Welcoming staff .spacious clean rooms and very comfortable bed.
Friendly staff. Good parking facilities. Quiet location. Good breakfast. Spacious bedroom. Air conditioning.
There was a funny smell in the bedroom. Some staff didn’t wear uniforms, which was confusing, especially when someone knocked on the door to ask if we were checking out. We didn’t know that he worked there, and he didn’t introduce himself as a member of staff. No tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom. The window didn’t open very much at all.
The staff was very friendly and they couldn't do enough for you.
A pleasant place to stay with friendly and helpful staff.
There was a large conference on the weekend we stayed and breakfast became a bit congested
Good hotel in a great locations. Rooms were very nice and the bar had a good selection.
Breakfast was not well managed, causing confusion for guests. Breakfast was actually a buffet oposed to table service as advertised on website. Food quality and choice was good, but the setting needs some attention.
I like the location as it is peaceful and beautiful The size of the room was a good for 2 people and the beds were comfortable
The bathroom sink needs to be updated as it is rusted beyond belief
Staff was very attentive. Food was good.
Everything was great.
The location and the look of the property was beautiful, the staff were polite.
Room facilities and food were not great. In room robes hanging in wardrobe had big holes in them, no tea, coffee etc had to ask at reception for some. Sofa bed was not fit for purpose, son ended up having to leave. Room service had to use own phone to contact them, but ended up going to reception, as no answer. Dinner, no flavour, kids left theres and at a cost of over £100, was not cheap. Breakfast limited selection and again no flavour coffee machine produced warm not hot coffee. Overall a very expensive and disappointing experience.
Super friendly staff and a great evening meal and good quality breakfast. Shout out to the waiter on shift in Seasons on night of 12/9, he was incredibly accommodating. A lovely guy. Very convenient for Bletchley Park. Good menu range and drinks range. Comfortable beds. Realistic pricing.
The seating in the bar area isn’t that comfortable. The musak played in that area excruciating if you are a lover of good music and too loud. Lovely staff turned it down but it was tacky and didn’t in my view enhance the atmosphere - I would have preferred it quiet. The air con in room 203 makes a noise like a light clicking on and off continuously, so couldn’t sleep with it on, but room too hot without. Our friend in Room 202 slipped getting into the bath because of smooth surface. The shower in that room was extremely sensitive and hard to regulate leading from very cold to hot suddenly - this is a hazard. Shower/bath needed instructions. Shame to have a mini bar without anything in it. Please also check the public toilets downstairs regularly; one had clearly not been checked.
The staff were very attentive. There was an excellent breakfast selection.
Our room was in an annexe and was quite small compared to those in the main building.
Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds with friendly staff.
Limited parking as there was a wedding . Beautiful room but terrible smell of sewage from the bathroom !
Stunning location beautiful grounds, Spotlessly clean lovely room with comfortable bed and helpful staff. Generous en-suite size. Although sited in beautiful countryside this hotel has good connections to MK attractions. It took just 12 minutes to Bletchly Park. It is a historic house (e.g. it does not have a purpose built main reception) so it can be forgiven to have some old fashioned aspects which adds to its charm.
The dinner menu was quite limited so we went to a nearby pub for dinner the next day. However when arriving after a long journey it was very nice to be able to book a table in the hotel the first night.
Chose this for its proximity to Bletchley Park. A very pleasant place to stay
Lokacija,mir
Pri večerji si moraš iti natočiti hrano do šanka ter preden dobiš plačati, kar glih ni navada saj ne veš kaj dobiš, samo k..u se plačujejo vnaprej. Drugače pa hrana dobra
Quietness Staff
Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Great location. Room was excellent. Air-conditioning was amazing as it was so hot outside.
Good sized room with large TV and comfortable beds. Room quiet and not overlooked. Ideal for a one or two night stay. Ample breakfast.
We were visiting Bletchley Park so a convenient location.
Location fab and TV in room superb
Really gone downhill since new pre Covid Whole hotel shabby and tired now. Needs money spent on it
Breakfast was a normal buffet, with cereal and cooked options, all on a self-serve basis. The breakfast staff worked very hard to keep everything fully stocked. Our room was quiet and very comfortable.
The breakfast room needed an extra coffee machine and a second toaster. Queues for both were unacceptably long at times.
Great location & clean & lovely staff
Breakfast time - had to ask for cuttlery, plates and cup as run out of everything but couple of staff chatting instead of checking the facilties.
The hotel and its decor were excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Lovely setting. Plenty of free parking spaces. Maybe consider adding some EV charging spots?
