The location of the hotel was very convenient. It was near most of the attractions and walking distance to the bean and transportation. The riverwalk was right across too. It was in a very walkable neighborhood.

The hotel itself is outdated. The elevators had a gasoline scent, the room I stayed in had a leaking shower head, the bed placement was right under the air vent which made it very difficult to adjust the room temperature so that it wouldn't be too hot under sheets or too cold without. This made me get sick, I think the room layout needs to change.

The location was perfect, we were able to stop by to refresh quite often, we had a nice view, the 2nd floor lounge came in handy. All the staff we encountered were very helpful, energetic and positive.

The interior has gotten a little bit old (the doors were loud and not a fan of carpets). Waiting for the elevators more than average... I thought the breakfast was in the hotel from the booking, not a big problem but parking and dining wise more up to date info needed.

Location works great. Like the option of kitchenette and free water fill ups in hall.

Elevators are a little slow and you have to go to other floor for ice.

The view of a wall. But we weren't there for the view. We know others pay extra for a river view. The room was a little damp/humid - but it is an old building and it was hot and humid outside. We kept the fan on all night in hopes of cooling it down. Rates were higher because of superstar concert in town - which we did not attend.

I cannot believe the deal I got on this hotel! Booked it months ago in preparation for our trip, thinking it was too good for the price. The location IS PERFECT. You walk out the doors and you’re greeted with the heart of the city and the river. Absolutely incredible location, barely had to take public transit as it was close to everything on our to do list. The hotel was also stunning, and the rooms were very nice for the price. Had absolutely no issues. On top of everything good, the staff was incredibly helpful and everyone we interacted with were so nice! 10/10 experience, I will always try to book with them moving forward!

Not having breakfast is a bit of a bummer, but the restaurant next door was very cute and offered breakfast!

Location is fantastic - right on the river, nearby all the major attractions, buses and subway nearby, and is safe. Service - generally was good but varied. When I first arrived I was told by one person my room would take another hour before being ready, I went to the bathroom, then came back 10 mins later and a different staff member (who was much more helpful) said the room was already ready. They do keep your luggage which is good. There is coffee on the 2nd floor (as well as in the rooms). I appreciated that they gave me a kettle for my room. There are water dispensers on each floor which was great! Elevators - always came quickly for a big building. Rooms - my room was large and had a river view which was great. The shower was good and the bed was extremely comfortable (one of the best I've had at a hotel). There was an iron, fridge, microwave, and good mirrors. Things were overall clean. AC works well. Price - it is better priced than other options which is the appeal. For this price point I would definitely stay again despite some of these small issues. If they increased their prices I would choose somewhere else.

Rooms - things do need better care/revamping. Some parts of the room were dusty and the windows need cleaning. The armchair fabric was ripped and just shouldn't be in the room in that condition (needs repair or to be thrown out). Things generally need revamping - newer carpet, sealing the bottom of the room doors for better sound proofing, fixing the fridges (they make loud noises that can wake you unless on the lowest setting which I adjusted). I let staff know that the milk was out of date in the 2nd floor coffee area and asked for it to be replaced, but when I checked again in the evening it was still the same out of date milk.. No hot water to make tea on the 2nd floor

Die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Die Klima Anlage war sehr laut.

I booked on trivago said 300 a night. $258 in fees and taxes on top of that.. tiny room phone didn’t work left over toothpaste on the bathroom counter. Saving grace was the gracious and hospitable front desk, man in the location. Other than that probably wouldn’t stay here again.

We were really dissappointed over the view from the window to a wall. The wifi was not secured and therefore useless. The breakfast was not healthy. No fuits. The american coffee was thin like tea.

Lastimosamente se aprovechan de los visitantes y los engañan. Resulta que en el mismo edificio hay dos hoteles. El River Hotel y Club Quarters. Yo pagué mi reserva por el Club el cual tiene una tarifa más alta, cuando me hicieron el check in me asignaron las habitaciones del otro hotel que son diferentes y mucho más baratas. Pregunté más de una vez y me dijeron que era lo mismo pero después me di cuenta que me habían engañado. Solo por esto doy mi mala calificación por que a pesar que el hotel tiene muy buena ubicación me parece terrible que se aprovechen de los visitantes para engañarlos. Seguro es algo que hacen frecuentemente

Loved its location. This property was perfectly was perfectly situated. The hotel interior was very nice. It looked great and facilities made things convenient and comfortable. The facilities are definitely a win.

