Friendly, helpful, and reassuring! Like a peninsula into the Hudson! Amazing views and convenient!
Nothing! Wish we had more time to stay!
All
It was very disappointed there was no swimming pool for my grandson this woman
The Location
Nothing it was perfect!
Really nice very good location beautiful view
really great location, with spectacular view, delicious breakfast, confortable beds
View was phenomenal. I requested a city view for my son’s bday trip to NYC and they DELIVERED. Absolutely stunning.
They didn’t provide enough towels/wash cloths. They make you list number and ages of people staying (four - two teens and two adults) but then only gave us two towels & two washcloths. It’s easy enough to ask for more, so it’s just a minor inconvenience. The included breakfast was great, they offer buffet or al a carte, but they handed us a bill for $170 for breakfast. Which was very confusing. On the bill, you write the room number down & it’s handled, but at 7am, it’s a little bit of a shell shock to be handed a bill for what’s supposed to be included in the cost of your room. Again, minor inconvenience but maybe a place for improvement.
Location was great
All good
Staff members had a positive attitude and we're welcoming. Location was great, especially for the view.
Pool advertised but not available via Google. Asked for towel/bathroom replenishment on Friday got it on Saturday night. Carpet and other decor had an odor. Air conditioning could be more modern. For the price we paid I expected more. I paid less at other Hyatts and it was a far better experience. Also no regency program amenities at this location.
Good location in great view. Nice lobby and bar keep staff.
Front desk was awful. People were not nice at all and not helpful.

The location was perfect for a first time visiting NYC
Hyatt Regency on the Hudson breakfast was wonderful. I was created with a great smile by Nay…and then was served by friendly and professional Jelyn. Everything was top notch and it was a pleasure getting to know Jelyn!
This is a gem of a hotel. Right on the water, I felt like I was on a boat without the movement. Had a view of the Statue of Liberty from my room, so close to the Path train that takes you into Manhattan in 10 minutes for $3.25. Great restaurants and walking paths nearby and felt very safe near exchange place. Cleanest hotel I have stayed at in a while, staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Amazing views, clean rooms, modern feel, great food, spacious accommodations. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
we hosted a party with over 250 guests, we had event planners and outside caterers. through out the process, we noticed difficulty in getting responses from the event planning tea, at Hyatt. Hyatt servers served wrong food to the tables during dinner. sometimes the same table got multiple dishes of the same and other tables didn't receive any dishes. halfway though the party, Hyatt servers locked the refrigerators and left food inside that was waiting to be served to the guests. Never imagined this kind of service after spending a lot of money
Jelyn was exceptional! Truly top notch service. Hope to see her again when I come back!
Clean comfortable and close to ferry with great views of New York skyline.
Misleading with car parking fee as booking states 27 dollars per day we was then charged 54 per day.
Buffet Breakfast! Amazing service and food was delicious! Jelyn is a beautiful soul and very kind server!
Perfect location, great walks, fantastic room (thanks to the beautiful manager lady at reception), where the highlight is the breakfast and the bar.special thanks to Jelyne and all staff members, thanks for making this long stay pleasant.
Jelyn is a delight! Stay was amazing.
Hotel had everything I needed. The restaurant was perfect. Prahbat and Jeylyn are fantastic.
Great location great service comfortable beds! The PATH is adjacent to the hotel 10 min to World Trade CTR. Jelyn our waitress at breakfast was excellent..pleasant, attentive and a joy to chat with.
Convenient to a 10 min Path train to the WTC and multiple subway lines to get anywhere in NYC, the Hyatt Regency Jersey City offers what no hotel in Manhattan can: an iconic view of the city skyline. It used to offer a pool - an amazing and enviable rare-gem amenity for an urban hotel. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars at this property and sent many thousands more by referring colleagues because of that pool. Sadly, it is closed and is being turned into a meeting room - a foolish move on the part of management. They should have queried regular clients to learn how important that pool was to our hotel choices. Breakfast is a pleasure. Decent espresso and food (albeit the bagels need a serious uograde). The service is superb. I always try to sit in Prabhat's section. His gentle welcoming smile is my morning sunshine. If I am on property for a few days, he remembers my coffee and juice preferences by day 2. His quiet attentiveness feels like a friend who cares, but merely food service. Seek him out; he will make your stay memorable.
