Comfortable bed, quiet room, great location, nice leisure centre with good sauna and steam room, pleasant staff and room service.

Decor a bit dated, especially bathroom door.

Velmi prostorný pokoj a pohodlná postel. Skvělá lokalita.

U snídaně nám chyběly zelenina, uzeniny, šunky… a sýry (byl k dispozici jen měkký cheddar). Ale z ostatních kategorií byl velký výběr.

Needs a little re-fresh, paint touching up etc. Room clean was a little sad, bins not emptied, towels not changed, it didn’t effect our stay however

La posizione è ottima vicinissima al centro e davanti ad un parcheggio multipiano molto comodo. La stanza era grande MA rifinita male (muri scrostati e macchiati di umido, battiscopa scheggiati, intonaci rovinati), non certo degna di un 4 stelle.

Il bagno era ORRIBILE! Avevo prenotato una camera classic e mi è stata data una camera con bagno disabili (che tra l'altro non rispettava neanche le norme sulle barriere architettoniche: pulsante wc difficilmente accessibile, lavandino piccolo e con sifone sottostante che limita l'avvicinamento, rubinetteria non idonea) scomodissimo: aveva un lavandino piccolissimo circa 30x20 cm, montato a circa 70cm da terra, non ci si poteva lavare la faccia o i denti senza allagare il bagno... io soffro di mal di schiena e per poter arrivare all'acqua mi dovevo totalmente inchinare, figuratevi cosa significava per me! Non c'era un posto dove appoggiare il beauty case quindi bisognava tenere tutto in camera sulla scrivania e poi portarsi le singole cose in bagno. Anche il phon era scomodo, di quel tipo dove devi continuare a premere il pulsante per farlo funzionare. Inoltre, poichè non c'era il box doccia facendosi la doccia si allagava il bagno. Ciliegina sulla torta: fuori c'erano 15° ma dentro la stanza si moriva dal caldo, abbiamo quindi aperto la finestra ma solo parzialmente perchè, ovviamente, era bloccata. Durante la notte con il piumone si moriva dal caldo (era un piumone invernale ma con quelle temperature è eccessivo) e senza piumone c'era freddo.. non abbiamo dormito niente. Ho speso 329€ per una stanza che a mala pena nel valeva 80€! Ho chiesto di cambiare camera ma mi è stato detto che non ce n'era una libera. Ciò che critico fortemente è che se un hotel vende una camera così lo dovrebbe specificare, l'utente ha il diritto di scegliere se accettarla o meno e in ogni caso dovrebbe farla pagare di meno perchè non vale di certo 329€! Non sono andata in un b&b e ho scelto un hotel 4 stelle perchè volevo stare comoda in un ambiente elegante. Invece sono stata SCOMODA in un ambiente brutto e ho anche speso tanto! Sono veramente SCONTENTA!!!! Lo sconsiglio a chiunque!!!

We stayed for 4 nights yet the beds were not made on 2 occasions, and cups not replaced Breakfast was okay BUT not everyone wants a full cooked breakfast yet there were no cold alternatives. A hotel of this rating should have some cold meats/cheeses etc

The location was very good. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was also good with a variety of options . The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Staff were very friendly and accomodating especially when asked if it was possible to have breakfast a little earlier than advertised due to young children waking early.

Beautiful stay at the ormonde hotel for our anniversary on 22nd August. We booked 3 rooms all together and all of our rooms were spotless, well presented and had everything we needed. The hotel staff are so lovely, from housekeeping to breakfast to dinner all the staff are very welcoming and professional. We loved our stay. Thank you all at the Ormonde. Our 2nd time, and we will return.

Very poor for the price , room looks very dated , no air con windows opened onto the air conditioning units , coupled with the bass from music made for a poor night sleep. Shower in a bath with hand rail made it very tight. Breakfast poor have to queue to be served by staff for any hot food (though it was cold) either allow access to the buffet or do table service. Location is central but for the price very disappointing 2/3 stars at most

Location is excellent. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Bed very comfortable.

This hotel has great potential but simple fixes let it down. Bathroom fittings need to be replaced or descaled. Small facilities items which could be fixed easily and inexpensively are not done. Cleaning is not thorough enough, stains on carpet, dust around some fixtures. Towels are old and should be replaced. Service staff need more training. Not a 4 star hotel in my opinion but could be with some changes.

Noise level from nightclub

We arrived to the hotel around 11am we understand check-in is 4pm however no effort was made to try have us check-in early as we only got out room 16:05 after reception had to phone housekeeping to first see if our room was ready. The lady behind reception doing the late shift was quite rude and not friendly Lunch in the lobby area was good only downfall is no one was able to make cocktails until 5pm or they didnt have the ingredients to make the cocktail The room was very spacious and very modern only downfall a few stains on the walls and carpets My biggest issue is we have a small one with us and was woken up to overly loud music and people screaming at 10:30pm and this lastest till about 2am. Apon ringing reception she was very rude and saying o you on the third floor the music in the basement you shouldn't hear it. No apology nothing. The noise level of the music and the people were fluctuating so no sleep until after 2am Breakfast was was okay powered scrambled eggs and sour nautal youghurt. The upside to breakfast is we enjoyed the self service and most of all the pancake machine. We enjoyed our time in Kilkenny but we wouldn't rush back to this hotel

We had a lovely stay. Food and service was excellent, all the staff incredible friendly, professional and attentive. Special mention to Mags at breakfast. She was a star! Would love to stay again.

