Getting a little run down

The beds were comfortable.

I didn't enjoy the room. Water leaked from the bathroom onto the floor, one of the lights didn't work, and the breakfast was disappointing.

Not much. The breakfast was good. The room was clean.

The pool and hot tub have been condemned. The condition of the exterior was very dirty. Twice asked about a room for our dog. They never replied but changed our room to accommodate our puppy and charged us a whopping $25. The room was tiny, with at best a double bed. Every surface had something on it and every electrical plug was overflowing. The ac was very noisy. There were blackout curtains buy the outside lights were very very bright.

Excellent Double bed in a newly renovated room, enough space to park the car, it is directly at the roads to the South or North, very close to downtown.

Breakfast could be better, and it is easy to see what is new and what is not. Carpets at the entrance and at the the rooms should be cleaned up.

The smooth check in, friendly and professional staff, cleanliness

The swimming pool, hot pool and tobogan is in bad conditions. Outdated interior, cracks on floors, missing tiles. It needs some love. Laundry room was dirty.

Breakfast was good. And we had the pool all to ourselves which was awesome. The kids loved the water slide.

It is very old, not near as nice as the pictures show. There was algae in the pool and it was very run down. The room was fine, just very old. You can tell the carpets and the couch haven’t been cleaned in a long time.

Sad rundown hotel that does not have functional water slide as advertised. Garbage was overflowing in the breakfast area by 9am but no one seemed too worried about emptying it the entire time we were at breakfast despite one employee walking by it a few times.

We enjoyed the breakfast and the location was great for weary southbound travellers.

Dont stay here - keep driving. Unfortunately we had prebooked and paid for our nights accommodation. Hotel is old and tired. Our room was on 3rd floor with no elevator so was difficult to get luggage up to room. There are 1000s of moths on walls in staircase stairwell. We have a balcony but door has been sticky taped closed with DO NOT OPEN. There is a VCR player connected to TV which has no remote. AC either roars like a freight train or switches off with a loud clunck. Fridge has high pitch screech. Overall the whole hotel complex is looking very old and needs alot of work.

Tried to get a room and the front desk lady called me the N word. I then proceeded to the bathroom and projectiled feces and smeared it on the walls to show my dominance.

Staff were friendly and helpful at check-in. Location is nice and quiet, situated a few minutes away from the highway. Free parking and breakfast included. Bread was particularly yummy!

Hotel is incredibly dated, like an old 80s motor inn. Most rooms are located upstairs (no lift) so be aware if you have heavy bags or mobility needs. Room seemed clean enough (apart from some yellow crust around the toilet base and seat hinges) but the age of everything made it feel musty. The side of the step-in bath/shower was quite high to step over and the hotel still uses mini soaps and mini bottles of shampoo and conditioner, so only enough for one person plus wasteful packaging. Breakfast was okay, but no staff presence so we had to wipe down our table before sitting and some things (such as clean glasses) never got refilled. The bin inside the toilet in the breakfast/lobby area was overflowing to the floor with rubbish. All of this might be okay if the room was cheap but our expectations of the Ramada brand are a little higher than this. Sorry for the bad review but this place was a let-down after a long drive.

Not much..... location only..... very tired property. Super surprised it's still a Ramada. Has gone way down hill since my last stay 8+ years ago. One staff member was "good" the rest were ok.

The room was barely acceptable. Just didn't "feel" clean. The air-conditioner was full of literally what looked like ashes (as in from a BBQ or something. It was unusable.... disgusting. Ramada should really inspect this property. Based on the room we stayed 1 night instead of 2, and used no amenities. Changed properties the next day. Used to be a nice hotel.

Staff were pleasant and the continental breakfast was good.

The rooms are run down, dingy and the carpets were stained. The beds were not comfortable. The weeds in the hotel flower beds were tall and healthy and overtaking the gardens. For a one queen bed room, it was definitely not a $300/night facility.

Nice to have breakfast and the pool was fun. The staff were fantastic!

