Good location

A disappointing stay. The hotel feels very tired inside and in need of refurbishment, and I found the service underwhelming. There were several basic problems with the room: the phone didn’t work, the shower wasn’t functioning properly, and there was an issue with the blinds. Even turning the lights off was unnecessarily awkward. There was no central switch to control all the lamps, so they had to be switched off individually or unplugged. Taken together, these issues made for a frustrating and uncomfortable stay. The hotel needs better maintenance and more attentive service. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

We love the spacious feel of the room and the luxurious amenities. Staff are welcoming and quick to provide excellent, professional service. The location is perfect and it's the only place we stay during our annual visits to Toronto.

There is honestly nothing we don't like about this hotel. We don't like leaving.

El personal es muy amable y servicial, en especial el conserje Xavier. La ubicación es buena y el baño es amplio y agradable, igual que el vestidor. Los productos del baño son muy buenos. Todo depende del precio que se pague, al precio de mi estancia es correcto, al precio de otras fechas no se justifica el precio de ningún modo.

La conexión a internet es inestable. ¿Por qué hay que pedir en cada conexión los datos? No queda claro que estoy cuatro días, no me pidas a cada rato verificar los datos. Para ser un hotel de 5 estrellas, se supone, no tiene muchos servicios de esa categoría. No hay una habitación para poder estar tranquilo leyendo, etc. Se entiende que al tener residencias y áticos más lujosos posee la categoría por esas otras zonas, pero la zona común es muy básica. No hay información de dónde se encuentra la piscina, por ejemplo. ¿Por qué solo se pone un albornoz? Si somos dos debe haber dos albornoces.

This hotel is a real gem in central Toronto. The staff were helpful and courteous. The room was enormous, heated floor in the bathroom with bath and shower, walk-in closet, massive television set, comfortable bed, complimentary water, tea and coffee. The pool and gym were inviting and never full. The adjoining café (did not try the restaurant) served delicious meals, some might say pricey, but you must pay for quality products. Parking right under the hotel. Nothing can be faulted. Top marks!

Absolutely nothing at all. Maybe the café needs to address their flies situation - I'm sure they are aware. Not a dealbreaker, the food was covered with either cloches or cling film.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing and did not meet the expectations we had for a property at this price point. One of the biggest issues was that it was not clear when booking that the residences do not include daily housekeeping. We specifically chose a residence expecting the same level of service as the hotel, only with more space. Instead, we paid more while receiving fewer services. We even paid extra for a housekeeping service during our stay. Before they came, we specifically asked them to clean behind the sofa because our 3-year-old son had been sleeping there. Unfortunately, that area was not cleaned at all, and even the dishwasher was left full. It certainly did not feel like a proper housekeeping service. Before arriving, we requested a mattress on the floor for our 3-year-old son, as he is too old for a crib and we did not want him sleeping in our bed. When we arrived, nothing had been prepared. Instead, staff later brought us a crib, but our son simply did not fit in it. Since no floor mattress was ever provided, despite our request, he ended up having to sleep on the sofa for our entire stay, which was far from ideal—especially considering we had booked one of the largest residences. We were also surprised by scheduled fire alarm testing shortly after our arrival. We had not been notified in advance; we only found a notice once we were already at the property. The alarm woke our son from his nap. The staff were kind enough to stop the testing temporarily, and we appreciated that, but had we been informed beforehand, we likely would have chosen a different hotel. Access to the residences was also inconvenient, with multiple elevators and a confusing route that made getting to the room more difficult than expected. The residence itself also felt dated. The doors did not close properly and the apartment generally felt worn rather than luxurious.

The fact not all our rooms were ready at the advertised check in time. After a day travelling from the UK having to wait for one of the rooms was frustrating.

Location is ideal being walking distance to CN tower, harbour and much more of the town. Easy secure parking, great gym and pool. Beds really comfy

I did not like that the gym opens at 8am during the weekends especially when access to the gym or hotel room is through a key card. Why is the gym not 24 hours like other hotels?

The Soho Hotel in Toronto was in a wonderful location in walking distance to all the sites. I absolutely loved the hotel with the wall of windows overlooking the city. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable. The SoHo had a small bakery and coffee shop next door. The staff also made my son‘s 20th birthday extra special by placing balloons in our hotel room and cupcakes for his arrival.❤️

Everything was wonderful!

Good hotel, perfectly located near by CN tower, nice rooms with enough space and comfortable bathrooms, very good service, special thanks to Mr. Aakash from front desk, as he did the utmost to arrange a more quiet room for us. The Gym is very well equipped. The only thing we missed was a kind of relaxing area next to the pool, it is quite basic, but good to have.

Fantastic location. Short walk to CN tower, aquarium, Rogers stadium. Lots of convenience stores, coffee shops, take aways and fast food outlets nearby 2 bedroom residence was fully equipped for our family of 4. Washer/dryer was so handy. Used the hotel gym several times which was brilliant and with good range of free and machine weights.