Sehr schöne zentrale Lage und parken direkt gegenüber möglich.

Bäder nicht sehr sauber und auch der Pool/Changing Rooms waren nicht sehr sauber. Sehr beschränkte Service-Zeiten in der Bar bzw Restaurant nicht angemessen für ein solches Haus mit dem Anspruch und Preis.

Only the location . Nothing else is is good about the property

No air conditioning . Le outdated furniture and carpeting . Bathroom sink does not drain . Old bathtub and the caulking had fungus . Cracked and chipped bathtub . Would never stay here ! And they charge an arm and a leg for the horrible experience

Great location! Very central with and easy parking solution: ideal to explore the town on foot. Comfortable room and beds, practical for a family of four. The breakfast was lovely. And there was a laundry service too.

Located in middle of the city. Staff were very good. Access to leisure centre.

Room was not clean and bathroom in need of attention. Thick layer of heavy grey/white dust on shelves, in mugs and on kettle. Floor not vacuumed well with lots of clearly visible pieces around edges of beds and wall edges. Sink leaking in bathroom. Handle for toilet moving freely in the wall. Shower and tile grouting needs updating.

Had a lovely comfortable stay, staff were very helpful and friendly l. Location was great close to town but far enough away.

Great location, 1 min walk from the centre yet quiet. It has a good size pool, sauna, steam room. The room was nice and clean.

The room was extremely hot, couldn’t sleep at night. The view was the roof and the horrible looking pipes. Wasn’t too impressed with the breakfast.

The price is just outrageous . 300 euro for a room is madness. And then the cheek to ask for 16.50 on top of that for breakfast per person. If a hotel cant include breakfast for 2 when they are getting these exorbitant prices then something is wrong.

Spent 1 night in the Ormond Hotel very nice rooms food was lovely and staff very helpful .So central to everything.

Great location, close to High Street but just far enough off the busy street to ensure a quiet night's sleep. Room was very comfortable and clean; staff were wonderfully friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Pool area a little bit tired

I was with a group. Stayed 2 nights. Woke up in the middle of the night the last night to little black bugs everywhere. I think they were ants but they were on the bed, bedside table & walls. The carpet in the reception area is noticeably dirty.

The room was perfect! Children can be tricky to travel with but my boy loved the room! It was spacious for him to play with toys and he loved the bunk beds! He never complained once. Staff were lovely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was beautiful. So close to the town we could park up the car and walk around for days. We would definitely love to come back for a longer stay in the future

The hairdryer was useless the temperature was too cool. Just a minor detail. In a family room a tiny fridge would be a good idea to keep a drop of milk in for the kids although any hotel we’ve been to doesn’t seem to have fridges anymore.

Location was great, bar and lounge were comfortable and inviting.

Rooms had no air con so it was extremely uncomfortable trying to sleep and there were a few items in the bathroom that were broke. It was also slightly strange for a buffet style hot breakfast a member of staff took your plate and plated for you instead of being able to choose yourself. The pool also needed a lot of updating especially in the locker room.

Wow what a great weekend we had , it kinda seems wrong to single two people out because every last member of staff was amazing from the junior bar and restaurant staff to the management team, but Josephine at check in /bookings was amazing in sorting 7 separate families all with different needs and Paul the manager for running a really tight competent ship , no ask big or small phased Paul and made our 2night celebration go with ease. The rooms and facilities were perfect for our group of 32 and I look forward to seeing the Ormonde and Kilkenny again. Thank again from the Cullens.

Great location and pool, lovely bar and breakfast was fab

Our room was noisy. As we were on the street side-could here bin lorry in the morning. Other than that it was quiet.

Great location and spacious rooms

Hotel rooms were beautiful, but unfortunately no air conditioning or fans during the scorching hot summer months.

The set up/arrangement with the acoustic centre pool was strange and we felt uncomfortable using the facilities with our children - the members didn’t appear to welcome hotel guests well. We also didn’t know we would have to wear swim hats and shoe covers to access the pool!

The food for the children didn’t meet my expectations

close to center but not on busy street. Friendly and helpful front desk staff answered our many questions. Charming town of Kilkenny had many shops and restaurants to choose from.

room window opened to a bank of air conditioning units. Front entrance carpet was unappealing, should probably be replaced with tile that is easy to clean.

Lovely hotel great amenities lovely food very clean love the foyer. Go every year with my daughter and family they have a great time with swimming pool and lovely choice of food for her children aswell. Looking forward to going back soon

Sehr zentrale Lage und ein sehr umfangreiches Frühstücksangebot.

Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotel sind in der Hauptsaison wohl sehr schwer zu bekommen. Es gibt eine Alternative in einem Parkhaus in der Nähe. Ist nicht so toll, aber natürlich möglich. Hotel bietet einen Sondertarif an.

Llegamos a las 15 y nos dijeron que no podisn darnos la habitacion porque el check in no era hasta las 16, salvo que pagasemos 30 euros para el early check in, un poco abusivo
