Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Great downtown location, very good gym and excellent swimming pool and spa facilities. One bedroom suite comfortable and spacious.
Reception area very busy and open with no quiet lounge.
Well situated in Toronto. Easy walking around the country city
It’s so easy to miss the hotel sign
The location was brilliant.
The pool, sauna and jacuzzi were ok but expected more from a 5*. The staff were not overly friendly to us.
Very nice and wonderful staff

The hotel needs and upgrade. The restaurant Bosk has worn chairs. My room was a disaster - ripped carpet, cracked tiles, stain on chaise and in the bathroom. Having stayed just the week before at the 4Seasons, you can't compare the 2. Staff, service and cleanliness all needs an upgrade at the Shangri-La.
Our stay at Shangri-La Toronto was, without question, the best hotel experience of our entire trip through Canada. Travelling as a large family, our preferred room configuration was particularly challenging. The Managers on Duty and Front Desk team went far beyond what we could reasonably have expected to make it possible. They didn’t simply respond to requests – they anticipated needs, found solutions and consistently made us feel that our family’s comfort genuinely mattered. The restaurant team deserves equally high praise. The warmth and attentiveness of the ladies looking after us was exceptional. They seemed to anticipate our wishes before we even had to ask. Combined with outstanding food and an excellent selection of fresh and healthy choices, dining here was a pleasure every single time. What impressed us throughout our stay was the mindset of the entire team: a genuine willingness to think beyond the immediate request. That is what distinguishes true luxury hospitality from simply staying in a luxury hotel. Shangri-La speaks about “hospitality from the heart.” At Shangri-La Toronto, we experienced exactly what those words are meant to represent. And three five deserve our very special recognition: Mr. Penny Leung, Mr. Demeko and Mr. Alex. Beyond simply being wonderful people, they are EXCEPTIONAL ambassadors for what the Shangri-La name should represent. Their genuine warmth, commitment and willingness to go beyond expectations turned an excellent stay into one our family will remember. Shangri-La Toronto didn’t just meet our expectations of a luxury hotel – it showed us what luxury hospitality should feel like. We would return without hesitation.
We returned to Shangri-La Toronto for the final two nights of our trip to Canada, and our second stay confirmed everything we had already come to appreciate about this hotel. Travelling with five children can make even small details important, and the team made everything feel remarkably easy. A very special thank you goes to Perry, the Manager on Duty, who took care of our booking and room arrangements from the beginning. He handled everything with great professionalism, flexibility and genuine kindness. We felt truly welcomed back, and his willingness to find solutions made a real difference to our stay. At breakfast, Nahee was exceptional. She was constantly attentive, remembered the little things and somehow always seemed to notice when something was needed. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. It was exactly those small details and her consistently positive attitude that made breakfast with our family so enjoyable every morning. We would also particularly like to thank Diana. Her warmth towards our family and especially our children felt incredibly genuine. She was thoughtful, understanding and wonderfully personal throughout our stay. Shortly before our departure, she surprised us with a beautiful handwritten note and a very thoughtful personal gesture. It was completely unexpected and a lovely way to end our time at the hotel. There are many beautiful luxury hotels, but what you remember afterwards are the people. Perry, Nahee and Diana are three of those people. Each of them, in very different roles, made us feel genuinely cared for and welcome. We left Toronto with wonderful memories, and Shangri-La was a meaningful part of them. Returning here already feels less like choosing a hotel and more like coming back to a place where we know our family will be looked after. Thank you for making our final days in Canada so special. We hope to return.
Outstanding as ever
I throughly enjoyed my stay at the Toronto Shangri-La. The welcome was very warm and set a great tone for the stay. The room was big and well decorated with good amenities. Spa was lovely as well, even with families attending it didn’t feel crowded. I think the best thing was the breakfast, we really enjoyed it.
We stayed one night at this hotel. I have no serious issues for our whole stay. The staff I encountered were mostly friendly and helpful and efficiently. The room was of good size and clean. We had a reservation for 3 persons in the room, but I noticed that there were only 2 bathrobes and 2 pairs of slippers when we arrived. However, the missing items were delivered within minutes of my call. We had breakfast the next morning. We found that the duck congee was bland and the price of the congee with 3 pieces of dim sum and 1 piece of Chinese donut was a bit on the high side.