The guest rooms are very beat up and in my case the first room I was put in hadn’t been cleaned at all. I was upgrades to another room and it was ok, but I wouldn’t found it worth the money if I paid for it. It was at least clean, but the sheets did have smudges on them. Like the kind that didn’t come all out when washing them. You can’t do that. You have to destroy those or give them away.

Perfect for all you want to do in Chicago, right in the heart of Chicago. Clean, good size rooms. Very helpful staff. In walking distance to Clark st where there is great restaurants.

La ubicación excelente, a pasos de todo en especial el Beams. Los desayunos son muy buenos, y variados. Superó mis espectativas, en general los hoteles antiguos están deteriorados, este estaba perfecto.

My room was a nice size, the bathroom and shower were pretty small but it was ok for just one person. The staff was wonderful, the location and price can't be beat and the free laundry was awesome!

Ronnie at check-in was fabulous! The hotel is very dated, but they make up for it in free water bottle refill stations, laundry services etc. I’m local and the location is great.

Great location and stunning view. The room was tiny but very comfortable and quiet. The hotel was close to many restaurants and a 7/11.

There was some sort of maintenance being done on the entry door and the chemical fumes were dangerously strong. Gave me a headache. The elevators are not too quick.

Fantastic location in downtown Chicago within easy walking distance to the Riverwalk, Magnificent Mile, Ohio beach, Navy Pier & other attractions. The reception staff were very helpful and accommodating when they found out that our arrival was delayed for two days due to airline flight cancellations and also when we had to leave one day earlier than planned.

We booked a junior suite for three people which was smaller than we expected. The room decor could do with some refreshment.

Great location on the heart of downtown Chicago, on the river. Great hotel with awesome guest service. They not only meet your needs, they anticipate them, and react accordingly. This is our second visit to this hotel. We will certainly frequent this hotel everytime we visit Chicago.

Loved everything about this place! Comfortable bed, plenty of elevators, extremely pleasant staff, and GREAT location! We will be returning!

My cousin and I spent 7 nights at Club Quarters Wacker for a girls trip. The location is great and the hotel is very nice but the staff is excellent. Pedro and Ronnie made us feel like family and not guest. They made sure we had all the answers we needed for a successful trip. We had an absolutely lovely stay here. It was so central, we had the easiest time exploring the city onfoot or via subway. Everything is within a 10-20min walk MAX to some great attractions [Chicago Bean, Chicago River, the pier if you're up for a bit of a longer walk] and yummy restaurants [Portillo's, Giordanos, Ramen-San, etc]. Close to transit too if you want to venture out to Chinatown, Wrigley's Stadium or Rate Field like we did. The check in and check out process was extremely easy and every single staff member we encountered was so kind, accommodating and welcoming. The man that assisted us at the front desk was so friendly and even got us a room on a higher floor! Free water stations were available and daily house-keeping. Great view of the city from our room with a very comfy bed. Rooms were clean, they are a little older and not the biggest but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Perfect room and hotel for the 2 of us - made our trip that much better!

Great location. Very noisy and dated hotel. Rooms are very small, but not laid out well. Best feature is the free bottled water on each floor.

The room was smaller than advertised. Also; the kitchenette had no plates or cutleries but has a stove and an oven. I don’t know how you’re supposed to eat without the basics let alone cook. We booked a suite specifically for the kitchen because we have a kid and need to make to make breakfast but we couldn’t do that. They also don’t have breakfast or any restaurants on site so you have to go out. Their air conditioning is also barely functioning. The room was stuffy and muggy and warm.

A place to go sit outside, I could not find.

