It’s the kind of place where you end up getting into a power struggle with the staff. They never mentioned the late check-in fee beforehand and only brought it up while I was on the plane. When I checked in, I paid the HK$100 they asked for and simply mentioned that the policy shown during booking needed more information. They immediately got defensive, saying that other hostels charge the same late check-in fee and that they’re not a hotel. I had to explain that I wasn’t making a complaint — I was simply saying that this should have been explained beforehand. I had already arrived and paid the HK$100 they asked for without any argument. That’s it. I shouldn’t have had to calm them down over a perfectly reasonable comment. I’ve read the negative reviews, and the late check-in fee seems to be mentioned repeatedly, so I’m not sure if they actually read their reviews. The whole approach feels pretty dodgy. And just to say one thing: your prices aren’t exactly cheap for a hostel, and plenty of hostels don’t charge a late check-in fee. If checking people in is such a hassle, just use self-check-in. You’re clearly very good at putting up warnings everywhere, so you could put all the self-check-in instructions on the wall too. Even when I order McDonald’s at 3am, no server charges me a “late ordering fee.” If the owner isn’t properly compensating or managing staff for late check-ins, that’s a problem with the business — please don’t pass that problem on to your guests. The place is well-managed, but extremely strict. There are warnings and notices about extra charges everywhere. If you just keep quiet, follow their rules, sleep and leave on time, you’ll have no problem. But the moment you cross one of their lines, they become incredibly rude, and some of the additional charges are excessive enough to look like a scam.

You know when you order an uber and the only thing he says to you is hello and doesn’t speak a word to you again ? Thats the staff of the hostel, 10/10 haha

Convenient location. Close to both Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR stations. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to multiple shops and restaurants. Free coffee available. The rooms and common areas were clean. Good wifi signal. Good water pressure in the showers. The building has a lift for anyone with luggage. Though the hostel is near Tsim Sha Tsui, not much noise gets into the room from outside.

Some of the showers were out of service during my stay.

There was a problem with the AC on my first couple of days so the dorm was super hot but the issue was fixed and they apologised for it

Excellent value for money, located near several transport options and shopping centers. It was quiet and comfortable when I stayed and staff were very kind and helpful.

I had no major problems at all during my stay, if I had to criticize I would say it was a little confusing to find because there isn't much signage in the Lyton Building.

It was clean and quiet place. Good ambiance. Facilities are decent. Location is good. Close to MTR.

the room was very small for 6 people! it was very hard for us to open our suitcases as there was not enough space. I would recommend to take out one of the bunk beds to give enough storage space for everyone. plus no window in the room.

The hostel was cosy, maybe not the most modern but who cares, it definitely had everything I needed and was very social compared to others I've stayed at. I met a ton of great people to hang out with and the location was really convenient for visiting Hong Kong. Also, the free tea was a welcome bonus. The price of the room was also really good compared to other places in the city.

一人旅で利用。女性専用ドミトリーに2泊させていただきました。 初めての海外ドミトリーだったのでドキドキでしたが……(日本国内では何回かあり)個人的にはおしゃれで清潔で快適でした。部屋に入るためにはカードキーが必要だったので、安心して過ごせました。拙い英語でしたが(ほぼ単語レベル)宿の方も親切でフレンドリーでした。 共用スペースが素敵空間で、窓から見える香港らしいビルや街並みも、ローカル感があって楽しかったです。 ベッド下には大きめのカゴの荷物入れ(100均などの南京錠を持参すると施錠出来て良い)もあってありがたかったです。 共用スペースにもシャワーとトイレはありましたが、部屋にもあったので便利でした。 かなりハードな移動の多い旅になったのですが、駅からも近く、近所には飲食店が多数あったので、朝食や夕食時にも探す手間が省けて便利でした。 チェックアウト後も荷物を預かって貰えたのと、冷たい水が飲めるウォーターサーバーが設置されていたのでありがたかったです。真夏の香港ですが、快適に過ごせました。 また一人旅で香港に来る際は是非とも利用したい場所です。 素敵な旅をありがとうございました！唔該！

Os funcionários da recepção super solicitos. Tive um problema com o pagamento e achei que iria perder a reserva, mas me atenderam na hora que liguei e buscaram achar a melhor solução. Flexibilidade e o serviço de pick up do aeroporto tornam uma ótima opção para lay-overs no Aeroporto de Newark.