Our family's stay at the Shangri-La Toronto was made truly magical thanks to Dean at the concierge desk. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make our trip special — the standout gesture was a customized Toronto Blue Jays cap with my younger son's name stitched on the side, so he could proudly root for the home team while the rest of us cheered for the Yankees. That small, thoughtful touch meant the world to him (and to us). Dean and Katherine also took incredible care in recommending restaurants for our family. Black + Blue treated us like royalty from start to finish, and the restaurant with the stunning views over Lake Ontario gave us one of the most memorable meals of the trip. Every recommendation was spot-on and clearly tailored to what we'd enjoy. Dean and Katherine's warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care turned a great stay into an unforgettable one. We can't thank them enough, and we'll absolutely be back!
This was an amazing stay. The hotel was clean, plush, and offered great service from start to finish. They also had live entertainment every night at its best. I had a strawberry matcha one morning and I kid you not. Elite. At its premium!
We very much enjoyed our stay ! Everyone was incredibly wonderful in making sure we enjoyed every minute of our time there! We will absolutely come back in the future!

The Shangri-La is easily one of my favourite hotels in Toronto, and I stay here frequently. The staff is always incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the amenities are top-notch. Even on the busiest weekends, everything feels calm, organized, and well managed. There’s a level of service and attention to detail that really sets the Shangri-La apart. Always a great experience and always happy to come back.
I stayed at the Shangri-La Toronto for a business trip and was truly impressed by the quality and elegance of this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding, with a warm and attentive team that made the experience feel special. The room was absolutely stunning — spacious, beautifully designed, and exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was a highlight, featuring a separate bathtub, shower, and private toilet room, creating a luxurious and relaxing experience after a busy day. The location is also perfect, within easy walking distance of many of downtown Toronto’s top attractions, shopping areas, and restaurants. The lobby bar has a charming and sophisticated atmosphere, perfect for a drink or a quiet conversation. I did not have the opportunity to experience the spa during this visit, but it looked amazing and is definitely on my list for my next stay. A beautiful hotel that combines luxury, comfort, and impeccable service. I look forward to returning!
My family met in Toronto for an extended stay to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. We couldn't have asked for a better trip! The hotel is beautiful, our rooms were all immaculate and staff (in particular Wendy!) went out of their way to make my dad feel special. The food at Bosk was great and the staff there were also so friendly/kind. This was such a memorable stay, thank you!
I am writing to share how incredible my recent stay at the Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto was, thanks entirely to the outstanding service provided by two of your concierges, Jorge Porro and Dean Voon. Prior to my arrival, I called the hotel needing help understanding the best ways to view and participate in the Caribana parade. Jorge took the initiative to thoroughly research the event and emailed me a detailed guide, going above and beyond right from the start. When we checked in, Dean welcomed us warmly and took the time to share fantastic local recommendations for dining, sightseeing, and navigating Toronto using public transit. Throughout our entire stay, both Dean and Jorge went out of their way to handle every request seamlessly—from hailing cabs and securing reservations to arranging a wonderful birthday surprise in our room. There was not a single question they couldn't answer or find the answer to. They made us feel genuinely welcome, comfortable, and at home. I will definitely be returning to the Shangri-La Toronto, and it is solely because of the extraordinary hospitality provided by these two outstanding individuals. Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts for making our trip so special! Mr. and Ms. Silva
Courtesy and Kindness in a Lovely setting. Good location forToronto sights.Room was spacious, excelllent laundry service. Staff took time to remember you and what you liked. Excellent therapeutic massage at Health Club.
Front desk and Concierge services were excelent.
Our family had a wonderful multi night stay at the hotel. Staff very welcoming throughout, even receptionist who checked us in and didn’t see us for four days still remembered our name and room number as well as details of our stay. Stayed in a Deluxe One Bedroom Suite which we would highly recommend, very spacious, two bathrooms, great city view. Pillows and beds very comfortable. WiFi worked well throughout. Food was excellent, really enjoyed breakfast along with evening meals via room service. Lovely indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna, along with cabanas with their own TVs. Great location in Toronto, we really enjoyed being able to walk around and explore. Thoroughly recommend this hotel to those staying in Toronto.