Enjoyed breakfast with a great view and friendly staff! Jelyn and Gabriel were both friendly and attentive! It’s been a long time that I have had such a pleasant experience in a restaurant.
The whole experience was awesome Excellent view Excellent breakfast and Excellent staff very polite and humble ❤️
we had a group of 10 for my uncles birthday party. Jelyn took care of us and she was lovely. great experience , and food was amazing
Our server Jelyn was an excellent person. She serv d us so well. She was smiling all the time and always willing to help. She is a bismmg asset to your organization
Had a terrific experience when I decided to drop in to grab breakfast.. The view was fantastic at the restaurant and my server Jelyn was so attentive and very sweet! The food was perfect- ordered off the menu and had yummy eggs and the chicken sausage was delicious.
Location, location, location.
While most staff were accommodating and courteous, there was a female wait staff in dining area who clearly didn't want to be there. She was curt and had no service skills. Several guests left their tables because of inattention. We were fortunate that a male staff took our order. Also extremely disappointed Hyatt didn't communicate with JC police. Took us 2 hrs to go thru 5-6 blocks because of blocked roads leading to hotel.
Jelyn, our server, at the breakfast buffet is a gem. Her attentive presence and reassuring charm made our experience delightful.
Customer service at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We were even able to check in early and had a great river view!
Excellent location to watch the Macy's 4th of July fireworks, and the USA 250th celebration. Great view of lower west Manhattan. Very convenient to the Path station and restaurants.
The coffee maker outlet did not work. No response to text to number we received to make requests.
Booking.com is still advertising the pool, showing pictures of it. They no longer have a pool, reception told us upon arrival. This is permanent, not temporary. We booked because of the pool. It is not the property’s fault but booking.com’s. They have not gotten back to me about a substantial partial refund, so I will probably do that via my credit card company. So yes, it is an ok place, but not special dues to lack of pool.
Lack of advertised pool, flickering light in bathroom, no mini bar, no robes, no room service
the view was amazing from the bar so relaxing, room were a good size
Bar staff could have been a bit faster they seem to be on go slow
Jelyn provided exceptional service from the moment we arrived. She was incredibly kind, friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. She checked on us throughout our meal to make sure everything was perfect and always had a warm smile. Her professionalism and genuine care made our breakfast experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Jelyn, for your outstanding service! You truly made a difference, and we hope to see you again. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our stay was great! In particular our bar tender Ryan was amazing! Good customer service, great interaction and attentiveness. Ryan is a kind person who made our sister trip even more special ❤️
I booked the most expensive room category available, but I was given one of the cheapest rooms instead—it wasn’t even an ocean-view room, despite the fact that I had paid for one. On the first day, the front desk admitted that the room type I had booked was unavailable and claimed they had arranged a room of equivalent value. However, after checking myself, I found that the room they gave me was nearly £150 cheaper than the one I had paid for. What made the situation even worse was that after I raised this issue again, the hotel completely denied what they had previously admitted and responded with an incredibly arrogant and unreasonable attitude. I have stayed in many hotels around the world, but I have never experienced treatment this rude, dishonest, and unprofessional. I genuinely felt discriminated against and deeply disrespected as a guest. The most shocking part is that this happened when I booked without using my World of Hyatt Globalist account. This experience has shown me a side of Hyatt that I had never seen before, and it has completely destroyed my confidence in the brand. I am seriously considering giving up my Hyatt membership altogether, and I will be advising all of my friends and family to avoid Hyatt after this disgraceful experience. Shame on this hotel, and shame on Hyatt for allowing such appalling service under its name. This is, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Stay away.