Die Lage ist sehr gut und die Wandtatoos waren schön und liebevoll gestaltet. Das Personal war nett.

Hellhörig, sowohl Straßenlärm, als auch aus den Fluren. Die Duschtemperatur war schlecht einzustellen und der Wasserdruck aus dem Duschkopf ist gering. Handtücher wurden trotz 5 tägigem Aufenthalt nicht gewechselt, das Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt.

地點很好，往返機場以及到各景點都很方便，這次入住的是四人房(三人入住)，寢具及房間環境都不錯，因為不在交誼室旁，也很安靜，也聽不到戶外街區的聲音

房內的浴室是玻璃隔間，所以要拉浴簾遮蔽，浴簾有點舊且長度有點不寬裕，我還自己拿了夾子把2張浴簾中間夾起來. 避免開開，若能再改善就太棒了

Location is central and within walking to a lot of things like the nightly light show. Never really waited for the lift or a shower/basin. Staff were very friendly. A great restaurant straight across the road from it, is a bonus. Dorms were very social.

Bathroom and facilities very nice, the staff very kind ! And the fact that they can keep our bags was very nice as well!

The elevator and the building are very old and shoddy. Riding in the elevator is particularly scary as it’s very run down, but it works. However, this is not really the Hostel’s fault so…

the toilets weren’t cleaned properly because if you clean a toilet you should also consider cleaning under the fastenings and not just superficially also the mattresses are extremely hard

无聊去维港散步路程刚好，走路五六分钟的地方就有imax影院，旁边商场里吃的也很多，咖啡店也密集。 零食饮料休息室都很好，茶包很香回家就买了同款。

这次住的上铺的帘子并不能全部遮住床位，虽说和人对面对的地方都有遮挡。

Unfriendly. I stayed here as a solo traveler as it was advertised they do social activities but they dont. The whole place was run down and I found the people rude. The walls are paper thin and people very loud. To have a shower you have to wait for the hot water to heat up. For not much more a night I could've stayed in a decent place with a pool and a view where the staff are helpful and friendly. I discovered this after going to visit a newly made friend where she was staying. The photos are deceiving. Each room was advertised as being degigned by an artist but there is no art in my room just a pinned up blanket of a map. The room was so small too, it was hard to look in my suitcase which I had to store under my bed longways. I would suggest paying a bit more and staying somewhere nice.

was relatively clean, good Ac, great facilities, helpful staff pretty homely when considering it is a hostel. Pls note I was in a solo room just for myself.

The main thing is the charging of an extra fee for late check in. This charge is not advertised on booking.com and I think it is by design as they want to trap you. I paid for a room using non refundable option and when informed of this fee, I had asked for a refund as this charge should be transparently presented from the start. They refused despite booking.com stepping in and requesting a refund on my behalf. However both booking.com and the owner did not refund. I was forced to pay this fee as it was too late at this point to change things up. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH CHARGING EXTRA BUT WHY NOT JUST BE TRANSPARENT ABOUT IT. scummy business practices.

位置特别好！距离地铁站，公交站都特别近，去哪里都很方便。不管是公区还是房间内很干净，同时不管是晚上还是白天也都很安静充电插座带usb插口，床上也有小台灯，之后还来香港的话还会选择住这里

位置非常好，设施完善，并且整体而言很卫生。从机场坐城巴过来非常顺路，附近的地铁站和公交站也非常多，整体而言性价比之选

There is no place to hang clothes in the bathroom due to its limited size. The guard rail does not feel very safe.

The worst experience we’ve ever had with a hotel/hostel. No prior warning about a ‘late check-in fee’ until late that night when we were on our flight with no cellphone service. After a delayed flight we were stranded outside the hotel as they wouldn’t let us into the room WE HAD ALREADY PAID FOR without paying the $100 late fee upfront. We were left searching for an ATM at 1am in the middle of a thunder storm with torrential rain and lightning strikes. When we finally found an open ATM we had to put the $100 in a deposit box white they watched us on security cameras. Room was dirty and smelling of cigarettes. All round terrible experience. I can’t understand why they don’t have another method for late check-in like every other hotel?? Bizarre and a poor reflection on Hong Kong. Save yourself the trouble and just pay a little more for a nicer place that doesn’t treat you like dirt

