Great location for me it had places to eat very near Very quiet and free parking I felt very safe there Had a fridge and microwave so suited me
Felt a bit dated but very functional
The property was close to enable us a visit to Bletchley Park . Quiet. Lovely view of house boats out our window.
It was away a little from restaurants. No breakfast . Dinner at adjacent pub the previous evening. Supermarket a 10-15 minute walk away was helpful.
Lovely hotel right next to the canal, nice view of the harbour and boats. Comfy bed, quiet. Nice to have a restaurant next door
Excellent value for money everything in your room you need couldn't fault anything great location would definitely stay here again
Nothing really for the price we paid
Rooms are comfortable,it is quiet to rest, beds are comfortable and good size. Facilities like little kitchenette supplies should be in all hotels!
Although dishes and glasses are appreciated it is not nice or higienic to see them washing them with just water in the sink if the bathroom that has been used for personal hygiene purposes and not even dish soap,if you book several nights or even just one I think they should properly wash the dishes and replace them not do that in a sink with people's saliva and hid knows what germs and sometimes I didn't even see them do it with hand soap, just water and the same sponge they carry for every bathroom.
Basic, but had clean bed, tea and coffee, hair dryer, iron and board. Free parking Attached to pub for food and breakfast.
No drinking water in room, although bottles can be bought from reception. The bathroom water is supposed to be drinking water but smelt a bit strange. Hair around bathroom sink. Pillows really lumpy.
Great facilities, modern smart Tv, fridge, microwave. Comfy clean rooms
Nothing at all
Staff were friendly, bed was huge and comfy, room was nice
Shower door was broken and held together with tape, our room faced the bins
No beer in the bar
Nice view from room of narrowboats Has fridge and microwave and some cutlery Comfy bed
Was warm in room, and noisy outside from maintenance/sanding going on doing up narrow boats under window. Also could do with net curtains or blinds as people can see you directly in room unless you have curtains closed all the time and lights on which make it even hotter. Small inconvenience for a nice place with ajoining pub for drinks/breakfast
Location was great, friendly helpful staff , the fact the room had a fridge and microwave, set in nice surroundings
Can’t g t think of anything I disliked
Spacious room Microwave and fridge included with cutlery
No lift
Had everything you could need
No lift and some of the rules weren’t suitable for our needs (no parties together in one room)
The room was spacious. Had everything you needed.
The rule about no parties wasn’t good as we had 3 rooms and wanted to be able to stay together for a while in the same room

The property was well below standard very old furnishings stains in carpets dusty single glazed
Staff were rude had a very genuine issue having double booked accidentally and they still charged full amount for both rooms £450 one night not even double glazed horrible services
Clean. Quiet. Friendly helpful staff. Good safe parking.
Uncomfortable pillows. Bit dated but good value for money.
Very pleasant stay as always, frequent visitors
Tried the carvery in the adjoining pub, very average Nd disappointing
Fantastic staff, great location and my first choice for business trips to MK.
.
Loved the location by the Canal..Restarant and outside space lovely.Rooms clean and an additional fan that was needed.
Hotel put up the prices because of a concert at the National bowl...I paid £250 for 1 night ..someone who booked it earlier paid £69 thats a massive difference..but to be fair so did every hotel put their prices up. Would definately stay here again but will book early if going to the bowl
Clean room and very friendly staff.
Everything
Everything
Room needed aircondition. Would ask for room on 1st floir next time. Felt a bit vulnerable on grounf floor. Im 74.
It was clean.
This is nothing more than a motel, for sure not worthy such a rate, for such locaion.
Location right next to the Grand Union Canal, with picturesque walks nearby. 40 min walk to the National Bowl Fridge with ice box in room was excellent for a relative who was diabetic Details given of local restaurants & takeaways, including right nextdoor with a microwave, plates, cutlery & glasses in the room. Large room. Great shower.
No air con, although not so hot when we stayed, so perfectly comfortable with a fan if we needed it. The bed although huge, was a little too soft for me. Fixtures & fittings a little dated but perfectly adequate. Good value on first night but x4 expensive on the second night (although in keeping with other properties on the night of the MK bowl concert.)
Great location for MK Bowl. Free parking. Shame some prat marked my car with their door
Car parking etiquette.
Staff where very good told us every thing we needed to know about amenities and area for food. Room was very comfortable and bed was just right. Good value for money and beautiful view of canals and boat.
Shower head was a bit dirty could do with some limscale remover as water came out slowly.
Lovely staff
Nothing all good
We liked having a fridge and basic crockery in the room. The room was very well equipped.
The staff at Peartree Lodge are the best in the hospitality industry! An extra special mention goes to the housekeeping and maintenance department. Their rooms are the cleanest and most comfortable in the entire United Kingdom. The clean windows are sublime! Thank you Peartree Lodge!