Our room’s shower was broken and unusable; the bedside light fitting was damaged and had been repaired but was dangerously; the blind would not tilt. All of these should have been spotted by housekeeping especially the shower. The staff quickly moved us to another slightly better room which was fine but even this had a broken toilet seat. Breakfast was ok but every day required a hunt from table to table for butter and condiments etc. The toaster was incredibly slow and had a broken lever.
Everything, room was just as advertised, comfortable beds, clean well equipped, plenty of towels. Nothing was too much trouble
Nothing to dislike
Well located and nice location. Spacious room which was clean and well decorated. The staff were friendly and keen to help. Food was good.
Location of the reception was not clear and should have a sign. Same applies to the secret dining room hidden behind wallpapered doors. Hot water tap in bathroom was just a trickle and the mixer spout was wobbly.
Very clean. Larger than average room. Staff very attentive
A little too far from the centre. Dinner menu was quite limited for us. Lots of spicy type foods but few traditional meals on offer.
Excellent hotel in beautiful setting on the edge of Milton Keynes Extremely friendly and helpful staff.Spacious rooms. Only 10 mins drive to Bletchley Park
Breakfast was a little chaotic due to very slow coffee machine. Staff worked very hard as there were too few of them
Lovely older building and nicely refurbished. Good choice of breakfast options. Great location for walks and local pub just round the corner.
The coffee machine at breakfast isn't the best. The dinner menu was limited so I ate at the pub instead.
The hotel was attractive, in a good location, and with an excellent, free, car park. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had eaten breakfast and lunch during the day before arriving, so did not wish to eat much for dinner. The chap on the desk kindly offered to get the kitchen to make us some sandwiches. We took him up on this offer later, and chose some sandwiches from the lunch menu. They were very enjoyable, and an absolutely perfect end to the day! Breakfast was also very good.
Nothing really. The hotel was very good, and if we are in that area again, we will definitely look to stay here.
The bed was reasonably comfortable
I was forced to changed bedrooms THREE TIMES IN 24 HOURS. First I paid for adelux room with walk in shower and roll top back and didn't get it, then moved to roll top and the toilet broke at 6am so was forced to go to reception as no phone in the room, then onto my third room and still didn't get what I paid for, the electrics were terrible, cold water, not a clean room, it was appalling. When I complained they offered me a drink and breakfast..I paid over 100 a night!!!!! I finally got a refund but was not enough for what I went through. Metal thing hanging over the bath, only half a bath to climb into.. The shower glass glued into place leaving no room..... Try using your brains!! Reception staff were very inconsistent with their responses.... Very bad hotel
Location is lovely and peaceful. Staff friendly and polite but thin on the ground.
We stayed here 9yrs ago and loved it but sadly it now needs some love. Bed mattress was awful and so didn’t get good sleep. Breakfast terrible so please don’t bother. To think they would charge £19.50 if not on your rate! Toaster was broken and looked knackered. Coffee machine crap. Cheap bread and cold buffet. This is supposed to be 4 star. I expect fresh coffee and tea, variety of breads and hot food. They really need to improve or downgrade to 3 star!
Room was clean and comfortable.
Seemed short staffed. Check in was late. Bar wasn’t staffed. Hall and landing weren’t clean. Breakfast wasn’t great and coffee machine very slow.
Beautiful grounds and well kept lounge and bar area
Bedroom tyres looking and lots stains on carpets. It lacked facilities as not much else to do around the local area.
Nice setting
Room carpet was not clean room had cobwebs and no lift
room, bed, breakfast
nothing
Lovely grounds
Room very small
Wonderful setting.
Slippery getting in and out of the shower. Could use a walk in shower
Peaceful location and very friendly attentive staff
Good ambience
Friendly staff, close to the Milton Keyes Bowl.
The bed was not comfortable, the duvet and pillows were flat and lifeless.
Everything. The location, the staff, the calmness, beauty etc
Didn’t notice anything
the stuff is friendly - the car park was large and free - close to a pub walking distance.
The initial room I was allocated had a strange smell - reception was great and allocated a new room to us - the new room clearly was no inspected before new guests - the bin was full of contact lenses and toenails. The breakfast was not great - very limited options and more English fried breakfast then fresh.
Well looked after by the young man on reception, he couldn’t do enough for us. The room was clean and very comfortable with a nice outlook. The furnishings were all very nice throughout the hotel and also comfortable furniture to sit outside.
We ordered the lamb dinner which came with nice mashed potatoes but the carrots and butter beans were frozen, I would have preferred fresh vegetables. I thought the breakfast was over priced so chose not to have it.
Great hotel - feels very homely - clean and lovely staff
bed was comfy.
our bathroom had hair all over it. there is no plug sockets next to the bed, the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold, there is no sockets in front of mirrors for getting ready for the day, the bathroom light was constantly flickering, no bath mat so getting out straight onto slippery tile. no phone for calling to reception but a menu in the drawer? for an accessible room there was nothing convenient or accessible about it. room was also not ready upon arrival.
