Great staff ! I (female) arrived at 1AM and although the place a little sketchy, there were still enough people in the market on a Tuesday night so I felt secure and a kind of info desk to help you. The hostel is located in the 6th floor. The owner was waiting for me, gave me a quiet room and left. Cheap place, good for one night.

Not sure how clean it was…

Chungking mansions has its reputation for the chaos on the ground floor, but don't be stopped by it. The guesthouse itself is far from that confusion, it's quiet enough, clean, no strange smells or anything. And the staff is super friendly, kind and helpful. So you can really take advantage of the excellent position of being in Chungking mansions while having a good and clean room.

Of course the rooms are pretty small, but that has to be expected in HK.

Struttura super centrale a Kowloon, che secondo me è la zona migliore dove alloggiare per spostamenti e praticità. Camera non molto grande ma in linea con gli standard asiatici, io ci stavo benissimo con 1 zaino grande e due piccoli. (Viaggio stile backpacker) Tutto molto polito ed erano presenti tutti i comfort, anche il dispenser per l’acqua (fredda e calda). Bagno pulito, comodo e spazioso

Caotico il piano d’ingresso, per me non è stato un problema, ma reputo giusto segnalare che dovete procedere al gate E e da lì prendere l’ascensore che fa i piani pari sulla sinistra.

Nothing only the location

Very disappointing experience. We booked this accommodation in Hong Kong for two people and even paid extra to have two separate beds. We arrived early and had to wait until the normal check-in time, which we completely understood. However, what happened afterwards was unacceptable. The first room we were shown was extremely dirty. After we refused it, they took us to another floor and brought us to a completely different guest house, even though that was not what we had booked. The place was also very dirty, there were only men staying there, and my mother and I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. After we refused again, they finally gave us a room in another property belonging to their chain. The room was unbelievably small. There was barely enough space for two people to stand, and we could not even open our suitcases. We had to keep them either on the bed or underneath it because there was simply no space. The entire room, including the bathroom, felt like it was around 8 m². When you book and pay for a specific room for two people with two separate beds, you expect to receive something that at least matches the reservation and is clean. Instead, we felt like we were being moved from one place to another until we finally accepted whatever room they gave us. Extremely disappointing experience and absolutely not what was advertised. I would not recommend this place.

Madhav was an incredible host, we lost something on the bus and he helped contact and fill out the form to get our luggage back and we successfully found it!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat

Staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. The location was perfect, 5 minute walk to the victoria harbour. Room was small but comfortable and really quiet.

The hotel is super central. From there to most the places no need to use public transportation. The hotel was clean, the staffs were extremely kind and helpful.

The room I stayed was without window. So first night was not easy to get use to sleep there. The staffs may be a bit noisy in the mornings. And the walls are thin, you can hear snorings from the other rooms. Recommend to bring your earplugs.

Probably the nicest place you’ll find in Chungking mansion: I had a private bathroom, quiet clean room, no bugs, and 6th floor is ideal for not waiting for the few elevators. I didn’t personally experience any of the horror stories you may hear but your experience may vary at other places in this building.

The ground floor and elevator up feel dingy and congested—I wouldn’t bring a family here but perfect for solo travel

Had an amazing stay at the property. JP was very professional and Cordial and helpful. Looking forward to return to this property sometime soon

The staff, especially JP, assisted us all through out! We had no problems (aside from power overload). But overall, it was great! Whatever you need or guide in HK, just remember, JP is there to give a helping hand.

We may have some issues with the power overload which causes outage but JP have us instructions on how to handle it.

Location was perfect easier to get public transport, food and money exchange I got the good rate.

Well room was small, air conditioner was working fine for the first few days but then it didn't work alright no cool air so had to use the fan.

Da ich die Unterkunft schon mehrmals in der Vergangenheit gebucht hatte waren meine Erwartungen nicht hoch und wurden vollstaendig erfuellt bzw uebertroffen. Haarfoehn, Steckeradapter, gemuetliches Bett und saubere Bettwaesche vorhanden