Our stay at the Shangri-La Toronto was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel strikes the perfect balance between luxury and genuine hospitality. I have never stayed at a hotel where every staff member is so kind, courteous and helpful. The room was beautifully appointed—immaculately clean, spacious and incredibly comfortable. The bed was among the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the attention to detail throughout the hotel was second to none. The location is ideal, with easy access to Toronto’s best restaurants, theatres, shopping, and attractions, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The amenities were outstanding, especially the pool, spa, and fitness facilities, all of which were impeccably maintained. What really sets the Shangri-La apart is the level of service. The team consistently anticipated our needs and made every interaction effortless and memorable. It’s clear they take great pride in creating an exceptional guest experience. If you’re looking for a truly five-star hotel in Toronto, I can’t recommend the Shangri-La highly enough. We’ll absolutely be back.
The service was exceptional. The staff helped us celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and gave us free champagne and even free dim sum whilst we waited for our duck to be prepared. The concierge was helpful and had lots of tips for things to do; he arranged our bookings for in house dining and nothing was too much trouble. The food in both Bosk, in house dining and the renown Chinese restaurant were exceptional. The Peking duck was to die for and the dim sum were exquisite. I could not recommend it more. There was a wedding scheduled for that weekend and they moved us to a junior suite in the 11th floor simply so we would not be disrupted by the celebrations.
My wife and I spent 4 nights total CAD $3,500 for first time visit to Toronto. Checked in early (which was nice) & assigned to disability room on 7th floor because early check in (was informed disability -no bath tub, which was OK for us). Which was NOT OK, every night there were extremely loud sirens multiple times which interrupted our sleep. Should have complained and switched rooms, but didn't because of hassle and thought it was a just bad night and wouldn't be so bad the next time. Was wrong and should have switched after first night. Be warned.
Chambre très soignée et confortable. Piscine agréable. Personnel aux petits soins. Situation idéale pour visiter Toronto.
We had a great birthday staycation , thanks to Perry, who had arranged everything prior to our arrival, including an upgrade to a one bedroom suite. The staff were all friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend this hotel!
Just a wonderful property with fabulous rooms and staff. Could have been more helpful and accommodating.
All good - could have had an outdoor pool but that’s the only change I would make
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other travelers should be aware of our experience. Our team booked multiple rooms at the Shangri-La Toronto while in town for business. We chose this property because of its reputation as one of Toronto’s premier luxury hotels. Unfortunately, one of our most senior clients woke up to multiple centipedes in his room—including two in his bed and another on the floor. Needless to say, this was incredibly unsettling, particularly at a five-star property. I have photos and will try to attach. To the hotel’s credit, they moved him to another room immediately. The disappointment came with the hotel’s response afterward. When I spoke with a manager to discuss what had happened, the conversation was surprisingly defensive. Rather than acknowledging how upsetting the situation was, I was given explanations about why the centipedes may have entered the room. The initial offer to make things right was dessert delivered to the room. After expressing that this didn’t feel appropriate, the offer became a CAD $300 credit that could only be used at select outlets—not the spa, not the hotel’s signature restaurant, and not even the coffee bar—or alternatively, breakfast. For a guest who woke up to bugs in his bed, this simply did not feel like an appropriate level of service recovery. I understand that insects can occasionally find their way into any building. What separates a luxury hotel from the rest is how situations like this are handled. In this case, the lack of empathy and accountability was far more disappointing than the incident itself. Our company frequently books luxury hotels for business across North America, including Toronto. Over the course of this stay, our group spent approximately CAD $30,000 with the Shangri-La between accommodations and food and beverage. Given that relationship, I was surprised not by the incident itself, but by how little urgency or empathy was shown in resolving it. I sincerely hope management uses this as an opportunity to improve both their pest prevention efforts and, more importantly, their approach to guest service when something goes wrong.
The room was beautiful and comfortable. Staff was amazing from the moment we walked in.
Very good
good
The bathroom
The room was old
This hotel was amazing. When we checked out our car to go enjoy the night, it must've triggered that we were not in the room, so the staff entered our room and straightened the entire room and had the bed and clothes folded ready for us when we go back. Just top notch service.
Excellent hotel in the centre of Toronto. Beautiful rooms, wonderful staff & service and very cool drinks lounge. We loved the live music each evening and the team looked after us so well. Lovely pool and spa area and fantastic food. Highly recommend this hotel.
Die hervorragende Lage und die stilvoll ausgestattete Suite. Auch das Bad mit Sicht auf den CN Tower war beeindruckend.
We stayed the first time at a Shangri-La Hotel and were overwhelmed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the elegance of the hotel and the great location right in the heart of downtown Toronto. We had a great room, very clean and spacious. A small technical issue was fixed instantly. Internet was fast and reliable.