We recently stayed at the Merit Inn/Ramada and for $300 + per night, I have to say the experience was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The moment we walked into the room, the walls were visibly dirty and looked like they had not been wiped down in a very long time. The bathroom was honestly gross. The shower looked like it had not been properly cleaned at all, with visible dirt and grime left behind. It was bad enough that my 15-year-old son who, let’s be honest, teenage boys usually are not overly concerned about these things was completely mortified. He was so uncomfortable that he actually laid a towel down in the shower before stepping in because he did not want to stand directly on the floor. The toilet was no better. The seat itself looked clean, but the rest of the toilet had visible urine stains running down the bowl and around the base. The grout in the bathroom tiles was dirty and the entire bathroom simply felt gross. It honestly does not take much effort to maintain basic cleanliness standards. Something as simple as properly wiping surfaces down, scrubbing the shower, or walls and problem areas would make a world of difference. The housekeeping standards were simply unacceptable. The second frustrating issue was their handling of advertised police officer rates. My husband is a police officer, and when we inquired about the police rate, we were told they only honor that rate for walk-in bookings, not online reservations. I have traveled plenty and have honestly never encountered a policy like that before. If you advertise special rates, those policies should be clearly communicated and consistently honored. For $300 a night, I expected a clean room at bare minimum. Cleanliness is not optional in hospitality. Between the poor housekeeping standards and frustrating customer service, this was not worth the money, and unfortunately we would not stay here again.

Had a good stay at the Ramada. Was everything we needed and nothing more. The breakfast was ok.

We were in town for the weekend for a ball tournament. I would have rather slept in my car. The rooms were gross! Very outdated and very unclean. The grounds were neglected with weeds and garbage everywhere. Not something you would think when staying at a Ramada. With the amount we paid for 2 nights you would think they would have used just a small portion of profit to take care of some of the neglect and keep some integrity in their name!

Had a minor issue upon check in. They fixed it immediately and were very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Breakfast can have hash brown or something to change everyday diced potatoes for a bit change but can't complain. Just a suggestion. Loved everything about the hotel.

My mom (81) fell outside due to uneven pavement and scraped her elbow. When she woke the next day she realized she had bled on the top sheet. The hotel charged me $100 saying it couldn’t be cleaned. Ridiculous Blood washes out of white using baking soda paste and vinegar. Very disappointed. Ill never stay there again. And $100 for a top sheet…more like $20.

The front desk staff were very friendly and ensured we were having a great experience. The room was large and the price very reasonable.

Check-in process was the worst I've ever experienced. One untrained staff member at check-in. Clearly did not understand the computer system used by the hotel. I was second in linee and it took her 15 minutes to deal with the person in front of me (and which required multiple phone calls to others to help her figure out what was required). Same for me. 15 minutes to check in. Part way through I was told to sit down because the computer "was reloading". After phone calls, other staff appeared and check -in was completed. I will avoid this hotel in future. There are many similar options nearby at similar prices.

Hot breakfast was very good. Location perfect as a stopover on way back to Vancouver.

The pool was dirty the chair in the room had a straw with “white residue” in it that my child found there was no elevator and we were on the top floor with two kids so there was a lot of stuff to bring up

Location was good. Easy to get around. Friendly staff. Easy check in, especially online. Liked the mini fridge/freezer combo in the room- very nice.

Breakfast is blah for hot foods (eggs and sausage were undercooked, potatoes okay). The AC was not very powerful and kept shutting off before actually reaching the desired temperature. The rooms need a fresh coat of paint and some upgrades.

Messaged about necklace left in the room. And never received a message back. Meh

The bed was incredibly comfortable. The pillows were the perfect density and size to make our sleep more comfortable. The hottub was an enjoyable extra. The shower had a great flow.

The noise, my god, the noise. Our A/C and heating unit was extremely loud; however, the A/C unit in the room next to us was horribly loud to the point where the pictures on the wall vibrated every time it cycled on. When asked, the front desk called the room next door, but the man in that unit was unresponsive. In the night, our refrigerator started to vibrate every time it cycled on. I eventually had to unplug the refrigerator.

I had a great stay at Ramada Merritt. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Overall, a pleasant and convenient place to stay—I’d happily return.

Had to change rooms because the door had been kicked in and the safety latch had not been replaced. Changed rooms and the heat did not work. The room was very cold until 3am. I woke up and the heat must have came on in the middle of the night, then it was so hot that I had to open the door to cool the room. Never went back to sleep. Also, people smoking on the way to your room, hanging out drinking, swearing and very loud. No elevator, stairs we're very steep for seniors to climb.

Location: easily assessible off the road and amble parking. Price: very reasonable in price for the quality you received. Rooms: clean, tidy, spacious, we had 3 beds for a family of 5 and it was a nice room. Shower had nice hot water and we were provided with dove soap products which is nice. Food: breakfast is provided and my kids are well and that's saying a lot. Had multiple choices for food and I enjoyed the food. Staff: nice and accommodating. Pool: my kids loved the pool and the waterslide. Overall experience: for the cost and what we got this is a lovely place to stay with a family.