インド人が経営する店が１階に100軒以上集まっている重慶マンションという怪しげな雰囲気の巨大なビルの2階以上に300〜400軒以上あるゲストハウスと称する安宿の一つ。インド人運営する宿です。場所がチムサツイにあり物価が日本より高い香港なので料金日本円で１万1000円の料金で部屋が極端に狭いのは、致し方ないのかもしれないけど、シャワーからお湯が出ないのには参った。ハンドルを一番熱くなるところまで回してもぬるま湯より冷たい水しか出ないのでお湯の給水機から熱いお湯を茶碗に汲んできてタオルに浸しからだを拭きました。1階が巨大な迷路になっていて、上に通じるエレベーターホールがいくつかあるんですが、10以上あるエレベーターのうちDのエレベーターに乗らないとホリデーゲストハウスにはたどり着けません。近くにホリデーインがあるので、道行く地元の人たちにホリデーゲストハウスとハッキリ発音して場所を聞いても、ホリデーインへのいき方しか教えてくれないので、2時間以上、トランクを引きづりながら、汗だくでうろうろする羽目になりました。重慶マンションの前で客引きをしているグループの一人に尋ねたら、ようやくこのインド人版の九龍城みたいなビルのなかにあるのがわかった次第です。エレベーターで一緒になった人たちとけっこう話したけど、グジャラート、ラジャスタン、西ベンガルからきたインド人が多かった。それ以外では東南アジアの華僑っぽい流暢な英語を話す若い女性とか、タンザニア人の初老の男性とか、でした。

It’s in a central position. The staff were so nice. We arrived after midnight and even left our stuff. They were very accomodating.

We found it pretty quickly but it is inside a wet market. The room is also really small but it is typical of Hong Kong.

Chungking mansions has a reputation but this place was actually a nice surprise. Was great value for money and definitely went beyond my expectations.

Na plus stosunek jakości do ceny, w centrum za taką cenę nie ma co wymagać, druga sprawa dobra lokalizacja niedaleko metra i centrum miasta. Obsługa całkiem miła, tutaj też nie ma co się przyczepić.

Klimatyzacja była opcja włącz/wyłącz nic więcej, druga sprawa strasznie buczała/bardzo głośno chodziła podczas pracy i ciężko się spało dodatkowo cały czas coś na nią kapało z górnych pięter co dodatkowo utrudniało już ciężkie zaśnięcie/spanie. Kolejny minus łóżka, przy moim wzroście (188cm) stopy wystawały mi poza łóżko. Następnie w pokoju były małe mróweczki które chodziły po ścianie. Ostatnie wejście do budynku to była istna masakra pełno lokali z jedzeniem itp, smród niemiłosierny w niektórych miejscach.

Ein klasse, zwar kleines, aber effizientes Zimmer mit Kühlschrank, TV, Klima, eigenem Bad und WLAN in einem 'interessanten' Gebäudekomplex. Für den Preis gerne wieder.

Leider was laut mit Türen zu knallen und dem unsauberen Umfeld. Zimmer klein, aber für eine einzelne Person unter 1,8 m groß und bequem genug.

To my biggest surprise the apartment was cozy and clean.

The neighborhood is a little bit dodgy and the guesthouse is hard to find. But once you manage to get there you won’t have any problems next time.

La file d'attente pour accéder aux ascenseurs n'est pas très pratique et reste très variable suivant les horaires. Le prix est quant à lui élevé pour une chambre de cette taille.

Perfect place if you search for something but clean and welcoming at low price. The room's dimension is what i expected for this price and this location. The people at the reception are nice , they also kept my luggage after the check out. Perfect for a solo traveller staying here just a few nights, I recommend.

I owner asked me to msg him on whatsapp . When i asked him for directions or the easiest way to his place he advised me to get the bus . I said i would rather get the train can you let me know what stop to get off and he just stopped answering my questions . What type of guesthouse owner refuses to tell me directions to the place i have booked ?

Save yourself time and money and DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE . The owner is nasty and unhelpful . I honestly dont know what i was thinking trying to book this place .

The way to the hotel through the building isnt nice. Very stinky especially if you take the shortcut. Sometimes you cant take the elevator because its full and the staircase is really dirty.

V první řadě bych chtěla ocenit mimořádnou laskavost a ochotu majitele, JP. Dorazila jsem vyčerpaná a vystresovaná, protože můj kufr zůstal v Pekingu. JP mi byl neuvěřitelně nápomocný a udělal maximum, aby mi pomohl. Ze svého mobilu volal na příslušná místa, abychom zjistili, co se stalo a kdy mi bude zavazadlo doručeno. V ubytování jsem strávila 6 nádherných nocí. Poloha byla skvělá – přímo v centru všeho dění, úplně na metru a na zastávce přímého autobusu na letiště a jen kousek pěšky od pobřežní promenády. Bydlela jsem postupně ve dvou pokojích. Byly sice malé, ale velmi čisté, vybavené příslušenstvím, ventilátorem, klimatizací, lednicí a velmi pohodlnými postelemi. Na chodbě byla také k dispozici teplá i studená pitná voda. Se svým pobytem jsem byla velmi spokojená.