Location, staff helpful and resolved issues quickly .
No information about spa pricing etc even though when booking a selling point is the spa . But as it’s run independently they give / have information about it .
The room was spectacular
I liked everything
The facility is amazing the staff treat you to well, the spa was so soothing I wish I could visit every day
I didn't like the fact that we had to check out 🫠
My stay at the Shangri-La Toronto was outstanding from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. The staff consistently provided exceptional service and made every effort to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is beautifully designed, with an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. My room was immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed, with luxurious finishes and a very comfortable bed. Every detail reflected the high standards that Shangri-La is known for. The location is also excellent, making it easy to explore downtown Toronto while enjoying a peaceful and refined retreat at the end of the day. What impressed me most was the level of care and attention provided by the team. Every interaction was friendly, professional, and personalized. This was truly a five-star experience, and I would highly recommend the Shangri-La Toronto to anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and exceptional service. I look forward to returning on my next visit to the city.
The lounge and the staff
nothing
Customer service was great and the rooms were pristine
Concierge delays. Understandable giving the high number of guests but a bother nonetheless
Room was amazing as was the breakfast.
nothing
Our room was impeccably clean, and was kept that way throughout our stay. All the extra bathroom toiletries were appreciated. We enjoyed the lobby lounge for appetizers, and piano entertainment one evening. We also had lunch there one day. There is a Tim Hortons a short walk away. Any staff we interacted with were very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
I loved everything.
Except traffic noise during the sleep.
We just spent a night here, at the Shangri-La Toronto, not our first stay and certainly not our last! The service, accommodations, atmosphere and location are second to none. The rooms are beautiful, immaculate and always in like new condition. The service, from pulling up to valet, check in, house keeping, the lobby lounge and bar, the restaurant, literally everything is incredible. The central downtown location as well is by far the best you can get in Toronto. Thanks Shang, for another amazing stay, we will be back!
This was a staycation with flair. Went for high tea and massage. Stayed two nights and enjoyed some family R&R
Hands down the finest service I have ever experienced at a hotel. From the valet to the concierge- everyone in this hotel cares about bringing high service to their guests. I was here for one week due to business but am planning to come back to Toronto from the U.S. just so my family can experience this high level of hospitality.
Great check-in process from Valet to Room. The bell hops were very accomidating of our little dog & provided him with a bed/water bowl. Room Service was very fast to bring up items & the bed was a claud to sleep on .
The in room menu was a little expensive. The windows were not very clean from the outside for the view.
I recently stayed at the Shangri-La for a few nights on a business trip, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. What stood out most was the staff. They didn’t just greet me professionally, but with genuine warmth and care. Upon arrival, they even took the time to personally walk me through the property and highlight everything it has to offer, which made settling in effortless. After long days of work and travel, returning to my room felt like stepping into a luxury vacation. The space was beautifully appointed, and the thoughtful extra amenities truly elevated the experience and made me feel valued as a guest. This stay struck the perfect balance between business and comfort. I’d absolutely recommend the Shangri-La to anyone looking for a refined, welcoming place to stay, whether for work or leisure.
Location: Convenient to downtown/financial district. Fair amount of walking to visit any tourist or shopping spots. I stayed there for a convention, which was an easy 10-15 min walk. Union station with UP Express is similarly close for an easy ride to/from the airport. Bedroom: Modern & clean. Outlets are mostly at the desk and one side of the bed. Lots of storage. Comfy bed. But, noise from the walk signal or revving cars and unending sirens and weekend protests are very loud on the 9th floor and disrupted relaxation/sleep. The common areas of the hotel are insulated from street noise and suggest the noise could be mitigated. Bathroom: Spacious and plenty of marble. The marble lends itself to noise above you if someone walks around early morning with heels. The toiletries brand are poor quality. The shampoo especially leaves your hair feeling oily. Shower: The shower/tub room had no issues draining. The tub could be a bit bigger. Pros: Convenient location. Pretty room. Cons: Service was inconsistent & sometimes inattentive. Service during afternoon tea was especially slow. Breakfast was similar. But the worst part was the noise. The lounge was loud from speakers that need to be turned down a bit. And the room was filled with echoing cars, sirens, and protests. Even when the streets are quiet in the early morning, you here upstairs guests clicking around the marble floor with their heels.