Liked the outside and the front of the house
I didn’t like the bathrooms, side of bathtub was coming away and few bits need updating in the rooms, didn’t like the breakfast, went cold quick and bacon was soggy and not crispy. Only eat there once in the two days of staying. They came to do the room and didn’t give us any clean cups or extra coffees but when I asked at reception it was no trouble to get us some.
Attractive Manor House with character. Beautifully decorated interior spaces/room. Excellent breakfast with a huge variety of choice
Chairs in bar area too low for the tables especially if eating/snacking. Poor quality coffee from machine at breakfast.
Everything was spot on.
Location and grounds
Reception and delays
Location Quiet. Fridge in bedroom.
Small details. No drawers/ shelves for clothes in room. No marmalade or hot plates for cooked breakfast. Different milk options not labelled.
It was a beautiful setting , very relaxing
Beautiful old building in a great location. Comfy bed in a spacious room
When we arrived we couldn't get in our room until 1hr after check in time.we wasn't the only ones. Seemed like it was very chaotic as was breakfast
The room was, as expected from the website, very good and the breakfast excellent. The staff, without exception, were friendly, polite and helpful.
Bathroom was not cleaned before our arrival..
Quiet location, plenty of parking, nice pub close by. Good location for visiting Silverstone.
Spider in the room.
Spent three nights at the hotel and very much enjoyed the stay. We were greeted and booked in by Cadence, a charming member of staff. Breakfast was good, great choice of food offered and extras such as poached eggs were happily provided. Bar prices were very reasonable indeed. Were we not already committed to a trip elsewhere over Christmas this year, would definitely have been tempted to book their festive 3 night break which includes meals - if it’s offered again next year, we will seriously consider booking. The thank you drink from staff for one of our group assisting in changing a bulb over the dining room sign was very much appreciated. Highly recommend the hotel to visitors to the area.
Nothing negative to say about our stay at all.
Excellent location in a quiet area near to a small village with a lovely old pub. The hotel itself is a former stately home and is gorgeous. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the chef was very amenable to changes to suit my dietary restrictions. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough
The restaurant, food and staff were amazing !!
It was hot, we needed aircon in the room.
Great location, welcoming staff, lovely decoration.
Bed was too soft, cleaning could be improved a bit.
The staff were super helpful and friendly. The grounds and house are beautiful. The food was good. I had the afternoon tea and it was great.
No breakfast in the room, despite being advertised. No room service. Bar was hardly manned. I felt sorry for the staff as it looked like they were short staffed.
Location
Coffee machine at breakfast
Air con during fifth heatwave was very much welcomed. Comfortable room, was able to check in late, no issues- location very nice and convenient.
Nothing i didnt like.
Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the nature around the hotel, great relaxing view from our room and bed was comfortable.
Excellent breakfast, beautiful location
Friendly staff Clean room Quiet Great bathroom Fridge/ Freezer Space… large room
A little dusty Breakfast - no glasses for juice and coffee machine not working (staff did fix this issue). Overall, breakfast was excellent but these ‘little nudges’ did on this occasion make it a little less enjoyable
Not much
Really over priced for what you got. Very disappointed. The towel in the room was dirty and had a large hole in it! The whole place wasn’t the level i expected for the price
Great location. Friendly staff. Lovely character to the place.
Room was like an oven when I arrived. High ceilings meant cobwebs and spiders.
Beautiful room Clean. Tidy. Lovely hotel and staff
Nothing
Breakfast, spacious room, comfy bed, complimentary water
All was great
It was in a great location. very welcome good decor. Excellent bed. Felt like I was sleeping on a cloud
Nothing
The air conditioning was top notch, the red haired lady on the reception was really helpful. The second room we were given (a superior room) was much nicer inside the house. It was quiet and there was plenty of parking.
The first room we were given smelled strongly of damp and was very tired. I can't believe anyone has checked it, the shower was hit and miss with temp
Location & air con in bedroom, also good parking.
Bathroom floor was quite slippy.
In the right place. Quite lovely surroundings
Nothing that I can think of really
Excellent staff. Great bar meals and breakfast.
The dining room needs the wallpaper seeing to in the room near the windows. The sink taps in room 105, well I'm pretty sure they're not meant to look like that !! Check them out please. Bed was excellent.
Happy with room, bed very comfortable, staff were exceptional, nothing too much trouble & very friendly & in a beautiful setting.
Lovely property with beautiful grounds. Breakfast was delicious. Bed comfortable.