Nothing. Everytime I stay at Peartree Lodge their high standard is consistently brilliant.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a very good size and clean. Room had microwave as well as a fridge in addition to the kettle and provision of milk coffee etc. They also provided plates glasses and tea cups. Canal behind the building with the canal boats locked up and gate locked at night so not accessible after dark, but open in the morning and will hear voices by the window but only for a short time. The cost is reasonable. I will definitely stay there again and will recommend this hotel.
Voices when asleep by the window from the canal boats. But it didn't last long .
When we arrived, the staff on reception were very friendly and provided us with lots of information about the hotel and local food options. The room aesthetic/design had been clearly thought about. The room was nicely sized and comfortable. We would definitely return. Though separate from the hotel, the restaurant next door was good, and the range of food available in the full english was good.
The room was a little stuffy with the heatwave, as the window was a vertically moving one so airflow was a little hard to establish. But there was a fan in the room which did help. This is the only negative comment, but not in the hotels immediate control.
Neat and with good surroundings
Could do with a upgrade to card key
Very good
Nothing
this was a basic hotel which was fine. We just wanted a stop over as driving from London to Sunderland and we had been driving all day. It did the job
nothing
Clean, easy to find, easy check in and out
Great location. Nice and clean room.
No bath , only shower cubicle. Enough room in the bathroom to have installed a bath
Great location beside a Canal... beautiful scenery and really chilled location. There are lovely walks in the surrounding area, some take out restaurants and a pub is next door for a drink by the canal, which was cool watching the barges go by.
Having to go into the pub next door for breakfast, which was not very good
Next to the canal and not too far from the station
Very comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful too.
Nothing
Great buffet breakfast, clean rooms, next to lovely walks
They put on an even for reggaeland with a DJ, that was a nice touch as that was the event I was attending. It would have been nice to have received Comms about it via email as we would have attended earlier to enjoy it. Drinks were cheap and staff were friendly
Only bad comment is I think they have plumbing issues twice I found muck in our toilet, U flush it but it returns after a while
Staff were extremely helpful. Even came out to us to bring us a belonging we had accidentally left behind. Always happy to help
Convenient for our purpose Milton Keynes Theatre 1 night show
Hotel was fine , restaurant next door NOT the same company the roast was awful throw the yorkshires and roast potatoes of the walls Tanning far to long and veg not cover ,nor was the meat , turkey looked dried out. Breakfast cooked fresh excellant
Parking. Clean rooms
That there is no restaurant within the hotel
Close to pub, noisy, smokers outside of window, window ground floor opened to car park so not private feeling
This is the second time we went there because last time I loved everything the staff is really nice and helpful. The location and hotel is really good.
Clean and tidy, great room has a fridge and microwave. Breakfast good.
Nothing
The place was very cool
It was perfect for me
The hotel was a great find, the setting is lovely and peaceful but not too far away from the theatre and pubs. I would definitely book again.
No complaints at all.
Great location
The bathroom was a bit dated
Convenient, clean, comfortable.
In a slightly grotty area but wasn’t a problem.
No Aircon
Room was clean and tidy, and the fridge was a nice addition, don't generally get one in a lot of budget hotels anymore. Nice size secure carpark outside too, which is free for patrons of the hotel and pub thats attached to it.
Not much, was a little bit warm in the room but there was the usual fan provided.
The room met our expectations. It was well equipped. The staff at check-in were excellent and very helpful. The carvery next door was very handy.
Our room overlooked the car park, which at times was quite noisy. A room overlooking the marina will be preferred if we were ever to return.
Very well looked after by all the staff, very helpfull and friendly.
Close access to shops near the hotel.
everything
nothing to dislike
Breakfast perfect ,the chief did eggs the way I like them
Nothing
The room is equipped with a small fridge and microwave, which helped me to bring my own food to reheat for a short and regular stay
The room is smaller than the competitors
The room was so clean, fan provided, comfy bed, lovely balcony to sit in the cool evening air, reception staff very polite and helpful, fab pub attached, amazing walk along the canal and marina. Perfect.
Breakfast N/A Location excellent overlooking the marina
Liked everything, friendly staff all round very helpful.
Lovely location by the waterfront. Perfect for event at Stadium MK with Uber after midnight costing £10. Comfortable bed, slept well - no air con but fan provided. Quiet location, great pub next door for food and drink and even 5 minutes by car from Ikea. 😁
Air con would be a benefit. Rooms little dated but it didn’t matter at all, comfort and facilities like fridge and microwave in room, iron, ironing board made up for it.
Staff very obliging Just easy
Price, location, cleanliness.
Lumpy pillows and uncomfortable bed.
