I was welcomed at the 16th floor, where the company has multiple floors with rooms. She offered me to stay on the 16th floor so check out would be easier. That was not premium lounge, but Ashoka hostel. The location is great, and the cleaning was perfect

The room was old..the shower fan was very noisy. The tap of the sink didnt work. Cracks in the wall. The doors in the next room shut really noisy. I had a family staying there who went to one room to the other, which made the doorshutting very noisy.. one day inreturned back, my door wasnt properly shut after cleaning..because my door was a bit jamming

Este comentario es para que las personas que quieran reservar este Hostel sepan donde se están metiendo. No es para menospreciar el lugar ni a su personal. Sino para describir el sitio tal cual es, ya que la puntuación que tiene en booking es una falsedad. Yo no leí los comentarios en profundidad, me quede con los 3-4 primeros que ponen y en mi caso ahí estuvo el error que nos hizo reservarlo, si hubiera leido todos los comentarios nunca abría dormido aqui. Todos los españoles lo valoran con un 1 (yo incluida) la mayoría del resto de los europeos lo valoran, de media con un 8 (flipante), y no se si el criterio de los europeos que se pueden permitir un sitio tan económico como este es el mejor para decidir dormir aqui, (teniendo en cuenta, por un lado el poder adquisitivo medio de los europeos y por otro que la peor pensión de España es el Hotel Palace en comparación con muchos de los Hostel económicos de Europa). Dicha toda esta parrafada voy a describir este Hostel. El Premium Lounge es un de los muchos mini Hostel que el edificio Chungking Mansions tiene repartidos por todas sus plantas (la guía de viajes Lonely Planet de Hong Kong, tiene una nota sobre este edificio y como me parecio muy curioso leerlo una vez que ya estaba aquí alojada, es la imagen que voy a adjuntar). Este en concreto junto con otros, se gestionan desde la recepción de la planta 16. Todo es horrible en este Hostel, la entrada al edicifio, los ancensores, los rellanos y escaleras (que tendréis que usar porque esperar el ascensor, en ocasiones, es desesperante), super super sucios. En cuanto a las habitaciones decir que son pasables en general, pero muy incomodas en particular, la limpieza del baño muy justa, la de la ropa de cama y las toallas también muy justa, puede que estén lavadas pero tienen señales de manchas.

Very tight and cramped rooms, long line for elevators, so you often had to wait for multiple elevators ride up and down before you could enter yourself. Sometimes up to 10 minutes just for the line of elevator going up.

I suspect I contracted legionnaires diseases here and have been in hospital since. The sheets were dirty and bloody.

Die Zimmer und das Bett könnte etwas größer sein aber ich wusste auch schon davor worauf ich mich einlasse für ein paar Nächte kommt man sehr gut klar. Am Aufzug kann es mal etwas länger dauern aber das hat mich persöhnlich nicht gestört :)

La ubicación era perfecta al lado del metro autobuses y en el medio de la ciudad con los mejores intercambio de moneda a bajo del edificio. El precio tan barato para tener une experiencia de los espacios pequeños y de la vida de la gente de por allí que viven en estos espacios. Por supuesto, si esperas una habitación europeana hay que pagar el precio por ella. Lleva una cuerda de 4 o 5 metros para secar la ropa y ya lo tienes todo. Hay secador de pelo, jabón y shampoo. Te hacen la limpieza cada día.

La entrada está en el 40 de Nathan Road a bajo del cartel publicitario enorme en 3D. Primero ascensor a la izquierda. Hay que hacer cola para subir porque coger la llave está en la planta 16 pero de vacaciones a este precio, no es problema y si evitas horarios de mucha gente, ni te enteras. Hay ventanas de lo cual, si ventilas cada día, evitas el problema de humedad que muchos hablan. A/c y ventilador disponible a demás de abrir la ventana.

WORNING: read the rest.It's a rainy Hong Kong, we're in a spy movie, and to tell the truth, we really are on the set of a film noir, a very beautiful one, actually. The title is Chunking Express, by the famous director Won Kar Wai. Which makes us live this whole experience with just the right amount of poetry.

Flashforward: We escape the hotel a day before checkout. Incipit: It's a rainy day in Hong Kong, we're in a spy movie. We enter a picturesque complex, where small businesses flourish, as does the mold on the walls. We take an eerie elevator and arrive in the lobby. A pungent cigarette smell and white neon lights greet us. The receptionist greets us with a smile; she must be used to Europeans as shocked and lost as we are. We arrive in the room. It was small, very small, we already knew that. What we didn't know was that it would also be dirty, very dirty. Small traces of past guests remain on the white sheets, resisting washing. The shower is one with the toilet, overlooking it, so you can shower and poop at the same time, and that's great, but it's less great having to be careful not to wet the toilet paper. Small insects crawl across the floor and mattress; let's hope they're not bedbugs. We Googled it, they are not. The view is breathtaking: in the small window of the building across from us, a naked man shows us portions of his hard-working body. We try to get out as soon as possible, but the creepy elevator seems determined to keep us inside this putrid labyrinth. We're forced to go down the stairs, and it's like diving into a sixteen-story ashtray. The walls are decorated with abstract sketches, but at the same time very concrete, almost human. We're outside, we're alive.

La fenêtre était très sale et donnait sur une toute petite cour. La literie avait l’air propre, mais nous avons vu un cafard le dernier jour, ce qui montre que la chambre (ou l’immeuble) est assez sale.

Shared rooms are quite small, with two beds squeezed into a single room. Still, in any case, the hostel is great value for money (given how expensive Hong Kong is), so it was a worthy sacrifice to make

Great location. Close to the bus and train. Could extend the late check out time for a small fee.

Lifts General fit out of the room was poor. Dirty. Had someone’s shoes left at out toilet. Air conditioning leaked and was duck taped together. Hawkers in the entrance. Very small. Room different to the photo and not as described. Charged extra to the $100 at check in. Unexpected cash payment over what booking had advised.

The room was nice. Small but comfortable. There is everything you need during staying at this guesthouse. Stuff is good also, they come and change the towels and the bedsheets. Good view from the windows, better than in many other rooms at this building.

There were some little defects in the bathroom. They are not worth of telling.

I was baffled by how they have such high ratings until I read other reviewers here say that the staff sneakily post 10.0 reviews using the guests' phones whilst "checking" the booking! The "suites" they advertise literally don't exist. Our group was split up into rooms that weren't even adjoining. The bedlinen had all sorts of unpleasant stains. Cockroaches and millipedes everywhere. 5-10 minute wait times for the elevator. The location isn't where it says on the map, because they've listed themselves on Booking.com as about 10 different hotels in the same block - presumably so that when individual ones get kicked off the platform after too many complaints they can still sell rooms here, but it's all one operation. You're just as likely to get scammed booking from any other supposed hotel in Chungking Mansions Block A, because it's the same people running them all. And most criminally of all, when we checked in, they insisted we had to pay "hotel tax", which they refused to give us a receipt for when we asked. When I later checked my invoice, it turns out I'd already paid the hotel tax when I booked - so I raised a complaint over the booking.com messenger, and naturally they've ghosted me. I then read the other reviews, turns out they pulled the same stunt on other guests here. Please please Booking.com delist all these fake hotels run by "Delta".

The location is in a perfect position, close to everything! The place is tiny but clean. Abram at the reception was amazing!! Extremely kind, helpful and trying to do his best to make my stay comfortable and smooth..he gave me several useful suggestions about how to reach places I wanted to visit, what to do, what to see, where to go etc etc highly recommended if you want a place with a perfect price/quality ratio.