Everything was amazing
Clean location
We had a fantastic holiday, made truly special by the incredible concierge team—especially Dean. From the very start, even before we arrived, he went above and beyond. We emailed ahead to ask for recommendations and help booking a teppanyaki restaurant, and he absolutely delivered with a perfect choice that set the tone for the whole trip. Throughout our stay, Dean took the time to really understand our tastes and preferences, recommending activities and restaurants that suited us perfectly every time. What stood out the most, though, was how he made our 6-year-old daughter feel so special. He always went that extra mile to engage with her and make her feel included, which meant the world to us as parents. When your child is happy, everything about the trip becomes easier and more enjoyable—and that’s exactly what Dean helped create for us. His warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made a huge difference to our overall experience. Thanks to Dean and his team, our stay wasn’t just great—it was truly memorable. We couldn’t have asked for better service and would return in a heartbeat.
Beautiful hotel in a great location , staff are super helpful and friendly. Really loved our stay here .
Overall experience was great
I liked the bathroom
The breakfast
We visited for a small 2 night city break- The Hotel is located right in the middle of Downton Toronto so very conveniently located. The facilities are excellent. I had requested a room with a good view and we were given one on the top floor with a view of CN Tower!. The room is spacious, comfortable, modern with a spacious bath. The staff were absolutely wonderful- The concierge was able to accomodate all requests. I actually got sick during my stay and they were able to arrange a doctor to come into the room for a checkup. Theres an excellent valet service if you re parking your car there as well. We used room service and in room dining quite a bit too. There is an evening turn down service too. The room amenities are modern- e.g drapes and shears that open and close at the touch of a button.Altogether wonderful experience and very much recommended!
While the staff and in room dining experience was wonderful, the food items tended to be somewhat bland- Perhaps just not our palette/taste.
The hotel and the staff were first class. The staff was able to accommodate any requests we had and was very pleasant helping us. The rooms are clean and spacious.
Valet price a bit too high.
Everything! Bedsheets, beds, pillows, bedrooms, little details, pristine clean rooms
Nothing
My partner and I stayed at this hotel from March 12–15, booked through American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts (FHR). The hotel itself was lovely — the room, pool, and overall property were very nice. We also enjoyed the food at Bosk and the lounge. Unfortunately, the only issue we experienced was confusion regarding the complimentary FHR breakfast credit. Throughout our stay, different staff members provided completely different information. When we checked in, the front desk staff told us that any unused breakfast credit would roll over during our stay, meaning the full $336 total ($112 per day) could be used for breakfast at any time while we were there. When we later ordered in-room breakfast, another staff member told us that the credit could even be used for in-room dining throughout the day. However, on our third day, a different staff member informed us that the credit would not roll over. Because of the earlier misinformation, we hadn’t used the full credit on the first day. That staff member acknowledged the misunderstanding and told us that a credit would be applied to correct the situation. At checkout, we noticed that the credit had not been applied. I raised the issue with another staff member (an Asian male) at the front desk and explained the entire situation. Unfortunately, he was quite dismissive and questioned why we would receive the credit, despite the explanation. His attitude was rude and he initially refused to correct the issue. Eventually, his supervisor stepped in and resolved the matter, and the credit was finally applied. Aside from this experience, the rest of the staff were very kind and welcoming, though it seemed many were not fully familiar with the FHR benefits and policies. If you are planning to stay using Amex FHR benefits, I would personally hesitate to recommend this hotel. The confusion around the benefits created unnecessary hassle and took away from what should have been a relaxing stay. There are many other hotels in the area where you can likely enjoy the Amex FHR perks without the inconvenience.
Location was walking distance to most attractions. Staff was friendly. The hotel lobby is beautiful and clean.
I have no complaints.
Stayed a number of times… this time was not the best experience. Coffee table damaged my designer purse (it was sticky and part was left on the table. Felt like it wasn’t dealt with properly (offered a hotel voucher). For a $1600 purse … I expected some empathy. Cleanliness of room could have been better. There was a clump or hair on the carpet and a piece of food under chaise in bedroom.