The ONLY thing slightly inconvenient was that the bathroom floor was really slippy to the point it was dangerous.
Gorgeous boutique hotel in a lovely setting. Friendly staff, very nicely decorated throughout. Good size room with fridge, kettle, safe, air con and comfy bed. Lovely bar with outside space overlooking a field. Nice breakfast in the lovely dinning room.
Nothing
The locality to where I wanted to go to
The Breakfast was very average, decor has some serious wear and tear
Friendly arrival, comfortable and clean room. Aircon was an unexpected bonus.
Briars outside the window marring a nice view of the lawn.
Great location, staff were lovely
First room i was put in was very dirty, flying insects everywhere and had to change room. Second room was much better and cleaner however had to ask for more shampoo which never came
Warm welcome
No lift
Location was excellent for our planned visit to Bletchley Park, the hotel is in a quiet area and looks very good on arrival with the beautiful sunshine. Plenty of free parking for guests. Breakfast was normal for hotels, cereals, cheeses, ham and pastries along with a hot English breakfast if required.
A lack of plugs in the room proved an issue given the mobile technology most people travel with today.
Location and staff
Bed and pillows were not comfortable ,price is little bit hight
Main bedroom very restful. General ambience calm and welcoming. All staff very helpful and happy.
Blind in the bedroom was faulty. Toilet seat loose. Shower head and 'pipe' filthy - black mould!! Also dirt on tiles. Basin tap squirted water everywhere due to high pressure. Plug in sink did not stop water escaping when closed.
Location, room size, family room, air conditioning. Friendly staff, location next to a pub
Noisy aircon pump, might have been some kind of condensation pump, woke us ip every hour in room 406.
Location and the grounds of the hotel
Breakfast had a poor choice and felt the decor needed upgrading
Very comfortable and calm hotel with pleasant communal areas and a good choice of well-prepared food for breakfast.
Televisions in both rooms a little old.
Excellent stay for my wife's 60th. Staff very nice, bed and room comfortable. Lovely terrace to bar to enjoy the open fields and grounds. Breakfast good. Would definately stay again.
Nothing
Very clean room and nice decoration and furniture.
Bathroom not sparkingly clean, with marks around the bath and shower.
Staff and location were fantastic 👌
Air conditioning not working and very uncomfortable bed. Was 2 singles pushed together sold as a king. Really bad nights sleep.
All the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The bed was softer than we would have expected, but was very comfortable and we all had a good night's sleep. The buffet breakfast was excellent, although we did have to ask one of the staff for some bowls for the cereals and fruit. The evening meal was well cooked and there was plenty of choice on the menu. However, the menu we viewed on the website was different to what was on the menu in the restaurant - perhaps this could be updated?
Unfortunately the coffee machine as not working properly but the lady in reception was kept busy making Cappuccinos and Lattes for the guests who wanted them. We were in room 113 and the taps in the bathroom seemed to be the wrong way round with hot water coming out of the cold and vice versa. The plug would not seal in the hole and it was impossible to keep the water in the bowl. The blinds could not be fully closed as the mechanism kept jamming. The fridge in our friend's room (306) did not work.
Peaceful
No plugs in room only one at desk none either side off beds definitely only 3 star needs for to detail
Very impressive on the eye
I liked everything
לא היתה נוכחות קבועה וסדירה בדלפק הקבלה. קצת מיושן.
The staff were sweet, but very overworked. More staff needed.
Lovely old building in a great location. Beautiful gardens. Short stroll through the churchyard to a lovely pub, The Olde Swan. Room was very clean and a good size. Aircon was very welcome and we had an excellent night’s sleep.
To have an evening meal we would have had to have it at 6-6.30 as it was fully booked with private parties after that (there were a lot of business meetings going on in the hotel). We ate at the pub instead, which was very pleasant.
Great welcome by receptuon & upgraded to a larger room with large TV. The hotel has lovely grounds. Good generous breakfast and all set for work meetings.
No problems at all. Few lights need checking.
Location was superb for Silverstone. Both in distance and the site itself. Staff were attentive and friendly.
An older building so had sone quirks but also some nice touches.
Well located we used the hotel for an overnight stay on our way back from Devon and a visit in the afternoon to Bletchley Park. It is set in the lovely Woughton Park and very close to the M1, which we found really useful for our continued journey home. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, quiet and relaxing. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful. Breakfast was buffet style and had everything you could need. Ye old swan is less than a 1 minute walk from the hotel. We had our evening meal there and the atmosphere was friendly, the staff lovely and the food really good. We had a drink on the hotels terrace which was likewise quiet. Lots of parking as you would expect. We would definitely recommend the hotel as a stop over and Bletchley Park which was amazing.