The room was clean and well stocked. The bed was generously sized and well presented. The lady on reception was very courteous and helpful.
Although we visited in a heatwave, which was beyond the control of the hotel, our stay was bordering on unliveable. The air circulation within the room was almost zero thanks to the inability to open the window more than a small gap. The provision of a single fan was not enough for a room with two occupants, especially when the room could also be used for cooking. As a result, we were unable to self-cater and had to eat elsewhere for the two nights. We also could not stay in the room to the high heat discomfort, so had to sit outside until it was time to sleep. Frequent cold showers and removing the sweaty, waterproof mattress cover did help slightly. The hotel is somewhat tired in decor and the freezer part of the fridge doesn't freeze anything. I'm sure it would have been more comfortable if the weather had not been so hot but it really was the most uncomfortable 2 nights I've ever spent in a hotel.
Good sized room view over marina nice to see some life Pub next door serves good food at a fair price Comfortable bed Cool room lots of fresh air Easy parking but has parking eye so log your reg number
Nothing
Ideal location for our visit
No Air con. No on sight cooked food and adjoining bar/restaurant didn’t open for breakfast until 9.00
Excellent location - very clean - staff super helpful
Nothing - all good - couldn’t fault anything
Good value for money. Room decor and fittings felt tired
Breakfast provided in adjacent restaurant was poor. Only cooked english breakfast avsilable with no cereals, fruit, fruit juice or continental options available.
I love the location and the view of the boats. Stayed a few times and will always return
Nothing
The staff are very friendly the room was spacious clean with a large comfortable bed over looking the marina. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
The view of the marina The shower The comfortable bed The fan
The coffee needs updating to more selection Noticed there was no do not disturb sign There was a lockable adjourning door with no sign on it No lamp side at bed
Great location, fab views and such friendly staff. Rooms are slightly dated but its such a lovely hotel and setting it just fits. Great restaurant too.
It was clean amd the rooms were a good size. The fittings may be a bit dated but everything is in the room inc a microwave / fridge / iron and ironing board. There is a restaurant next door for food.
No air conditioning and the curtains dont block out the light very well.
Suited my needs for location, and the view of the water was wonderful. Easy parking. Good quality linen and towels
Rather soggy low bed. Limitations of microwave use.
Room was great, very comfortable and mainly very clean (the carpet had a couple of long hairs in it but I only noticed because I was doing a workout on the floor!). Loved the location. And the member of staff on duty was lovely and very helpful when I queried the room I had been allocated (see below).
When I booked using booking.com, it clearly stated "River view". But I was given a car park view. This should be accurate on the booking system... or marketed accurately.
The Receptionist was very friendly.
The surrounding noise from people inside and outside, and the smells coming in at the window.
All of it
My only concern which is partly my fault I should have notified them of my extreme chemical sensitivity to all things airfreshner and odours. Makes me really poorly due to my health conditions, because the freshner sprayed was really really excessive had to put fan on open window and have room door open it dissapated somewhat but had to cut short my stay because it made so ill fortunately it wasnt on bedding etc if it was i couldnt have stayed .. So if you suffer same let them know !.... I would visit again
Location
Nil
The cosy and clean room.
That while I had not to long checked .A staff member tried accessing my room without knocking.I found that to be very disappointing and unprofessional.
Everything I expected it was there and at excellent price and quality
Everything was really good according to me.
Comfortable and well appointed room. Pleasant, polite and professional staff.
Nothing
Location was great
Rooms a bit tired but clean and comfortable
The mattress was super comfy. Really useful to have a fridge and microwave in the room, plus crockery and cutlery too. Lovely view of the marina and very central for everything. Good menu next door.
The Lodge & rooms were great, but the adjoining pub was out of stock continually until by Monday evening only about 3 things were available to eat or drink.
The pub attached to the lodge.
Awesome location and retro style hotel
The plentiful signs warning of drug use not being tolerated. I always think if a sign is required what has happened before to warrant this?!
Microwave and fridge in room was a really good option Lots of info on places to eat nearby from reception Lots of info on takeaways locally Room had plates bowls and cutlery ready to use so felt civilised even using microwave in room
Lots of paperwork on checking and signing to say you are not going to smoke in room and having to sign to say you agree Taking a £1 deposit on your card so they know it’s you and so they have your details if they want to charge you extras Having traveled a long way just wanted a room key so I could use the toilet
Next to restuarant / pub on the canal
Toilet wouldnt stop flushing / carpark view
Reception staff were excellent Very helpful
location by the canal marina close to town centre.
All good
quite old fashioned but clean and good value for money
Exquisite location with very easy access to motorway links and the local area attractions.Easy secure parking.Fridge and microwave in the room were a nice touch.Staff friendly and knowledgable.
Fine in present format.Easy booking and check in process.