We stayed for our wedding weekend in May 2026. And boy were we in for a surprise. To start, when we pulled up they had valet (expensive) and you had to pay each time you wanted to leave even if it was for a quick drop off. There is no parking attached to the hotel. The parking they claim to use is located several blocks away at a Whole Foods parking deck. Also, there’s no bellhop or anyone to assist you with your luggage. Even the Westin in JC has a bellhop. Here at Hyatt you would think they’d assist you but no. You the enter the hotel and lug your own luggage in and need to take an elevator up. The hotel fragrance was nice. We booked a suite but ended up getting one of the lowest floor suites despite booking many months in advance. The suite was spacious and the view was nice but the suite was dated and the door ID reader kept breaking. When we tried contacting the front desk, we found out that there was no direct line to the front desk. Upon picking up the phone and dialing front desk, it rings as if you’re calling from outside the hotel, as if you’re not a guest. We were very astounded as even cheap motels have direct lines to the front desk… So there is no actual front desk line to reach the front desk from the suite. Also, when checking in and out there was no special mention or regard that we were having a wedding- it felt very corporate like they didn’t want our business, but it was more probably that they were overworked and understaffed perhaps from poor upper management. The restaurant was decent with nice views. Overall this is a very much one stop hotel and I don’t see any further business with it, the flaws just couldn’t make up for the poor customer service. It’s a shame because Hyatt has a good reputation and I heard this place was recently renovated to. It is a good location next to the Path station to nyc but it’s plagued by lack of parking, expensive valet, no bellhop, poor customer service, and no direct line to the front desk from your hotel suite. We paid good money for a suite for a wedding weekend and expected much better service, it’s a real shame because it’s such a good location with nice views.
In 4min ist man beim World Trade Center.

If you’re looking for a room with a priceless view of NY look no further. The room and service was impeccable. Will definitely come back.
Awesome location. The place is clean. Rooms are big enough for our family. The PATH (Subway system) is literally next to it. The place is quiet compare to being in NYC, yet it’s only a 5-min subway ride. Would definitely stay here again when we visit NYC.
Updated: The property's third-party valet service claims department proactively reached out to me to process the claim, and I received the reimbursement check within 7 business days, as promised. As a result, I am updating my rating from 2 (Poor) to 4 (Good). Original Review: Compared to our last visit two years ago, I could definitely see the improvements after the renovation. The property overall feels refreshed, and most of the front desk staff were helpful during our stay. However, the room with the accessible bathtub that we received still left much to be desired. Since it was only a two-night stay and the hotel appeared to be at or near capacity, I chose not to complain or request a room change. Unfortunately, the biggest issue happened at checkout, when the valet parking service lost or misplaced my car keys. When I reported the situation, I was simply told that the valet company is a third-party vendor and that there was nothing the hotel could do for me. While I understand the valet service may be operated by a third party, the lack of sympathy, urgency, or willingness to assist was extremely disappointing. It felt like the response was essentially, “Sorry, there’s nothing we can do,” and that was the end of it. After I followed up via email and included my Hyatt concierge, one of the assistant managers did add the valet company’s manager to the email chain, but I have not received any further updates since then. I sincerely hope the valet company is able to locate my lost key and mail it back to me as soon as possible. However, if the key cannot be found, I would like to know how the hotel and valet company plan to handle reimbursement for the costs associated with deactivating the current keys and purchasing replacements. At this point, my overall impression of the stay will largely depend on how this situation is handled moving forward. I am willing to update and revise my rating accordingly if the property and valet company resolve the matter professionally and responsibly.
The reason for my June day was to attend business meetings at my office, which is less than a five minute walk away from the hotel The hotel is also close to many restaurants. In addition to a great location, the view of the NYC skyline from my room and from the bar area was amazing. The front desk staff was courteous and was able to accommodate my early check-in request. They even upgraded my room. The room was also very clean. I will definitely stay here again for my next work trip.
Nice room perfect location
The view was outstandingly beautiful!!!