The best ever
My partner and I stayed at the Shangri-La for Valentine’s Day and had such a beautiful experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is elegant, calm, and luxurious — the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. A very special thank you to Demeko and Dean for their incredible attention to detail. They truly went above and beyond to make our room absolutely perfect for our arrival. So many thoughtful touches made the whole stay feel extra special. We also want to give a shout-out to Ben in the lobby lounge bar. His cocktails were delicious and beautifully crafted, and the lunch service was just as impressive. He made us feel so welcome and taken care of. All staff who played an integral part in our stay truly made all the difference. Overall, a flawless Valentine’s stay. We can’t wait to return! 💕
First stay for my wife and I at the Shangri-La in Toronto for a three night stay. Was checked in by Andre K who set the standard for our stay. He offered us a late check out right off the bat as well as an upgrade to a beautiful room looking out to Queen’s Park. The level of detail in the hotel are unmatched even by other luxury hotels in Canada. The level of service was next level. It felt over staffed. The staff was always offering to help. The vibe was very resort feel. Bathroom products were hotel branded and high quality including soaps, shampoo, conditioners, and body lotion. The public lobby had entertainment throughout our stay - vibrant community feel. The pool area had public sauna, hot tube and steam room in locker room. Fitness facilities was very well stocked with free weights, cardio, smith machine and functional trainer. Benches were higher quality. There is no reason to leave the hotel. I will return without hesitation. Best hotel experience in my life.
Location was excellent and walking distance to the place we wanted to go. The Tiff cinema and the Luma restaurant. The rooms was clean and very quiet for a downtown hotel. The service was impeccable. Great service and very courteous staff. The Atmosphere was outstanding especially the lounge area with a live band on the weekend. The pool, hot tub and dry sauna was a bonus. It also carries a full size gym that would make any private fitness gym look over their shoulder.
Excellent gym and pool which was open until late (very much appreciated). Excellent breakfast at bosk, and we especially enjoyed the lounge music in the evenings - perfect for a nightcap after dinner.
Personnel attentif et attentionné. Cadre agréable.
Dans les chambres pour personnes à mobilité réduite, l'accès à la douche pourrait être facilité par la mise à disposition d'une chaise de douche mobile.
We love how Shangrila Toronto personalized our stay with the kids. Our room was provided with kids bed, kids snack, kids robe. Definitely the best hotel to stay in Toronto. We kept coming back here. Great food at the Bosk restaurant. Well curated Christmas drinks. It has everything we needed. There is a bar, with a band at the ground floor, and a great family restaurant
Excellent customer service and location was great
Room and hospitality were amazing. Andre K took care of everything and was beyond nice and accommodating. There were no misses on the stay.
Room was not cleaned to standards. Mattress had stains throughout and was disintegrating. Rug had stains. Hotel staff were very pleasant and kind. I expect much more from a 5 star hotel
From the moment we checked in to the hotel, we knew we were in for something special. The staff was warm, professional and genuinely attentive. The hotel room was immaculate, beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable. The mattress might have been the most comfortable I have ever slept on! We also thoroughly enjoyed the amenities in the hotel, including the Health Club. Anjelica at the Health Club went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We can't wait to return for another weekend getaway!
Second stay at this hotel. Rooms are s nice as you would see at a four seasons. Staff is attuned to your needs and ambiance is great.
Whenever I go to Toronto I always stay here. From check in, to room cleanliness and staff friendliness it's always a great experience. Conveniently located to Union Station and the UPExpress from Pearson Airport and to all other attractions. I always have a great stay.
It's always a first class, five-star experience at the Shangri-La Toronto. The property, the staff and the experience is always top notch. The staff their made my family feel like they were the most important guests in the world, even though I could actually note professional athletes and VIPs at the property at the same time - - they don't discriminate on status, every guest is just as important as the next. Our room was phenomenal and the kids loved the incredible skyline views.
Every time my husband, daughter and I stay at this hotel they deliver a truly exceptional experience. The valet team always set the tone straight away-they take our keys with a warm, welcoming, and incredibly efficient manner. Check-in is always impressive offering us a bottle water which is appreciated. The staff are friendly, professional, and they make everything feel like you are their first priority. The bar is always one of our favourite spots in the city. The atmosphere is vibrant, they have a live piano player and their drinks are always crafted perfectly, the food is absolutely amazing. Even our daughter who is 12 raves about the food and Shirley temples :) The rooms are always spotless. Every detail of our stay is thoughtfully achieved and the cleanliness of our room was flawless. My daughter lives the luxurious toiletries offered :) Overall, this is our special place to spend a weekend in Toronto. Amazing service, great food, and a vibe that makes you want to come back the moment you leave. Highly, highly recommend. We look forward to our time each time we come to Shangri La Toronto!