Curtains are too short and do not cover the entire bed Areas cleaned with bleach which lingers in the room

Everything was available one would need in a stay.. even sleepers in diff sizes in bathroom or iron or portable chargers

The hostel is located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, with lots of options for food, shopping and nightlife. Easy to access from the airport as the A21 and A25 bus stops are really close. The best part about the hostel is its people. I met really nice people from different countries, the late night chats at the common area were really fun, it helped me even stay awake at night in order to not miss my morning flight. Had such an awesome time at thi hostel! 🤩 The staff were super friendly and always ready with a smile. My bed was incredibly comfy, perfect for crashing after a long day of exploring.

Es war ganz Inordnung für Hongkong Verhältnisse. Es wurde täglich das Zimmer gereinigt und das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Die Küche hatte kaum Austattung und das Geschirr musste im Badezimmer gespült werden. Die Vorhänge im Zimmer gingen nicht um das komplette Bett und waren nicht wirklich Zweckmäßig.

- Good location. - Very nice staff. - Comfortable bed. To conclude the hostel is very good for its price point but I would suggest getting a private room or less people room if you want to avoid the bad smell and the noise.

- it costed us 100 HKD deposit for a towel which we got back on return and extra 10 HKD cleaning fee - fair price. - the curtains around my top bunk bed were very short and I didn't have almost any privacy. Not all beds are like this but some are. - The room is not well ventilated and it had bad odor.

+ gute Lage + Supermarkt an der Ecke und in der Mall gegenüber ( wäre gut wenn das Personal auch einen Supermarkt empfehlen kann und nicht 7 eleven empfiehlt) + Flughafenbus hält an der Ecke + Sehr viel Info + Nett gestaltet + Strafe für Raucher, damit es wirklich nicht nach Rauch riecht

Franchement, tout était bien mieux que ce que je pensais. Je n’ai pas vraiment compris les critiques négatives sur cet établissement. C’était très propre, calme et confortable pour moi.

Ça manque d’un endroit pour les fumeurs mais bon, c’est tout l’immeuble qui est non fumeur et c’est très fréquent à Hong-Kong. Le fait de devoir payer 100 HKD pour mon arrivée tardive a 2h30 du matin, je trouve ça fort cher part rapport au prix du lit, d’autant plus que je n’ai pas bénéficié d’une nuit complète vu mon heure d’arrivée. Il faudrait peut-être réduire un peu ce montant.

共有スペースのテーブルクロスに小さくて白い虫が大量にわいていた。初め気が付かずにパソコンを置いて作業していたので気づいた時はとてもショックだった。また、これはたまたまかもしれませんが同じ部屋の人が音を出して動画を見ていて、民度が低いなと思った。

Extremely Disappointed!!! This is the worst hostel I booked in my whole life . I booked this hostel for 3 nights, fully paid online on Booking . Com. I arrived at night around 12 am next day in the midnight, the hostel was closed, and I had to call the owner, he was talking on phone said that, I have to pay extra $100 for the “late checking fee”, and he asked me to put the money in the mail box, that he can watch on CCTV camera, then only he will tell about, where he kept the key , I am not checking early, first time I heard of this, I paid $600 fully online, he was demanding more money, he is a money minded person, I was coming from different country, on a long flight, I was tired, I had flue and cough . I asked him, “can I sleep on the couch? He said No. He refused it, I had to sleep on the floor outside after paying $600. This is the worst hostel I stayed in my whole life. I had to sleep outside the door on the floor till 8 am next day in the morning till the receptionist come. The receptionist a Chinese Old woman, she was very rude. She treat guest as a trash. In her dictionary there are no welcoming and hospitality. She is running hospitality hotel services, But they don’t know the meaning of hospitality. This is one of the worst hostel and people here are very rude. This hostel is full of scammers, Scammers running this hostel, Please be aware of this trouble and Scam!!!!! The toilet and shower room are extremely dirty, the staffs are extremely rude and money minded.

Very loud (room window was facing the street) and getting really bright very early in the morning since the curtains cannot stop daylight. No eating or drinking in the rooms. Pricey for the value compared to the hotel I‘ve been to just days before.
