What a wonderful stay, I had at the Montreal Marriott. I mean, the views were spectacular from room. The staff was amazing and attentive. I can’t wait for the next time!

I didn’t care for my room service as my food arrived cold, but the positives out weighed that one little issue.

Very good city hotel. Comfortable beds, very clean, great city view. Whilst we prefer smaller hotels (especially in the Old Quarter in Montreal) we couldn’t fault this Marriott and the the excellent people.

Very beautiful hotel, with great view from our room and luxurious lobby. Breakfast was delicious, although more staff serving would be probably better for the overall experience (long wait for the table, not so many waiters). Room was specious, bed was the most comfortable ever.

Help with a luggage at arrival would be nice (outside stairs to the lobby).

Hotels used to put at least some effort into maintaining their rooms and providing basic amenities like toothbrushes and hair dryers in the bathroom. Now, even these basic items are often missing, and proper maintenance seems to be neglected. Everything feels old, worn out, and dirty. Considering the prices hotels charge these days, I honestly think it may be time to start looking at alternatives to traditional hotels.

Um dos melhores hotéis que já tive o privilégio de me hospedar. Excelente localização, quarto amplo, móveis excelentes, chuveiro maravilhoso, quarto equipado e com excelentes comodidades, café da manhã de cinema. Tudo maravilhoso!

Achei os funcionários da recepção um pouco frios na ocasião do meu check in, mas nada que atrapalhasse a minha estadia.

J'ai apprécié cet hôtel mais je retournais sur Paris et je n'avais pas de problèmes à être dans un grand hôtel. Quand on débute ses vacances à Montreal et qu'on souhaite quelque chose de plus typique, ce n'est sans doute pas la meilleure des solutions. C'est un hôtel très grand et important en nombre de clients et de personnels. Non le "petit hôtel sympa". Si on le sait alors on passe un excellent séjour.

Per una famiglia con due ragazzi la camera con due letti va un po’ stretta per la dimensione dei letti… Colazione buona ma migliorabile (le crêpes erano un po’ secche e non c’era un gran varietà di pane)

We had a very pleasant stay at Marriott Montreal. The hotel is located in an excellent area for exploring the city, and the room was very spacious and comfortable. We have stayed at 20th floor with a great view to the city, which was a bonus.

One area for improvement would be the appearance of the property. At first glance, the hotel felt a bit dated, and there was an unusual smell in the hallways that affected the initial impression. A refresh of the common areas and improved ventilation would enhance the guest experience.

Great location - nicely appointed and we had a high floor. Room was small for a family of four but we kept our expectations as such - our objective was location - walking distance to most neighborhoods. We used Uber for further distant neighborhoods.

Parking is private underground with no in/out privilege. If you go out then you reset and it again the full rate (outrageous actually). So we kept the car parked for the two nights and used Uber which was way cheaper for our use case…

We only discovered this historic hotel after visiting the city for 30 plus years. A real shame as it is a wonderful property that we have come to enjoy a lot of the time we visit Montreal now. That said, it has been recently renovated and those changes are what set it aside from a lot of properties. First thing to love is the location. Right in the centre of downtown Montreal but still with plenty of green space nearby. It is built, essentially above a Metro station which makes it super convenient for getting around the city. That is if you want to leave the area. It’s close to the Bell Centre and downtown shopping and dining. We often valet our car for the weekend and not look back. Being Bonvoy Elite members we had access to the Marriott lounge on the first floor for complimentary breakfast and hors-d’oeuvres. The selection and quality are always good. What is amazing is their commercial Nespresso machine that distills the most wonderful coffee options. Sadly we have not had a chance to try their bar or restaurant. The renovated rooms are bright thanks to the signature half circle windows. Closet and storage space are plenty. The bathroom in our room was a real treat with simple THE BEST shower we have ever had at a hotel (or home). Hot and strong at all times of the day. Truly a wonderful bathing experience. Our bathroom was also equipped with one of those modern washlet units that include bidet washing and seat warming. We opened the review by calling the building historic. Although it looks modern it part of Canadian Pacific Chateau history. Do yourself a favour and search on YouTube for some background. May help you appreciate the property more in our opinion.

The breakfast is not well served and serves are not often available. We ended up not having any food left one morning as the previous guests ate pretty much all food available. That day the guests were the sport club members and the hotel staff did not calculate how much food was needed to feed all guests for breakfast. The food and breakfast was not well organized for the money we paid around $370 for breakfast for 6 days

Zimmer war für den Preis ok, und sauber, leider für 3 Personen nur 2 Decken (da eine Decke pro Bett) .. haben wir dann aber auf Nachfrage erhalten Frühstück ist gut, Kaffee wie überall leider kein europäischer Standard aber sie bemühen sich es hinzubekommen. Zentrum und kann man zu Fuß erreichen Restaurant ist auch eine gute Küche

The property is beautiful and location is great. I picked this property because it’s been renovated and we have had great experiences at other Marriotts.

I had 3 issues. First, the lobby had a strange smell. Maybe it’s room spray? It smelled weird. Second issue, I think all properties should know how many people are staying at each room. We are a family of 4 at booking but only 3 bath towels were in the room. We called and got another one later. Second night and onwards we still had only 3 bath towels. We were too tired of calling again and my husband brought an extra from the gym each morning. Lastly, we didn’t check before booking was the pet policy. It’s my fault not the hotel’s. At previous hotels we were told pets cannot be left unattended but it was ok as long as they stayed crated. I had assumed this hotel had similar policy. However this property says pet cannot even be crated. We had to take turns staying in with our dog sometimes as it was too hot to take her out with us all the time. I wished I had seen the policy more carefully.