Exceptional Staff and relaxing stay ay The Hyatt. Felt like a vacation on a Business Trip! Location is perfect, quiet, convenient and everything was perfect includiung Breakfast that offered many fresh options . If you like fresh Eggs, Omelettes, Fresh Fruits everything was there
Avoid rooms on the 8th floor, the noise from the ballroom above was very loud and kept our children from going to sleep. For what we paid I was very disappointed. You are double dipping, booking these weddings (there were 2 that night we stayed) and charging people extravagant rates to stay below a ball room with blasting music. Be honest about the room being loud for a few hours if on a weekend and charge less.... oh wait that would never happen because greed... money etc
Excellent stay! The hotel was very clean, the location was very convenient, and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was great, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Jelyn, who was especially sweet and kind and made our breakfast even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
check in was a disaster due to a significant amount of kids checking in for a convention. Took an hour in a queue. Staff were fairly rude and not engaging atall. Asked if we could be kept away from the scores of kids rooms as we had travelled transatlantic and were tired, in fairness this was accommodated but had to change lower floor. Room was decent but shower was low in pressure and slow to heat. Had dinner in the bar area, food was fairly expensive and quality not great. Staff said we would get a gratuity credit back to card due to the issues on room change but never happened, due back to area in October but likely look at other options sadly.
A beautiful location overlooking the Hudson River with amazing views of Manhattan. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The bar was well staffed and friendly atmosphere. We stayed for a wedding so the location was convenient.
Really convenient location one stop away from downtown offices (faster than taking the train from mid-town manhattan). Also a quick trip to EWR when flying in and out. Ended up also staying through the weekend on this trip with family and the hotel staff was very attentive to my family's requests. Great views of the Manhattan skyline at breakfast and from the rooms. Also really like how everything is newly renovated.
Beautiful view from rooms! Slightly lacking in service. Got into rooms early. Food was good. Cost of stay was expensive. Room was clean. Great location
Very nice hotel, quiet, best view of the nyc skyline. Breakfast buffet and dining area was great, servers Gabriel & Jelyn were very polite & helpful! Will be back very soon to visit.
10/10 hotel experience. Seamless online check in and check out. The hotel environment is chill, quiet and not overstimulating. The rooms were beautiful, we got a city view with a balcony and just could not have asked for a better room or experience traveling with little ones. Right next to the path station so was able to utilize that in and out of NYC. Can’t wait to come back.
Fantastic hotel, and fantastic service. Huge shout out to Jelyn for the two amazing breakfasts that I had. Five stars for her alone!!!
Beautiful view and close proximity to PATH. We loved walking on the dock at night and taking in the wonderful Manhattan views. Our room was very clean with a nice sitting area. We also had a small window and we appreciated the fresh breeze. However, our first night was really, really loud. We had gotten up at 4:00 a.m. earlier in the day to catch a plane and hoped to go to bed by 10:00 p.m. We were unable to do so because of a loud jazz event above us. Please be aware when booking that there is an event venue on the 3rd floor. We were on the 2nd and heard drums and saxophones until midnight. I called and complained and the receptionist told me it was a private party and in her own words, there was "nothing they could do". This is also the first time I have ever stayed at a Hyatt that does not provide free breakfast for all guests with a free coffee station. We did have coffee in our rooms though. There is not a quick breakfast restaurant close by the hotel or anything like a "grab and go". We walked about 8 minutes to Whole Foods. Breakfast for us would have totaled $360 for a simple three night stay and since we actually prefer about 400 calories for breakfast, it would have been a huge rip off.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel with fantastic views from all angles. Love the bar/restaurant area with the most stunning view of The World Trade Center and Manhattan. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful with anything you may need, no request is too small for them. Worth every dollar I spent to stay here. The Path is right outside the door and a quick 3 min ride and you're in the city!
Do not stay here. Customer service snapped at me multiple times, the final straw was coming back to the room at 8pm to find it wasn’t cleaned (there was no do not disturb sign up) and when I called they said oops too late the cleaning crew are going home, you had a sign on the door - there wasn’t it was an excuse and I had proof. I also had to ask them to vacuum the hall after I noticed dirt on the carpet for 2 days - it was so visible I was in shock. Stay anywhere else.