We absolutely loved the hotel and the staff! Clean, high quality, elegant. The staff went above and beyond making sure that our stay was wonderful, even helping my husband surprise me with flowers. I hope to be back soon!
Great location, near subway station, trains, easy access to Billy Bishop Airport. Lots of dining options and cafes.
Lobby and resto lounges are beautiful and nice experience. Service was very good. Room was just okay. In room dinning lacked options, menu was very limited. Didn’t feel 5-star.
Wonderful hotel spa with pool. Enjoy the lobby bar and wonderful staff. Location is great and seems very central to so many amazing places to go out to. Adam is great with hospitality. The hotel staff is so kind and helpful from before you walk in to when you leave, fantastic. ROOMS are super quiet and elegant as well as very nice beds.
Comfort and warm greeting and experience was relaxing, and we were well relaxed
We had a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La! The hotel is luxurious, elegant and twell staffed. The staff took such good care of us! Everyone went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The stay was problem free from the time we checked in until the time we left. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything that we needed. We enjoyed delicious meals at Bosk and the lounge. The hotel provides musicians in the lobby throughout most of the day and evening and we enjoyed sitting there listening to the music while enjoying food and drinks. The location of the hotel is great. It is near public transportation and has easy walkability. I am looking forward to returning to the hotel along with staying at other sister hotels.
I stayed at the Shangri-La this past week because I was attending to a family crisis. From the moment I arrived to the time I checked out, the staff was exceptional. Andre kindly and courteously valet-parked my car. Robert at the front desk was genuinely compassionate and professional. My room was lovely, a one-bedroom suite. The food in the Lobby was delicious. The hotel provided a peaceful oasis. This was not my first time staying at the hotel. The service I experienced this time was as exceptional as in past times at the hotel when I was travelling on business. This time, however, my experience reflected the staff’s genuinely caring response to a personal situation. I am sincerely grateful.
It feels as though the property has gone downhill in the past few years. While the rooms are okay, the clientele feels a little different. Way too many young girls with old men vibes in the lobby bar and couldn’t help but wonder how many of these poor girls were there voluntarily. It felt a little sleazy.
Great location and amenities. Enjoyed high tea in the lobby.
There was a planned power outage that should have been communicated prior to our check in.
Hotel is physically amazing and beautiful. Rooms are seemingly sound proof, no sounds of elevators, or hallway noise. All hotels should be built this way. Service level is high with personal touches by the staff to alway be friendly and incredibly attentive. Gym and pool are excellent and the lobby bar wonderful.
Great location, very spacious room, everything works (not a given in many 5 star hotels), great staff. Stromng recommendation!
On first impressions looked a little on the posh side for us. First hotel I’ve been too when you sit down to check in. Had a room on the 17th floor for the 4 of us. Lovely bathroom with jacuzzi bath overlooking the city. Remote control blinds. Double sink. Complimentary toothbrush, Comb etc. small box of chocolates and macaroons. Beds lovely and comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space. Cleaners paid attention to detail here! We spent a few hours in the hot tub, pool complex. Lady was so helpful and took us through the back way as maintenance were carrying out some repairs. Pool is an amazing size, but on the cooler side though. Nice sauna and steam room which we had pretty much to ourselves. All staff very helpful. Had an amazing stay thank you.
I had an amazing stay at the Shangri-La Toronto. Unfortunately our full stay could not be accommodated due to the World Series taking place but the remainder of our stay were superb. The hotel lobby is a standout feature, with live music and entertainment throughout the day and evening that creates a warm welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast choice was excellent, with a wide variety of options, and the lobby menu offered great choices for light bites and drinks. The vibe throughout the hotel is stylish and calm. Unfortunately I never got to use the pool area but from a brief tour it looked a fabulous spot to unwind especially after a day of sightseeing. The gym is surprisingly spacious and well equipped. Location of the hotel was super convenient, it was just a short walk from both St. Andrew and Osgoode subway stations, making it easy to explore Toronto or get around. There are also numerous eating places only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Really enjoyed the hotel close location to the Eaton Centre and all the stores they had to offer. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious laidback stay in the heart of the city. All hotel staff who we met during our stay were all so polite and friendly and really added our stay. They really do go above and beyond and looking forward to a return visit to the Shangri-La Toronto.
Lovely atmosphere, staff excellent except for one lady serving afternoon tea who was very slack, so busy chatting while our tea was getting cold while we waited for her to bring milk which we requested twice.