The location was excellent. We were able to walk easily around the downtown area, and Old Montreal was only about a 30-minute walk away. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. We especially loved the large arched window, which offered a beautiful view of the cathedral dome and made the room feel even more special.

The only issue with the room was the bathroom amenities. There was no liquid soap dispenser by the sink, and only one bar of soap was provided for handwashing. Having everyone use the same bar of soap didn't feel very hygienic. A separate liquid hand soap or soap dispenser would have been a much better option. My main complaint, however, is the parking. The parking garage has a very poor ramp design. The hotel parking is located on Level P5, and the ramps are extremely tight, requiring you to drive very slowly and carefully to avoid scraping the walls or curbs. It can be especially challenging for larger vehicles. On top of that, the parking fee of $36 per day is quite expensive.

We stayed the Marriott Champlain due to the location and accessibility it provided. Since we traveled by rail for the scenic views the hotel was within walking distance and it was great. Check-in went smooth and our room was nice and roomy. We had the city view and got a glimpse of the fireworks being set off. We stopped at the concierge desk and spoke with Ian of what activities to do and what we had in mind. Ian was great, very personable and always had a smile, patient with all the guest who he was talking with. He provided us with recommendations of the activities and how best to go about them for that day. We did pop into the M Club and staff there were friendly and always with a smile. The hotel is central and you can walk around to the different areas of Montreal or you can access the subway system by taking a different elevator down to the subway.

The room was comfortable with excellent views, and the hotel was close to our events. The breakfast was everything they said it would be and better. The restaurant itself was beautiful and comfortable. We all enjoyed our stay.

The experience of getting from reception/main floor to the parking garage could be improved with signage that starts in the lobby.

It is worth to pay for the view. A few steps from train station. Good breakfast. Very nice staff on reception!

This hotel is only one step above the 6th circle of Hell, and that save for the kindness of Otilia and Ian in concierge. Only stay here if you have given up all hope of being treated with dignity, respect and empathy and if you hate yourself and God. The water pressure and temperature of the showers is a nice touch but it reminds me of the river Styx. Maybe these idiots like it that way?

Le bruit, il y en avait autant à l'intérieur sur notre étage qu'à l'extérieur. J'ai l'habitude de prendre des hôtels dans des rues un peu plus calmes, c'est sûrement ça la différence. J'avoue aussi que les chambres ne sont pas très bien insonorisées. On entend les gens dans le corridor et on entend l'ascenseur monter et descendre en tout temps. Pour le prix, j'ai été dans des hôtels de meilleure qualité, dans le même secteur.

Just a block from Gare Central, an easy destination when arriving by train. Room was modern and spacious, with a new feeling comfortable bed. Good breakfast buffet. Taxis were at the ready when we needed an early morning departure to the airport.

Stayed here for a long break in June. Was very impressed overall. Room was excellent with the great views, comfortable bed, Japanese style toilet, and excellent shower. Robes were comfortable too for relaxing. Housekeeping staff were great at working around you and getting to know preferences. Staff at reception were great too, warm welcome at check in with relevant information given. Public areas always kept clean. Hotel got busy at times but lifts were plentiful. The concierge lounge was great for us with the water and juices through the day, breakfast and evening snacks. The staff were very patient with helping me work the coffee machine! Location is great for getting around the city on foot or by metro. There is a lift to the metro and Reso from reception. Supermarket and eateries nearby too. Despite this there is minimal traffic noise. My only small criticism was restaurant menu/availability. The Lloyd restaurant offering did not match the website. We ate well at the nearby Sheraton instead. We thought the room service menu quite minimal so didn't use it. Overall good value for money and recommended.

Incredible hotel, even better staff. My sister was visiting and I wanted to make her trip special - Ian Myers at the concierge was THE BEST and helped me make her stay super memorable. Cannot more highly recommend, and will be coming back. Thank you again!!!!!!

It’s a shame this hotel has Marriott in its name. It falls way behind any Marriott I have ever stayed at. In my opinion it is barely a 2 start hotel. Service is extremely bad, the rooms are in shambles, window opens on it own from the wind creating a serious safety hazard. Hotel said that they will send maintenance to lock it as it doesn’t have a latch. Well it should be locked before you have anyone occupy the room not after ! I highly recommend you avoid this hotel !

Room was recently renovated, but the new decor is far from luxurious or plush. The aircon is quite noisy.

We booked a club room, and the club lounge was a big disappointment. The lounge has not windows and was often untidy because of it was insufficiently staffed. The food offerings were meager in number, poor in quality, and infrequently replenished.

Breakfast was an excellent example of a snobby rule of endless turbulence between French and British Canadians in Montreal. Every morning we attended LLOYD was a theatrical display of quirky scripted moments that I would buy tickets to every morning. Now, I'm not sure whether the show is for everyone or seen by everyone. Its a wonderful performance by a staff enjoying their work and sharing the local turbulence.

Коли попросили хаузкіпінг залишити зубну щітку у ванній кімнаті, цього теж ніхто не виконав. В один з наших днів перебування був дощ - і парасольку теж неможливо було взяти, їх не було в наявності.
