to be a great location for exploring New York City. The hotel was conveniently located near Grand Central Terminal, making it easy to get around the city. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a unique character and boutique feel that sets it apart from larger chain hotels. We appreciated having a comfortable place to return to after long days of sightseeing.

It is NYC and hotel rooms are small. The elevator area is tiny. Getting large pieces of luggage into the hall from the elevator or to the elevator was a bit tricky to navigate. Our door was accidentally left open by housekeeping. Things happen, but it left me feeling a little uncomfortable when we would leave our hotel room for the day.

Hello Im John. I recently enjoyed a wonderful week at the Renwick with my family. The experience was truly exceptional. We sincerely appreciated the early check-in option, especially since we arrived on a red-eye flight. We also valued the coffee served until 1pm at the restaurant—this was definitely a highlight. A special thank you to Jasmine—she is unquestionably a GEM. She was exceptionally attentive, helpful, courteous, and genuinely kind both inside and out. I definitely plan to come back. My thanks to all the staff for their warm welcomes. Leaving New York was a bit sad for my family and me.