The amenities and room were great. The hotel is very close to the Path station to World Trade Center. Breakfast as a Globalist was great. I normally stay at the Hyatt House nearby, and this one is a step up. I will say I still prefer the Hyatt House, as it is slightly closer to the light rail and neighborhood amenities. The Hyatt House gets more room noise from the light rail, but the Regency gets a lot more noise from the ballrooms (see below). I would have loved to be given the option to not be directly under a wedding event. The noise and bass of the music between around 7pm and midnight was jarring. Sound proofing between event spaces and rooms is a serious concern at this hotel. I think the hotel should do a better job of keeping event guest rooms directly next to the ballrooms so that non-event guest are not so close to them. I noticed many wedding guests on mid hotel floors, and I got placed on the 8th floor directly under the ballroom.
Super convenient access to the city with PATH literally next door. One stop to World Trade Center with access to almost every train to get you anywhere in the city. Breakfast buffet was meh ... servers were less than excited to be there and we waited a long time every day to get our bill. Rooms were spacious and clean.
Personál bol perfektný. Krásna izba s úžasným výhľadom.
Early check in fee, $50. Key cards not activated properly at check in and as an added bonus, bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly, hairnet was found in the shower.
This Hyatt provides an excellent atmosphere to relax and unwind. It's crazy close to NYC (one stop train ride on the Path). The hotel is immaculately clean, the food is on point and the staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. There is a reason I'm a frequent flyer there.
My wife and I truly enjoyed our 2 pre-cruise nights at the Hyatt Regency! The view from The Exchange restaurant was spectacular. It was wonderful to also see The Statue of Liberty from our room. Special thanks to Jelyn in the restaurant! She was always so cheerful in the morning when I was dispatched to get coffee. She is a real tribute to the hotel. The only things that disappointed us were the astronomical cost for drinks at the bar and the surprisingly skimpy wine pours. Highly recommend the Porto Leggero Restaurant just a short walk from the hotel. Lovely bar, fabulous service, and a dining room that serves unforgettable meals at reasonable prices.

Location and cleanliness
Staff not helpful, very bad customer service, irresponsible, and bad parking arrangements.
This is a perfect location for getting into the city. The World Trade Center Memorial is one train stop away, and the station is right outside your door. Friendly staff, spacious rooms, and a great view
Jelyn provided amazing service during our stay! She was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Her positive attitude and professionalism really made our experience even better. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. It was a great stay.
Even though the hotel is in Jersey City, it is conveniently located right next to the Exchange PATH station making it an easy commute to downtown NYC. The views of the Hudson and NYC are great and rooms were spacious and clean. My only complaint is the lack of sound proofing as you're able to hear the room next door very clearly, albeit I probably had noisy neighbors. The front desk staff were unavailable at night (12am onward) and I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone in Guest Services either. I didn't get to enjoy much of the facilities as I was on a business trip but would recommend this hotel.
Breakfast not included in room rate. Very nice hotel with a nice ambience. Amenities outside with boardwalk and family activities was amazing.
Nice hotel and great proximity to NYC. We went to a family wedding at a venue 5 minutes from the hotel. Before the wedding we enjoyed two days walking around NYC and taking a ferry ride to see the Statue of Liberty and NYC skyline. PATH public transit made things very easy to get around.
We had great breakfast at Hyatt, thanks to Jelyn for making it so special!! She was very kind and welcoming. She made sure our morning was special.
Location on the water was very nice with a beautiful view of the NYC skyline. Everything was great except parking situation. Valet was extremely slow and understaffed the whole weekend.
Had such a lovely Mother’s Day Brunch! Jelyn our server took such great care of us and helped make my day extra special! Also, received a lovely a rose to add a pretty touch and took pictures with their beautiful backdrop! Ended our brunch with pics, city views, priceless memories, and all smiles! Ty for making my day extra sweet!