Dear Management, ​I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with our recent stay at your hotel. Although we appreciate that the first night was waived, the inconvenience and financial impact we suffered far exceeded that initial compensation. ​We specifically booked a room for 4 people with a kitchen facility so our family could stay together and cook our meals. Instead, we experienced: ​Unacceptable Initial Conditions: My children were initially assigned a room with no windows and no shower. ​Family Separation & Inconvenience: We were split into different rooms on separate floors with different elevators, spending a huge amount of time moving luggage back and forth instead of enjoying our trip. ​Loss of Key Amenities: Because the room with the kitchen was not properly provided for 4 people as booked, we were completely unable to prepare our meals, forcing us to eat out for every single meal at a significant unexpected cost. ​Unacceptable Delays: After being told to move to my children's room, we found it was only prepared for two (no towels, sofa bed unmade). Despite reporting this at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM, it was not addressed until 10:00 PM. ​Waiving one night does not compensate for the frustration, the lost family time, and the substantial extra money spent on dining out due to the lack of the booked kitchen facilities.

My issue wasn’t cleanliness; it was mainly the size and comfort of the space. The couch was uncomfortable to sit on, and the leather texture left imprints after sitting for a period of time. The bathroom was also very small with limited counter space, and the end tables were quite small. Another issue was the window. I could not clearly see outside because there was a white, fogged-looking coating on the exterior of the window. It appeared that the window either needed to be replaced or thoroughly cleaned. Overall, the property was clean, and the checkout process was easy. I did not have a bad stay, but I would not return due to the smaller room layout, limited bathroom space, the condition of the window, and the elevator situation. When one elevator was out of service, the limited number of elevators became a noticeable inconvenience. At one point during my stay, I waited approximately 30 minutes just to get back to my room.

Room. Staff at front desk (except for Leo, he tried to help us) many things were "off". Worst was the sofa bed. When opened to use, it still had dirty sheets inside. The bed was completely un-usable. Roll away bed just as bad. For $400+ a night will never go back or recommend.

The location is excellent. Walking distance to most places. Check in was easy. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was good with an excellent view. Bed very comfortable. Enough space for both of us. Bathroom well equipped and shower good. Breakfast was next door and very good. A good choice of things to have.

Cost was high for 3 nights

Check in staff direct you to a self check in, don't even ask for ID or wish you a nice stay. Elevators take forever. I waited 15 minutes on more than one occasion and because everyone else is also waiting it means everyone squashes in so you are always crowded and stopping at every floor. My room was 24th floor, 2402, and was at the end of a rather scary narrow corridor. The vibe getting to the room as a lone female just wasn't nice. The room itself was tired, old, threadbare carpets, dirty windows but nice clean and quality bedding and pillows. There's no bar or anywhere to relax in the hotel. You're either in your room or out. Location is horrible. Nearby everything yes, but horrible. Noisy outside all hours, cars blasting music, people setting off fireworks, yelling, buskers, sirens... There's homeless people approaching you as soon as you step outside, it stinks of weed as soon as you step out the door, it basically was somewhere you'd use as a base to get around the city but plan to walk out the door into an uber and only come back when tired as you didn't want to spend time in the room, and even then you needed earplugs. Simply put, it was a horrible stay and I was glad to leave.

Das Personal war sehr nett und höflich. Die Lage ist sehr gut, wenn man direkt beim Fluss sein will. Wenn man Glück hat und ein Zimmer mit Flusssicht bekommt, lohnt es sich aufgrund der Aussicht.

Die Unterkunft ist leider schon in die Jahre gekommen. Farbe kam bei den Fenster herunter / ist abgeblättert. Die Fenster sind nicht sehr dicht, deswegen hört man den Verkehr egal in welchem Stockwerk man ist. Die Böden könnten eine Tiefenreinigung vertragen und sind leider nicht mehr sehr sauber. Weiters war es trotz ohne Klimaanlage noch sehr kalt. Als wir ins Zimmer kamen war auch der Bettwäsche noch eine Lippenstift und am Fenster waren Spinnweben und das Fenster hatte Dixo auf der Innenseite, dazu roch es sehr stark nach Chlor und es gab keine Klobürste.

The location is awesome with the river walk right across the street. The shopping is so close to the hotel. It was a great place to stay. The only thing was that Uber wouldn’t pickup at the hotel.

Location is great. Several snacks at the room at an accessible price. Free coffee at the lobby.

The room size was small. You can barely walk around the bed. But I guess it's what you get for that price. No breakfast at all at the property. Air conditioner was not cold enough.
