Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Hotel was great and very comfortable with an old swiss chalet feel, great location just a short walk to the train station and views of the mountains, staff were very friendly and helped however they could. Breakfast was decent. Room was spacious and best of all had a view of the Matterhorn! Bathroom was huge with a bath tub and shower, plenty of room.
The price for the room if high but that is Switzerland I guess. Other than that nothing!

Unacceptable and biased service. We simply asked for hot water to make tea, but the staff mistakenly assumed we were planning to cook food in our room. Their attitude was highly inappropriate and unwelcoming.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Locatie middenin de hoofdstraat en de drukte. Op loopafstand van het station en het bruggetje om de Matterhorn te zien. Een ruime kamer met balkon. Ruime badkamer met bad en aparte douche. Het ontbijt was ok en je kon de dag goed starten. De prijs was last minute behoorlijk gedaald (EUR 100) dus geboekt. Je bagage kon je onbeheerd achter het gordijn laten in het restaurant.
Vieze vlekken op de bank in de slaapkamer. Bij het ontbijt wilde mn moeder 1 normaal sneetje mee voor onderweg maar dat mocht niet. Eerdere check-in niet mogelijk want receptie gaat pas om 15 uur open

Noise isolation is not ideal. Felt shortage of air inside as it was rather warm and we could not open a window fully (the terrace was not private). A kettle for tea/coffee machine would be expected available inside rooms.

restaurant kitchen noise until 22:00, kept me up. Also bathroom was strange with a window into the bathroom from the bedroom. Also the only window was a door onto a shared patio area with 3 other rooms, possible security issue.

Reviewed Aug 28, 20263 mins walk from the train station, we booked 2 rooms and both were excellent. Comfy beds, black out curtains and a good shower. Restaurant was very good for both dinner and breakfast, catering for our gluten free needs. Spa was perfect after a day of hiking. Euro plug sockets in the rooms a great touch as well forgot our Swiss adapters. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. View of the Matterhorn peak from our balcony an unexpected surprise!