Location to port bayonne
My issue isn't with the room. It's Being charged 2 times and I can't get anyone to help. I've been sent on phone to accounting and front desk. I've sent voicemails and sent emails. Noone at all will try to help with this. I haven't been acknowledged at all, so I had to file a complaint with my credit card company. I even have proof of both payments paid. 1st through Booking .com when I booked it in July 2025, then they charged again on May 1,2026 after my stay April 28,2026.
Breakfast was great. Everything came out as expected. Jelyn was very attentive and kind.
Great hotel with amazing views of NYC and a fantastic location. Overall condition of the property was good, staff was friendly and helpful.
Jelyn was absolutely an amazing server. Our interactions with her were nothing short of perfect. Always made sure we were taken care of, very friendly, and polite.
We've stayed at this location a few times when we come up to NYC. It's right next to the train which is very convenient and it has a gorgeous view of the city. The restaurant is also great and our server Jelyn was such a delight! I'd highly recommend staying here.
Pyablat was our Server in the 3rd floor restaurant and lounge. He and his associates did a fabulous job and recognized our preferences from the previous day.
Beautiful location with excellent view of the Hudson . This is what I woke up to the whole weekend. And it's beautiful in the evening.
Jelyn is the model of customer service. She went above and beyond to make my birthday breakfast meaningful. I’ll never forget the Kindness she showed.
Outstanding service and food in the restaurant. The staff, Jalyn and Gabriel, did an excellent job!
My family tagged along on my wife’s business trip to Jersey City. This is her go to hotel when she is there. It is centrally located in the business area of Jersey City. Though Jersey City is a nice city, my family was more interested in seeing Manhattan. This hotel is located on a pier on the Hudson River and some rooms have sweeping views of lower and midtown Manhattan, probably a better view than most hotels in Manhattan. Its location is also right next to a PATH subway station. If you are familiar with the PATH and the NYC subway systems, you can get from this hotel to lower Manhattan in 5 minutes and to midtown in under 15 minutes. If you are visiting the Statue of Liberty, it is also a short 10 minute uber ride to the Jersey City Statue of Liberty Ferry port. This port is for those visitors from New Jersey but you are free to take the return ferry to Battery Park Manhattan after your visit which is what we chose to do. The New Jersey Ferry port is also located next to the New Jersey 9/11 memorial called “Empty Sky” and a magnificent former railroad terminal. These two places are sites by themselves. The hotel was recently renovated and looks new inside though the escalator at the entrance was broken during our entire stay which was a minor inconvenience. The restaurant is also newly renovated and has very nice views of Manhattan. We only had breakfast at the restaurant which was the standard buffet spread but the food was replenished regularly and service was good. Rooms in this hotel are considerably larger than in most hotels of this level inside Manhattan. I would stay here again in my travels bring me to Jersey City or NYC.
I received a proactive room upgrade to an upper floor with clear views of the Hudson River, the downtown skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. The property's location is both convenient and quiet. This was my second visit to the Hyatt Regency Jersey City, and my first since the recent renovations. The updates are highly practical and well-executed. During my 7-night stay, I appreciated the new room layout and furnishings. Useful features included plenty of electrical outlets for multiple devices, a large TV with wireless screen casting, and a spacious bathroom counter for toiletries. Housekeeping was completely reliable throughout the week. During extended stays, service quality can sometimes vary from day to day, but my room was thoroughly cleaned and properly restocked every single day without exception. Breakfast at the Vu restaurant was a highlight, particularly the service provided for Globalist members. One server, Jelyn, was highly attentive, remembered my daily order, and provided prompt service while working effectively with her colleagues. The restaurant staff and management also demonstrated strong teamwork. During a busy breakfast shift, a server sustained an injury requiring immediate medical attention. The restaurant manager promptly stepped in to cover the server's section, ensuring the meal service continued smoothly without interruption. The team showed genuine concern for their colleague's well-being the following day, which reflects a highly supportive and professional workplace culture. Overall, the staff at this property provided a highly reliable and comfortable Globalist experience. I plan to return for future visits.
