Novotel Milton Keynes

Overall stay was okay. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. The room was fair but it was hot at night, air-conditioning did not work. I had to wake and go to reception to as for a fan. The bathrooms need refurbishing, But asides that, it was okay.

I felt the staff could have been warmer, as an Accor member though I booked through booking.com I expected more. I’ve been received better in other Novotel hotels and other members of the Accor groups of hotels.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the housekeeping service during our stay at Novotel. Our room was skipped for cleaning all day, despite us not putting a “skip clean” request on the door. Because our room had not been cleaned, we had to leave the hotel, go home to shower, then go out before returning to the hotel at around 10pm. It was only when we returned that we found our room had finally been cleaned. We were told that priority cleaning was being given to guests checking in. While we understand that priority may need to be given to incoming guests, we were already staying at the hotel and had not declined housekeeping. Leaving our room uncleaned for the entire day, only cleaning it around 10pm, was very disappointing and inconvenient. Overall, this was not the level of service we expected from Novotel.

I was very surprised to see the carpet covered in stains, and wear and tear on the furniture's. I think the rooms could be maintained better.

Overall the breakfast was good with the exception of the bacon. It was overcooked, impossible to cut and if you managed to break a piece off our teeth could not go through it

The bar closing at 11.00 pm we had only just got back from the theatre and would have liked to have a couple of drinks to wind down

The staff were fantastic let us check in earlier as we were going to an event that started at 3pm so we able to get ready and get there on time they also have placed our device we left in safe that can collect. Friendly, helpful great reception team

The rooms the were clean but every dated it wasn’t usual Novotel standard of room. It was triple the price for the first night we stayed probably due to the event so it really was not where near a £279 room we stayed another night £65 which was more like it wk think they took the mic a bit.

The toilet in the room had a continued nasty smell, there was nowhere near enough plugs to charge devices and the room was tired, dated and had black mould in the bathroom.

Customer services was superb 👌 Staff very friendly. Fell ill during the stay and staff were very helpful. Will be staying again. The manager welcomed us with a smile.. Very cheerful

EXTREMELY dated. Everything you see is old and tired. The bath/shower are from the eighties and the room is very tired. You can hear noise from upstairs, the HVAC is ancient and the pool/gym are horrid. Clean, but very old and tired, and given this is over £100/night, you can get a lot better for the money. Lovely staff and great food/drink selection, but very pricey for what it is.

The bed was comfortable. The pool and gym were excellent and very clean. The food was delicious. The staff were very helpful.

The only small thing was not having enough tea bags and milk in the room.

The room was clean and there was plenty or room available with a sofa and large desk area with a chair. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room temperature could be controlled well and the windows opened allowing fresh air. With the windows closed the room was very quiet, even though it was facing the main road.

The bed was positioned very close to one wall, which meant there was only a narrow gap available if you slept on that side of the bed. There was plenty of room available, and the bed could have been positioned further away. The price appeared to have been escalated due to an event in Milton Keynes. I paid £290 for one night in advance, with the regular rate for a Saturday in the summer being between £66 - £120 The hotel was not fully booked and this may be why - although not the only hotel to have done this.

The situation of the hotel. The facilities very old inside. Very old room, bad quality finish . Stains on curtains and carpet . Terrible broken shower . antiquated half bath type base and cotton shower curtain. Leaks.

Spacious rooms with lots of drawers and storage space. Bathroom and toilet separated. Sauna room next to swimming pool. Delicious breakfast with food refill till breakfast hours are almost over. Overall very good value for money.

Swimming pool rather small. Though it requires booking, there were quite a lot of people (about 20) in our time slot so it’s difficult to swim.

The room smelt of dog so that was a bit off putting and for 2 of the 3 days stayed there had to go to reception as key card wouldn’t open the room after we had been out for the day

Friendly, helpful and professional staff throughout the hotel. Great to have a pool to relax in after work. Breakfast plentiful with lots of hot and cold options. Lots of parking (free).

I paid £700 to stay for two nights. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly and the carpet was filthy. The sauna and swimming pool was lovely and the breakfast was good, but the room wasn’t nice.

The room was quite clean and comfortable. Reception staff were welcoming, kind and answered all questions Enjoyed the pool and sauna.

They did not give complementary slippers and bath robe maybe due to the number of people checking in over the weekend. The price of our stay is ridiculous and pure greed. Yes it's full for a festival but to overprice by £100's is out of order. They didn't agree to us having a late check out and did not change our coffee station even though we were there for two nights.

Very clean and the room were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful made our stay very comfortable would fully recommend this hotel.

Toilets felt as if I was in a care or nursing home with hand rails everywhere, high toilet seat with a back cushion. Shower not hotel stand would expect that in a lodge.

I didn’t like the fact that there is no foot rag in the toilet and shower room

Just arrived back from a one night stay in the hotel for a family with two children ( aged 9 and 2) We stayed in room 27. Very calm atmosphere in the foyer. The room was clean but a little dated compared to other Novotel we have stayed at. Reception staff really polite and helpful. We really enjoyed the swimming pool even if it was a little cold to begin with. Good links to the city centre and a garage just across the street if you need to grab anything. Can't comment on breakfast as we only had a room booked. Lovely and quiet didn't hear anyone else. Excellent value and would stay again if in the area. Remember to put in your car reg if you are parking outside.

A fairly regular location for our stays at MK because the welcome and the staff are always pleasant. The rooms are nicely appointed and have most mod cons , air con excepted but fans are provided if you ask. The beds are comfortable and are generally made up each day from our experiences. This attention to detail makes the place stand out which is why we generally use it. The breakfast buffet is very nice but does seem to run out of some popular items , and refills can be slow , but you can request non buffet items. The hotel also has a pool which can be quite popular

The room had no fridge , being a cat hotel and paying already in this heat there was no alternative to store cat food I was further Friday 3 pm charges 80 plus pounds on top of cat fee of 30 pounds for 2 days and initial fee on booking .com 2.waited an hour for change of room to unpack Friday 3. No steam room available, kids jumping in and out pool no supervision all weekend 4. Kids accessing sauna room with no supervision 10 42 to 11 30 am 5 . Boys coming in to the women's changing room Sunday morning 11 am to 11.20 am 6. We asked the lady to change bed sheet at 1130 am on Saturday as we spilt water ans she said she was on break and made us do it our self Saturday 7. Arrived at the hotel on a Sunday afternoon and the booking in went okay. The room and bathroom were both clean and tidy but the bathroom is in a desperate need of upgrading - spoils everything. The town centre is just over a mile away but its worth the walk come out of the hotel and head for the garage across the road, its where the footpath starts and follow the signs. Apart from the bathroom its a nice hotel with nice staff in a good location - what more does anyone want. Bon journey PS We don't pass comment on sleep quality as you either have a good night sleep or you don't but you have tick that box or you can't move. Why!