La ubicación es perfecta , a un paso del paseo marítimo y cerca a Central , es un edificio que es un mercado , venden de todo . Cuando recién llegue tuve algo de temor , pero es tranquilo ,.eso si , siempre hay movimiento , pero es seguro .

La habitación era muy pequeña , pero no le di importancia , estuve 6 días , 5 noches , ningún día limpiaron , ni la basura la retiran . Encontré una cucaracha y me dió mucho asco , después me empezó a picar las piernas , pensé que eran mosquitos , pero no , mis piernas cada vez tenían más puntos rojos y me picaba mucho , resulta que eran chinches de cama , lo pasé fatal , porque tenía que seguir mi viaje y solo pensaba en los chinches , que me llevaba los chinches para casa , estuve muy inquieta y solo rezaba para que mi ropa no estuviese infestada de chinches . Todo puede ser pero ese hotel no tiene ningún tipo de limpieza y creo haber leído x allí otro comentario de las cucarachas , ese edificio es caótico y me parece que es poco higiénico .

Horrible place. It’s right above a market where when you try to enter your room you are barraged by people trying to sell you drugs. Once you get to the room you find it has no window and razor thin walls. Once you do make a complaint the manager decides to come to your door at 7am & 9am and refuses to leave until you take the complaint down. Booked for 3 nights and left after the second. I couldn’t not recommend it anymore

It’s very clean & tidy

When I was reading others’ reviews, I was concerned about the challenge of finding the Guest House. I did have challenge & that’s bcos I didn’t look out for the signs from the entrance. If I had taken a closer look when I walked in to the building, I would have noticed the clean signs of the various blocks! The other concern I had was the toilet when the floor gets wet when you shower. BUT I realised by the next morning, it’s already very dry. It’s well drainage.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect—super convenient and close to everything we needed. A huge shoutout to JP, who went above and beyond to look after us during our stay and treated us incredibly well. Fantastic service all around. Highly recommended!

Everything in this budget was perfect

The room is small but clean and they have universal plug for charging. Great location, close to many tourist spots. 1 minute walk to metro. The staff was helpful.

It's very difficult to find an entrance to this guest house. It’s on the 6 floor in Chung King Mansion. I did not feel at all safe walking through the building to find this hotel as a solo female traveler. The room itself is tiny.

lifesaver!!!! it was 2am and i needed a place to stay after a mishap with first booking. they took me in with such short notice. wasnt rushed during checkout such nice people!

La struttura si trova all'interno in un enorme palazzo adibito a mercato e infiniti alloggi/dormitori, non facilissimo da trovare, e' pero' in ottima posizione, camera un po' claustrofobica sia per dimensioni(va bene per una persona, in 2 ci si sta gia' molto stretti) sia perche' la vista dalla finestra da' su un retro non proprio bellissimo. Se si vuole spendere poco pero' e' tutto sommato una buona sistemazione, ad Hong Kong gli spazi sono assai limitati quindi o cosi' o alberghi piu' nella norma ma a prezzi assai piu' alti. Reception gentili.

O quarto é bem simples, as camas parecem modelo de maca de hospital rsrs mas até q é confortável. Mas o quarto não é tão pequeno quanto eu imaginava.chuveiro bom para o banho. Bastante tomadas para celulares, relógios e power bank. O prédio onde fica a hospedagem fica na rua principal do comércio

A entrada precisa passar por um prédio embaixo que tem uma feira e não tem cheiro bom. Muita gente nas entradas dos elevadores. No início assusta mas depois acostuma.

As negative, might be the complexity to find at the begging the block E, it might be good if in the instruction mention that it needs to be inside of comercial area. The time for elevator.

Me gustó la ubicación, llegué a la madrugada y me indicaron todo ese momento. Estaba limpio todo y está bien la relación precio (es HK todo es caro) - calidad.

No me gustó que la cama es un poco dura y venía un olor a comida de afuera, no es tan molesto tan fuerte pero hay ese olor.

Buena gente en la recepción, tienen ómnibus para llevarte y traerte a la feria de cantón, desayuno chino, para latinos muy poca cosa

To get to the entrance you have to go through a lot of shady shops and its always packed. Look for elevator E, it’s really at the back.

Bedsheets were dirty, people who work at the shops on the main floor harassed me.

Clean and nice staff

The staff was extremely nice and helpful offering great advice and help. Although small, the room has everything (aside from an iron) you might need for a short stay.

You need to be patient with elevators, which take their time as there are many floors they are serving. The internet connection is patchy and the speed varies from one day to another.

Location is perfect, the service is 100/10. He contacted me and told me the best and safest option to go from the airport to the hotel. I could let my luggage there at the end of my stay to explore the city for the last time.