Used to live in Toronto until I married and moved to the US. The Soho hotel exceeded my expectations. The front staff is welcoming and efficient. Hotel parking is easy to navigate. The room is clean, beautiful and spacious. The bathroom is huge , beautiful marble with a separate soaking tub. We visited for six nights in July so didn’t need the heated floor. The room has extras such as a safe, iron and ironing board, and an umbrella. The bathroom amenities are high end English brand Molton Brown which I adore. The towels are very plush and a Turkish brand. What a luxury. We aye at Morettis for dinner and it is the only restaurant that cooks a pasta dish as tasty as Rome. I was shocked. Even the pizza pasta pub down the street JZys accommodated us for the soccer/ football games. Serenity spa on Wellington sells Skin Ceuticals - hard to find brand. All in all I felt this stay was preferred over my previous stay at the Ritz Carleton. We spent some time in the salt water pool ( had a few jets) as well as the hot tub. The ladies change room has a steam room. The gym is loaded with equipment and quite busy. I was really empresses with the welcoming staff. You have a corner drug store if you need anything as well as a dollar store up the street( cdn chocolate bars anyone?).

Nachts lief die Klimaanlage nicht kontinuierlich, sondern sprang alle 5 Minuten laut an und nach 5 Minuten wieder aus. Für eine Fahrt von 1 Kilometer vom Hotel zum Bahnhof wollte das Hotel einen Service für 45.-€ anbieten!

The bathroom

The television is dated and the remote did not work. There’s not much security. No one at reception and the concierge did not know who goes in the hotel. A key is not needed to go up to the rooms. Anyone can walk in off the street.

The cleanliness and easy of check-in was great.

I didnt know how to operate the landlines phone. Usually you receive a call and pick up a phone and it connects, but the phone did not connect. I guess you have to push a few buttons. Small issue but frustrating also. I was able to reach front desk via my cell.

I was charged 129$ for mini- bar drinks after leaving the hotel that I did not consume - I disputed the charge but they refused to correct the charge - beware and suggest before/ after photos of mimi- bar if you stay

The room was spacious and very clean. The bed, AC and blinds were so good. The staff were very helpful. Good location near CN tower. Many coffeeshops, supermarkets and restaurants in available in walking distance.

Very kind staff. Beautiful room. Celebrating husband’s birthday & the concierge, Khryzz, was one in a million. She went out of her way for us to feel welcomed & my husband was blown away with the attention to detail on his special day. Thank you SoHo hotel for a wonderful stay. Entire staff was amazing, from the front desk to the great job housekeeping did with our room. It must mean one thing: Great management! Love your hotel!

Alles, Studio war als Suite gebucht. Es gab kein Houskeeping, keine minibar. Klimaanlage hat nur das Wohnzimmer gekühlt, nicht das Schlafzimmer.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the most special trip. I came from Calgary and brought my mom to stay here before a concert. They made us feel like royalty and honestly made us feel like part of the family. We were able to get early check in as well so we could be ready in time as we needed to be at the venue before 4pm. We will choose this hotel for any stay in Toronto anytime we go, hands down.

It's not that we didn't like it, but we didn't know there were renovations happening in the hotel, but in no way did it have any impact on our stay so it's not a negative, we just didn't know

I felt like I was home, a great place. I really liked the gym, access to a lot of places, and close to the well.

Unfortunately, there were not enough amenities in the kitchen to clean properly the aluminum pan, so that would be great to have at least a sponge and anything that is possible to clean properly stainless steel

The beds are a little too soft and was disappointed that they did not split into twins

the room was clean modern and well equipped. anything asked for arrived within minutes. staff both friendly and very good at providing excellent service. you felt that they knew who you were and what your needs are. the food in the cafe was very good and again excellent service.

The staff was kind and did their best to help when there was a problem

The place is quite dated and old, things falling apart. The photos of the room are taken at the very best angles. Carpet was old and smelly, the sliding door broken in our room. There were used earplugs and q-tip in my room when I checked in. Everything needs to be refreshed refreshed.

We were upgraded to a suite and it was amazing and extremely comfortable. The staff on arrival and departure were very helpful.

- At the residencies there is cleaning service only once per week which was not mentioned in booking. Thus, every time we needed toiletries and clean towels, we had to call at the reception and ask for it. - The lobby is under refurbishment, and currently there is work in progress. It did not feel like a 5 star hotel at the entrance. - Next to the residencies there are also condos that other people are living and the access is not limited, which occasionally made me feel unsafe.

The property was beautiful and in a perfect location!

We stayed in the penthouse suite so it was separate from the main hotel, so our key cards wouldn’t work in the elevator or front door entrance

A acomodação é extremamente espaçosa e confortável. A localização é impecável, muito próximo da CN Tower e do Rogers Centre, casa do Toronto Blue Jays. A equipe do hotel é extremamente gentil. O serviço de quarto é ágil e as refeições deliciosas! Quando solicitamos uma das várias amenidades para o quarto, de forma a fazer uma surpresa para o meu filho, nossa expectativa foi superada! Decoraram o quarto todo proporcionando uma grande surpresa e felicidade!! Além de que incluíram cupcake visto que o motivo era comemorar o aniversário, além de um cartão de felicitações! O serviço de concierge para a realização de um day trip para Niágara Falls foi impecável! E tb teve uma deliciosa surpresa ao chegar no quarto, agradecendo por ter escolhido o hotel para organizar o passeio. Em suma, SUPER recomendamos o hotel! Com certeza se retornamos a Toronto esta será a nossa escolha!
